Query list of MBeans which implements an interface

I would like to query all of the MBeans which implements javax.management.jbi.AdminServiceMBean interface.
(The JBI specification says that this JMX bean must be implemented, but the domain/location of the MBean in the JMX tree is implementation specific).
I read this posts:
http://blogs.sun.com/jmxetc/entry/how_can_i_find_all
http://weblogs.java.net/blog/emcmanus/archive/2008/04/a_query_languag.html
and try this code:
        String ifName = AdminServiceMBean.class.getCanonicalName();
        for (ObjectName name : mbsc.queryNames(null, Query.isInstanceOf(Query.value(ifName)))) {
            System.out.println(name);
        }Unfortunately I get an empty list (with GlassfishESB). I think the JBI classes have been loaded by an other classloader than the com.sun.jbi.management.system.AdminServiceMBean and other com.sun.jbi.* implementations classes.
(If I change the code above to ifname = "com.sun.jbi.management.system.AdminServiceMBean" than it works. Unfortunately this class name is also implementation specific so it's not enough for me)
Is there any way to query all of the MBeans implements a specific interface with similar class loading issues?

    Hi.,
    Read the  database view VSEOIMPLEM with where condition.,  REFCLSNAME =  <Interface Name> and Version = 1.
    This gives the class names which implement the interface.,

    Hi,
    There are only 2 zip files you need to extract.
    Location to Extract <b>gp_api_nw04s.zip</b>=>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\DCs\sap.com\caf\eu\gp
    Location to Extract <b>gp_TopLevelDcs.zip</b>=>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\SCs\sap.com\CAF\_comp\TopLevelDCs
    Very simple.
    Then in your DC project expand the tree of your previously created DC and
    navigate to DC MetaData->DC Definition ->Used DCs
    Right click on the node “Used DCs” and click on Add Used DC…
    Add both the api's separetely,
    Choose caf/eu/gp/api -> DC MetaData -> Public Parts -> external
    Choose caf/eu/gp/api/wd -> DC MetaData -> Public Parts  ->  GPWebDynproCO.
    For “Dependency Type” select  Build Time, Deploy Time, and Run Time for both.
    Finally ,
    Define Web Dynpro References for  your DC
    a. Right click on your DC b. Click Properties
    Select entry Web Dynpro References

  • How to find out in program which all classes have implemented an interface

    Hello,
    I have created an interface and few classes are implementing the interface.
    I want to know in a program which all class have implemented the interface.
    Is it possible to find it out and how?
    Regards,

    Hi Bikash,
    Read the Database view VSEOIMPLEM with where condition REFCLSNAME = Interface Name and version = 1.
    This would give you all the classes which have implemented the interface and are active...
    If you want to look at the values that the field version can have then see Type Group SEOC ans search for version....
    Hope this help...

  • Concrete classes implement abstract class and implements the interface

    I have one query..
    In java collection framework, concrete classes extend the abstract classes and implement the interface. What is the reason behind extending the class and implementing the interface when the abstract class actually claims to implement that interface?
    For example :
    Class Vector extends AbstractList and implements List ,....
    But the abstract class AbstractList implements List.. So the class Vector need not explicitly implement interface List.
    So, what is the reason behind this explicit definition...?
    If anybody knows please let me know..
    Thanx
    Rajendra.

    Why do you post this question again? You already asked this once in another thread and it has been extensively debated in that thread: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=31&thread=347682

  • Dummy Implementation of Interface

    Hi SAP Gurus & Mr Uwe,
    I'm interested with your discussion (Mr Uwe's commented) a while ago regarding dummy implementation of interface on Mar 25, 2008 12:52 PM.
    I saw this CL_EX_CRM_BUS20001_R3A class of mine has the same code as the topic that you commented.
    I would like to know about this dummy implementation of interface. Firstly is what is the use of this interface? I assume that this program is the main BADI so it should have all the parameters required for the next program which is in this case is the interface. Is that right?
    Thank you very much for your insightful explanation.
    With kind regards,
    Michael

    Hi Adrian,
    Did you have any success with your Trading Partner Directory?
    Our project includes ECC, CRM 5.1, SRM6.0 and Portal. We have this CRM scenario where a customer (manager) logs on and approves one of his employees, already self-registered, as a customer Portal user. UME seems to support that scenario, but it can only retrieve company information from a SRM backend system using a custom implementation of the Trading Partner Directory interface. In our case it is a CRM scenario and CRM Business Partners are not replicated on SRM.
    What is that SRM Trading Partner Directory interface and how much effort is involved in this custom implementation?
    Does the portal need to restart for new Companies to be added?
    Is there a better way to update the list of companies in UME from a list of CRM Business Partner?
    Thanks

  • Regarding implementations of interfaces

    In Collection framework API, all the interfaces have been provided with adapter classes, which provide most of the skeletal implementation for those interfaces. The classes which are extended from these adapter classes are again implementing all the super interfaces. Why? For what reason, the ArrayList, HashSet etc., are implementing the interfaces List, Collection & Set, Collection respectively.

