Query on MRP to consider vendor holidays

Dear All,
In my industry MRP creates the purchase requisition for the raw material. These materials are procured from different vendors. The vendor has some holidays during the upcoming christmas and we would like MRP to take these holidays into account and propose the "Release Date" of the MRP Purchase requisitions. How should it be made possible.
For eg. a PR for material A has a planned date = 02.01.2012, GR processing time of this material is 5 days. Hence Delivery date of PR = 27.12.2011. Planned delivery date of the item is 5 days, hence the release date of the PR is 19.11.2011. This is the current setup. However the vendor which supplies this material is closed from 20.11.2011 to 23.11.2011. Hence we want MRP to consider this 3 days holiday and propose the release date of PR as 16.11.2011. Can anyone let me know how this could be made possible.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I have tried using planning calendar. However i could see that on using a planning calendar only the planning date and/or the delivery date falls as per the interval in the planning calendar but not the release date Also i could see that the planning calendar is usefull for grouping our requirements (using suitable lot size), and fixing the delvery date as, as per the planning calendar, but not the release date....Hence i believe planning calendar cannot be of use for my above requirement.

  • How to build a query based on(UNION) 3 vendor InfoObject

    Dear Experts:
    I have a requirement to build one query based on 3 vendor InfoObjct: 0VENDOR + 0VEN_COMPC + 0VEN_PURORG.
I tried to build a multiprovider upon these 3 infoobjects, but when I Identify(Assign) the key for each InfoObject, supposely there should be 3 InfoObject for me to check (0VENDOR, 0VEN_COMPC and 0VEN_PURORG) so that I can UNION these 3 infoobjects together on vendor number. But since the reference infoobject of these 3 vendor master data is different, I can not check the 3 together.
Can anybody let me know how to build that query? I only need vendor number show once, and the attributes of 0VEN_COMPC and 0VEN_PURORG can be union to 0vENDOR.
Any post would be appreciated and thank you all in advance!
    Best Regards!
    Tim

    Hi,
you can create a link between the vendor objects itself, means link 0vendor with 0ven_compc and 0ven_purorg. This should give you a list of all vendors multiplied with the comp codes multiplied with the purch. org. May be here it is possible to create another link between a attribute (eg. comp_code of 0ven_purorg with comp_code of 0ven_compc). In case it is not possible you need to add this link information somehow. Another option might be to create 2 queries. One on a infoset of 0vendor and 0ven_purorg and another one on 0vendor and 0ven_compc.

  • To run MRP without considering unrestricted stock

    Hi,
Is it possible to run MRP without considering unrestricted stock of the material?
    Best Regards,
    Sitaraman

    Dear All,
Thanks a lot for your response to this thread.
In fact i tried the option of providing value 1 to exclude the storage location stock from the MRP. But it did not fulfil my requirement.
    My requirement is as below:
The business wants to create the material requirement by manual reservations.
Also for this MRP run except this manual reservations all other issue elements, receipt elements and stocks should not get considered.
With checking group configuration i am able to exclude all other issue, receipt and stock elements. But in this settings there is no option to exclude the unrestricted stock.
What happened when i tried giving 1 in MRP 4 view to exclude the storage location stock, the system not only excludes the stock but also it excludes the storage location from MRP run. Meaning...
    Plant   XXXX
    SLOC YYYY
SLOC - YYYY current stock: 100
Manual reservation created (requirement) for SLOC -YYYY : 50
The expectation out of MRP run is, to create procurement proposals for 50 numbers with out considering SLOC - YYYY stock of 100 and not to exclude the SLOC YYYY itself.

  • Report MRP data - Fixed Vendor

    Hi All,
I am trying to build a report by query, to display MRP data and related fixed vendor (if available).
I tried joining the tables MARC, MAKT, EORD and LFA1, but did not get the output as desired. The report shows only the material with a source list.
Please, could you help me to display all the records (with or without fixed vendor)? How can i use a outer join?
    Thanks in andvance.

Can use the inner join directly in the infoset by add a table.

  • MRP to consider Sched Agreement or Contract Qty limit

    Hi experts,
    I have this master data:
Sched Agreement SA#1 - 100units Target Qty; validity is May 1 to Dec 31, 2014
    Source List - SA#1 valid from May 1 to Dec 31, 2014
    DepRequirements:
    a) 50 units - May 5, 2014
    b) 30 units - June 5, 2014
    c) 20 units - July 5, 2014
    d) 15 units - Aug 5, 2014
When I execute MRP for Sched Lines, all requirements a/b/c/d are assigned with Schedule Lines.  But considering the maximum target of 100 units by the SA, I want MRP to just create Sched Lines for requriements a/b/c (total is 100 units)
Is this possible in MRP via standard settings, or only Badi can address this "target qty limits"?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello
MRP does not check the schedule agreement target quantity.
This is the system standar behavior and note 83343 explains it in detail.
A maximum quantity can be considered on the MRP run by means of the quota arrangement.
The following document provides this information and another common issues on source determination:
MRP: Vendor is not selected and general problems on source determination
If you want to develop your own code to check the target quantity, the only option that I see is MD_MODIFY_SOURCE. This BAdI allows you to define your own logic for the source determination during the MRP run.

