Query on Availability Check

Hi All,
Please help be understand following scenario.
1. I have created a Sales order with Qty 100, It has created two Schedule Lines on two dates as total quantity is not available on single Date.
2. The two schedule lines created are for Qty 58 with Material availability date on 01/26/2009 and Qty 42 on 01/29/2009.
3. When i go to CO09 with Check rule as "B" i am gettin Qty as 77.
My Question is when i am doing Delivery for Future data 01/29/2009 today how much is the Qty it should take to Delivery.
My understanding is it checks how much Qty is relevant for delivery from SO based on Material availability date and checks the availability based on today's Date.
Thank you
Kris

Hi Kris
What you said is right system will check the quantity that has to be delivered and it system will also check wheather backward scheduling or forward scheduling has to be done
If in your sales order the delivery date is 29/01/2009 and the available stock is 79pcs then when you do delivery system will confirm 79pcs only. But if you have any open sales orders of that material then the stock may get reduced when you do delivery .So as you are going to CO09 , system is showing quantity of 77pcs only then in CO09 only you can check wheather there are any sales orders which are not yet delivered

  • Availability check query

    Hi all,
For a material whose stock is 30 qty and for which availability check is active , we are unable to create partial deliveries for sales order of 50 quantities , even though customer master and sales order allows the for created partial deliveries upto 9.
We have also checked the scope of availability check and have found that it includes dependent reservations as well.
Kindly suggest if some specific config related to SD is to be checked.

    hi,
in regard of the above query, delivery is being created using a Batch Job(Z-Development)
however , even thru Manual activity Partial delivery is allowed when created using VL01n and not allowed when created using VL10A.
Can any one please suggest me regarding fuctionalities and differences in these two T codes.

  • Availability check in third party sales

    Hi SD Gurus,
I have configured third party sales scenario.
I have an issue. When I create sales order for the customer the system goes into availability check before creating the Purchase Requisition.  Should the system go into availability check for third party sales scenario as at schedule line category level i.e CS availability check is disabled .
Please provide your suggestions.  Thx in advance.
    Jayant

I have one more query.. On doing the MIGO after the Purchase Order is created should the stock increase for the receiving plant in MMBE.. I have checked and it is not getting increased.. Please let me know if the stock should get increased or not..
Please answer the above 2 queries :
    1)  Related to the availability check in third party sales.

  • Availability check of sales order in planning strategy 40

    Dear friends,
    Kindly help me this query:
From online SAP help in Demand Management, it said in planning strategy 40:
"An accurate availability check is performed according to ATP (available to promise) logic during sales order processing. The system checks whether sufficient planned independent requirements have been planned to cover the sales order....  If there is insufficient coverage of components (the sales order quantities exceed the planned independent requirement quantities), the sales orders cannot be confirmed"
According to above paragraph, I think that availability check of sales order is carried out against PIR, if PIR quantity cannot cover sales order quantity then order will not be confirmed, it also means stock on-hand will not be included in availability check. However, my testing reveal a different conclusion: sales order is confirmed against stock on-hand, not PIR. My questions are:
1/ in planning strategy 40, how does system carry out availability check for sales order?
2/ how to interpret above help from SAP?
I got that help from this link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/cb/7f9b7043b711d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Many thanks for your clear answers.
    Regards,
    Duc.

    Dear duc pb ,
In 40 its only ATP that works.
you can do another test ,
    Create PIR 15 quantity.
Create a stock of 10 quantity.
and now create a sales order firszt of quantity 30, as both of the above after combining cant fullfill this demand, save order run MRP.
system will create orders against PIR (15)  and remainibnbg quantity of sales order (5)
run one more test, by creating PIR 15 quantity , no stock and a sales order of with quantity 10.
    share your findings.
    Thanks

  • Availability check - Planned order not considered

    Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue in Make to Order scenario.
My sale order is of quantity 10.
when i save the sale order, i get confirmed quantity as Zero.
But in my controls setting of availability check i have selected consider all firmed planned order.
Now  i have a firmed planned order for this sale order.
but still system shows confirm quantity as Zero.
Let me know what is the correct procedure and whether planned orders are considered for availabilty check for MTO scenario or not.

