Proxying request to multiple servers

Hi!,
I am using weblogic 510 with sp9. I want to configure it such that I can
proxy my request to multiple servers. I have already configured it for one
server but now I want to do it for 3 more servers.
Can anyone give me any help on this.
I need it real early.

As an alternative, you can use webapp's to achieve this.

we are migrating off oc4j to Weblogic 10.3.
One of the things that we really really liked about oc4j was the ability to distribute our applications across multiple JVMs, but refer to any of the apps with the same hostname and port; this meant that we could change the distribution of the applications over the JVMs and not touch the URLs used to access those applications. We would do this to isolate troublesome apps from other ones, and to keep JVM size reasonable.
With WebLogic, our understanding is that only one managed server can be accessed on a given host/port, and a managed server is one JVM. Does this mean that we will need to either put all our apps into one JVM, or else change URLs as the we move apps from one managed server to another?

about the root scenario were the fastest will win)
Note that if the scopes overlap on the servers, they might not lease out all the addresses in the scope.
I would enlarge the scope as you will want to fence against unavailability of one of the servers (or a network connection for that matter). you currently have more addresses leased out than any set of two of your servers can offer.

Multiple Servers with same Remote Interface?

Is it possible to declare the same remote interface on multiple RMI servers? Secondly, is it possible to pick which RMI server will manage a particular request?
In other words, imagine if multiple servers could service a particular request that has the same signature, but the client wants to specify which server to send the invocation. An example would be the following:
public String getPhoneNumber(String pLastName) ;But the client should decide that server A should manage requests of last names starting with A-G, server B should handle H-P, and server C should handle Q-Z. The remote method invocation is the same, but the server upon which is should be invoked needs to be determined at runtime.
I realize this can be done multiple ways, with an interim proxy server that designates the server. However, I'm most interested in the ability within the RMI and/or JNDI standard to select and invoke methods on a particular server.

"Server" is a little bit vague in this context.
My assumption is that you want separate RMI servers running on separate hosts. (Otherwise, why bother with multiple "servers"?)
That being said, it's not clear to me how you would expect RMI to sort out something as application-specific as you suggest. It sounds to me like you need your own registry/redirector. This is going to either be an rmiregistry rewrite by you, or - as was suggested by another poster - a proxy.

How to set up Planning on Multiple Servers

1) I am trying to install a Finance Planning application so that it runs on one Planning Web Server and the other operations Planning application on another Planning 9.3.1 web server. Is that possilbe?
2) May be unrelated question:
HP_Windows_Install.pdf has only a few lines explaining how to set up Planning on Multiple Servers. Is it as simple as that?

Managing multiple servers

Not sure what i am looking for at the moment but we have 6 * solaris 9 servers, 5 * solaris 10, about 30 zones and it's only going to get bigger.
it's become a real pain to manage(add,remove,keep track) users across multiple server/zones. How do other people go about managing multiple servers i for one don't want to log into each box/ zone and create a user accout which is currently what we do.
Guess what i am looking for is some way of managing all of our boxes from a central point.

Using a directory service like NIS or LDAP will allow user accounts for many hosts to be created and managed centrally. LDAP is what Active Directory is based on. Sun's implementation is called iPlanet. Sun One Directory Server, or Java Directory service, depending on the phases of the moon.
For spotting problems on servers (disk full, host down, &c), we use nagios. It's fantastic.
My employer also spent a good deal of money on opsware, but shall we say the benefits of it are not yet obvious.

Wasn't able to call POST, though the GET method was successfully called. My guess is that the Server/Rest service doesn't like the content type of the request. HTTPService uses a content type of application/x-www-form-urlencoded by default. Maybe the Rest service is expecting the request to be XML? If that's the case, you need to set the contentType property of the HTTPService to application/xml.
Sometimes an HTTP sniffer/proxy such as Charles can be useful for debugging these kinds of issues. If my suggestion doesn't help, capture the HTTP request and response using a HTTP sniffer like Charles and post back to this thread with it and someone will take a look at it for you. Thanks.

