Hello,
If you are using UWL, it is easy to achieve this through the customization of the xml file.
Declare the type in the display attribute of a view as type radiobutton, this requires the actionRef.
The actionRef then specifies the action that the display attribute is linked to. Selection mode SINGLESELECT gives you a radio button so user can move the focus to one work item at a time - this is defined in the view section of the xml file.
Here you can see some sample code on how to achieve this through the Universal Worklist:

I have a Road Map form which is opened in a dialog box being displayed in a portal. Is there a way to get the "next/previous" buttons to display in the wave line area of the dialog box?
I know that i can put standard Yes, No and Cancel buttons in there, but how about custom user defined buttons?

Hi,
When you use these popups you can have only the standard buttons not the custom ones.
To have the custom ones, then you need to create a view and have the layout with your own buttons then
embed this view in other window inaddition to the existing window.
I mean have to views one in each window.
Call the 2nd window in 1st window as a popup. So that you can have you own buttons in that view that is embeded in 2nd window.
This way you can do.

Accept button instead of Install button when trying to reinstall iPhoto after Clean install

Hi All,
I recentely did a clean install for my Lion OS.
Everything works fine, except iPhoto was missing.
I opened the App Store app on the mac, and was able to successfully update GarageBand and iMove.
However, it didn't give me the option to update iPhoto as it did when I opened the mac out of the box.
I then went to the iPhoto page, and instead of "install" button I now have an "Accept" button.
When pressing on the accept button, I get the following error message:
"These apps have already been accepted.
"These apps were already assigned to your Apple ID and are available in your Purchases list."
iPhoto is neither present on the Purchases list nor in the update tab.
Will apprecaite suggestions.

I already have the 10.7.2 update. Doesn't help.
Also, the link you specifited is about downloading past purchases from iTunes Store, or the iPhone/iPad App store. I am trying to downloading iPhoto for the Mac from the Mac App Store (the App Store that is installed on the dock). I don't think it is the same stores.
After your suggestion though, just to be sure, I tried to seach iPhoto (for Lion) on the iTunes Store, but I don't think you can buy it there. It just give you iPhono/iPad results when searching for iPhoto, and I couldn't find iPhoto in any preveriously purchased list on itunes.
Any other suggestions?

Save button instead of print button in CS3

I suddenly have a Save button instead of a Print button in CS3. I think my Print Preset, Printer and PPD settings might have changed. I don't know why and don't remember what they were before.
My printer is an HP Laser Jet 1300 Series. It is a postscript laser printer. If I change the Printer setting to Microsoft XPS Document Writer, the Print button appears but it doesn't print. Instead it wants me to save the file as a .xps document.
I am using VMWare Fusion on a Mac so that I can still use my Windows version of CS3. It has worked until now. What have I done wrong? Can I fix this?

Steffan, I followed your advice to save the file as a PDF and print it in Adobe Acrobat. This worked, but I still would like to print directly from InDesign again.
You and Bob are both correct that I seem to be printing to postscript. I don't know why this happened or how to change the settings.
My options in Printer are Postscript, Adobe PDF, Microsoft XPSD Document Writer and Fax. My LaserJet 1300 printer is not listed. It is listed in PPD, however.
Do you know what options I should be choosing for Print Preset, Printer and PPD? Thank you.

Start Developing iOS Apps Today tutorial Edit button instead of Add button

In the Start Developing iOS Apps Today tutorial, I followed the instructions but after adding data (the final part), instead of seeing the + symbol, which should take me to the add item view, I saw the word edit, which took me to a screen where I could delete items.
The instructions say:

How to use mp3 files on a form standard button, instead of wav-files. Need to save space.

I would like to use mp3 files instead of Wav-files on the standard button, in the forms edit menu. I know it is possible in the interactive menu to add buttons with mp3 sound. But those buttons has not the same options and appearance as the forms buttons. We create learning books with lots of sound files in each PDF, so with wav-files the PDF gets quite heavy in Gb.

Smokerz – Thanks for the feedback. I managed to get iTunes to find the movie files on my TC by simply dragging the icons of the files on the TC into the Movies folder in iTunes. This immediately made them available for streaming on my Apple TV. Also, I learned with great relief that, despite their large size, dragging icons of my movie files into iTunes did not copy them to the C: drive on my desktop computer. Thus, it looks as if the job is pretty much done. Thanks again for your advice.

