PSCS4 activation 'issue' w/MAC PPC 10.4.11

Has anyone experienced this problem...
Proceeded through the PSCS4 Mac upgrade procedure. On completion, was prompted to register the product, to which I responded it would be done later. I was expecting an activation procedure to follow, but the installation dialog simply ended. I would have needed to activate over the phone due to a recent switch of ISP, leaving the Mac 'internet-less'.
All PSCS, Bridge and Camera Raw functions are OK, but how to activate? The PSCS help menu shows a 'deactivate' but not option to activate. Adobe tech support has been of no help thus far. Has anyone experience this problem and if so, what is the solution to getting the product activated? Thanks!

This was an important feature I am told that will save everyone headaches also if the activation gets messed up they will repair it for you on Adobe's end so you will never eve know something went wrong.
For instance if your hard drive crashes and you have to replace it and then reinstall the suites it will repair the activation without you knowing.

    Hello, I'm new to this forum.
    My goal here is to have two different Photoshop 11.0.2 installations on two different boot volumes of one and the same Power Mac (PPC) G5 Quad, one being a Tiger 10.4.11 system and the other one a Leopard 10.5.8 system, for the purpose of installing two different modalities of the same Epson Photo Stylus 2200 printer, one with the printer set to use the photo black ink cartridge for luster and glossy papers, and the other one using the matte blank ink.
    This is because I prefer to simply change the startup disk when switching inks rather than having to delete and re-add the necessary printers.  (This particular printer does not support ink cartridge switching under any version of Mac OS X.)
    Photoshop is currently only used on this one machine.  Obviously this intended scheme fits well within the EULA conditions.
    My three questions are:
    (a) whether there is any technical issue I have failed to consider,
    (b) whether each copy of Photoshop on the same machine will have to be activated separately (in other words, is the activation tied to the CPU or to the boot volume drive?), and
    (c) if the answer to the latter question is yes, whether this will count as one or two activations for purposes of later installing a single instance of the Photoshop 13.x ("CS6") upgrade on an Intel- MacBook, since obviously C6 will not run on my PPC Mac.  Again in sum, will I be able to continue to run Photoshop 11.0.2 on two different volumes of the same PPC machine and the Photoshop 13.x upgrade on the laptop?
    As further explanation, I would use Photoshop 13.x on the Mac-Intel laptop only in order to run ACR 7.x, but would keep my PPC G5 Quad as my photo editing and printing machine running Photoshop 11.0.2, since an upgrade of my desktop machine to a comparably powerful Mac Pro is simply not an option for both financial and technical reasons (the Classic environment is essential).
    Any and all input and guidance will be appreciated.

    I recently read an Apple Discussion regarding Magic Jack (VOIP)

    WHICH describe issues with Magic Jack and Mac PPC. In the Discussion it said that Apple was going to develop OS drivers(BD Aqua). Did that ever happen? I notice that Magic Jack still says that it is compatible with Mac and as I read on further it says " Intel only. Does Magic Jack work with a PPC, are there work arounds or are my efforts to get this product to work futile?

  • Different Mac (PPC) OS X install failure

    I seem to be having a different install failure for Flash
    Player 9 on a Mac (PPC) OS X.
    I tried all of the various solutions listed for other Player
    9 failures with no luck (permissions, uninstalls, etc...)
    When I run the installer it stalls out with 4 items left to
    install while trying to search the hard drive. I even left it
    running all night one night to see if it was just searching the
    drive slowly. The installer isn't crashing as I can stop the
    install by hitting the stop button.
    One thing of note, is that I've had a few times (not all
    times) when I cancel the install that the Flash Player will work in
    the browser (I'm using Safari 3.0), however when the browser is
    closed and reopened, Flash Player appears to not be installed. So,
    I'm assuming in the act of canceling the install, there is some
    form of a partial install that actually allows Flash Player to work
    temporarily.
    Anybody have ideas on this issue?

    Well after doing some additional playing, I discovered a fix.
    I opened FireFox and installed Flash Player from within
    Firefox instead of Safari.
    Safari began to work immediately. Solution has held even
    after restart.

    I just have a doubt that, if I configure the active and standby mac address in failover, does it will cause any downtime? 
    As I planning to configure the active and standby mac addresses in failover during production time and not wish that it will bring any downtime to me. 
    Besides that, just need some guideline that do I need to put all the interfaces' mac addresses in failover?

