Proxy Maximum Payload size

Hi ,
What is the maximum size of payload a proxy ( ABAP server/client) can handle in XI?  Also send me docs on Proxy Sizing ?
Regards,
Praveen Kumar

Hi,
I don't think there is any limitation of the size of payload.
You can refer to these guides.

  • BIOS SETTING, need help! MAXIMUM PAYLOAD SIZE? NEO4 PLAT SLI

Hi everyone, this is my first post here, and hope someone will help me out.  I've searched the internet, posted on other websites and no one can help me with this question.  What does MAXIMUM PAYLOAD SIZE do?  What is the correct setting for this?  Curruntly I have it at 4096, but what should it be at?  Thanks everyone.

Thats a good one (question)... as far as I know it could be similar to the old AGP Aperture Size, but the amount of data doesn't correspond; megabytes vs. kilobytes.
It could be the logical data unit which is carried thru the PCI-E bus in order to feed the PCI-E devices, this is sounds better yet again would be something similar to the AGP Aperture Size: not amount of data being mapped at physical memory, but the size of the data units being transfered.
Hope this helps... try the values to either side and test with a 3d Benchmark, if you see a diference then come back and tell us.
    Good Luck.

  • Maximum input payload size(for an XML file) supported by OSB

    Hey Everyone,
I wanted to know, what is the maximum payload size that OSB can handle.
The requirement is to pass XML files as input to OSB and insert the data of the XML files in the oracle staging tables. The OSB will host all the .jca, wsdl, xml, xml schema and other files required to perform the operation.
The hurdle is to understand, what is the maximum XML file size limit, that OSB can allow to pass through without breaking.
I did some test runs and got the following output,
Size of the XML file:  OSB successfully read a file of size, 3176kb but failed for a file of size 3922kb, so the OSB breakpoint occurs somewhere between 3-4 MB, as per the test runs.
Range of number of Lines of XML:  102995 to 126787, since OSB was able to consume a file with lines (102995) and size 3176kb but broke for a file with number of lines (126787) and size 3922kb.
Request to please share your views on the test runs regarding the OSB breakpoint and also kindly share the results, if the same test has been performed at your end.
    Thank you very much.

  • Payload Size

Whats the Maximum Payload Size XI can handle?
We are expecting one of our outbound IDOC to a size of 7.37 MB's and we are not sure Whether XI is capable of handling this size?

Whatever the source system, message processing is taking place in the Integration Engine. So payload size comes into picture there only. If once file is picked up, then messages will be in XI pipleine..So you can consider one of parameters.

  • Maxium Payload Size...where to find its meaning?

What does Maxium Payload Size mean in the graphics Bios?
Right now it is set to 4096 and wich are the differences among other settings???
    Pad

    Pad,
I thought that the Whatis.com information complete enough, but I have had a little experience with Serial Data Transitions Protocols.
However, when you looking for information on computer functions, you will find the data is 9 out 10 times in two forms.  One is so general in nature that it only gives you small piece of what need to know or if it goes in detail, then it is so narrow scope that you spend hours boiling down all the detailed information and again it only gives you small piece of what need to know.  However, over time, you learn to put all of the little pieces of information together, and then you know the subject.
I do not know if this will help will help, but I will try to explain what I learned to day from the Whatis.com.  As far, a PCI-E data transmitions are concerned in regards to Maximum Payload Size.
PCI-Express data transmitions are serial data transmitions, it is just that the controller, which is transmitting the data, has multiple serial routes to send the data to the device that is to receive the data.  Therefore, to send the data faster the controller breaks the data down into packages of data and sends the packets of data all at the time using its multiple routes.
This is where “Maximum Payload Size” comes in the controller as it divides the data by the number of routes it has to send the data on.  If the block of data the controller has to transmit is large each packet send by each route would be long and if the were no limit on the size of the packet the controller can send.  Then larger data blocks could tie up transmition of data to the device for long periods.  This is fine if there is only one program that needs to communicate with the device, but if and other program need to send a block of data to the device that is more important then its data would not get sent in a timely manor and say its was time dependant the system breaks down and the system crashes.
Therefore, your Maximum Payload size tell controller if the block of data being transmited must be broken a into groups of packets to be sent and before it sends each group of packets.  The controller must check and see if the is another block of data with higher priority that need to be sent.  If there is the controller switches to sending the higher priority block of data’s groups of packets and is checking priority of data blocks waiting repeated repeatedly until all blocks of data are sent with the data packet groups with highest priority being send first.  Then, it is the poor device controller’s job to receive those packets, place them back into individual blocks of data and for the device to use and act upon.
If still confused, Pad just say, so and I will try again.

  • Maximum Message size OSB can handle

    Hi,
I am trying to find out the maximum message size OSB can handle without any problems.
I know this may be dependant on JVM settings etc,but what is a safe limit. Can the payload size be of 1 GB etc , say for a WSDL based proxy service.
Any formal documentation on the size of messages?
    Thanks.

