  • Changing mapping values of car model

    Hi,
We have a scenario to change the mapping of the car models in infotype 0017. The present scenario is as follows
<=1400 cc the valid value is 2 (PA0017- KZPMF).
I need to change the configuration as <= 1600cc .
I tried in table V_T5GC2, but it is for adding a new car model.
    Where to configure this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Aravind

    Hello Aravind
The vehicle types are maintained in T706E and the vehicle classes are maintained in T706W so it is here you need to ammend the entry for engine size.
If you can choose a specific combination of vehicle type and vehicle classe ONLY depends on table T706F: if you
have maintained a reimbursment rate for the specific chosen combination.
    Hope this helps!
    Kind regards

  • IPod Car Integration -- What car models actually work?

I am considering purchasing new auto and iPod Integration for me is a "deal-breaker". By Integration what I am primarily looking for is direct audio connection for playback, dash controls for play/pause, skip forward/back, with dash display of current music selection data (e.g. LCD Display). Apple used to publish a list of available automakers/models, but I can't now find it on their website. What actual experience have users had - what actually works?

  • Gingerbread update - Bluetooth no longer working in car

I have seen people complaining about this issue on other forums - lots of phone models and car models are affected.  My bluetooth was wworking perfectly for hands-free calling prior to the Gingerbread update.  Bluetooth stopped working the day I received my Gingerbread update last week.  I've tried everything I can try.  Apparently there is no resolution to the issue yet.  Verizon tech support could not help - they told me to contact HTC.  HTC tech support had no clue.  I want to revert back to Froyo, but apparently that's not possible either.  I am VERY frustrated.  I loved Android, but bluetooth in my car is a very important feature for me.  Might be time for an iPhone...
If anyone has any solutions for this issue, please let me know.  By the way, I have read in other forums that a factory reset does not work - it keeps the same phone software.  It's something that changed in Gingerbread that is causing the problem.  I would love to get rid of Gingerbread.

    Smitty,
I don't have Gingerbread (yet, and I'm thinking that's a good thing at this point), but I've had the same problem with my DInc before with my 7 week old new car.  After an initial successful link-up and upload of my phone book, my phone wouldn't maintain a connection either.
Here's my suggestion for you, because It's my current work around to get my bluetooth connection to work:
    1) Unpair your car bluetooth and your phone so you can start from scratch
    2) Re-pair your DInc and your car
    3) When your phone connects to your car, you'll hopefully get a pop-up dialogue box on your phone asking to link to your phone book.  At this point, say no to the phone book link.  You *should* hopefully have a good bluetooth connection now, and you'll still have the ability to dial from your phone book.  If you don't get the pop-up, well...I'm out of ideas.  Sorry.
I don't know what capability that pop-up dialogue box on the phone supports, but it sure screws up my bluetooth connection in my car.

  • How to know a model member's index ?

I have imported a 3D model from google sketch up. I want to know the index of each model component. For. e.g if i import a car model from sketch up i want to know which index is the wheel. Below is the lingo code. I want to use this index in step a (of code given below) to create individual member animation.
property p3Dmember  -- reference to 3D cast member
property pCharacter -- reference to the character in the 3D world
                     -on beginSprite me
-- initiate properties and 3D world
                   p3Dmember = sprite(me.spriteNum).member
                    p3Dmember.resetWorld()
    step a:     pCharacter = p3Dmember.model[31]
I would appreciate your time and help for solving this issue.
    Thanks.

    Hi kasipicola,
When you created the 3dMember in sketchup, did you assigned a name to the models?. I know sketchup is not the same as 3dsmax but when I wanted to reference a model created in 3dsmax I just simply called by its name like:
    pCharacter = p3Dmember.model("main_character")
When you have the model reference, you can get its index in the model list by using the GetOne() method
    The_index= getone(p3Dmember.model, pCharacter)

For each of our custom tracks, you will be required to play the track in Time Trial Mode, and post a screenshot of your best lap time. We will organise challengers into a leaderboard over the course of the week the track is running, so you can keep an eye on your competitors' times. Please note that you can submit a screenshot/time as many times as you like, as we will only take into account your best time.
The elements we will be looking at are in red. Please note that we expect this specific type of screenshot, and other screenshots may be disregarded. Please also note that we will be looking at the "Lap" time, not the "Best Lap", as we want to see who does best within the time awarded.
Taking a Screenshot with your PS4:
After you have passed the finish line and you are satisfied with your lap time, press the options button to display your scoreboard, as in the example below. Then, press the 'Share' button on your Dualshock 4 controller, and upload the screenshot to social media or download it onto a USB stick. After retrieving the screenshot, post it on the forum and we'll add your name to the leaderboard!

Section 7 of the "Specific Rules for “International Project CARS Challenge” Competition" states that "Each Entrant may only submit one (1) entry per Weekly Track and will only be eligible to win one (1) Prize per Weekly Track (as defined below)"
Can you confirm which is correct?
Also, there will be tracks where passing over the white line (deemed the 'track') will not invalidate lap times. As there is no way to verify whether one has abused the track 'limits', can we assume the laps submitted are correct as far as the game sees it?
I have set a very competitve time but do not want to comment without confirmation of my first point above.
You can post as many attempts as you wish. Only 1 of those (You're fastest) will count as the 1 valid entry.
There is no way to tell if a driver has exceeded track limits, without a video. Which isn't required in the stated competition rules. Therefore, what the game deems the track, will count as as a valid time.

  • How do I sync my iphone phone to my new car

please let me know, the dealership says it will only show first few contacts in phonebook.............

