Purpose of =ALL

Hi,
Could someone please tell me the purpose of SQL operator ALL (>= ALL, =ALL, <> ALL).
Thanks,
Akila.

What is the purpose of the All Movies Folder contained in the finder?

  • Purpose of all these 6 (!) initial partitions on G700 notebook?

I had a look on all the partitions of my previously bought G700 notebook.
Surprisingly there are initially 6 (!) different partitions.
    See the following snapshot:
So want are the purposes of these partitions in detail?
I want to create another partition to install another, second Win7 or Win 8.1 WinOS
So I need hard disc space. Which of them can I delete/wipe/overwrite?
    Peter

Don't. It has to do with UEFI and not Windows or Lenovo. There is one partition that is the system recovery partition, but for the other 5 partitions take a look at this write-up.

  • "all on my mac" purpose in Address Book?

I still do not have my head around the changes w/r iCloud, MobileMe & Google syncing...
I have re-occuring iCal birthday dups coming from Address Book that I clear and that re-appear after a few days.
Anyone understand the purpose of "All on My Mac" in Address Book these days?  This category seems redundant?
If one's contacts are in iCloud, is there a reason to have any entries under "All on my Mac"?  This is where my iCal birthday dups are coming from - duplicate entries appearing under both iCloud and "AoMM"
On a related topic, I am not sure if syncing between Address Book and Google Contacts is done between Google and the "AoMM" contacts or the iCloud contacts or both.

You can't delete the All On My Mac as it is an automatic group to display all of the contacts that are stored "On My Mac." You can delete all of the contacts that are in the ON MY MAC section by selecting All ON My Mac and then selecting all contacts. Press delete and approve the deletion. Then, select each group under ON My Mac and delete those individually.
Then, Make sure iCloud is set as the default account in the General Address Book Preferences.

  • What is the purpose of the 1394 and USB jacks on the 30" Cinema?

I have a 30" Cinema display connect to my (current-model) Mini via the Thunderbolt port and an Apple Dual-DVI adapter.
The back of the display has a pair of USB jacks and a pair of Firewire jacks, and the adapter has cable connections to match. What is the purpose of all these connections? I can tell you right now, it seems that nothing is coming or going through any of these paths. The Cinema display is working just fine but these miscellaneous connections aren't live as far as I can tell.
What would be great is if the FW tail on the adapter could be used as a second FW port for the Mini. Can that be made to work? Is there some way to route a FW signal to the Displayport?
TIA for any thoughts on this matter.

If I have to connect one  Cinema FW port to the sole FW port on the Mac Mini, that doesn't gain me any additional ports--it consumes one of two ports and leaves me a net of one open port--the same quantity I started with.
The display's FireWire cable (not one of the ports on the back of the display) connects to the computer's FireWire port (via a FW400 to FW800 adapter).  This uses up one computer FireWire port, but the display has two FireWire ports, so you gain one port.
It's the same for USB.  You lose one port of the computer but get two on the display.
BTW, your response implied that the Thunderbolt port "contains" both USB and FW connectivity. Can I simply tap off the FW and feed my external FW hard drive directly from the Thunderbolt port?
Thunderbolt doesn't include USB and FireWire directly.  Instead it includes a version of PCI.  Apple is making some simple Thunderbolt to FireWire or Internet adapters, but they have only one Thunderbolt connection, so if you used one, there would be no place to connect your 30" display.  (The HDMI port is limited to 1920 x 1200, so cannot drive a 30" display at full resolution.)
Belkin is coming out with an adapter that you could use, but it is not cheap.

  • All Images in Finder

I am a new Mac user and total confused..
Just what is the purposed of All Images in the Finder...
When i open, stuff appears that i have never seen before..

    Some very weird stuff there??
    TIA!!

