PSCD - Grants Management with CRM

HI all, I hope to get a reply to my questions regarding grants management in PSCD.
We are currently processing all payment from PSCD. payment data is fed by the feeder mainframe system. All BP and CA are created based certain criteria from the mainframe system. Our company has decided to implement CRM and to utilise grants management functionality. My question is what are the things I should be looking in for example.
1. creation of BP 2. creation of contract account etc. As already we have the config in place what are areas i should be lookin in for conflicts.
Please advise.
Rgds

Hi,
We have a PSCD system, as well as grants management handled by CRM.
However, I'm not sure exactly what your question is?
We use the PSCD system as the source of truth for BPs, contract accounts etc. So you can keep things the way they are. You just have to set up middleware (BDocs) to replicate these objects to CRM.
All payments are also handled in PSCD.
Does this answer your question?

  • Engagement Management  with CRM Projects

    Hi
I am trying to use Engagement Management with Project Controlling. CRM Project is configured to replicate to an R/3 project. All the roles, resource assignments are transferred to R/3 project.
However, in the process of engagement management, I could not plan my costs and revenues on the CRM Project. The planned costs and revenues are calculated only when the project data is transferred to R/3. I was wondering if there is any config, that I am missing, because I want to be able to plan my costs and revenue for the resources with in the CRM Project(in proposal phase) before the approval phase of project. I want to replicate CRM Project to R/3 only when the project is approved.
Please drop in your ideas and suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Rajesh.

  • Replication of a BP in CRM as a FI Vendor in ECC for Grants Management

    Hi,
We are implenting SAP CRM 7 with SAP ECC for Grants Management, integrated with FI AP (we're not using PSCD).
For BP replication we followed the next steps, however something looks it is incorrect because my BDOC still shows errors:
The middleware settings had been completed between the CRM and the ECC system.
    - Site, Suscription and replication from CRM to SAP ECC are in placed
-The next replication object are activated:
        -All Business Partners (MESG)   (BUPA_MAIN)
-All Busines Partner Relationships (MESG) (BUPA_REL)
        -All Business Transactions (MESG)
        -Grantor Program Management
Also we implemented the next steps:
    1) Define the number ranges for BP groupings in CRM: This number range would be internal in CRM and External in ECC.
CRM (IMG) -> Customer Relationship Management -> Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Basic Settings ->
    Number Ranges and Groupings
    2) Since the BP would be replicated as a BP in ECC we define the same number ranges in ECC too:
ERP (IMG) -> Customer Relationship Management -> Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Basic Settings ->
Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges
    3) Activate the post-processing framework: (Business processes CVI_02 and CVI_04 in Component AP-MD)
    ERP (IMG) -> Cross-Application Components -> General Application Functions ->Postprocessing Office -> Business Processes->
    Activate Creation of Postprocessing Orders
    4) Activate PPO Requests for Platform Objects in the Dialog:
ERP (IMG) -> Cross-Application Components -> Master Data Synchronization -> Synchronization Control -> Synchronization
Control -> Activate PPO Requests for Platform Objects in the Dialog

  • What is the Best way to connect CRM Case Management with EP-KM?

    Hi Gurus,
We will implement a Case Management in CRM 7.0 EHP2  and  EP 7.31 with  KM.
The Client needs Clasifications and Search of the documents in Case Management, the number of documents could be 1,000, 000 aprox...
    I thing are 2 options :
    1) The documents are stored in CRM Repositories, and KM access him, (I know this is posible using WebDAV repositories), but I do not know if this could affects in some way the process in Case Management. And if CRM repositories can store the huge volume of documents.
    2) The documents are stored in KM Repositories, and CRM access him.
         -¿Is this posible?.
-¿CRM can access the documents without problem?
-How can store the documents to KM on line from CRM Case Management?
    What is the best solution?.
    Please Help.

    Hello quinstar,
It sounds like you would like to use either your Personal HotSpot to AirPrint from your MacBook Pro or use an Airport to do so without internet access to the home. According to the following Featured Discussion you very well may be able to use AirPrint with Personal HotSpot:
HT4356 Can I use personal hotspot as wifi to connect printer?
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4007254
Also, the Airport products to not need an active internet connection to set up a home Wi-Fi connection so that is another option as well.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

what is the role of smartforms in crm is of particular interest to me since i m an abaper goin to CRM now..
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Ciro,
I agree with Michael, well that's from my experience.
What you need to do in CRM download Customizing Object
(tcode R3AC3) and download Business Object for
MATERIAL (tcode R3AC1). To start download use R3AS.
If you set the range of material you need to download
into CRM (in Business Object MATERIAL), you don't need
to run this steps everytime. It will happend automatically
I am not saying that downloading product from R/3 without
any problem. At first time, you will face that some
object need to be downloaded properly before you can
download Material (first download customizing object).
And you need to prepare Org Model in CRM also in order
to use these products in CRM transaction later.
These are basic steps need to be done (once) before
you can proceed to use it in any CRM document/transaction.
    Cheers,
    Gun.