How it is done (and whether it can be done) depends on the car model, year, and options. I have one that doesn't support any syncing of contacts from an iPhone and one where it happens automatically as soon as I paired the phone with the car. You may find someone here that can help if you give the car model and year but may also find some help in a forum for that car or by doing a general internet search using the car make, model, and the word iPhone.

  • Bluetooth conection to car phone

Hi last week i bought a new car and paired the z10 to the phone no problem i then had a update notice on my phone i downloaded the update but my phone will not ring or take call throught the phone how do i get rid of the update as nissan say the car phone is fine its the phone . help

Sometimes unfortunately the auto company people don't know a lot about BlueTooth devices and how to set them up. So, you may need to dig further.
Before you go back to them, check if your Bluetooth is turned on. Swipe down from the top edge of the screen. There is a Bluetooth icon in the top right of the icons which come down. Is it blue or white? If it's white, then it's turned off and you just need to touch that icon to turn Bluetooth on.
Dig deeper by pressing on the word BlueTooth. Does it show that your car's bluetooth is paired. It should show the name of the car's bluetooth (I don't know if it will appear as your car model but that's determine by your car's system.) If it's grey then it's just not connected. It should however say "Paired" on the right side. If it's not paired or doesn't appear, then you just need to pair it again with the Bluetooth on your car.
The BlueTooth section of your Z10 manual is at http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/47561/mes1334609105805.jsp
You may need your Nissan manual for the vehicle also to setup pairing.

  • Using ipod classic in car

Does anyone know if there is anything I can buy so that I can play my ipod in the car if my car stereo does not have an AUX? I am in the UK.
    Thanks.

It depends what stereo is installed in your car. For a few years now factory fitted stereos (that came with the car when new) have had a socket on the back which can sometimes be utilised for iPods. In other cases, replacement (aftermarket) stereos quite often have some sort of socket on the back. In both cases, it may not be obvious that the socket is there and it may not be marked as Aux.
So, is your stereo the original one fitted to the car and if so, which car & model and what year is the car, or is the stereo a replacement? If a replacement, what make is the stereo and how approximately old is it?
For instance, I have a Mazda 3 with factory fitted stereo. I had a Dension Gateway 100 fitted to the car which gives me dock a connection for the iPod into the car's stereo and I can control track access from the steering wheel, although I do not get the titles on my car's display. Have a look in Halfords (in the UK) and you will see iPod connectors for aftermarket stereos.
The best thing to do is consult a "car stereo dealer" who should be able to help by identifying what your existing stereo can do.

  • Car compatibility with 2015 Mazda 6

I have recently purchased a 2015 Mazda 6 Grand Touring and am very pleased with the vehicle. However, it was not until I attempted to set up the messaging feature that I realized my iPhone 5 is not compatible. It will play bluetooth music and will make and receive phone calls via bluetooth, but the car was advertised to me as having a feature that read text messages/email to me and would allow me to respond verbally (a big selling point for safety and practicality). I then checked the phone compatibility guide and iPhone 5 on iOS7 is not compatible. Does anyone know if iOS8 or iPhone 6 will be? I hate to leave the iPhone/Apple community that I've been a part of for so long, simply because it is not compatible with my car, but the car is the larger, more permanent purchase and I'd like it to function with all features. My phone contract is up shortly and I need to make a phone decision. For the record, all of the Android phones I have researched are fully compatible with the car.
I've visited a variety of Mazda forums, which all have outdated responses and no new information regarding the 2015 car models nor the IPhone 6 or iOS8. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Enabling Disk Use For Car Stereo

    Hi there,
I'm wanting to connect my iPod via my Car Stereo's USB port, and control the ipod still so I can choose which songs to play.
I was told if I enabled disk use AND manually manage songs, it would allow me to do this, but so far, after a few seconds of reading the ipod, songs are played in a random order through my car stereo and I have no control from the iPod.
Please explain what I need to do.

I don't think so. Disk use allows you to use the iPod as a storage device - as far as I know you cannot play music while it's in Disk mode, nor can you take audio from the USB port on the iPod. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!). Manually managing songs is the method for adding or removing content from the iPod, not a means of controlling it from a head unit.
Whether you can connect your iPod to your car and how it will work depends upon the car, model and year of manufacture. I used a Dension adaptor that plugs from the Dock connector on the iPod to the back of the stereo in my Mazda 3. I can choose any album, genre or playlist but usually I set the ipod to "shuffle all songs" mode and then plug it into the adaptor. Once connected, I can control track skip and track back from the steering column but I cannot see track information on the car's display. The iPod turns off and back on with the car ignition.
However, my sister-in-law has a Mazda MX-5, but her (Bose) stereo will only play from the first five playlists and that's it! Quite who thought that was a good idea, I cannot imagine! I believe this issue has been corrected on newer models.
So you see, two models from the same company give different results. Oh, and by the way, when I had the adaptor fitted, my supplier tried to sell me an FM transmitter type adaptor and I recall having a very heated discussion with them about this as they had already fitted the wired adaptor I wanted to a friend's Mazda 3.
My advice is that you see a car audio specialist who can then advise you (properly, I hope) on what options are available to you and your car. Look up Dension though, but treat with caution their claim about using USB. I've noticed that you and Kenichi have exchanged a few more comments while I'm writing this, so I now know you have a Sony head unit. It may not be able to display the iPod screens, but I'm sure Sony make iPod adaptors for their head units..
I still think you need to consult a car audio specialist, who knows what they are talking about. I think even your local Halfords may be able to help. It can't help to try them.
    Phil.
