Provisioning different User Type to different systems

Dear Experts,
Is there a way by which we can provision different user types to defferent systems via CUP?
We have the following requirement:
1. User created in ECC should be dialog user
2. User created in BW should be service user
3. User always selects ECC and BW at the same time in one request
Thanks for your attention.

Hi Tang,
You can try this with creating 2 different  custom field or 2 unused field in end user form like employee type and some other field. Then you need to define provisioning field mapping for both of these system differently.
Like you created 2 fields EEC_USER_TYPE  & BW_User_TYPE then while making provisioning field mapping you need to create 2 different group. EEC_Mapping and BW MApping and map the respective custom field with Provisioning field mapping group.
I hope this will help you.
Regards.

  • Provisioning of User Group to BI systems

    Hello there,
I am struggling a bit to find any documentation of how the User Group (BAPILOGOND-CLASS) can be provisioned to a BI system. We are already provisioning Valid From (BAPILOGOND-GLTGV) and Valid To (BAPILOGOND-GLTGB) so was imagining that it would be straight forward to provision the User Group as well. Any ideas?

  • Error when provisioning the user in SAP system.

    Hi,
I am trying to provision a user for a SAP system from SAP IDM Netweaver.
I am geeting error message as below.
    boldputNextEntry failed storingB19253
Exception from Add operation:com.sap.idm.ic.ToPassException: Password is not long enough (minimum length: 7 characters)
Exception from Modify operation:com.sap.idm.ic.ToPassException: User B19253 does not exist Internal error: FM SUSR_USER_READ, exception: 1 Inconsistency with addressbold.
This is happening only with this user. All other users are getting provisioned properly.
Some one please tell why this is happening and let me know if more information is needed.

    Hi
Can you post some more info
What is your password policy on the identity store?
Do you have a minimum length of 7?
How long is this users password?

  • Meaning of User types & their use....

    Hi all,
Please explain me below user types and their significance in brief:
    USR02-USTYP  Description
    A             Dialog
B             System User (Internal RFC and Background Processing)
    C             Communication User (External RFC)
    L             Reference User
    S             Service User
    Regards,
    Sachin

    User Type
    Dialog 'A'
A normal dialog user is used by one person only for all types of logon.
During a dialog logon, the system checks for expired and initial passwords and provides an option to change the password.
Multiple dialog logons are checked and logged if necessary.
    System 'B'
Use the system user type for internal system processes (-> background processing) or system-related processes (-> ALE, workflow, TMS, CUA).
Dialog logon (using SAP GUI) is not possible.
A user of this type is excluded from the general settings for password validity. Only user administrators can change the password using transaction SU01 (Goto -> Change Password).
    Multiple logons are permissible.
    Communication 'C'
Use users of type Communication for dialog-free communication between systems (-> RFC or CPIC) .
Dialog logon (using SAP GUI) is not possible.
The general settings for the validity period of a password apply to users of this type. Users of this type can change their passwords (like dialog users). The dialogs for changing the password must be provided by the caller (RFC/CPIC client). You can use the RFC function module USR_USER_CHANGE_PASSWORD_RFC or the RFC API function RfcOpenEx() to change the password.
    Service 'S'
A user of the type Service is a dialog user that is available to an anonymous, larger group of users. Generally, this type of user should only be assigned very restricted authorizations.
For example, service users are used for anonymous system access using an ITS service or a public Web service. Once an individual has been authenticated, a session that started anonymously using a service user can be continued as a personal session using a dialog user (see SUSR_INTERNET_USERSWITCH)
During logon, the system does not check for expired and initial passwords. Only the user administrator can change the password.
    Multiple logon is allowed.
    Reference 'L'
Like the service user, a reference user is a general user, not assigned to a particular person. You cannot log on using a reference user. The reference user is only used to assign additional authorization. Reference users are implemented to equip Internet users with identical authorizations.
On the Roles tab, you can specify a reference user for additional rights for dialog users. Generally, the application controls the allocation of reference users. You can allocate the name of the reference user using variables. The variables should begin with "$". You assign variables to reference users in transaction SU_REFUSERVARIABLE.
This assignment applies to all systems in a CUA landscape. If the assigned reference user does not exist in one of the CUA child systems, the assignment is ignored.

