Pulling the latest records from the datasource to BW
Hi,
I need to pull the most recent records from a custom table on R/3 side. I make use of infoset query to retrieve data from two different tables. One custom table and the other SAP table MAKT. I created a transaction data... Datasource make use of infoset to extract the data on R/3 side.
Is there a place where I can write code to play around with the data... is there any user exit to write the code for this purpose.
Need help...
Trx CMOD:
1. Enter the Project name; if you dont have an existing project and u have to create one.
Select a good name for a project..say ZBIW..and then enter the name and click on create button.It will take u to new screen.There give short text for project name.
Above u will see 'enhancement assignments' button.Click it and in the new screen add enhancement RSAP0001.
Save and remember to activate project too..
(save in appropriate transport request)
2. go to components select the required function module.
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 for Transactional DS
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 for Master DS

Latest record from database table
Hi all,
I am using select statement on a database table. The table contains records, and each one has an effective date.
effective dt record Rate
01/01/1800 R1 40
<b>01/01/2007 R1 30</b>
01/01/1800 R2 40
I want to select rates corresponding to R1 and R2. For R2, the rate is 40, but i need the rate 30 and not 40 for R1, because rate 30 has the most recent effective date. Please tell me if i can do this in the select query itself...

Getting latest record from time dependent data in DSO
Hi folks,
I have a standard DSO that is built on top off a time-dependent object. Users don't need the daily history and the last entry of the month will suffice so we are only going to have 1 record per month at the most for the object. The standard dso object key thus contains the infoobject key and Calendar month which is derived from the 'From Date' of the infoobject.
The users will running queries on this dso based on the Calendar month. So for the months, where record is available - it is a simple query. But get te data for the month where data is not available.
Example:
Key Month
123 Jan 2014
123 Jun 2014
So when the user runs the report for either of Feb/Mar/Apr/May 2014, the Jan 2014 record should show up.
For anything June 2014 onwards, the Jun 2014 record should show up.

now change happens in master data new data record created with the to date fixed to 31.12.9999 and old record to date less than the from value of new record.Correct!
Next load from master data to DSO.

123 Jun 2014 Dec 9999
So what happened in this case that based on the employee and To month as key first record will get overwritten and new record will be appended as well.
And rest you can handle at BEx level.

I need to create a query along the lines "SELECT the latest record FROM tblSales WHERE Color = 'White''
In this example, the record dated 1/3/2015 would be the result. I know that MAX(TransDate) is used here, but not sure how.

I had already tried that. It returns all 3 records having SKU = 123 and Color = White.
Worst case scenario is I can always search for White 123s using a query with TransDate DESC and then get the first record. I was just hoping for something a bit more elegant.

Loading the cube from 3 datasources and getting 3 records for each keyfield
Hi All,
I am loading an InfoCube from 3 separated datasources. These 3 datasources are UD Datasources and their unique source system is UD Connect.
Each of the datasource contains a unique key field 'Incident Number' (same as we use have in Datasources for DSO).
The problem is, when I am loading data with these 3 datasources to the cube, for each 'Incident number' there becomes 3 records.
We have reports on this Infocube and the report also displays 3 records for each incident number.
If I remove Incident Number key field from 2 of the Datasources, the data from these datasources do not reach to the Cube.
For many of you, this may be a minor problem ( or may not be a problem at all !!! ) , but as a New Joinee in SAP field, this has become a showstopper issue for me.
Please suggest.

The scenario is, I have 3 datasources form the same source system, All the 3 datasources have different fields except 'Incident Number'. So, each and every field has only one value in the report. But due to 3 separate datasources, it creates 3 records displahying values of each datasource in a separate record.
There is no field in the query output which is having different values for the different source systems. Due to 3 records in the cube, one record will contain the value for a particular field and the other two records will show a Blank for that field.

How to pull the job with the latest effective date in PSFT?

