Qosmio X500 - New models with nVidia GTX 460/470M?

Hi,
It seems that all Qosmio laptops have sold out in the UK aprt from X500-P13. Are Toshiba planning to ship any Qosmio X500-134 to resellers or are they planning to produce new Qosmios with the NVIDIA GTX 460/470M?
Also, why are the Qosmios not available in shops?

I think nobody here can give a 100% answer because its user forum only.
At the moment Qosmio X500 will be delivered with GeForce GTS 250M or 360M graphic card, depending on the model.
So at the moment I cant find any information about new nVidia graphic cards on Toshiba website. So either it will be equipped with new cards or we must wait for a newer model.

Open Gl Issue with Nvidia GTX 460 & Photoshop cs5

open gl has become disabled and preferences window doesn't show the detected video. card cache level is set to 4. help>system info still shows the card and drivers but I can't use any of the open gl features. I have already downloaded installed the latest drivers so Im not so sure that that would be the problem.
I know my graphics card supports it because I was using the rotate tool on this same document yesterday. How ever when i started it up today It no longer worked. I haven't installed anything since I used the rotate tool last (except for the latest drivers for my nvideo geforce gtx 460 gfx card, how ever this was an attempt to fix the problem)
I tried running the 64 bit verision of Ps but the results were the same.

I made no system changes since the last time i ran photoshop.
I unplugged the wacom tablet for 5 minutes last night in order to install the drivers on another computer and when it was done i moved it back (Im fairly sure this couldn't have caused it but better to give all the info i guess...)
I would greatly apreciate any help you might be able to offer.

some one i know suggested that I try an older driver in case it was a bug with the latest one. I did so and once again It worked untill i closed photoshop. I closed and reopened the program to test it and sure enough when i reopened it all open gl functionality was gone once again. I don't believe nvidia drivers are the problem because i have tried 3 different version with the same results. each one works untill i close photoshop and the second time i open photoshop it quits working.
do any of you at adobe have any idea what might be causing this?

I made a thread, but it has not been approved by a moderator yet, so I will ask the question in here since the topic is relevant.
The GS Stealth in this topic is the same as the one MSI revealed at CES 2014.
But what is GS 70 Stealth and GS 70 Stealth Pro on the website?
And which one is the GS 70 Stealth that was released just a few days ago?
I am just confused as to the naming of this particular series.
I am looking for the GS Stealth that is the one in this topic above, but there seems to be so many versions of it and some are called 70.
Can someone explain what is what?

Is there any way to accelerate Compressor using OpenCL with NVIDIA GTX 285 or GT 120? Plans to do this?

Anyone who disagrees that AVCHD is the standard needs to consider the fact that they are totally wrong.

Hi, i have an nvidia gtx 460, installed nvidi drivers with pacman -S nvidia, blacklisted nouveau drivers
but graphic is recoginzed like vmware using Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 3.6, 256 bits).
How i can install nvidia drivers, for working fine?

Qosmio X500-11C - Overheating with new SSD

Hello guys i just got the new Qosmio x500-11c.
After I got i got my self a new SSD drive for it aswel for the C-drive+i got 8Gbit of ram for it aswell just to boost it up a bit. It do run ok but I got huge problems whit the GFX.
When I play WoW (world of warcraft) my FPS drops to around 18 in a 25man raid so I had to turn my GFX settings all the way down,and it get's very hot on the surface just under the screan (so I allmost cant tucts it). When I play Bad Company 2 I got the same problem it get so hot and the pc just crash, and I got to reboot it, to be able to play.
So I got on the internet and got my self a coolpad http://www.chill-innovation.com/products/products.php?kategori=9&products=28 to try and sort out the problem, but that dont help either. So I am vondering if any other got problemwhit this? I must say I simpley dont know what to do atm..

I never did try it whit the HHD that the laptop came whit.I put in the SSD drive as soon as i got the laptop the same whit the extra ram to get it to the max (8G).I do run whit the Driver from the Toshiba driver center.I did try and make a totaly new instalatin of Windows 7 and got all the new drivers from the download center but still the same..As you say it might be a hardware problem i will try and get in tucts whit the store that sold me it and see what they have to say,coz this cant be right.It should be a "gamer" laptop can't be right i can't play a game whit out it overheating..!