  • Splitting on customer defined fields in Grants Management

    Hi All,
I am implementing a grants management solution where funds are drawn down from the sponsor using resource related billing based on payments.  As part of the reporting to the sponsor we are required to report information from the grants management ledger (payment documents) with information from a third party system which triggered the initial expenditure against the grant.  The join between the information is a reference number passed from the interfaced system.
My solution is to put the reference number in a customer field in the coding block and have updated the GM field movement to populate the field in GMIA.  I would like to put this field in the splittng rules in grants management so that for the reporting to sponsor can be a straight forward join on the interfaced system and the data from payments in GMIA (rather than splitting in the general ledger then joining GMIA, flex GL data and the interfaced system).
The fields which can be used in splitting in GM seem to be a predefined list.  I have traced this in debug and found a function module GM_SPLIT_T8G40_FIELDS which is defining the list of fields availale and translating the the field name.  Any field for which it cannot find a new field name in this function module is being deleted from the list of valid fields.  Therefore, customer fields are deleted from the available fields for splitting.
Can anyone suggest a way around this?
    Kind regards,
    Geoffrey

OK, it's something along the lines of:
    Vendor Invoice posted in GL:
    Entry view:
    CR Vendor                                         1000 GBP
    DR Expense/Customer field A              600 GBP
    DR Expense/Customer field B              400 GBP
GL View (splitting on customer field):
    CR Vendor/Customer field A                 600 GBP
    CR Vendor/Customer field B                 400 GBP
    DR Expense/Customer field A               600 GBP
    DR Expense/Customer field B               400 GBP
GM document (not possible to split on customer field)
Value type 54 CR Vendor                            1000 GBP
    Value type 99 DR Expense/Customer field A  600 GBP
    Value type 99 DR Expense/Customer field B  400 GBP
    Payment Posted:
    GL Entry Veiw
    DR Vendor            £1000
    CR Bank Clearing  £1000
General Ledger View (split on customer field)
    DR Vendor/Customer field A                 600 GBP
    DR Vendor/Customer field B                 400 GBP
    CR Bank Clearing/Customer field A       600 GBP
    CR Bank Clearing/Customer field B       400 GBP
GM Document (not possible to split on customer field)
Value Type 54 DR Vendor            £1000
Value Type 57 CR Bank Clearing  £1000
In GM, there is no link back to the values in the customer fields when the payment is made as the field movement from GL to GM is based on the line items and values in the the entry view and not the split general ledger view.  If  the split GL data were used to populate the GM tables, then the data would already be split by the customer field by the time it reaches GM, negating a need to split on the customer field once in GM.
It still feels, however, that the simplest solution would just be to have the GM ledger split by customer fields.  I have tried raising a customer message with SAP, but this query falls outside of their support remit.

  • Commitment item in purchase order in grant management

    Hi,
For Grants Management, please check these notes:
[1148553 - Additional attributes for derivation of time slices|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1148553]
[1485529 - Add Due Date for Timeslice Override BAdI|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1485529]
With these notes, you could determine the desired budget timeslice in GM depending on PO due date.

  • Using Import manager with XI

    Hi,
I am working with Import manager without any connection with XI. So, I have created by myself a XML file and a its corresponding XSD file, and I have put the XSD file into the console using XML Schemas Table.
Finally, I choose into the MDM Import manager the next options:
                         - Type: XML Schema.
                         - Client System: MDM.
                         - XML Schema: the XML Schema declared.
                         - File name: the XML file created.
The import manager imports the XML file correctly. But, my question is:
It's the same using XI? I mean, How works MDM Import manager using XI?
For instance, If I want to work with a CRM client system:
                            1. XI works with CRM and tranforms its IDocs to XML.
                            2. XI puts its XML file into any folder (than doesn't correspond with the ports declared into the MDM Console).
                            3. Finally, XML takes the XML file in to that folder (exactly in the same way that I did before)
                            4. MDM Import manager then imports the XML file into the repository.
Is that correct or the process is absolutely different using XI?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marta.