Deactivating Standard Buttons in Personnel Actions

Hi Friends,
I have a requirement that when a personnel action is executed then the various infotypes that are called based on infogroup must be saved by the user. In other words, the user should not be allowed to exit any infotype by pressing BACK button or NEXT RECORD button. For this we need to deactivate these standard buttons from the screens of Personnel Actions.
Can this requirement be fulfilled? Is there any way by which we can do the above?

We can't do it with standard configuration. I think we need to put abap code for doing it.
Earlier we tried doing it but ultimately taken that out as it really take away the flexibility of going fwd or stopping the transaction in between etc. We got lots of issues around it and finaly we kept it for Change management team to stress on maintaining the infotype.
Subsequent to it you can also keep some auditing report to monitor whether its maintained or not instead of keeping such code.

To prevent also any URL modification, we would like to hide the "address/navigation bar" and if possible the "menu bar (File/Edit/view/Favorites)"

Rather than hiding the bar - could use a Reverse Proxy. The SAP WEB Dispatcher can be used for this function.

In order to secure your SAP system you can put an SAP Webdispatcher (or application gateway like a reverse proxy) in the outer DMZ, which filters the incoming requests and forwards them to the corresponding application servers.

Providing image for Standard Buttons on Application Forms

I've seen some postings on changing the standard buttons used in forms. Does anyone know if this has changed at all in Release 2? I want to put my own image for a button instead of the standard gray button and before doing the workarounds recommended, I want to know if this has been addressed in the new release.

I have a 14.88G iPod Nano that I currently use as my primary watch. A week or so ago I started to experience a blank white screen when I press the "sleep/wake" button instead of the watch face (I have it set to wake from sleep to display the clock). When I hard reset it, it will come back fine and the screen will respond and work as normal, as soon as I manually put it to sleep by pressing the "sleep/wake" button and then try to wake it the same thing happens and I have a blank white screen that doesn't respond to touch gestures or anything.
What I have tried so far to no avail:
Numerous hard restarts (holding the "sleep/wake" button with the volume - button).
Tried this: iPod nano (6th generation): Hardware troubleshooting
Changed the watch face to display.
Recharged the device overnight (without full discharge).
Since none of this works I'm out of ideas. Eventhough I have a 6G Nano it should no longer be under warranty since I was sent it as a replacement for a different (older) product.
Any ideas? Is this a known problem? Thanks in advance for any insight any of you could provide. Also, what time is it??

I have the exact same problem as you have described. I also used my ipod as a watch but starting from today, whenever I unlock it the screen turns white until a reset is done. Even a factory reset through itunes didn't fix it.

Non-Standard Buttons in FLVPlayback skin

I posted this before but I don't think I explained it very
well. I'm trying to add a non-standard button to my FLVPlayback
skin, but it's not showing up. Can you add new buttons (with new
functionality) to FLVPlayback skins or can you only edit the
existing ones? This should be similar to adding a logo, does anyone
have a tutorial or anything on adding a logo to an FLVPlayback
skin?

Here Edit the bar at the bottom of the Skin FLA, and add what
you want to that... unlock all layers, select all, then resize, add
a layer and put what you want. Then when selecting a skin for your
FLVPlayback component, select Custom Skin, and target it.

Choose Layout button in ALV standard

Hi abap expert,
Is there any way to display a drop down list button for 'Choose Layout' which include the options (choose layout, change layout, save layout, manage layout) in just 1 button, instead of having the 'choose layout/change layout/save layout' in 3 different separated buttons. Is there any other FM besides 'REUSE_ALV_list_DISPLAY' I could use in order to display 1 combination button of 'Change Layout' while displaying the ALV report.

I'd tried to use the IS_VARIANT parameter as well by passing the gs_layout (type disvariant). In gs_layout, I'd assign sy-repid in the gs_layout-report. But the 3 button of layout still come out in separated buttons, is it because I'm using the FM 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY'? Is there any other standard FM I could use which have GUI Status with 1 combination 'Choose Layout' button?

On the View in Which the alv is displaying, go to methods, create a new method , type event handler, then select from drop down on standard_button_click. then put a debugger on the method and run the application. then after wards on click or select of any standard button on alv will trigger the method.from the parameters of the method you can check the button clicked and its properties.