Qosmio X500 - freezing up with no apparent pattern

I have been getting feedback on this problem for about a month now. Thanks for all who have contributed especially Cee_64 from the USA forum.
My machine is continually freezing up with no apparent pattern.
I have so far eliminated nortons as a cause.
Also eliminated Office as a cause.
I have eliminated the Sleep settings as well.
Each time i have sent it back for repair they can not find any thing wrong. As this is the replacement machine for the first it seems uncanny that this is doing the same thing
Now It has been mentioned by (sorry can't remember who) That the USB modem may be at fault. I had the old optus one which the machine was freezing up so i got the new updated one from optus that is compatible with windows 7 but the same thing is happening. It was mentioned that the power for the modem may be draining the machine and freezing it. I have the machine set to supply full power to anything connected to it. but the problem persists If that contributor reads this please comment. Could the Modem be incompatible with the system
So feed back on machines that are not freezing/crashing and what internet acces you have and also feedback for people that are using usb modems and if theirs are crashing as well may be able to come up with a solution to this incredibily frustrating situation.

Hi, This is the first thread i have started in my life. I replyed to the others however the people that started them seem not to be looking at these anymore.
Anyway, The update is i got the new USB stick which say compatible with windows 7 on the box but in with which when used with the computer it (the computer) is still freezing up.
The USB MIdem But in its compatibility mode it is" windows XP with patch3". They tell me that i need to test it in another computer and if that works it is definately the computer.
I told them that i needed to test it in exactly the same model of computer for that to be acurate but they don't think so.????
OMG so i am back to the beggining. I think that my only option is to call toshiba and try to organise to take this modem down to the Gold Coast repair store and sit in there on one of theirs ( if they even have one) with this USB conected and see if it does the same thing ( I know it will).
I think that this is a serious fault whether by Optus or Toshiba to not inform purchasers. ie Either this modem will not work with Toishiba Qosmio Or that Toshiba Qosmio will not work with certain internet connections.
As this machine won't play Avatar and has a line down the bottom of display this seems to be another small but more painful fault than the others. If only the person who put the original thread in about the USB modem would reply that would be good..

Qosmio X500 - NEW BIOS update - 1.90

Found a new BIOS update 1.9 on the Australian Toshiba Website. This morning it was showing version 1.40, but now it says version 1.90. I will try it on my X500 when I get home tonight, see if it fixes the Sleep-wake up issue.

Hey danied...thanks for sharing this....yes I have a Qosmio x500-110 (win7 64 bit) and its been giving the Bluetooth disconnection/ finger print sensor/and webcam not initialised problem since the start.
Dont know what is causing this problem. I have tired installing all the drivers with no use. All the three get disconnected together. Also there was sum problem with my Bluetooth stack so I downloaded the latest on e from Toshiba website and the software works fine now but once it gets disconnected with the webcam u need to restart.
This problem is still there...

I have Premiere Pro and AE CS6.
My Mac got stolen, now i have to buy a new one.
I think about buying the new Macbook Pro Retina with Nvidia Geforce GT 750M 2GB Graphicscard.
I want hardware which works fine with both Premiere Pro, AE CS6 and the later versions! (Maybe i want to upgrade some time).
What is the best configuration on a MacBook Pro that i can work with CS6 and later versions as good as possible?
What is Mercury Playback Engine?
What's CUDA?
Can i use this GPU acceleration on the latest Macbook Pro with Nvidia GT 750M card in CS6, CC and CC14?