Each time you create a <b>Port</b> in the MDM Console directories are created on the server to hold data being exported and imported via the Import Server and the Syndication Server.  If you log into your server you can find these directories in a heirarchy similar to this:
    /opt/MDM/Distributions/ServerName/Repository/
So for example, a directory for one of your <b>Ports</b> may be:
    /opt/MDM/Distributions/MDM_ORA/Material/Inbound/ECC(clientsystem)/In_ECC(portname)/
In that directory you will find several folders.  One of which is the <b>Ready</b> folder. That is where the import server looks to find files to import.  You can change the settings for the Import Server in its .ini file.  This file is probably located in either your /opt/MDM folder or /opt/MDM/bin depending on how the installation was set up.  There you can set how frequently you want the import server to check that port directory.  If you are on unix you start the import server by navigating to the /opt/MDM/bin directory and running the command:
    ./mdis
Then check that it's running via command:
    ps -ef | grep mdis
If you are on a Windows server you simply have to right click -> start the service in <b>Services</b> panel.  Also make sure to check the /Exceptions folder in the port directory (same location as the Ready folder), because if the import fails, a file will show up there and lock the port from further use until that file is removed from the Exceptions folder.
    Good luck

  • RSS feed generation with CRM data

    Hi folks,
I got a question from my customer if RSS feed generation is possible with CRM data.
He thinks about a scenario where for example an Intranet user can subscribe a RSS feed that provides information if certain CRM data changed, eg. a new BusinessPartner was created or a certain relationship to a BusiessPartner changed.
Do you know if SAP (CRM) provides such RSS functionality (out-of-the-box)?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards,
    Bjoern

In CRM 7, every user can customize his own RSS feed.
You can find the settings in the WEBUI under personalize -> Feed
You can also find some additional customizing in the SPRO under
    ->Customer Relationship Management
    ->UI Framework
    ->UI Framework Definition

  • Membership management in CRM

    Dear all,
Could someone outline how membership of a member organisation might be managed in CRM.
    Creation / renewal of membership
Maintaining member privileges with relation to the type of membership they have for the period of that membership.
The only way I can think of is via a contract with a given validity period.
    thanks
    Tim

    Hi Tim
My company has built a solution template for this. Generally spoken you are on the same way that we chose. You could also go using standard orders, partner product ranges or marketing attributes and generate membership invoices from there - it makes not such a big difference, but using a sales order / contract is the most 'standard' way.

    hi
yeah u can achiecve this, just go inside the activity journal in the easy access, there you can maitain the template as and how you like
there you can write ur text and remembner before saving you got to release the same for the further use
and in similar way you can maintain another template with different text,

    Hi!
Anybody has any experience working with Workforce Management in CRM?
How to install/activate this component in CRM? There is limited documentation as to how to activate it.

If you maintain working hours of a employee, you wil be able to see it in the Resource planning. It would be visually depicted in the Resource planning. Non-working hours of a day would be greyed out.

  • Integration of SAP IS-U Two Contract Model with CRM 7.0 Contract Mgmt

    Hi,
We have 2-Contract model for all customers in SAP IS-U for distribution and supply services. We are also planning to implement CRM 7.0 Contract management and integrate with SAP IS-U. There is a talk in the air that CRM 7.0 Contract Management does not work with 2-Contract model in IS-U because of some POD replication issues in CRM and heard that some clients are currently facing this issue.
Our client is operating in Deregulated environment and we were planning to use Two contract model to separate the services.
Has anyone faced this issue in your projects or Is SAP working on this issue?
Please let me know if there are any workarounds where we can still use 2-contract model and integrate with CRM 7.0? Any help or inputs that can you can provide will be very helpful to us.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sachin

    DearSachin,
As per Design it's only possible to have one contract at the same time per PoD.
If you in a deregulation market it's recommended you to use the IDE integration in CRM.
Unfortunatly your desired business scenario can be achieved on project base only. There are several ideas how to provide the data and the information. One would be to download only the most used contract category into the CRM system (eiher grid usage or supply) and have the other contract only in IS-U (no replication). With a customer enhancement it would be possible do retrieve the whole supply sceanario within the IC webclient.
Another idea would be to attach a new customer based field to the contract which indicates if the contract is a grid usage or supply contract and have the check for double contracts respect that data - this solution is quite tricky and should be considered only by very experienced consultants.
Or use 1 installation with 1 contract for simple supply scenario. The schema contains a rate for both, distribution and default supply. The default supply can be switched with an installation fact. In CRM, there is 1 contract with 1 product. If a customer switches to a 3rd party supplier, an inbound message from the supplier creates a second installation with a supply contract and switches off the default supply rate. This installation/contract is not visible in CRM, it is not replicated to CRM.
As you can see, there are some ideas how to solve your needs on project base, but unfortunatly SAP generally will not change the main architecture which allows several contracts per PoD.
I hope this information is helpful for you.
    Regards
    Olivia
