PS-LX300USB turntable microphone/line level

I am attempting to record our old record collection to MP3 files for use on an iPod. The little instruction manual that came with the turntable says to set the microphone/line level at no more than 2, but the online instruction manual says to set it at 100. Quite a difference. Does anyone have any experience about which one is right?

No takers. Hm. OK. After some more research on the Net it appears to be that all the Fast Tracks suffer from the same problem, which makes me believe that it's not a bug, but a feature of an unexplainable kind. Oh, well, back to my old iMic noisemaker (this one works, it's just screened very poorly, so it picks up all the possible interference, and also makes its own little nasty hiss--this is why I switched to the Fast Track a while ago--so I will need to cut it out with an EQ, again). Hopefully, the EQ surgery will not affect the synthesizer's sound consistency as severely as it use to do with a microphone.

  • How do I get a good line level from the headphone jack from my latest model iMac?

My house is wired for analog sound and have for years used my iPod and iPhone to send an analog signal to my amplifier which drives speakers in multiple rooms. When I try this on my brand new iMac I get a buzz. Is there a setting or patch cable that can give line level analog audio out of my iMac?

There is no audio out any longer on the new iMacs.
Not true.   All the iMacs have audio out, including the current models:
Headphone/optical digital audio output (minijack) - this can be used for line output also
Support for Apple iPhone headset with microphone
The current models don't have an audio input.

  • Recording line-level input with Griffin iMic

I'm having trouble recording line-level input from a stereo system with a Griffin iMic. Even though all extraneous inputs have been deactivated, I'm still getting a slight feedback hum. There should be no extraneous noise whatsoever. I haven't done this in quite a while, so I've forgotten what I must do. Any help is apprreciated. Thanks very much. Peace,
    iBook G3, 1.42 Mac mini G4 DVD±RW   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   640Mb SDRAM, 1gb DDRAM

I'm trying to digitize an audio cassette with
Soundtrack Pro. My setup includes a Griffin iMic
that goes to a USB port. The trouble I'm having is
in controlling the input volume. The level meters
indicate clipping, but I'm not clear how to set the
    input level.
If it's in the Recording tab (>Input) with the Gain
    slider, mine is greyed out.
    M Wohlgy,
(I know this is months after your post.)
Control of the iMic volume is in the Preferences pane called "Sound". You can set the output and the input levels there.
Remember the iMic's position switch works only for the imput, either close to the microphone icon for "microphone" or away from it for "line in".
    I use the iMic exclusively.

  • Mini jack headsets line level or mic level?

Can someone please tell me if they have tested the mini jack headsets with a mac.  I know for a fact that if the microphone doesn't provide a line level input, that you won't be able to use this type of headset on a mac.  Even if you have the physical ports needed on your mac and the mac knows how to interpret the mic signal, you won't be able to use the headset unless it provides a line level input.

G4 Minis do not have optical out - only analog.
Line-level seems to be a strenght of analog signal - according to this WikipediA article. Whether the G4 will adjust the signal depending on which type of cable you use or always send the same signal is unknown to me, but there is no option in System Preferences nor in Audio MIDI Setup (in /Applications/Utilities) to specify which kind of signal can be sent.

  • Line level 1 volt?

    Hi,
I will like to find out on whether any of the Sound Blaster audio product support line level 1 volt audio for both microphone input and audio output?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Muss

Line-in inputs basically are designed to match line-out output levels. There is usually a volume adjustment available, though. There are actually two line-level standards, consumer line-level and professional line-level with the latter being a stronger (higher-voltage) signal. I think consumer line-level is defined at about 1 volt peak, but many devices are actually around 2 volts peak. My knowledge of CL soundcards is that they are of the 2 volt variety, and they also have a 2x recording multiplier (digital). That means that a recording volume setting of 50% is the "unity" setting which neither amplifies nor attenuates the incoming signal (there are some other factors which affect this slightly). The line-in input also has a (probably analog) attenuation adjustment which lets an input signal which is "too hot" for the digital range to be adjusted to prevent the ADC range from being exceeded.
It's not directly applicable to your question, but my webpage on SBLive/SBAudigy sample rate conversion:
    http://pages.sbcglobal.net/hamakerd/sbsrc
describes calibration steps which may give you some additional insight into this (follow the "here" link under "Additional Information" ).

    Hi folks,
there is one record at the header level and two records at the line level in the xml data file. I created the following view and when i see the results, I see two records as expected but the value for the line level coloumns is null but there are some values for the containerid in the xml data file
Here is the view and bellow that is my schema that i registered and the inserted the xml datafile into the default table specified in the schema .
Can you please tell me whats wrong with this view.

