Query results are not highlighted ?

Hi
I have made CO query "Cost Center", when i expand hierachy i my sumary results are not highlighted.
I have the same query for "Cost Elements" an everything is ok, summary results are highlighted.
Any idea what is wrong ?

On each level of hierarchy there are results, but no highlight on them.

in "cost elements" on screens there is "yellow" highlight
but in "cost center" there is NO highlight.
That is the problem, any idea ?

What product are you using? What version, what database? What user is the query being run by? (It may be a privileges issue)

Search results are not accurate

hi,
am facing a unique issue in SP 2013. Whenever we search for a search criteria the results returned is not accurate always. Every time we navigate across pages, the search results change which is not
a desired behavior. However we also noticed that the refiner panel does not change as well and it retains the old count which leads to inconsistent results when user selects a criteria from the refiner.
any pointers / helpful links regarding this issue, if any anyone has surfaced, is highly appreciated!

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that search results are not accurate.
I recommend to run a full crawl and then to check whether the search results are correct.
If your incremental crawl is running, it may happen that, when you are viewing the data in the search result web part, the newly added content are not crawled yet.
So, after the content are updated, wait for some time.
Let your incremental crawl finish. Then view the results on the page.

Links from Search Results are not resolving or take a very long time.

The searches happen fairly quickly, but the links from the results are not resolving. I am unable to get the information I need. It appears there are performance problems with the site.

Spelling Errors In Mail Are Not Highlighted As I Type

Hi,
I have 'Check Spelling As I Type' enabled in Preferences in Mail, however my spelling errors are not highlighted (underlined in red) as I type.
This feature used to work but for some reason no longer does - not sure if this is attributable to recent software updates?
To check the spelling I need to select that option from the Edit menu.
Any ideas how to turn this feature back on.

Are your dictionary files in place? They should be here:
~/Library/Spelling
Maybe check that the permissions are OK on this file (do a Repair Permissions from Disk Utility).
Also, check your spelling settings in Mail: Go to Edit->Spelling->Spelling...
Finally, several other applications use the same spelling services as Mail, so try using Text Edit to see if the problem is there too.

Some words are not highlighting on my read-aloud epubs after updating IOS 6.0.1 and iBooks 3.0.1 on both my iPad 2 and iPad 3. They are working absolutely fine earlier. I even updated the latest version of iBooks 3.0.2 but nothing is working. Can anybody help?

I ran into this problem as well. Seems like something funky going on with iBooks 3. Anyways, I had to tweak my read-aloud clip starts in the smil. Where the word was not highlighting, I added a few milliseconds to the timing until the word started highlighting again. Not the most ideal solution, and not sure what exactly causes it because 90% of the words were just fine, but it seemed to fix the problem. Note prior to the problem happening, I had all my clip start timings = clip end timings for the previous word, so there were no gaps.

Retrieving BEx Query Results Area for use in Excel formulas

I run BEx queries in workbooks and then use Excel formulas ( mostly VLOOKUP(LookupValue, ResultsArea, ColumnReturned,) ) to retrieve certain information from the query ResultsArea.
****Problem:
Depending on the query parameters, the query "Results Area" is larger or smaller.
****Non-optimal solution:
One way to define the ever changing Excel range occupied by the Results Area is to create an Excel name as:
QueryRange = OFFSET(QueryFirstCell,,,COUNTA(OFFSET(Sheet1!$A:$A,,COLUMN(QueryFirstCell)-1,,)),COUNTA(OFFSET(Sheet1!$1:$1,ROW(QueryFirstCell)-1,,,)))
Then, the only input required is the top-left cell of the Results Area, which stays the same (unless the query definition changes).

What is the best way to refer to an ever-changing query Results Area in an Excel formula?

It is actually much easier than that.
Use a VBA statement like the following:
Set RptRng = ActiveCell.CurrentRegion
This will retrieve the data in the Results Area, no matter what the size is.

ANSWER: We did a LIVE payroll run for a period of 3 months.
QUESTION: Did you use t-code pc_payresults ?
ANSWER: Yes, we used the t-code pc_payresults but still it doesn't show the CRT results.
QUESTION: Did you check Processing Class 30 and 70 for your WTs ?
ANSWER: As per the process, we copied the SAP standard (model) Wage Type M010 to
our customized Wage Type, hence, hope that it wouldn't disturb any of the standard SAP settings.
However, we did check the Processing Class 30, but did not check the processing class 70.
Shall update you once PC 70 is also checked.
Please educate, if there are any particular specifications that need to be entered while checking
for our WTs in PC 30 & PC 70.

The only option that exists is to make unread messages Bold.