  • User Type (Dialog , Communication etc) can impact on SAP User Licensing

    Dear Expert,
The User Type (Dialog, Communication, System etc) can impact on SAP User Licensing.
Suppose if I craete a user type other than DIALOG such as SYSTEM or COMMUNICATION etc; will this be counted as License User. Or only DIALOG users are paid license users.
    Kindly advice.

    Thanks Uday and Nagendra...
    Dear Nagendra,
with reference to below sentense from your referred link
    " Consolidating Contractual User Types
    Use
With this procedure, you consolidate the contractual user types of the individual users. The LAW takes account of the fact that certain contractual user types are already contained in others. In this way, license costs are only incurred for the inclusive user types of the user."
When I go User Classification Display screen, under Contractual User Type column all my 150 users are marked "Operational" but for those which I defined as System / Communication User are defined any contractual user type.
    What does it mean??
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Diferent password expiration days for different users in the same system.

    Hi sdn gurus,
We need to configure different password expiration days for different groups of users in the same system.
We know how to configure the system to define a password expiration time for the complete system (parameter login/password_expiration_time), but we must configure some expiration time to a group of users and another expiration time to another one in the SAME system.
Somebody know a way to do this?
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

    Hi Sunny,
    Thanks for your reply!!!
We know the parameter is for the complete system ... but we are trying to find out if exist another way to define diferent passwrod expiration days, to diferent group of users (may be with an additional system parameters or UME configuration).
Thanks to all for your help.

  • Users in different systems GRC Access Controls

    Hello
Today we have more than 40 systems (dev, quality, prod)
We use access enforcer for provisioning to all these 40 systems.
Is there a way for us to find out if a user account exists in these 40 systems (connectors)?
    Example:
User RAMSEY exists in quality, fix, prod r3
    exists in prod bw etc.,
Can we find this information in any of the GRC Access Controls products?
    Thanks

Sorry, Prakash. This fuctionality does not exist in CUP. It used to exist in early versions of Access Enforcer (AE.NET). This is a good feature and lots of cutomers want this feature. I hope SAP includes it.
You can find the user using RAR (CC) but again it will be maunal process. You can go to informer -> risk analysis. Over there you can select the system and search for user. If the user exists, it will show up. This will not work, if you have not done user sync from SAP system to RAR.

  • How One EP Portal will connect the 2 Different System(ECC Europe,China)

    Hi Friends,
I have one more doubt on Multi region Functionality. Here we are using single EP Portal. Depending up on user we are able to connect to the ECC System.
Ex: Here we are using 2 ECC Systems( ECC Europe and ECC China). In Portal ECC Europe is login into the Portal he will be able to connect ECC Europe System through ECC Europe Model data and Meta Data like as ECC China user Login into the Portal he will be able to connect ECC China System through ECC China System Model data and Meta Data.
How can I do this work. Can you tell me. What type of coding I can write here. Please give Help.
    Regards
    VijayK

    Hi Vijay,
Not just multiple Systems/JCos needed, you also need multiple souce objects to connect to multiple Systems/JCos.
In your case you need multiple iView (applications), and configure them to connect to different back-end systems.
You got to modify the Application Parameter of WD iView objects saperately to talk to different systems.
Reason, you cannot make one application to use multiple JCo destinations at any point of time.
    Thanks,

  • System measurement user types

while running transaction usmm for system measurement i noticed i get
    results regrading 3 kinds of users - professional,limited pro,employee.
according to which principle the clasification to user types is made? -
in other words can i move user from one clasification to another
(professional to limited pro for example) or is it related to
    rolesgiven to each user?.

    Hello Moshe,
    I don't get you. What's your problem?
    User types are for pricing.
So every user type stands for a different fee you have to pay to SAP.
An user who only want to see data is cheaper than an user who want to change data.
When you do a system measurement and send the data to SAP, then they can evaluate the users with a certain user type and compute the fee for your user licenses.
    Regards, Michael
p.S.: I never mentioned a test user type

  • How to use BPM itegrate different system aysnchronously

for example, 3 enterprise applications need to be integrated together with BPM, which are Bid system, ERP system, Finance system,
and erery business document should be approved  by persons one by one in the 3 different application system with its workflow respectively, we can't change the workflow in the
different system, and only when the document is finished approved in the BID system asynchronously, it can enter the ERP system, an so on .
after the business document is approved in the Bid system, it should be returned in the BPM contexts, and the BPM user will dicide whether it will be enter the next system.
so how to integrate the 3 application system?
I draw a[ BPM process|http://www3.picturepush.com/photo/a/2586651/640/Picture-Box/aaa.jpg], but in this process,  the "ERP human activity" activity, this activity how to get data from the "BID system asyn workflow" which is an asynchronized
    wrokflow?