  • Reg: Sale Order short close at Schedule lines level

    Dear Gurus,
Requirement is to close all open schedule lines beyond one month.
In detailed. User Enters Manual Schedule Lines as per the requirement of the customer say for 6 months.
for Eg . Sale order entered on 1st of august to Dec with 500 qty, schedule 100 qty/Month, manually in sale order.
Now if business delivers only 90 out of 100. they need to short close that particular schedule line only not the entire sale order or line item. I tried with Delivery block at schedule lines level. but it is not working.
If any one has come across this scenario please share with me.
    Regards
    Praveen

If we apply a delivery block the pending qty will automatically add to the last schedule date. Ex. if there is 3 dates in the schedule lines, and there is some 50 qty pending in second date, and if u apply delivery block it will carry forward that pending 50 qty to the third schedule line and adds up with it.
But in my case i just want to close that pending 50 qty in second line item.
    Regards
    Praveen

  • G/L Account mentioned on line level does not get hit in Journal entry on GRPO and AP Invoice in SAP B1 9.0 PL - 11

    Hi,
G/L Account mentioned on line level does not get hit in Journal entry on GRPO and AP Invoice in SAP B1 9.0 PL - 11
I am creating an independent AP Invoice, there are two issues:
    1. On line level G/L Account field is not open for selection
    2. I have then selected and updated the account on Form Settings. Same account gets updated on line level.
In Journal Entry selected G/L account on line level shall be hitted. But it does not put any effect on JE. Accounting is set by Warehouse. It picks up accounts from warehouse only.
    Need help its urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Invoice is Item Type.
G/L Accounts are set by Warehouse. But if explicitly we are want to change the account on line level in that case, it is not getting reflected in Journal entry. On AR Invoice same scenario works perfectly. On line level I can change the accounts explicitly and have the effect on Journal entries.
Issue seems to be on AP side only.
As required please find attached the screen shots.
JEwith mapped GL Account on Warehouse
JEwith different GL Account on line Level via Form Settings
    Thanks & Regards

  • Tolerance limits at Schedule line level in PO

    Hi
How to make tolerance limits at schedule line level in PO, (not at item level)
    Thanks
    Raju

    HI Raju,
In PO Delivery schedule qty tolerance is not possible.
PO delivery line itemwise tolerance only possible and also we have freezed tolerance in the line items.
Based on line item qty, We have delivery schedule given and not exceed line item qty.
    Hope, you are clear.

  • PO with hundreds of multiple account assignment lines on service line level

    Hi, experts,
I want to create a external service PO with multiple account assignment.
However, in the service line item level, when I click on the multiple account assignment, I could only enter 97 lines. But I need to create around 1000 account assignment lines for a single service line.
Is it possible to extend the no. of account assignment lines inside the service line level? May I know how to do so?
    Thanks & regards,
    James

    I'm facing a similar error.
What I think it's happening is that for technical reasons the program involved only delivers 99 line items... To make things worse, When you try to create an invoice for that full item you are going to get an error bc the invoice reserves line 99 for unplanned account assignments.
The suggestion from SAP is to create further items with 98 account assignment items or less.
Have a look at these notes: 486808, 651784

  • How to identify the Adjustment at the Invoice Level & Invoice line level

    Hi All,
We could notice that while applying the AR adjustments to the one invoice line ( line level), the Credit Memo is getting created with the one invoice line corresponding to the original invoice line.
When we are applying the adjustments on the Invoice header level, then the adjusted amount is geting prorated for all the Invoice lines. That is, if the Orignal Invoice is having 10 lines. Then the Credit Memo getting created is also having the same number of lines, with the amount getting prorated equally.
We need a way to identity(differentiate) the Credit Memos which are created by adjustment at the invoice line and Invoice line level
    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hello,
Have you tried to refer the ADJUSTMENT_TYPE column in AR_ADJUSTMENS_ALL, i think holds the level at which adjustment was done

Created query that retrieve Service Contract header and party data, but when I try to join to mtl_system_items_b, I am getting a product description instead of the name of the service. I also include code below this that pulls in the lines from the lines/account tab which captures line 1.1 and has the correct service name. Note this code does not have the header data and party data built into it, but I am willing to modify either piece of code to create the need join and get the data returned.

I guess you are looking for coverage name. You need to add two more table to join with items like as in
    select inventory_item_id,a.name,a.item_description from mtl_system_Items_b c,okc_k_lines_tl a,okc_k_lines_b b
    where organization_id=<organization_id>

    and a.id=b.id
    and b.chr_id=-1
    and coverage_schedule_id=b.id;

