Purchasing - Agreement on Buyer Work Center

Hi all,
I want to use the Create Agreements function in the Buyer Work Center in Purchasing module. I noticed that I can create the agreement line using three different methods such Catalog, Favorites and Upload. However, I need to use iProcurement responsibility in order to define those methods to be available. Do I need to purchase a separate product license for this? We don't have any plan to implement the iProcurement for the individual users in our procurement process. I need the iProcurement in order to make the Buyer Work Center to work only.
Any idea?

You can create agreements in BWC even without the iProcurement module.
Also note that, you will be able to create only the Global agreements in
BWC; therefore the child document will be standard purchase order and not
the releases.

  • How to see Planned Purchase Order in Buyer Work Center

    Hello,
I need to see Planned Purchase Order
(created in Purchasing Super User(responsibility) => Purchase Order -> Purchase Order , Type (Planned Purchase Order))
    in Buyer Work Centre.
I can see Standard Purchase Order in Buyer Work Center (under Orders Tab).
I can see Contract Purchase Agreement in Buyer Work Center (under Agreement Tab).
I can see Blanket Purchase Agreement in Buyer Work Center (under Agreement Tab).
But can not see Planned purchase Order in "Buyer Work Center".
Is this intentional ? If yes, then why.
if no, then where we can see Planned Purchase Order in HTML pages.

    Hi Gurus,
I am getting this error in BWC(Buyer Work Center) for PO's which can be updated by using Requistion Tab choosing update in document builder for existing PO's.
next sequel number is not populated in update document builder page for PO's. did any one faced this kind of problem. This is not happening with all of the user systems, only with few that's wierd.
    Navigation:
Purchasing Super User >> Buyer Work Center >> Requisition
Here selecting requisition number to be added/updated to existing PO's. once we do "Add To Order" update for PO in document builder.
Immediately throwing an error below, actually it should take next line to existing PO, its not happening.
*"You cannot combine this line with another line because the Item Numbers are different."*
What would be cause for this, I tried in Metalink oracle support to find something on this, But No luck.

    Hi Guru's,
In R12.1.3 Application - Purchasing Super User
I am looking for personalization of self service page in PO Buyer work center for Requisition update.
I wanted choice list/LOV Group by in Request header of Requisition self service page to be defaulted to "Requisition" instead "Default".
I didn't find option in self service personalization of this page. Can some body help me in this how to default it to requisition.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
You need to do it by profile option setup.
Setup the profile option "PO: Default Requisition Grouping" to "Requisition" at the site level.
You have two options - "Default" and "Requisition".
    Thanks,
    PS.

  • Buyer Work Center

We have below Business Requirement  on Buyer Work Center  ( R12.1.3)
    1.  View Price/Amounts in particular format e.g ( 1000,000.00)  on Orders Tab in  Buyer Work Center.
    2.  Allow only two decimal values to be displayed in the Price Column even though they may copy and paste a value that has more than two decimal values from a excel while Creating Complex PO in Buyer Work Center
Please suggest as how we can proceed to meet the above requirement.
    Regards
    Udit

    Dear Udit,
For the first requirement please refer to the Profile Option  ICX: Numeric characters and make sure XDO: Numeric Characheters is pointing to this profile option.
For Comma Separator of 1000's, you may need to enable Currency:Thousands Separator to 'yes'
Bounce oc4j (iAS/Apache) and clear cache, and then retest to confirm
For the Second requirement, you will have to personalize the OA page, please refer to guidelines as per note:
How To Restrict Entry Of Decimal Value For Fields Such As Price On Purchase Order (Doc ID 1376060.1)
Similar to the personalization done in the form, get an OA developer to do it for the BWC Pages.

