Quantity field in CJI3-Special Requirement

Dear All,
Actually we have standard working projects.if required changes in our site suggested by RnD department we need to add changes in those project.
All these changes are trapped and controlled by one central organization.
So requirement is to capture all these costs occur in different projects, through central project .
In that cost control -central project they want only cost to be capture through FI entries. Their will not be any material assignment.
The ultimate purpose is to capture all cost line items in CJI3 Report.
So how can we capture the "Material Quantity"in CJI3 report, without assigning material in project.
Ask me if any clarification required.

Nits

Thanks a lot.

  • CJI3 report not displaying values correctly in the "Total Quantity" field

    Dear Friends,
Need your assistance on the issue explained below,
In our project there is a scenario where the actuals posted on a WBS are split/distributed to various WBS.These actuals that are split can be CATS entries, manual posting (KB21) or postings that come to R3 from a legacy system. The split happens by means of a custom program and is not standard. There is a tab seperated text file that contains the split percentages and the sender as well as the receiver WBS elements.Off late it has been observed that after the split is done the CJI3 report does not show the split quantities correctly and hence there is difference in the values displayed in the currency field. This is not a rounding off difference and is considerable. We have done all possible analysis from our side but i am unable to find how the difference occurs.
To add to this i have even come across certain notes which describe the issue closely but none of it has helped so far. I have simulated the scenario with the same settings in the Quality server and it seems to work fine there without any glitches. We have even compared the program in both the Quality as well as the Production servers and there is no difference in the program as well. The values for the total quantity field are stored in the table COVP and it has been observed the report is fetching this data to display in CJI3.
I have run CJEN too but this too does not correct the report. I was just wondering if any of our colleagues can provide me with some suggestions or insight in this issue.
    Regards,
    Gokul

    Hi Praveen,
    Thanks for the response.
Actually i did debug the program with the help of our technical guys but found nothing wrong in both the quality and the production system. We compared the program in both the systems and it seems to be same. I am exploring this issue. Will update the findings here.
In case anyone has any suggestion please do suggest.

  • Component Required Quantity Field Mandatory In PM order

    Dear All,
I want to make required quantity field as mandatory in PM order component tab.
    Plz help
    Rgards

    Dear Friends,
Requirement for not changing the qty arises in the situtaion like, suppose a person has created the maint order for certain qty,and released either by him or by his superior.there is a possibility that component quanity can be changed by the lower level people.(like supervisor or technicinan). In this case ,it can be controlled by authorisation .ie Dont give order change authorisation to those people,so that componenet quanity cannot be changed by anyone other than authorised people.
This problem i am facing in my every projcet, and handling thro roles and authorisation only rather than going for making the quantity field mandatory with some devellopment and alll.
    I hope it is clear.

  • Using conversion rule to convert quantity fields

    Hi!
I am trying to find a way to use a conversion rule to convert a quantity specified in one unit of measure to the corresponding quantity specified in a different unit of measure. I was trying to use 'Copy sender field' along with a custom 'Special conversion rule'. However, the code to convert quantities requires both the quantity and material number to do the UoM conversion. 'Copy sender field' only allows the transfer of one sender field. Is there a way to transfer two sender field into a 'Special conversion rule'.  Any help much appreciated and rewarded. Thanks, Duncan

    Hi Duncan,
    Try FM UNIT_CONVERSION_SIMPLE.

  • Validation of a quantity Field gives a run time dump

I have an upload file which provide me with a quantity input field which i needs to validate for non characters and special characters.
I have used a code which does a validation for the character or special character entry in the field but i am not able to check for '.' in the entry.
the problem is if the user by mistake enters two decimal point which should only be one; the program goes for a dump.
the below given code is what i have used for validation of the quantity field.
      IF NOT wa_final-actual_quan IS INITIAL.
        MOVE wa_final-actual_quan TO l_fld_quantity.
        TRANSLATE l_fld_quantity TO UPPER CASE.

                          l_fld_quantity CA '!~@#$%^&*"?><`|}{[]()+-='.

          v_flag1 = c_x.
        ELSE.
          CLEAR: l_fld_quantity1,l_fld_quantity2.
          SPLIT l_fld_quantity AT '.' INTO
                                      l_fld_quantity1 l_fld_quantity2.
          CONDENSE l_fld_quantity1.
          l_len = strlen( l_fld_quantity1 ) .
          IF l_len LE 10.
            IF NOT l_fld_quantity2 IS INITIAL.
              l_len1 = strlen( l_fld_quantity2 ).
              IF l_len1 LT 2.
              CONCATENATE l_fld_quantity2 '0' INTO l_fld_quantity2.
              ENDIF.
              CONCATENATE l_fld_quantity1 '.'  l_fld_quantity2(2)
                                          INTO l_fld_quantity3.
              CONDENSE l_fld_quantity3.
            ELSE.
              CONCATENATE l_fld_quantity1 '.' '00'
                                          INTO l_fld_quantity3.
            ENDIF.
            wa_zphyin-acqty = l_fld_quantity3.
the requirement is that if the user enters the input for quantity it should only accept one decimal place in the field and if by mistake he enters 2 decimal points it should give an error stating :- invalid input for quantity.
experts please guide as to how i can overcome the problem.