The best solution to handle this type of requirement is Using JAVA proxy only, write logic to split the file 10mb only, becaus its not advisable to process more than 10mb files, even SAP say they tested with 1gb.
i had experiece the same in one yeay back,we resolved using JAVA proxy, how to split the file is just take number of lines or try to fine other way...

  • Human Task string payload size restriction

We are developing a BPEL process with a Human Task component for an operational support app. The idea is whenever a message fails in the service bus due to transformation or validation error, we need to send that payload to this bpel process , which will create a human task and an operational support personnel ( both business & technical) will fix the payload via bpm worklist app and then bpel can resubmit the message to the service bus.
In this app, we are trying to send the failed message as a string payload to the task . Most of the payloads are of csv and fixed length type and we can't wrap it in xml , because the business users who might be acting on fixing this payload are not XML familiar. And the payload sizes vary from 1 kb -4 MB
When testing this , we have hit the below error during task initiation , which I think says string payloads should n't be more than 2000 bytes in size
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "DEV1164_SOAINFRA"."WFMESSAGEATTRIBUTE"."STRINGVALUE" (actual: 2183, maximum: 2000)
In this context, can you suggest what possible options I have. One option I can think of is wrapping the payload in XML instead of string, which is not so liked here..
    TIA,
    Atheek

We solved this by transforming the XML when entering a human task. The transformation removed any attributes in the payload. This solved the issue.

This issue looks like the request is timing out making the request, meaning the network is not fast enough for this size message.
If you use a different adapter, e.g. JMS. then you can debatch the message.

  • StreamInsight Exception: The event is too big to fit into one page. The maximum event size is '230' bytes

    Hi,
I'm using version 2.1 and getting the following exception
System.InvalidOperationException: The event is too big to fit into one page. The maximum event size is '230' bytes, but the event size is '234' bytes. Try reduce the size of the event payload.
Everywhere I read tells me the maximum page size is 16K, so why am I hitting a 230 byte limit? Secondly how can I increase this to the full 16K?
    Thanks,
    Jeremy

That is ... unusual. I've never seen that. Can you provide some details on what your payload looks like and the query?

Don't know why, but the "maximum heap size: 267380736 bytes" value is just slightly less than 256*1024*1024, wheras the reported initial size is equal to that.
Try setting the initial value to 255MB.

  • How to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?

    hi All
That's great when using SQL Dev.
But I also have a trouble that how to change font size, maximum column size in the result screen ?
My users think that font in result screen is shown very small, and whenever the data in each colum is long then it's not shown full data in column, they must double click for extend the size. Have the option to default the max size for showing full data in each column ? I try but still not to do that .
Appreciate for anyone to help us.
    Thanks all.
    Sigmasvn

You can't change the font for the results screen yet, however you will be able to select an auto-fit option for selected columns, so if some columns have slitghtly wider text you'll be able to set the column widths to handle these wider columns.
Also, there s the option of switching the layout of a record in the grid.

  • What is an idea of maximum file size for a film in Captivate?

    Hi there,
I'm creating an elearning course in Captivate 7, and it is being published as HTML5. This means the films I've imported are being converted to MP4s, and they are around 10-20mb in size once they've converted. They seem very slow to load on some computers - do you think the file size is too big? Or could it be another issue? Does anyone have a recommendation for maximum file size for films? They are 572 x 322px and around 1-2 mins in length.
    Thanks in advance

Probably better guidelines that dictates 'size' of a vi are:
typically no more than 1 video screen in size
    is it legible
and is it's function and operation clear.
I have seen examples of '1 vi does it all' that were many screens wide and tall, totally a flustercuck, and nearly 1 MB in size.
Globals and local variables (except for LV2 style) are typcially shunned for they can create a host of problems (race conditions, indeterminant data).
Use connector pane to wire controls and indicators to. Then use wires between vi's to transfer data. I tend to use clusters to hold shared data.

  • Maximum file-size for HR EIC emails

    Hi folks
We currently use EIC in ERP, and have an issue with sending large emails/attachments as the maximum file-size appears to be only 2MB. This is set in the IMG activity Employee Interaction Center (EIC) -> Interaction Center Web-Client -> Communication Channels ->E-Mail -> Define E-Mail Profiles, the attachment maximum size is set to a maximum of 2,147,483 bytes.
I have tried searching for anyone else having a similar problem, but haven't found anything. I would imagine many customers would have EIC users in a Shared Services environment sending attachments over 2 meg; so before we log a call with SAP, has anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve it?
    Thanks very much.
    James

The maximum value is 2,147,483 bytes, which is what the config is set to. This seems pretty low, especially in this day and age.

  • Maximum font size for auto-sized form text

You need to let the user select a maximum font size for automatically sized text. If most of your fields are set at 10pt type, but you have one field for which you want the text to resize automatically, it looks stupid if that cell contains a small amount of text that’s set at 16pt or whatever. If you could set the maximum font size to 10pt for that field, then the text would be consistent with the text in the other fields unless there is so much text that it needs to scale down.

    Can anyone please advise?
    Cheers