    Hi Venu,
Please find answers of your query:
    1.    First have you maintained any safety stock in mm01:
    No
    2. Tcode: Md04
    3.> Tcode : Co09
4> If that stock related to batch Please check in MSC2N Because if batch is restricted you cant get stock

  • Availability check and Credit check

    Hi
I have set up credit management. I have a query in my case for a MTS scenario the credit check is before I do the availability check
but in the case of a MTO scenario credit check is after availability check.
Am I missing any setups???? I am not able to understand this behaviour, should it not be considering the value as soon as the order is created and not wait for the availability check.
    Thank you for your time
    Regards
    Madan Shetty

Sorry about the late reponse I was away for a few days.
Thanks Srinu and Eduardo was taking timeout and responding.
Totally agree Srinu and that was exactly my point as well and hence the post on SDN
Srinu my issue with a MTO material is when I enter the order and save it there is no reponse from the system as currently stock is not avaiable, for some reason it doesnt do a credit check .
But for the same customer with a MTS material as soon as enter the customer num and the material
it gives a pop up stating
STATIC credit check: credit limit exceeded(data cannot be saved).
PLease do let me know if you require further details in the meanwhile I am gonna try and verify as well from my end.
My FD32 setup incase I have made any errors please do specify

  • Availibility check not happening after credit block is removed for order

    Hi All,
When  we are removing the credit block on  a sales order through report RVKRED09, the availibility check is not performed again because the qty in sales order is not confirmed.
As per my understanding when the report RVKRED09 is run, the sales order is called in background and the credit status is changed  and then subsequently, the user exit MV45AFZF is called. In this exit, the values in wa-ybuk-cmgst is compared against wa-xbuk-cmgst. if  i think wa-ybuk-cmgst is A and wa-xbuk-cmgst is B, then it means the credit blocked is removed and the return code is 8 which means availibility check is to be performed.
However in our case availibility check is not happening since the values of wa-ybuk-cmgst and wa-xbuk-cmgst  are same which is B i..e the credit block is not removed...but however the report RVKRED09 shows that cedit status is changed.
Something is happening somwhere  which is causing this. could any one guide. Also what is the program name which confirms the availibility check in sales order and also what is the program name  which changes the credit status  for a sales order in VBUK table.
    regards
    sachin

    Hi
So as per your query , you have gone with the user exit in the program MV45AFZF , so check wheather any subprogram has been included where availability check wont happen. So just take the help of ABAP;er and then check wheather any program has been included related to availability check.

  • Dynamic availability check not taking reservation accumulation into account

We have 2 production orders for which the availability check had been done and situation is
Finished good has 1 component and the Plant stock of the component is 99 EA.No other receipts are in place.
Order1 is for quantity of 100 EA
    Order2(at a later date than order1) is 1 EA
Post availaility check using COHV, Order1 is confirmed for 99 EA and is with MACM status and order2 has no commitment and is with MSPT status.
Dynamic availability check for CO27 in OMCP config points to the same checking rule we used during the intial material availabillity check.
In the Movement type config 261 movement type is assigned to dynamic avl.check - F  Message in any case: E mess. for non-avail., otherw. S mess.
When we execute CO27 individually for the orders we can trap the error as per availability check commitments as we have seen earlier.
But when we try to input both orders together in CO27 and do a pick list confirmation the second order gets the component issue with the first one not getting posted (expected to be partially to the tune of 99 EA) thereby violating the availability check results ultimately.
Request your help in knowing whether this is the SAP design or am i missing some thing else?

Query posted in the PP Forum and hence this is closed.

  • Creation of Sale Order for configurable material with availability check.

    Hi,
We have a scenario in which the material is configurable. The configurable material (X) has few variants (Ex: X1, X2, X3, X4, X5). While booking the sale order, we use the material number (X).
Further, the material planning is done for the variants X1, X2, X3, X4, X5. The standard variants are planned for production in advance.
    1.     While booking the sale order, we want the availability check of the stock (type matching to happen). What needs to be done in configuration?
    2.     While booking the sale order, there is a possibility that the configuration selected will not match with any of the standard variants due to some additional requirements of the optional features, in such cases how to link the standard variants to the sale order & create requirement for additional requirements.
    Regards,
    Umesh

    Hi Umesh,
1.Create material master for configurable material and variants in mm01.
2.Maintain BOM for the configurable material in CS01
               3. Configur the variant configuration steps
                  a. Create charecteristics T.code CT04
                  b. Create values and assign classes
                  c. assign the values to charecteristics
                  d . Maitain dependence  T.code CU01
                  e.create configuration profile t.code CU41
                  f.stimulate the configuration profile.
    4. Do the availability check configuration through this path
IMG --> Sales and distribution > Basic functions ,> Availabilty check and Transfer of requirements.
    5. Maintain the Availbility check field and MRP views in the material masters other wise you sit with PP people and do that
I hope it will help you

    Murali.