  • Quantity fields not getting displayed in the second total row

    Hi,
As per the requirement I have to display 2 total rows for an ALV report using CL_GUI_ALV_GRID. I am able to get the first total row properly using method get_subtotal(). However for the next total row only the character fields are getting displayed and the quantity fields are coming blank.
The second total row will have different values based on a formula.
Please help me out in resolving the issue.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

You can provide first row as the SUBTOTAL and next row as the TOTAL.
Get one extra column on which you can do the SUBTOTAL.

  • How to make quantity field in puplic templates editable?

    Hi SDN,
    we are implementing SRM 5.0.
We have a change request to make the quantity field in public templates  (or when you chose approved (old) shopping carts for a new order) ready for input.
What I tried so far is to go to the corresponding template, which is
    SAPLBBP_PDH_SEARCH 4001 and exchange
    `SUBLIST-QUANTITY[n].value`
    by
    <input type="text" name="SUBLIST-QUANTITY[n]" value="`SUBLIST-QUANTITY[n].value`">
Debugging the corresponding dynpro 4001 of function group BBP_PDH_SEARCH
    PAI: MODULE mark_read_from_web.
    there:
    LOOP AT <sublist> INTO <lfs_sub_wa>.
shows, that the new quantity I might set on the webfrontend does not get transferred to <sublist>-quantity in the dynpro.
Even though in the debugger I manually changed the incoming quantity, it does not show up on the next webscreen with the shopping cart...
    any ideas welcome,
    regards, matthias

    Hi Atul,
the need for the requirement is very obvious, also we had this modification in the old release - and I am merely trying to rebuild it.
But for the business case: Just imagine you have 100 or more articles in a public template and maybe you have to chose new articles from different public templates. Then it is really painful if you have to recheck the shopping cart after you have filled it, just to change the quantities. This modification saves a lot of time and work for the users. Also I am wondering why it is not already standard behaviour.

  • Quantity field not getting update in PCA document for Goods Receipt

We have the Purchase Account activated for our company code.
For movement type 101 (Goods Receipt), I am getting the quantity field updated for GR/IR account and Stock Account (B/S item).
But the quantity field is not getting updated for the "Purchase Account" and the "other offsetting PL A/C).
Please advice whether I am missing something.
    Regards
    B.Mohanty

    Hi Aravind,
Check SAP notes  1063198 and 1117587.
FAGLL03 display quantity which is updated in FAGLFLEXA, BSEG is not
relevant in this case. This is clearly explained in the note 1063198.
The quantity posts through to FI on the 'goods receipt' items, but not on the
    'invoice receipt' items.
In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
is more related to the MM area.
But in the old 'Profit Center Accounting' and the old' Special Ledger'
    the field has been important.
As the same logic of these areas to 'store' the Quantity is also used
in the NewG/L the field get only filled in the line, where it make
'sense' from our point of view, because only in the 'goods receipt'
lines a 'real' Quantity is posted to the system.
So as before in the PCA and SL, now also in the NewG/L the Quantity is
filled in the correct and important lines and postings.
In the BSEG ('old document segment table') the field is filled 'just'
as it is send to the FI, but this is not completely correct from the
    business point of view.
This can also lead to issues with the reporting and summation to this
field. So with creating the new logic in the NewG/L the 'correct'
standard of the 'writing' for the Quantity has also been taken over.
So in the end, the update and display is correct according  SAP standard behavior.
Actually,Quantities within G/L are never reliable,
because the purpose of FI is a view on the data according to amount
    but not according to quantity.
In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
is more related to the MM area.
I hope I could be of assistance.
    Regards,
    Fernando

  • Best practice for "Quantity" field in Asset Master

    Hi
I want to know what is the best practice for "Quantity field" in asset master. It should be made displayed only or required field in Asset Master creation.
Initially I made this field as required entry. So user entered 1 quantity. At the time of posting F-90, he again entered quantity. So my quantity in asset master got increased. Hence i decided to make that field display only in asset master creation.
Now i made that field as display only in asset master creation. At the time of posting F-90, that quantity field is not coming only. I check my field status group for posting key as well as GL account. Its optional field. Inspite of that user is able to make entry in F-90. Now quantity field is '0' only in asset master even though there is some value in asset.
Please help what is the best practice wrt quantity field. Should be open in asset master or it should be display only.