    Perhaps the list of interfaces isn't stored in plain text, but for a small class that extends ArrayList I see this:.......1........
    <init>...()V...C
    ode...LineNumber
    Table...main...(
    [Ljava/lang/Stri
    ng;)V...SourceFi
    le...deleteme.ja
    va........java/u
    til/Vector...del
    eteme$1CustomCla
    ss...CustomClass
    ...InnerClasses.
    ............My n
    ame is Gary...de
    leteme...java/ut
    il/ArrayList...(
    Ldeleteme;)V...a
    dd...(Ljava/lang
    /Object;)Z.!....
    ..............D.
    ..........Y...M.
    ..Y*...N,-...W..
    .............II don't see all the interfaces listed in the class file itself. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about. Perhaps your decompiler is looking up the inheritence tree.
    I effect, the real class ArrayList DOES implement interface List. I don't understand the problem.

  • Calling inteface methods - which implementation to consider??

    Hi Experts
    I am new to ABAP Objects, but I know Java. So I am trying to learn ABAP comparing with Java but it creating lot of confusions.
    in a demo program I found the below code :
    DATA tab_root TYPE REF TO cl_wd_uielement_container.
        DATA structure_root TYPE REF TO cl_wd_uielement_container.
        DATA new_tab TYPE REF TO cl_wd_table.
        IF wd_this->structure_changed = abap_true.
          structure_root ?= view->get_element( id = 'FIELD_GROUP' ).
          tab_root       ?= view->get_element( id = 'TABLE_GROUP' ).
    In  the above code snippet,
    structure_root ?= view->get_element( id = 'FIELD_GROUP' ).
    is a downcasting and view is of type ref to IF_WD_VIEW and class cl_wd_uielement_container implements this interface.
    My question is, when we do not know which is the implemenation class  for this interface, how can we call a method of this interface (because methods are not implemented in the interface itself but in the implementation class).??
    In the above assignment statement, how does system finds out which implementation to point to??
    Question may be very basic, but i couldnt find the answer for this.
    Please help me
    Thanks
    Dhananjay Hegde

    Hi,
    First create the instance(object) of class in you were implement interface method then call the interface method using the object.
    for example
    Report  Zinterface,
    interface IF_view.
    methods: view.
    endinterface.
    class c1 definition.
    public section.
    interfaces: IF_view.
    methods:m1,m2. " here some more methods.
    endclass.
    class c1 implementation.
    method IF_view~view.
    write:/ 'this is an interface method'.
    endmethod.
    method m1.
    write:/ 'this is  M1 method'.
    endmethod.
    method m2.
    write:/ 'this is  M2 method'.
    endmethod.
    endclass.
    data: obj type ref to c1.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
    create object obj.
    call method obj->IF_view~view." call the interface method using the insatance of where you were implemeted the interface
    The above procedure apply for your requirement.. i hope you may get idea about interface method calling.
    Best Regards
    sreenivas.

  • Generate query list by Infoproviders

    Hello,
    Is there a way to generate an organised list of queries by Infoproviders which is easier to export to a MS Excel other than from tables and repository.

    Hello Justin,
    Check this thread...
    [Re: how can i see all queries  on one cube...?(query list)|Re: how can i see all queries  on one cube...?(query list)]
    Alternatively you might be able to achieve this using an ABAP program.

  • Implementing SingleThradModel interface and synchronizing service

    Hi all,
    I came across the one question.
    What is difference between the implementing SingleThradModel interface and synchronizing service method in the Servlet?
    Which one is the better one? and why?
    It seems to be same for me... but still confused?
    Please explain me.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    No one is better. Just write threadsafe code. E.g. do not declare instance variables which are to be used per request. Just keep in mind that only one instance of the Servlet will be created which lives as long as the webapplication runs and that it will be reused among all requests. Keep request scoped variables inside the method block and you're safe.