    Seem like set the failover MAC address was not working for me. 
    Last friday I was tested the failover MAC address.
    TEST 1
    1, Power off primary ASA and secondary ASA work as active.
    2, 2821 router able to learn the correct arp entries.
    TEST 2
    1, Power on primary ASA and failover from secondary to primary. 
    2, 2821 router able to learn the correct arp entries from ASA.
    3, Set failover MAC address, power off primary ASA and secondary ASA be active.
    4, 2821 router unable to learn the correct arp entries.
    TEST 3
    1, Removed failover MAC address from secondary ASA.
    2, 2821 router still unable to learn the correct arp entries from ASA.
    3, Power up primary ASA and secondary ASA still in active.
    4, 2821 router still unable to learn the correct arp entries from ASA.
    5, Reboot 2821 router and it able to learn the arp entries from ASA.
    I am not sure this issue from router or from the ASA. But I guess I will try to upgrade the router in term of software and hardware.

    Hi...
    I have started experiencing the notorious "scan to computer not working" issue on my 1-month OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus, after having used the feature a number of times flawlessly.
    There are a lot of potential solutions mentioned in dozens of relevant posts for both Mac and Windows, e.g.:
    "Failed to open a session on the device"...
    Scan to computer does not work...
    Problem scanning to computer with an 8600 wireless
    Unable to enable print to computer...
    Enable Scan to Computer - Communication Error
    Officejet Pro 8600 Utility does not show my Mac computer in scan settings
    A 'Connection Error' or 'No Computer Detected' Error Message Displays during Scanning
    HP Wireless All-in-One Printers - Communication Error between the Scanner and Your Computer...
    Etc.
    However, in my case, no solution works, after several frustrating hours of trying to fix the issue, in Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8), or after upgrading to Maverics (10.9).
    The behavior of the device points to a software issue, since:
    The printer is visible on the network
    The print function has been working fine
    The HP Scan function works
    The generic Scan function from System Preferences works (although in earlier times it did not, or it stopped working soon after invoking it)
    The "Scan to Computer" option does not appear in the HP Utility screen (although occasionally, after random sequences of unistalling and installing the software, it reappears)
    The HP Installer crashes before completing the installation (this is a latest symptom, apparently happening before unvoking the HP Setup Assistant, which still works fine)
    As already mentioned, I have tried all possible solutions, including software and firmware updates, Apple drivers, HP drivers (full featured software), clean (un)installations, followed by computer and printer restarts. Nothing seems to work.
    The "Scan to Computer" feature of the 8600 always works on my Windows 7 laptop, after initial configuration. 
    The next step will be returning the device for a refund, but before resorting to that, I am giving it a last chance, in (the unlikely) case there is something new I have not tried yet.

    Follow the first document and uninstall the software. Reboot the computer than download and install the linked software. This should resolve your issue.

  • Statistics technical content activation issue with MD process chain in BI7

    Let me give you history of the issue first.
    I had to activate the Statistics in BI7. I followed the SAP Note 965386 and activated the Technical Content.
    Faced activation issues in MD process chain, Content Master Data-0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01. It dint get activated, Followed the SAP note 1065919, which asked me to remove the below process from RSPC and activate it.
    Load data- Process Variant Attribute and
    Load data- Process Variant Text.
    I did the same and it got activated after removing them.
    Issue is. Later knew that manually activating the Process chain from Content would have activated those Infopackages aswell.
    Now how should I get those processes into the chain and activate? Based on your suggestions, I can let you know what all I have been trying to fix it?

    I have this issue solved. I replicated the data sources, activated those infoPackages manually and then added those variants into the process chain manually. So my MD chain now has all the necessary process.
    Now i need to schedule them and see if it runs with out any errors. I will keep this thread open till i run it to take your help if i get any errors while running them.

    Hello,
    We have created a number of Project Centre views to which we have added the "Active Risks" and "Active Issues" columns against projects. No matter how many active issues or risks a project has, these columns are always showing 0 for each
    and every project.
    The reminders web-part on the PWA home page, and the Issues and Risks page (/PWA/IssuesAndRisks.aspx) correctly show these counts for a user, but Project Centre does not show the values correctly for projects.
    We have not changed the values in the "Status" column of either list - they're still the default "(1) Active", "(2) Postponed" and "(3) Closed".
    All issues and risks are correctly promoted to the reporting database on publish or when a list item is added/updated/deleted etc.
    Our environment was upgraded from Project Server 2010 to Project Server 2013 and we're running service pack 1.
    If not now, when?

    There fields don't actually work, if you want to see the active risks or active issues per projects in a summary row, create a report from the Reporting schema in the Project Web App database.

Using Little Snitch network monitor I see it listed a few times per minute or so - from what I have read (Googled the IP after I first noticed it)... it's apparently connected to a print search of some sort - Is this a private IP address? and again, why could or should it be activating so often?