2.1.0.62: Exporting query results does not work if SQL has a join

I get an error message, when I try to export the following test case to any data format.
create table test1 (id number(2), text varchar2(5));
create table test2 (id number(2), text varchar2(5));
insert into test1 values (1,'test');
insert into test2 values (1,'test');
select t1.*
from
test1 t1,
test2 t2
where
t1.id=t2.id;
I try to translate my german error message to english:
"There are no valid columns for export available. Clob- or Blob-Columns are currently not supported"
I get this message, when I right click into the query result grid and select export and then any data format.
Hope that is not a double post but searching for export did not find results for 2.1.
The following SQL also produces the error:
select t1.* from test1 t1;
These SQLs can be exported though:
select * from test1 t1;
select t1.id from test1 t1;
I should have mentioned that I work with Windows XP and Oracle 10.2.0.4.

I've got the same problem here.
In my SQL Dev, I disabled the Autopopup code completion insight in SQL Worksheet. (Tools - Preferences - Code Editor - Code Completion - untick the checkbox). Restart SQL Dev. Tried to export a query.
The same error message appears.
My workaround is to re-enable the autopopup and restart SQL Dev.
The disabled autopopup code completion insight caused me these

Entity Attribute Existence Check - Query Result Parameter not possible ?

I already read the section of the ADF BC Developer Guide (9.6.2 Implementing an Efficient Existence Check).
That works and maybe is the best solution, however I am working with a group of Forms Developers which are much more comfortable with writing SQL statements.
Natural thing for them in this case was to define a declarative compare validator with the following Query Result:
select PROD_ID from Products where PROD_ID=:ProdId
where :ProdId is ServiceRequest.ProdId
Is this possible with ADF BC ?
Other possibility is to define a List Validator with the following Query Result:
select PROD_ID from Products
but this is not performant.
I know the programmatic approach is always possible, but to make migration easier for Forms developers into the ADF BC world, the declarative SQL option should be available.

This isn't possible out of the box in 10.1.3 since we don't support a mechanism to set the values of the bind variables. In 10.1.3, you would need to build a custom validation rule class (explained in section 26.9 "Implementing Custom Validation Rules") to make this declarative for others on your team.
I wouldn't recommend the list validator in 10.1.3 for anything but the most trivial uses. This is because it's current implementation retrieves all rows from the query, then does the attribute comparison in memory.
Among many, many other enhancements, we are greatly enhancing declarative business logic features of ADF Business Components for our 11g/Fusion release (the next major release), where this will be super-easy.

Query totals are not correct

Hi All,
I have a report reporting on some calculated key figures with the following layout:
Plant     Material     Balance1    Balance2   Balance3
Please note Balance1, Balance2 & Balance3 are all calculated key figures based on some calculations like the following:
Balance1 is defined
( CKFBal > CKFSBal ) * Balance1
The key figures CKFBal , CKKSBal is hidden in the report.
Now for the following example:
Plant         Material             Balance1
1000           ABCCCC            10
1000           ABCC231            20
Total                                    85
Here Balance1 is displaying only records meeting the criteria defined above but the totals do not reflect what is displayed it is appearing to be adding what is not in the report being displayed. I tried few normalisation options like Query Result, Report result nothing seems to be giving the right result.
Kindly please share your inputs how I can get the report to show the totals of what is displayed.

Hi,
in Formula properties you select the following
1) Under aggregation tab, select Exception Aggregation = Totals and Referecne Characterstic = Material. ( if you want to calcualte totals at lower level, i.e material, or you can select something else depends on your requirement)
2) Now goto Calcualtions tab and select Calcualted Result As = Totals.
3) Now go to Advanced tab and choose 'Use Result of this formula'
You an play around with these options in formula properties until you get the desired result.

Further, open your query in query designer, look at the query property, under the tab "rows/columns"
change the result position of rows to "Below", you can see the preview there itself.

WCP Framework 11g and SES 11g : search results are not secured

Hello,
We are integrating WCP 11.1.1.6 and SES 11.1.2.2
we have quite a stunning issue here where the search results returned by a WCP Framework application are not secured, ie secured contents are returned in the search results for unauthenticated users and for users who have no permission on these contents.
Though, the search results are well secured in the standard SES search interface (http://seshost/search/query/).
The main concern is about results coming from WCC.

we managed to integrate UCM and WCP with Document Service taskflows and it works fine, ie security is well propagated for the roles we want.
WCC/UCM and WCP authenticate users via WLS which is connected to an AD.
SES has its own identity management system which authenticates users directly to the AD.
We activated the SESCrawler component in WCC/UCM and the SES/UCM crawling process is OK.
We can search for UCM contents in SES without issue and anonymous/unauthenticated search in SES doesn't return results from non-public security groups, which is what we want.
WCP search is connected to SES (which is the default setting), eg from adf-config.xml:

So the problem is that anonymous/unauthenticated search in WCP does return results from non-public security groups, which is not what we want.
eg: access to the WCP app (don't logon)
run a search
in the search results, you can see contents which are not assigned in the public security group. Though, the WCC/UCM guest role doesn't have any permission on these SG.
I can't raise SR myself.