    Hi:
SAP Standard does not recommend you to update quantity field in asset master data.  Just leave the Qty Field Blank , just mention the Unit of Measure as EA. While you post acquisition through F-90 or MIGO this field will get updated in Asset master data automatically. Hope this will help you.

  • I need to make the ordered quantity field (RV45A-KWMENG) disabled in 'VA02'

    Hi SAP COMMUNITY,
I have urgent requirement for which i did'nt worked before on this requirement. I hope you people can help me in this regerd.
My requirement is, I need to make the ordered quantity field (RV45A-KWMENG) disabled in the transaction code is VA01/VA02. User should not be able to edit this ordered quantity in VA01/VA02 Transaction.
Here the condition to disable this field ordered quantity is IF ORDER TYPE EQUAL TO OR AND IF ITEM CATEGORY EQUAL TO TANN in technical IF VBAK-AUART EQ OR AND IF VBAP-PSTYV EQ TANN then only the field (RV45A-KWMENG) ordered quantity should be disabled in that transaction VA01/VA02.
Correct me if iam wrong, I think in the program SAPMV45A and do we need to include any screen number which i have seen in VA02 is 4001. Do we need to write a code in Include MV45AFZZ (FORM USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION.). But i don't know what code i need to write here to disable this field.
I had searched in the forum some example code so please suggest me whether i can use this and if i can use this please suggest me how to write the condition and insert the code in that FORM. If this sample code is wrong then please suggest me what exact code should be given. Can anyone help. Quick response will be much appreciated.
Looking forward for ur prompt replies.

As per my understanding , To disable the field RV45A-KWMENG based on the condition for Transaction VA01/VA02.
The conditions which i need to check is Order Type and item category.
I understand that this is the code which i need to insert for disabling the field but i have a question here, where is the condition here and how the system understand for this field RV45A-KWMENG it has to disable. I think we need give the condition as if RV45A-KWMENG....... Another one if iam not wrong we need check that it has to be done in VA01 and VA02 then only this condition should be executed.
IF VBAK-AUART EQ 'XXX' OR VBAP-PSTYV EQ TANN .
    IF SCREEN-NAME = 'XXX'.
    SCREEN-ACTIVE = 0
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
Please suggest me the better way how can i do it in the coding.
    Awaiting for ur prompt reply.

  • Order quantity field in the item overview tab of a sales order

    Hi,
I would like to make the order quantity field inactive, i.e., the field should be greyed out, when i enter the transaction VA01.
Is there any way this can be done through functional configuration?
    Cheers,
    MR

    Unfortunately, it doesn't.
The requirement was to adapt transaction's layout in order to disable editing (e.g. turning it to grey, disactivating the field) for a particular field. This kind of job should be done dinamically as it interests only some kind of Purchase Requisitions (whose attributes should be checked "runtime").
I found a good user exit which is executed every time a PR is loaded from Enjoy transactions ME51N/ME52N/ME53N in which i can easily check if prerequisites for the "locked field" exist... but there's no visibility over the right SCREEN in that user exit (and also, I tried, in ANY of the std userexit) so I don't know how to tell the transaction "hey, for this order turn the EPSTP (=pstyp in EBAN) grey since it must be not-modifiable".
Can't get at the same time Field Exit to work on this system (46C)

  • Remove trailing zeroes in quantity field.

    Hi all,
I am having quantity field in ALV grid display : VBAP-KWMENG. Iam getting quantity value as 1,000.My requirement is to get quantity value as 1.(without ',' and zeroes).
    Suggest me a suitable solution.
    Thanks all.

Other way is check for the below code ..
    DATA:
      lv_decimal TYPE f DECIMALS 3,
      lv_string  TYPE string.
    lv_decimal = '22.010'.
    WRITE lv_decimal TO lv_string.
SHIFT lv_string RIGHT DELETING TRAILING '0'.
    * also delete trailing '.', if possible
    SHIFT lv_string RIGHT DELETING TRAILING'.'.
    CONDENSE lv_string NO-GAPS.
    * now no trailing zeros are in the decimal stored in LV_STRING

    Hi,
    You could try like this,
parameter: p_period type (your period field).
    data: len type i,
             var type string.
    len = p_period + 1.
    concatenate 'MEG' len into var.
    select single ( var )
    from COSP
    into temp

if the requirment is like printing decimals.
Then declare one variable of type pack decimal.
    data : w_var type p decimal 3.
    Move vbrp-fkimg to w_var.