  • Implementing Basecommand interface

    hi all,
    i have created a GUI using swing which i want to evoke as a button in ARC map ,but for that i have to implement basecommand interface and use my code there , but iam not getting it how to do that so can any one give me a code snippet or a description soas to how that can be achieved...
    thanks in advance

    Sorry, but there is no BaseCommand interface in the API.
    And what don't you know? What a baseCommand is supposed to do? Neither do I, but if it exists somewhere, it's likely to have a documentation that tells you. Or don't you kno who wto implement interfaces? Then read the tutorial.

  • Using SEO_METHOD_ACTIVATE with methods implemented from Interface

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a class and activate it using some ABAP code. I began by copying a template class into a new class called ZKMOD_COPY.
    Now I want to activate this class. I tried SEO_METHOD_ACTIVATE but all it does is set the flag to 'A' in the table. It doesn't really activate the whole class I see in SE24.
    Going through the forums, I came across ABAP Objects where someone said to call these in order: SEO_ATTRIBUTE_ACTIVATE, SEO_EVENT_ACTIVATE,  SEO_METHOD_ACTIVATE, SEO_TYPE_ACTIVATE
    Now my class does not contain any attributes, events or types. It contains just one method, so I suppose except SEO_METHOD_ACTIVATE I don't really need the others.
    Now this method (called EXIT) is implemented from an Interface IF_RSCNV_EXIT. In the class definition of ZKMOD_COPY, it shows this method by the name IF_RSCNV_EXIT~EXIT.
    The problem is that I'm not able to activate this method. I can't figure out what parameters to give in CIFKEYand  MTDKEYS
    I tried all permutations of "zkmod_copy", "if_rscnv_exit" as classes, "exit" and "if_rscnv_exit~exit" as the methods, but it kept throwing exceptions like not specified or not existing. Debugging the FM also did not give me any clues.
    So what I really need is, what parameters should I give there? Alternatively, is there any way I can programmatically activate my class? This may sound a silly question, since I'm a BI guy with not too much ABAP knowledge, but I'd be really grateful if someone could help out with this.

    Matt,
    We have some Customer Exits in BI. I'm trying to develop a kind of program that will generate the code for a customer exit class. So probably I would have an FM take some params, create the class with some static member attributes (not yet fully designed), so that it is ready to be used as a customer exit.
    It's all still nebulous - I'm finding the various things that I feel I will need.
    CIFKEYS I think is the -> IF_RSCNV_EXIT
    MTDKEYS-CLSNAME is IF_RSCNV_EXIT
    MTDKEYS-CMPNAME is EXIT.
    In this, the name of the class ZKMOD_COPY is not used anywhere. But IF_RSCNV_EXIT is an interface, it can be implemented by any number of classes. So shouldn't the class name (ZKMOD_COPY) be mentioned somewhere? How would the system know which implementation of IF_RSCNV_EXIT should be activated?
    At present I'm not in front of a system; I'll try this on Monday and get back to you. Thanks for the help anyway, Matthew!

  • Implementation of interfaces

    I have a interface A in which a function f1 is declared
    as int f1();
    I have another interface B in which function f1 is declared
    as char f1();
    Now I want to define a class C which implements both
    A and B. In C how should I define function f1?
    I can't define f1 twice.
    If I defined f1 as returning int compiler is asking for the
    definition of f1 in B and same with other way.
    Now what should I do?

    Yes you can. Just implement the two different methods. This is called "method overloading" and is perfectly legal and safe. Java will keep track of them by their method "signature" (return type and argument types).

  • Can Enum parameterized type implement an interface?

    I am trying to define a class that is parameterized with an Enum and the parameterized Enum must implement an interface. Here is some code:public interface MatchingEnum<E> {
        String match(); // This interface is not yet complete
    public class EnumField<E extends Enum<E> & MatchingEnum<E>> {
        private E enumeration;
        public EnumField(E enumeration) {
            this.enumeration = enumeration;
        private static class Test {
            EnumField<TestType> c;
        public enum TestType implements MatchingEnum<TestType> { One, Two, Three;
            public String match() {
                return null;
    }The problem is that the compiler complains that "classes cannot directly extend java.lang.Enum". If I delete the interface for the parameterized type(below) it compiles fine. Why can't the compiler handle this? Does specifying an Interface for an Enum bounds (E) force it to directly extend Enum? If so, why does the actual Enum compile?public class EnumField<E extends Enum<E>> {Blah, blah, blah... // This compiles
    public class EnumField<E extends Enum<E> & MatchingEnum<E>> {Blah, blah blah... // This does NOT compile