  • Query for finding data during special holidays

Hi, i have a table for special holidays that looks like this:
    PROFILE_DAY
    VAR_DATE
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    1/1/2013
    H_WEEK_THURSDAY
    3/28/2013
    H_WEEK_FRIDAY
    3/29/2013
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    12/24/2013
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    12/25/2013
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    12/31/2013
And another table (LOAD_PROFILE_TEST), which contains LOAD_PROF1 values from (TIME_EQ) 0 to 24 at intervals 0.25 for (PROFILE_DAY) MONDAY to SUNDAY including REGULAR_HOLIDAY, H_WEEK_THURSDAY and H_WEEK_FRIDAY.  All in all, this table contains 970 records (97 records between 0 to 24 with interval of 0.25 per PROFILE_DAY, with 10 distinct PROFILE_DAY).
    TIME_EQ
    PROFILE_DAY
    LOAD_PROF1
    LOAD_PROF2
    0
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    11.47
    0.25
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    11.27
    0.5
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    11.3
    0.75
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    11.08
    0
    MONDAY
    11.27
    0.25
    MONDAY
    11.33
    0.5
    MONDAY
    11.18
Now, I have this query to update value of LOAD_PROF2 of the said table whenever parameters V_DATE_OUT & V_DATE_IN is entered:
    UPDATE LOAD_PROFILE_TEST
         SET LOAD_PROF2 = LOAD_PROF1 + :LOAD_DIFF
         WHERE  UPPER(PROFILE_DAY) IN (select UPPER(to_char(:V_DATE_OUT + (level-1), 'fmDAY'))
                       from  dual
                       connect by level <=  :V_DATE_IN - :V_DATE_OUT  + 1
    where :LOAD_DIFF is a certain pre-determined value.
This query works fine if i am trying to update regular days from MONDAY to SUNDAY.  What i would like to do is to determine if the two parameter dates, V_DATE_OUT & V_DATE_IN would fall under any of the holidays on the first table LOAD_PROFILE_TEST, then update only those rows.  For example, V_DATE_OUT = 12/02/2013, Monday and V_DATE_IN = 12/06/2013, Friday.  The query above would update the values of LOAD_PROF2 for PROFILE_DAY -  MONDAY to FRIDAY, corresponding to dates 12/02/2013 and 12/06/2013.  If however, V_DATE_OUT = 12/23/2013, Monday and V_DATE_IN = 12/27/2013, Friday, this should update the rows corresponding to PROFILE_DAY - MONDAY for 12/23/2013, THURSDAY for 12/26/2013, FRIDAY for 12/27/2013, and REGULAR_HOLIDAY for the dates 12/24/2013 and 12/25/2013 since these two are included in the first table (table of holidays).  This same scenario will work the same way when V_DATE_OUT  and/or V_DATE_IN fall in the dates 3/28/2013 and 3/29/2013.  All other dates not included in the table for special holidays will be treated according to the day they fall on (Monday thru Sunday).  I hope my point is clear.  Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your reply.  Firstly, I am using Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production).  I will try to explain a little further but I don't know if i can give the exact details of the tables since this would be voluminous. First i have a table REG_HOLIDAYS, whcih contain the following:
    PROFILE_DAY
    VAR_DATE
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    1/1/2013
    H_WEEK_THURSDAY
    3/28/2013
    H_WEEK_FRIDAY
    3/29/2013
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    12/24/2013
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    12/31/2013
    REGULAR_HOLIDAY
    12/25/2013
Now i have another table LOAD_PROFILE_TEST which i will simplify just to show what i wanted to do:
    CREATE
    TABLE LOAD_PROFILE_TEST
    TIME_EQ
    NUMBER (5, 2),
    PROFILE_DAY
    VARCHAR2 (15 BYTE),
    LOAD_PROF1
    NUMBER (6, 2),
    LOAD_PROF2
    NUMBER (6, 2)
Here are the sample values of this table:
    TIME_EQ
    PROFILE_DAY
    LOAD_PROF1
    LOAD_PROF2
    0
    Monday
    2
    0
    Tuesday
    2.1
    0
    Wednesday
    2.3