Considering the new 15"...( 13" is USELESS) ...Macbook Pro starts at over $2,500 with the necessary i7 CPU, ( forget i5).....you would be WAY better served to go with a powerful Windows gaming laptop for HALF that price from a company like Asus,or, others. If money is no object and you MUST go Apple, then, there are SOME pros and some cons.
1. Pro - has Thunderbolt, for hi-speed EXPENSIVE external storage, or, for Hi -res external monitor....however, MY 2 year old Asus laptop HAS a "thunderbolt" port , TOO...which I use to drive a hi-res monitor.
Con - though NVidia 750m 2GB GPU is adequate for much of the CUDA accelerated operations, newer Windows laptops have more advanced 800 and 900 series GPUs with far more video memory...for HALF the price !
2. Pro - PPro and AE runs best with Windows 8.1
Con - Mac operating system in the recent past has had issues and hiccups vs. Windows in running Premiere Pro....I'm not sure if all that has been fixed at this time.
3. Pro - newest mac book pro uses PCI SSD storage...amazing transfer speed of data !.....however, a 1TB flavor of this costs an additional $1,000
Con - not sure of the maximum amount of system memory that can be installed in MBOOK PRO..."Apple Chat" guy says 16GB.....you need at least 24 GB...better to have 32 GB for best operation. Also, some Windows gaming laptops offer internal RAID options for high speed storage ,or, at least two internal HDD bays for SSDs.
In addition : The "Mercury Playback Engine" is a feature of Premiere pro which allows for the "acceleration" of certain effects and operations on the timeline...in many cases eliminating the the need to "render previews" to see what you are doing. When coupled with a capable NVidia GPU, this acceleration can produce a TEN TIMES IMPROVEMENT in processing the effects,or, operations, ( like "scaling" and resolution conversions ) using the NVidia ONLY CUDA technology.
In summary, the 16GB memory limit , the lower level NVidia mobile GPU, and EXCRUCIATING HIGH PRICE all tip the scales for me to say : NOOOOOO !!!!!......DON'T DO IT !!!
IF a laptop is a MUST.....go with a Windows gaming rig and READ as much as you can first. If a desktop is a possible solution, you can get WAY better performance than a laptop...especially with today's Haswell E CPUs and the X99 motherboards.
I would wait a little bit for all the machines to hit the market which have the NEW " NVMe" PCI SSDs in them, or, build your own on a motherboard which will NATIVELY have that feature.

Do the new Macbooks announced today (10/14/2008) meet the minimum system requirements for running Final Cut Studio 2?

Lecturing? Really? Not hardly, but I'll answer your query as succinctly as possible.
Will the new Macbook run Final Cut Studio 2? I will wager that FCP will operate, DVD SP will operate and Soundtrack Pro will operate. I highly doubt Color will operate and am not sure about Motion due to the graphics card.
That should answer your question. To "lecture" some more, where will you have media stored and how will you get media, any sort of media into these applications?
As far as graphics and video are concerned, that distinction has been met above. I'm sure the Macbook will operate Photoshop with no problem.
But again, why not check the minimum tech specs for yourself?

Running a new model with data from another model

Hi,
I am very new to WD for Java and some help would be appreciated.
I've created 2 RFC's on SAP. the first returns a table of data, the second inputs this table and returns other data.
I have executed the first model on my WD, and displayed the data in a table on the view.
I have created the context and mapped it to the second model. However, I have no idea how to pass the data from the first RFC to the second.
Can anyone help please?

If the structure of the input node of the RFC 2 is the same as the output of the RFC 1 you can use WDServiceCopy to copy the element from RFC 1 output to input of RFC 2.
Or if the structures are different then you can code to copy the required attributes.
The execution procedure of RFC 2 is the same as RFC 1. Instantiate, bind , provide input parameters and execute the model. The values will be available in output node.

The beauty of Optimus is that switching occurs automatically. It is enabled by default, and automatically optimizes the choice of graphics processor, so you don't have to worry about managing the switchable graphics.
If you want to temporarily override Optimus' choice for an application, right click on the application and choose (assuming the context menu is enabled). You can set your choice permanently using the Nvidia Control Panel.

MSI NVIDIA GTX 460

I recently bought a new mobo MSI Z77A-GD80, (Windows 8) unfortunally my graphic card it is not recognised at all. I tried several times to install the drivers but nothing happens. I always got an error message that says access denied. Any help would be greatfully acceptted.