I need your help to work for my scenario which is a Proxy-File .
I need to send data picked up from certain group of tables via sender proxy to XI.
The problem is that , we will be having thousands of records at the same time , so what we plan we can send the records via multiple messages in bunch of n no of messages rather sending the entire data in a single message.
Can you please help me in order to find a way by which we can achieve this in sender proxy ( to send multiple messages with each bunch having n no of messages ) .

This scenario can be handled at abap end.
Decide the number of records you want to send in one file. In abap when the number of records reached then call the abap proxy method. For the remaining records again call the abap proxy method so while going to XI it will pass only the number of records desired by you.

Folder Comparison from multiple servers

I need to compare folders from multiple servers which do not have direct connection so i was trying to generate a text file with command dir /b /s >c:\server1.txt and feed them to script to compare.
my desired output is csv file in the following format
File name,Server1,server2,server3,is it missng file?
File1,yes,yes,yes,No
file2,Yes,Yes,No,Yes
File3,Yes,No,Yes,Yes
File4,No,Yes,Yes,Yes
these folders contains few hundred thousand files and the script is taking 4 to 5 hours to run the comparison. i thought threads will help to run fast using parallel processng but did not help. i have no expreience with threads and after searching for examples
and implementing it was even slower than normal.
i probably am doing something wrong. Any help is much appreciated.

Multiple Servers for Development Team in WLI2.1 on wlidomain

Has anyone tried to create multiple servers so that a development team can share
the resources of a domain with WLI 2.1? If so, how did it work. I have done this
with WLS but would like to try it with WLI.
I tried to create multiple servers, but, had difficulty as there seems to many
resources that are tied to the server name and default port. Also, I tried to
change the port and that caused alot of problems on the myserver.

I was not looking for something which is scaling out Hyperion Planning(via load balancer)/Horizontal clustering.
But was looking for some thing like Vertical clustering(multiple JVMs/nodes of Hyperion Planning within a single planning server) which was applicable in 11.1.1.3.
Came to know that with 11.1.2.2 vertical clustering not more supported.

Multiple servers to one APEX install.

At the moment, I'm in the position of having APEX running on the site using the internal Oracle server. This was the initial plan as there aren't many IT resources on site, so maintaining the more complex setups was not really an option. However, I'd like to spend a little time investigating the Apache based setup and especially the APEX Listener (as that sounds as though it'll end up supporting NTLM).
The question is, is it possible to have multiple servers, all connected to the APEX install, serving correctly (spotting subtle issues would probably be beyond my ability to spot quickly)?
The aim for this is to find a method of running multiple access methods simultaneously, enabling efficient migration from one to another should the benefits of running with a particular method (such as APEX Listener) become overwhelmingly strong.

yes, no problem, you can run multiple different connection methods (apex listener, mod_plsql, epg) parallel.

Apache configuration for proxying requests to Weblogic SSL port

Hello Everyone,
I want to proxy requests from Apache to Weblogic server on its SSL Port 7002. I am using the default SSL demo version provided by Oracle/BEA.
Both my Apache and Weblogic instances are running on same machine.
This is the procedure I followed. I enabled SSL port on Weblogic. Added below configuration to Apache conf file. I am passing trusted.crt file inside WL_HOME/server/lib as parameter to TrustedCAFile .

I'm using WL9 and Apache2.2
I had exact same issue as above (which I solved with these directions) in additiion to another issue, that only showed once I enabled full logging, since it shows as warning/info, not as error
First to enable full logging, add this
Debug ALL
WLLogFile "C:/wl_proxy.log"
Then after a failure (even after fixing the above), look at the log, and if you see this INFO/WARN:

that means you have same problem as I do. The WeblogicHost inside the Location descriptor should match the actual host name for the machine. I believe it's easer because the certificate created by weblogic during its installation will encapsulate the machine host name, or because the SSL validation mechanism expects the machine host name, nothing else.
Here's how the config would like (my hostname is comp1)

I'm facing problem in sending Approval request to multiple approvers.I have List of accountid's to which approval Requet has to be sent.I tried giving multiple id's in the "Owner" field of mannual action, which is not working.can any one let me know how to implement this.

I used multi approval subprocess, this is the code that i have used

but im unable to get the approval request in the corresponding Administrator approval list.