    2.2
    0.25
    Friday
    2.5
    0.25

    2.3
    0.25
    Sunday
    2.3
    0.25
    Regular_holiday
    2.5
However, in the actual table, TIME_EQ will start with 0 until 24 with interval of 0.25 (i.e 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5, ...23.5, 23.75, 24).  So for a PROFILE_DAY of 'Monday', there will be 97 rows corresponding to TIME_EQ of 0 to 24.  The same is true for Tuesday, Wednesday until Sunday including Regular_holiday.  All in all, this table would contain 776 rows.  LOAD_PROF1 values are random values initally inputted with PROFILE_DAY and TIME_EQ.
The first goal is to UPDATE this table (LOAD_PROFILE_TEST) by updating the column LOAD_PROF2 by adding a certain parameter value, :LOAD_DIFF, say 0.1. Now, i will have two scenarios to show what i would like to happen.  First, i have two date parameters :V_DATE_OUT and :V_DATE_IN.
    First Case, V_DATE_OUT = 12/15/2013 (Monday); V_DATE_IN = 12/22/2013 (Sunday)
I will have this query to update said table:
    UPDATE LOAD_PROFILE_TEST
           SET LOAD_PROF2 = LOAD_PROF1 + :LOAD_DIFF
       WHERE   UPPER(PROFILE_DAY) IN (select UPPER(
                                                                     to_char(
                                                                          :V_DATE_OUT + (level-1),
                                                                          'fmDAY'))
                                                                    from  dual
                                                     connect by level <=
                                                           :V_DATE_IN - :V_DATE_OUT  + 1);
The output of this query would be:
    TIME_EQ
    PROFILE_DAY
    LOAD_PROF1
    LOAD_PROF2
    0
    Monday
    2

Since, 12/15/2013 up to 12/22/2013 is from Monday to Sunday without having a particular day included in the first table, REG_HOLIDAYS, therefore all the rows with Monday to Sunday are updated.
    Second Case, V_DATE_OUT = 12/23/2013 (Monday); V_DATE_IN = 12/29/2013 (Sunday)
Take note that 12/24 and 12/25 are included in the first table, REG_HOLIDAYS, therefore i need a query so that this would be my output afterwards:

As can be seen, since 12/23/2013 up to 12/29/2013 is from Monday to Sunday, rows with Monday upto Sunday should be updated, HOWEVER, since 12/24 and 12/25 which falls on a Tuesday and a Wednesday also were declared as holidays (included in the REG_HOLIDAYS table),  instead of updating rows with PROFILE_DAY of Tuesday and Wednesday, the query should instead update rows with Regular_holiday as PROFILE_DAY and leave as is the rows with Tuesday and Wednesday.  Additional note, days declared in the REG_HOLIDAYS table with PROFILE_DAY of Regular_holidays are treated as DISTINCT as in the case of 12/24 and 12/25.
The query you gave me gives the correct value if the involved days between V_DATE_OUT and V_DATE_IN is from Monday to Sunday only, otherwise it always gives Regular_holiday only regardless of the other dates queried.  As in the first case above, it would give Monday to Sunday (correct) but for the second case, it will only give Regular_holiday, the other days (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) was not outputted.
I hope this became clearer since i will still be needing this for another query which i will inquire again after resolving this issue.  Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Vendor Holidays

If vendor will close his business every year between Nov 20 to Dec 31st.
Where we can maintain this information in SAP?
    My requirement is
Buyer should not place any Purchase order during this period.
MRP should not select this buyer during this period.
    Please suggest
    Thanks
    SUNIL

    Hi Sunil,
Using source list to control the validity of the material/vendor combination is probably the easiest way.
You may want to implement a user exit against PR or PO creation to perform a check on the vendor's availability and issue error if the creation date falls in the period.
    Sorry can't offer better solution.
    Phyllis.

  • Query for the list of publich holidays from the Project Server 2010 for reporting

I would like to get the list of public holidays that is configured in the calendar from the reporting database. I am not sure if this information is available in the database.
Please can you provide with the sql query . thanks
    Simi

I just put together this query based on what Elli J did. My problem was to come up with a way to define a calendar-based "grace period" extension of the baseline finish date for a project. The grace period had to be based on a scale factor (here 1.1) applied
to the project's official baseline duration. I then had to project forward, using the standard calendar, to the relevant grace period finish date on a per-project basis.
Anyway, here is what I came up with. Note that I eliminated the SUM operations as unnecessary, and I also had to account for the fact that the official calendar days queryable using resource by day base capacity can "run out" before it should, so that it
has to be extended by tacking on regular weekdays after that.
    SELECT
        P.ProjectUID,
        P.ProjectName,
        ProjectBaseline0StartDate = PSTB0.TaskBaselineStartDate,