  • Buyer Work Center performance and persoanlizations

    Hi All,
we are currently on R12.1.3 and we've few issues with the way the Buyer Work Center is working
    1) The performance of BWC is very slow. Navigating from one field to another field takes at least 5seconds. For fields like project, task, org etc the form takes 10seconds also. Combining all this, creating a PO with 10 lines takes about 10-15mins for our users. Is this normal? Are there ways to improve the performance?
    2) There are multiple screens to navgiate. First the users start off with header then to line summary and then to line details/schedules/distributions etc. Is there a simple way to make all information available in one single page so that the users do not have to spend time navigating from one screen to another screen? This will be really helpful for users creating POs with more than 10lines. I'm thinking of persoanlizing the PO line summary screen and make POET available there. Has anyone done any customizations to the PO line summary screen?
I'm sure you must have faced similar issues with your clients. Please let me know if you handled these issues.
    Thanks,

Actually most of the key fields from the header, lines, shipments and distributions are available at the distribution tab and you can add many more fields by clicking on the "Add Another" field. Moreover, you can save the final view for future reference so that you don't need to add the same fields again.
Yes, it is a workaround, as you will see repeated lines for multi shipment and distribution scenarios but single shipment - distribution scenario will be OK.

  • API or interface table to create releases for a blanket purchase agreement

    Hi
I need to know if Oracle provides a standard API or interface table to create releases for a blanket purchase agreement.
I tried using the release_num field in PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE, PO_LINES_INTERFACE. But this is not working.
I'm able to create the blanket purchase agreement using the open interfaces, but not the releases.
    Regards,
    Alister

    Hi Alister,
You can't create a release of a BPA through API, there is no such APIs provided by oracle.
Where as you can create a BPA by using API. You need to dump/poplulate data in PO_headers_interface & PO_Lines_intreface table.. Then use Purchasing Documents Open Interface API to create a BPA.

  • Query on Blanket Purchase Agreement--  Lines Agreement

    Hi friends,
I have a query on Blanket purchase agreement. When a minimum release amount is provided in the Terms >Agreement controls it is holding fine and taking that value perfectly for each release.
But when in the PO Lines, under the Agreement when i specify a Minimum relase,Quantity agreed and Amount agreed for a line, the system is not picking up the values mentioned here when i create a release.
Eg. Created a Blanket PO with a line.
For the line under the Agreement tab, specified the following values.
    Minimum release : 100.00
    Quantity agreed : 100
    Amount agreed : 10,000.00
1.When i created a release,it allowed me to create with the release amount of 20.00
    2. When i created one more release for a quantity of 500,it allowed me to go ahead.System didn't stop me or throw me any message like you are crossing the qty agreed.
How come these two cases 1 and 2 happen.
This is contradicting the agreement controls for the blanket PO line.
FYI: At the header level ,the minimum release amount are holding good and working fine.
Only at the PO Line ,the system is not taking the agreement values.
Any pointers in this regard would be great help.
    Regards,
    Bala.

    Hi All,
I have issue with Blanket Sales Agreement(BSA) in PDF format for approval.
NOTE: To Preview and Print from the Blanket Sales Agreement header, you can use the Action, Preview and Print or right mouse click to access Preview and Print, to Preview and Print from the Blanket Sales Agreement header. When a specific blanket is open, you can initiate preview of the formatted contract document. The document always displays in PDF format when previewed from the blanket sales agreement; you will not be required to choose a file output format.
    In our test instance,
I am not able Preview Blanket Sales Agreement and send it for approval through the Workflow Notification.
Requirement is customer should view the document.
Please, let me know the reason for not able to Preview the BSA.
    Many thanks.

  • User cannot view Blanket Purchase Agreements

is there a way to allow users to view Blanket Purchase Agreements in the View Purchase Order Summary without making them a buyer? I tried using securing attributes to give them access to the buyers req/pos and they can see standard POs....just not Blankets.

are you wanting them to update the information on the blanket PO's? If you are they will have to be a buyer. Alternatively create a custom form or a standard report to show this information.

  • Contract Purchase Agreements

    Hi,
we are working in oracle applications 11i.
we need help with the following inquiries regarding contract purchase agreements in Oracle Purchasing:
    1. how can we benefit most from Contract Purchase Agreements . what is it used for?
    2. are there any accounting/ financial setup ?
    3. summarized setup sequence, please.
    4. what are the interfaces or links to other purchase documents or modules ? we have Oracle Inventory, Oracle HRMS, General Ledger, Payables, cash Management, and Assets
Please note that we only use Standard Purchase Orders.
    thank you...
Edited by: AHS on Apr 14, 2011 12:38 PM