  • Availability Check not working for Item Cat TANN or YG05 in Btch Split

Currently working on implementing Automatic Batch Determination (BD) project and one fine piece is holding up the implementation (make or break for project).
    In our QA System:
      - In inventory we have a quantity of 2 for a material: 1 in one batch and 1 in another batch.
      - Create an order with 2 line items with the same material number for a quantity of 1 each.  Line item category is TANN
      - When you generate the delivery the batch determination causes the items to split (even though you have a quantity of 1 in the line item).
      - When you go into the delivery and open up the 1st line item and look at the 900001 line, BD chooses the 1st batch for a quantity of 1.  Line item category is YG05.
      - When you open up the 2nd line item and look at the 900002 line, BD chooses the 1st batch again, NOT the 2nd batch which it should.
If I change the line item category on the Sales Order to TAN and generate the delivery, BD correctly assigns the 1st batch to the 900001 line item and the 2nd batch to the 900002 line item.  Which is correct.
Now for the strange part.  The TANN item category and BD works find in our DEV Sandbox, but NOT in our QAS system.
I have spent two days now trying to find out where Availability Check is assigned specifically to Item  Categories and any differences between our DEV Sandbox and our QA systems to no avail.
Our customers need the ability to be able to put the same material number on multiple lines of a sales order due to special pricing per customer within an order.
Can anyone direct me to some configuration or transaction that controls Availability Checking by Item Category.  I have checked the 0VLP transaction and they are identical between our DEV and QA system for the TANN and YG05 categories.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In VOV6 the 'CP' Schedule Line Cat. has the Availability flag check.  There were a few areas where I found an "Availability" flag and made sure there were all set.
But, I did finally find out what the error was:
Logistics Exec -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Avail Check and Transfer of Requirements -> Transfer of Requirements -> Determination Of Requirement Types Using  Transactions
There are entries by Item Category.  For
    I/C = TANN
    MRP type = PD
the Requirement Type was missing (if you look at the entry for TAN/PD you see an 11 in the RqTy column).
So I entered a 11 (Delivery Requirement) into the field and now the Availability Check works and I am getting the correct Batches and quantities during Batch Determination.
There is no entry for the YG05 batch split, so I guess the system just uses the Item Category of the main line item.
Thanks for the responses.  Sorry to bother you I should have figured this out earlier.
    Scott.

  • Longer time for Material Availability check while creation of prd order.

    Hi guys,
I am facing a weird problem while creating production orders thru CO01.
I enter the component and plant and I am also using the forward scheduling option.
for some reason, SAP is taking a long time for material availability check when I hit the release button.
Sometimes its taking more than an hour. Its happening with few specific BOM's, and I have checked the master data but I could hardly find a problem in master data.
Can someone suggest me some tips ??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sashivardhan

    Hi,
Please check the Availability check control maintained for Components it should be 01 or 02. Also check the issue storage location maintained or not. You can maintain issue storage location in BOM in Status/lng text tab in Production Storage Location.
    Hope this will help.
    Regards,
    Navin

  • Availability Check at Storage Location Level.

    Hi All,
Currrently we have the availability check functionality happenin at the plant level. If the stock is available in the plant, then the sales order is getting confirmed. But, the requirement is if the stock is insufficient then system should check all storage locations attached to the plant. Can someone please guide as to how this can be achieved?
    Regards,
    Raghav

    Hi
This is not a standard SAP functionality. Either you have to input the storage location manually in the sales order or to automate this,  you have to enhance the functionality using a userexit.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

My client requiremnt is when availibility check should carried out it should conside only one storage location i.e SL01 - Unrestricted use stock and should not considere Stock of other storage location except SL01.

  • Reserve stock in availability check

    Dear Gurus
I have one requirement. I have searched forum but I didn't get anything which helps me.
I have a material A with 5 quantity in storage location 1064. When I create sale order of this material with 3 quantity system reserves this stock against this sale order. It will remain reserve until i reject this order. Thee are many open sale orders against which stock is reserved. I have to find out orders with VA05 and reject them. If i create new order of same material with 3 quantity system will only confirm 2.
My requirement is that when i press availability check button system should only check available stock, no stock reserve. When i create delivery system should copy available stock. In short there must be only availability check, No stock reservation.

    Dear moazzamjii
My requirement is that when i press availability check button system should only check available stock, no stock reserve.
If this is your requirement you go to OVZ9 in that just flag the iinclude sales requirements in the in/out movements.
    Check and revert
    Thanks&Regards