  • Prevent MRP to consider Unreleased PRs

    Dear Experts ,
I need to prevent MRP Run to consider unreleased PRs ..This means that If Material X1 is avliable with stock = 200 EA and its reorder Point is = 300 EA and it uses Fixed Lot with = 300 EA ..
There are two PRs on the system one is released with quantity = 80 EA and one is not released with quantity = 100
When I rum the MRP it does not release any new PRs because it consider the quantity from the two PRs not just the released PR
I Need the MRP to just consider the released PRs
    Please Advice

    not possible.
If you or MRP creates requisitions, and your boss does not approve it, or reject it.
Then I think is time to talk to each other.
Either you requested something what you should not or the approver has to tell you why he rejected it.
It is obvious that one cannot manufacture a finished product when the approver rejects the requisition for the raw material.
    Do you just accept such?
You have to take follow on action, this means if your boss convice you that you made something wrong, then you have to delete this PR. you may  have to change MRP view entries to avoid that SAP creates new requisitions with the next run, and you may have to cancel the order for the finished product
Expecting that a rejection would be equal to a deletion, would not really clear the situation, as the next MRP run would create a new PR and the boss would reject them again. What do you think how long the boss wants to play that game?
And he is certainly not amused if he gets the double numbers of requisitions for rejection, just because you found a way to ignore rejected requisitions  during MRP run.

    Hi Jay Shankar
First tell that will u create a maintanence order for this work center??
If yes, in that order i.e. IW32 / 33 u need to declare that this WC is under maintanence & thus when u run MRP with lead time scheduling; capacity will be removed for that duration
U need to activate the field "Systcond = 1" which means it is under operation / maintenance while dealing with maintenence order
When you goto capacity planning table it will show the line in red on that dates i.e not available
Check with your PM consultant also
    Hope this helps

  • Running business when the SAP calendar is considered a holiday

SAPu2019s factory/holiday calendar considers 12/31/10 as a holiday.  Graybar Electric is open for business as usual for 12/31/10.  We had issue with our loadbuild batch job that created purchase orders.  These orders have a create date of 12/31/10 but it inserted the document date as 1/3/11 (next business day).  We know we can move up a transport to exclude 12/31/10 as a holiday but we donu2019t know the ramifications of doing so when weu2019ve already processed transactions as it being a holiday.  We also need to determine if weu2019ll have any more issues when we run batch tonight especially with the financial postings, accruals and reporting if we donu2019t exclude 12/31/10 as a holiday.  Weu2019ve run some preliminary tests and have determined that billing and other batch jobs will use a date of 12/31/10.  Can someone verify whether we will have any issues if we donu2019t exclude 12/31/10 as a holiday?

    Hi,
Regarding financial postings, it will not make any issue if you do not exclude 31 dec as holiday. System will then consider these postings in the same Dec posting period.

  • Approval Query to skip for one Vendor Group - Not working

    Dear All,
I am trying to create an approval query wherein when a user creates a Purchase Order for a Particular Vendor Group then the approval check is not required and for other Vendor Group approval check is required. The query is as under :
SELECT distinct 'true'  FROM OPOR T0  INNER JOIN OCRD T1 ON T0.CardCode = T1.CardCode INNER JOIN OCRG T2 ON T1.GroupCode = T2.GroupCode WHERE T2.GroupName <> 'Supplier Own Group'
I don't want that which vendors are in Supplier Own Group check go for an approval process. Means all vendors in this group should get skipped for approval.
How to achieve this because this query seems not to be working in the approval process because when a user creates a PO whose Vendor group is under Supplier Own Group then also the approval checking is happening.
Please help how to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Depika

    Hi,
    Try this
    SELECT distinct 'true'  FROM OPOR T0  INNER JOIN OCRD T1 ON T0.CardCode = T1.CardCode INNER JOIN OCRG T2 ON T1.GroupCode = T2.GroupCode
    AND T2.GroupName <> 'Supplier Own Group' where T0.CardCode = $[$4.1.0]
    Hope this helps,
    Son.

  • MRP Not considering Safety stock

    Hello
We have settings as 1000 for safety stock . if the stock went below 1000 , MRP is not pulling the stock for the confirmation of the Production order. we checked the safety stock indicator in the Availability check for the Prod order confirmation . What ever the stock are available ( only unrestricted stock we want to consider for the availability check )
    Any suggestion please.
    Thanks
    JJ

    Hi,
When your stock level goes below the Safety stock, then MRP will trigger a planned order to maintain the planned order. In your availability scope of check, if you checked the safety stock, the system will allow to consume the safety stock by posting the goods issue, if the tick is not there, it will not post the goods issue, saying insufficient stock is there.