    Gavin,
For asynchronous cases, you should adopt the "wait and trigger" principle.  In BPM, you can acheive it by using a timer and an automated activity. Set the timer repeat time to say 15 mins (you should change it as per your business scenario), and then execute / trigger an automated activity, which will call your Bid system to check the state (whether the data entry / specific workflow is over). If the state is completed, (you may check using exclusive choice), move to next step. Else, pass back the control to timer which will again make the process wait. This way the objective could be attained.
    Hope this helps.

  • Different approvers for 2 roles of the same name in 2 different systems

    Hi experts,
in our SAP landscape we have roles of the same name in different systems. I couldn't find any possibility to select different approvers for these two roles in GRC 5.3 SP08.
For example role XYZ exists in system P1 and P2. In P1 I want to select only person A as role approver, in system P2 only person B.
Is there any chance to select an approver for a combination role and system?
    Thanks,
    Manuel

    Hi Manuel,
Yes. You can create a custom approver determinator. Go to CUP>>Configuration>>Workflow>>Custom approver determinators. Chose create new.
    CAD type: Attribute
    Workflow type: Access Enforcer
    Select your attributes and save.
Go back. Select your new approver determinator in change mode.
    Click on the Approve button.
Create logic between the attributes and approvers.
Modify your role approval stage. Select your new custom approver determinator.

  • Business Package, Alias and different systems....

    Hello everybody,
I have got some questions concerning the mentioned topics.
I have a business package (Internal Sales Repr.) and it is already installed.
<b>1.</b> On each iView in the business package there is set an ID for a SAP System, for example a BW. Is this the SID or is it the ALIAS I defined for a system to access the BW?
<b>2.</b> There is a machine with enterprise portal, R/3 and BW running under the same SID. They all have different clients. (thank god it is a test system and not productive)
Do I need to create different systems in the portal to access to BW and R/3 because of the different clients?
Is it generally possible to implement SSO form the portal to the Backend, if they have the same SID?
<b>3.</b> The ID from 1. is not set as a deltalink. Is it defined by default or it is set when I install the business package?
Wow, a lot of stuff. But I hope you can help me
    thanks
    christian

    Hi Christian,
Two different system has to be created in portal. In the system object you have to set the connector properties, user admin, user mapping and the WAS for BW and ITS for R/3 properties.
You have to create the system alias and the test the connection.
For import and export of the certificates. you have to use Strustsso2 transaction.

  • Unable to compare the same program in different systems

    Hi,
We have a Development & QA system (apart from Production). Now for a program that is in both, Dev & QA, I wanted to compare them using SE37. I clicked on "Compare Different Systems"  button. Now I selected the program from Dev for Left-Justified & from QA for Right. When I hit the "Display" button, it gave me the following error message:
Error remote access: Error during the retrieval of the logon data store.
Can anyone help me with this?
    Thank you.

    Hi Jack,
I went to SM59 & double clicked on my RFC (that I thought would work). It took me to the RFC destination config. screen & it showed me the following message:
User password invalid for identifier /RFC/---- (see long text)
( the dotted lines denote the RFC name )
It's not shown with a red cross mark. It's shown with a Green tick mark. So how do I correct this now & be able to compare the proram? Please let me know.
    Thank you.

  • ChaRM - possible to have 2 different system landscapes in one project?

    Hi,
can anyone tell me if it is possible to have 2 different system landscapes in one project. One landscape for developing and testing the Change Requests and another one for developing and testing the Bugfixes.
    Thanks,
    Martin

As Rick, mentions, there's no default way.
Having said that, there's nothing stopping you from doing it yourself. You can add a kind of language selector to the layout and set that for every html5 output. With some JavaScript, you can have the user switch between your outputs. It would look like content categories, but you'll have build it yourself.