Thx for your reply, but i hv to asked " Just where is it useful "?
Well, I sort of answered that... it's my opinion that it isn't. But I'm sure someone out there is using it somehow.
By turning off, do you mean just unclicking the check mark in preferences?
Yup... in the Finder, choose Finder -> Preferences, click the Sidebar icon and uncheck All Images.
By doing this are you not still using hard drive space?
No... Those files are all already on your machine, and just because you've never seen them before doesn't mean they're wasting space or that you should get rid of them. Click on one of the images and look at the path shown at the bottom of the window... it will tell you where that image is found. You'll start to get an idea of where these things are all coming from.
My concern is, something going on with my computer ( when online) that I dont know about??
    No.

  • Change Ownership of all EUL objects

    Hello all,
Is there an easy way to manipulate my EUL(5) so that all Database objects (tables, views, packages, procedures etc.) refer to a different Schema owner. I do not want to manually update the EUL tables and have not found a straightforward and reliable way to change the ownership of all objects.
With other words I am looking for an easy way to transfer my existing EUL to a different schema with an identical structure as where the EUL is based on but a different schema owner.
I am aware that all custom folders have to be updated manually but that seems to be the least of my problems.
It would be great if any of you could shine their lights on this issue.
    Thanks for all assistance provided.
    With kind regards,
    Marc Willemsen

    Hi Rod,
Thanks for your fast reply. I was not aware that all folders could be highlighted and change the ownership in one go. That tip saves me a lot of work (Our schema contains around 1800 tables/views) We have already two BA's for admin purposes called "All Applicationname Tables" and "All Application Name Views" so I only need to highlight the folders in both these BA's and I'm done with all the simple folders. I assume the complex folders will inherent the ownership of the simple folders they refer to. Then it is only the packages, functions and editing the custom folders to be taken care of. That is something I can live with.
    Once again, thanks a lot.
    With kind regards,
    Marc Willemsen

  • Export all maps (mappings for all dimensions in EXCEL)

    Hi,
it shouldn't be an unknown issue - but unfortunately I can't find the way :-(

Below is updated code with the following changes :
    - Adjusted SaveAs logic to prevent Excel prompts in the event the file already exists, etc. (i.e. DisplayAlerts TRUE / FALSE)
    - Added Range creation logic for each worksheet page. If I really wanted perfect code, could do this better, but it gets the job done.

I added it successfully to the system certificate "store" via mmc & certmgr.

    Hi,
In my opinion, this is not Windows system problem. You need to make troubleshoot with the Certificate.
I made a research with this error message, the link below might be helpful:

I currently have "File blocked for promtional purposes" with all three CRAs. What is the general opinion regarding this? Am I missing out on any good offers that I could not otherwise locate by other means or should I leave it there.

You're not really missing out on much. If you like a credit card, apply for it--if you've got a good-looking report, you'll probably be approved. You might not get some introductory bonuses here and there but if you're not credit card-obsessed, it is not going to make a difference. What it will save you on is a ton of junk mail, however! Why would you even want strangers looking at your credit history willy-nilly? I permanently opted-out and I'm very happy with that decision.

  • A question viewing certifcate information via the padlock symbol in IE 11 (works on Chrome brower)