  • Converted Crystal Statement Report not showing line level data properly

    Hi all,
We have an issue with a Cystral-converted PLD Customer Statement layout behaving strangely when printing for a customer with multiple pages.
When the statements are printed for a customer that has line level data which fills about an A4 page, this print absolutely fine; customer header data, line data etc. However, when we print for a customer that has more lines that can fit onto the one page, Crystal does the following:
Page 1 - Customer Header info and column headers (OK); Line level info until bottom of page (OK)
Page 2 - Customer Header info and column headers (MISSING); Line level info (ONLY ONE LINE APPEARS INDIVIDUALLY ON THIS PAGE BUT IS THE NEXT LINE CONTINUING FROM FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE)
Page 3 - Customer Header info and column headers (OK); Line level info until bottom of page (OK - CONTINUING FROM THE INDIVIDUAL LINE FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE)
Page 4 - Customer Header info and column headers (MISSING); Line level info (ONLY ONE LINE APPEARS INDIVIDUALLY ON THIS PAGE BUT IS THE NEXT LINE CONTINUING FROM FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE)
    etc...
So what basically seems to be happening is that every other page, Crystal just sticks in an individual line on it's own without any headers or anything OR other lines.
Help please! Quite likely a 'Section Expert' issue but we don't know what setting could be causing this.

Sounds like the report is trying to print multiple pages with blank pages in between, is the normal report ie details fit onto an A4 page printing with a blank back page?
It will be page number resets and suppression of details on pagenumber = 2
YOu need to go to section expert and go through each section noting what conditions have been suppressed and if any formula boxes are red then open and see what they do.
Try turn conditions on and off and commenting out any formula conditiona and see what happens. By a process of elimination you should be able to work it out. However, you may have to stop the introduction of a blank page some how.

  • Manual override option for Unit selling price in Order line level.

    In OM R-12
Our client wants manual override option for Unit selling price in Order line level.
But there is no solution available to fulfill this requirment. To be able to manually override the price on a Sales Order line you
must have defined a manual modifier that qualifies for the Sales Order line in question. Without a suitable manual modifier the price cannot be changed.
    This is current standard functionality.
Anybody can give some suggestion/workaround to override selling price in Order header level without using the modifiers.
    regards,

    Hi Kashif,
I'm finding it little difficult to buy Oracle Support's feedback with regards to R12 functionality for direct List Price update without using any modifier (manual or whatever). After all it is Oracle's product and they should know better. But test results in Solution Beacon's Vision 12.0.6 instance (http://www.solutionbeacon.com/tools_r12vision.htm) and documentation updates in R12 (R12.0.4) OM user guide & implementation manuals potray a different picture.
After your last post, I did a test in Solution Beacon's Vision 12.0.6 instance with following details:
OM: List Price Override Privilege = "Unlimited Access" at user level
OM: Discounting Privileges = "None" at user level
No manual modifiers defined and Order status = "Entered"
I could display the "List Price" field from folder under Line Items >> Main tab, override the list price to a new value and save. The unit selling price showed the new value based on updated List Price as soon as I tabbed out of the list price field after overriding. After saving it showed the new selling price. _Please note that under Line Items >> Pricing tab there is another "List Price" field and that is not editable_. For such overrides "View Adjustments" (from Line >> Actions) will not show any adjustment details as it is a direct update of list price.
Also please note that, if "Enforce List Price" checkbox is selected for the order type, the list price cannot be overridden even if the profile option is set to "Unlimited Access".

+Note: Note: If any order line for an order has the Calculate Price Flag value equal to Partial Price or Freeze Price new order level adjustments will not be applied or allowed to be overridden. _The profile option OM: List Price Override  Privilege controls your ability to override the unit list price. If you have this profile set to Unlimited, you may modify the unit list price by editing the current value displayed_. The original list price is saved in a hidden folder field, so you can display it if necessary+.

_A new profile option, OM: List Price Override Privilege controls whether or not you can update the List Price_. It is enabled and updated at the application, responsibility and user level. It is not user visible and updatable. The values include+:
    - View Only: This is the default value. If set to this value, the current behavior is retained, which means unit list price field is protected.
    - Unlimited Privilege: If set to this value, you can override the unit list price field from the main tab and immediately see selling price adjusted accordingly.
    To use Override List Price:
+1. Navigate to the Sales Orders/Quick Sales Orders window.+
+2. Enter the header and line information, including the ordered item and quantity, then tab to the next field. The Selling Price and List Price display+.
+3. If the profile is set to Unlimited Privilege, you can enter a new list price in the List Price field. You can either proceed to the next line or save your work+.
+4. You can see the new, entered list price, and if there are automatic discounts applied, they will be based on the new list price+.
+5. If the folder has been modified to show the Original List Price, the original list price displays+.
+6. To change the List Price again, go to the list price field and enter a new value, replacing a previously entered value. If Audit Trail is enabled for List Price and a reason is required, a window appears to enter a reason and optional comments+.
Note: Subsequent overrides of the List Price, after the order line is saved, can be captured by Audit Trail, depending on the setup of Audit Trail (entered or booked state) and any processing constraints that have been set up.
In the OM Implementation Manual also there are notes related to this.

similar to OM ADMIN as shown below:

AFAIK then there is no way to do that system wide. You can only do that via userChrome.css or an extension like the Menu Editor per profile .You can install extensions globally, but the user will have to enable them anyway. That is not required for userChrome.css code.