I am running the PSFT 9.1.1 connector workforcefullsync.
I ran into a problem when the user has multiple job records. Each time that the user job is updated, a new job record is created. So, when the data comes from PSFT, for a user, we have multiple jobs records with different effective date (For example <EFFDT IsChanged="Y">1996-10-21</EFFDT>). OIM is only interested in the latest EFFDT.
Question 1: is it something that we can set on the PeopleSoft side, so that only the job with the highest EFFDT is sent to OIM?
Question 1b: is this is not easy to accomplish from the PSFT side, can I use transformation in the connector to only pull the job record with the highest effective date?
Question 2: if the EFFDT shows a date in the future (HR wants to disable a person in the future), does OIM ignore this change until the sysdate is after that EFFDT date?

PS: workforcefullsync worked fine if the file contains only 1 job per employee. When the xml files contain multiple job records, I got the error:

When the PSFT team sends a message over to OIM to disable a user with today's date, the user got disabled fine in OIM. A reconciliation event is created.
When the PSFT team sends a message over to OIM to disable a user with a future date for EFFDT, let's say 3/31/2010, no reconciliation event was created.
Does OIM store this information somewhere so that it will process it later on?
It's a good thing that OIM does not disable the user who has an EFFDT in the future, but we don't want that record to be forgotten.

Master Child tables how to get the latest rows from both

Need some help with the sql. I have two tables Master & Child. In my Master table I have multiple rows for the same record and in the child table also multiple rows for the same master row how can I get the latest one's from both.
For example Data in my Master table looks like

Forms Builder - form not pulling the data from the DB into the datablock
I'm working on a school project, and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if something is wrong with my setup.
I created a basic form, 3 fields, and ID, firstname and lastname
the wizard connected fine, pulled the three fields into forms builder
I setup a canvas - type content with the a form format layout of the three fields.
saved the form.
When I run the form and it's displayed, nothing gets pulled into the fields (all blank).
Shouldn't it pull at least the first row from the table?
it says it's on record 1/1

I want to get this basic form working first, before I start adding to it, and it doesn't seem to want to cooperate.
I've done the same steps as in the tutorials....I did find that, if I put data in the ID, first and lastname on the form, and click Execute & Save on the Menu, it does add it to the database.
Maybe what I'm missing, is how do I get the form to read from the database when it starts up? -

Why is the file so large when I record from the microphone?
I am trying to write a program that will save incoming and outgoing voicestreams while playing them. I have been successful thus far but when I record the voice from the speaker(microphone) the file size is in the Megabyte size within a few seconds of recording! The incoming stream is more acceptable in size. I checked the files the incoming stream is 128kbps while the microphone recording is 1411kbps. I tried setting the restriction on the devicelist but that didnt work.. any ideas?
I am trying to record the outgoing voice stream when i speak into microphone to another person. I used mostly the AVTransmit 2 code to do that. The thing is i get "no processor exception" when I try to clone the data that i get from processor.getOutput. But if i were to clone the dataSource that is directly from the microphone before being processed then it works but with a much larger file size at 1120kbps. Im extracting the 'Notification' or 'Object Number' records from JCDS table. Each 'Notification' or 'Object Number' record contains the "Status" of "InProcess" , "Outstanding", "Completed" with thier corresponding dates.
My client wants the 'Notification' or 'Object Number' with latest 'Status' . How can i get like this one .
I have 'Notification' or 'Object Number' records with all the 'Status' in the first layer DSO. Now how can i get the lastest 'Status' of the 'Notification' or 'Object Number' records .
Please let me know

Thank you for checking u2013 I have found out where I was going wrong....I was using the wrong ID (RECORDID and CALLID are linking and in my group I was using a different one from my NthLength formula!!
So I have Formula:
LatestOrder [Formula Name]è
NthLargest (1, {Asgnmnt.ResolveOrder}, {Asgnmnt.CallID})
Order [Formula Name]è
If {Asgnmnt.ResolveOrder} = {@LatestOrder} then
true
else
false
Why do I not have an option to sort or select by formula field Order to only show True?