    Hello All
Can someone please help me with the following questions,
    J
    1:
I have a CA whose CA certificate has an Issuance (aka certificate) Policy.
Next I created a CSR for a WEBServer certificate, I created the CSR by first creating a .inf (request file) containing the usual including the following
    [RequestAttributes]
    CertificateTemplate=WebServer
    OID=1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1
    IssuancePolicy="My Certificate Policy"
    OID=1.3.6.1.4.145389.1.1.1
Turned the above into a CSR (base64 encoded) then submitted and retrieved the relevant certificate from the CA
If I open the certificate flat file the resultant certificate has the relevant Issuance Policy listed under the section
‘This certificate is intended for the following purposes’
    So all good so far
Next I install the certificate to the WEB Site and bind it etc. When I go the WEB Site e.g.
Https://TestSite the certificate works and the traffic is encrypted etc… e.g. click on the padlock in Internet Explorer provides the expected information, but when I click on View Certificate via this padlock symbol; in Internet
Explorer the certificate come up OK but under
‘This certificate is intended for the following purposes’
It does not show my issuance policy e.g. just the standard application policy for a WEBServer cert.
If I then look under the details/extensions tab of the certificate it does show certificate policy under the certificate policies extension, so looks OK from the extensions tab, but policy does not show up under ‘This certificate is intended for the following
purposes’ when certificate is viewed via padlock on IE but does show up if I open the certificate flat file (either original certificate file or copy to file then view certificate as a flat file).
The OID for the policy is registered in both active directory and local OID databases.
So the question is why do I not see the issuance policy when viewing cert via padlock in IE but does when viewing flat file.
    I am using IE 11.x
When doing the same thing from Chrome browser the certificate policy does show up OK, therefore is this a possible bug with IE 11.x
    Thanks All

    AAnotherUser__

    Hello Brian
    Thanks for the reply,
The OID is in the Issuing CA Certificate (online CA) e.g. was part of the CAPolicy.inf file when installing the Issuing CA. The OffLine Root and OffLine Policy CA have the All Issuance Policy set in their CA Certificates.
briefly as mentioned above when opening the cert (.cer) as a flat file by double clicking on it you can see the Issuance Policy listed as expected. When viewing the same cert via Internet Explorer (v11.x) PadLock > View Certificate it shows the Application
Policy, but not the Issuance Policy (e.g. in the general tab) but does show the Issuance Policy under Extensions Tab. If I use Chrome, click on the PadLock > View Certificate it does show the Issuance Policy (as it always does when opening the flat
    file).
Therefore was kind of wondering if a Bug in IE, when doing a CertUtil -f -urlfetch -verify Cert.Cer it passed all tests and shows it was validated against the Issuance Policy OK, therefore  perhaps bug in IE
No big deal, just wanted to know if any one else saw this or was another explanation
    Thank you

But now, when it is all done and almost ready to publish, they tell me that because there is no funding for the publishing from InDesign, I have to rebuild as an ebook in ibook Author to go on the bookshelf for the ipads. So, I say I can use my CC membership and we can use the company's developer license with Apple and there is no cost involved. No dice. And they are not receptive to using the Adobe Content Viewer b/c "it would be too hard for the customers to figure out". Is there a way for me to export the folio as SOMETHING - either as an app that is NOT going to go through the itunes store (b/c we don't want to distribute it - we just want it to sit on the ipad and be a resource in the center) or as a free single magazine or as an ebook that is not a boring epub? anything? PLEASE!?! I can't stomach starting over in ibook author and losing my DPS work and I don't get why there is no way to get the files for use - there has to be something I am missing or some format I don't know about. Thanks in advance!

The problem is, that if building and distributing apps without Apple's intervention would be possible, then everyone could start spreading apps all over the iOS world. Sounds great for developers with good and reasonable intentions, and for users with a healthy appetite for downloading (and paying for) their apps and its media.
However, there are also many developers and distributors who have different plans, less safe ones...
And Adobe prefers to maintain their form grip on the folio, at least for now and a long while, I guess. They could 'free' the folio file format and let publishers spread their own folio's (through websites, sharing services, even emails and memory sticks). And partners and third parties could develop viewe software (apps for mobile and desktop) to produce, distribute and view folio's. But Adobe chooses not to do so - not yet.
In fact, the same was true for the PDF format. In the early years Adobe prefered not to 'open up' the PDF format, so they could control and steer the format in ways they found necessary.
In conclusion: apart from HTML, there's actually no file format or technique that can be used for all purposes and all platforms. If any other such format will ever become available, is doubtful. But we'll see what happens with the folio. (It's already taking careful inroads to the web and desktop platform).
So what your managers and directors are looking for, is a Holy Grail they won't find. Hopefully they turn to you again to come up with better ideas.