    Hi,
    Your questions :
*1. how can we benefit most from Contract Purchase Agreements . what is it used for?*
Ans : Contract Purchase Agreement (CPA) is basically an agreement of an organization with a Supplier. In CPA you can purchase from supplier but you don't mention what you are going to buy and when.
You create contract purchase agreements with your suppliers to agree on specific terms and conditions without indicating the goods and services that you will be purchasing. You can later issue standard purchase orders referencing your contracts, and you can encumber these purchase orders if you use encumbrance accounting.
*2. are there any accounting/ financial setup ?*
    Ans : No.
    *3. summarized setup sequence, please.*
Ans : The major setup will be the Document type : Contract Purchase Agreement.
*4. what are the interfaces or links to other purchase documents or modules ? we have Oracle Inventory, Oracle HRMS, General Ledger, Payables, cash Management, and Assets*
Ans : Request you to refer the user guide for details how Purchasing is linked to other modules.

  • Blanket Purchase Agreement.

    Hi All,
I want to create Blanket Purchase Agreement from Purchase Requisition directly like Standard Purchase Order. Is it possible? If possible, what is the way to create BPA?
    Pl. help.
    Thanks in advnace.
    Mano.

    Hi,
When creating BPAs please follow below steps..
    1) Create a BPA.. while approving it, in the Approval form you will see 2 tabs, Approval details & Additional options..
    2) Go to aditional Options, under automatic sourcing setup , Please enable "enable Automatic Sourcing" option , select Release generation method as "release using autocreate"
    3) Return to Approval details Tab and approve the PO.
    4) Create a Purchase Requisition using the item which you just included in the BPA.
Above steps will help you to convert your requistion to a BPA release automatically.
You need to check *"Workflow File Name: poxwfatc.wft"* as well. ( workflow setup)
    *1) Is Automatic Creation Allowed?*
AUTOCREATE_DOC Indicator (Y for Yes or N for No) of whether this workflow is initiated for all approved requisition lines.
Default value: N ......... set is as Y
    *2) Is Automatic Approval Allowed?*
AUTO_APPROVE_DOC Indicator of whether the purchase order approval workflow is initiated automatically after this workflow.
Default value: N ... set is as Y
*3) Should Workflow Create The Release?*
CONT_WF_FOR_AC_REL_GEN Indicator of whether this workflow creates, releases, or leaves them to the buyer to create using AutoCreate in Oracle Purchasing.
Default value: N ........... set is as Y
You can use below query to verify the WF setup...
    select rtrim(w.name) name,
    w.text_default Value,
    rtrim(w.item_type) item_type,
    'Is Automatic Approval Allowed?' Attribute
    from wf_item_attributes w
    where w.NAME = 'AUTO_APPROVE_DOC'
Hope this will help... Please let us know are you using i-Procurement?

  • Long-term planning: planning details of work center capacity

    Hi,
we need to know what is the effect on planned production orders (generated by MPS, transaction MD40) of the flag <b>&#8220;long-term planning&#8221;</b> in planning details of work center capacity (table name: RC68K; field name: KAPLPL). We made a test  analyzing planned orders scheduling details in <i>Stock requirements list</i> (MD04) and in the <i>Planning table</i> (CM21) in both cases: with "long-term planning" flag set and without this flag for the same work center.
The schedule of planned production order on that work center is the same in the two instance.

  • How do I create a new Work Center for the transaction launcher and links

    Hi
The requirement here is for me to find out if I can create a new Work Center that will contain up to 6 assignment blocks and each block having either links to websites and BW reports, or triggers to R/3 applications via the transaction launcher.
Can I do this purely through customising or do I need to create a new view using BSPs? If I can do it through customising please could I have a few pointers to what component I would need to use/copy?
    Regards
    Declan

    Hi Robert,
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
Just so I understand, if I want to show a work center I need to link it to a component / view? I think this was the original query - do I need a developer to create the view that contains the 6 blocks with their links to reports, transactions and websites? I think when I talk about blocks I mean 1 viewset containing 6 views. There is no SAP standard view that would suit my requirements is there? Even if the work center had 8 views, I can always hide the two views in configuration.
After the developer has created the view, I then reference that component in the target Id in the define logical links section of my work center.
If my understanding is right, then it follows that it is not possible to create a user specific work center without some development.
    Is this correct?
    Cheers
    Declan
