Search results are not accurate

hi,
am facing a unique issue in SP 2013. Whenever we search for a search criteria the results returned is not accurate always. Every time we navigate across pages, the search results change which is not
a desired behavior. However we also noticed that the refiner panel does not change as well and it retains the old count which leads to inconsistent results when user selects a criteria from the refiner.
any pointers / helpful links regarding this issue, if any anyone has surfaced, is highly appreciated!

According to your post, my understanding is that search results are not accurate.
I recommend to run a full crawl and then to check whether the search results are correct.
If your incremental crawl is running, it may happen that, when you are viewing the data in the search result web part, the newly added content are not crawled yet.
So, after the content are updated, wait for some time.
Let your incremental crawl finish. Then view the results on the page.

WCP Framework 11g and SES 11g : search results are not secured

Hello,
We are integrating WCP 11.1.1.6 and SES 11.1.2.2
we have quite a stunning issue here where the search results returned by a WCP Framework application are not secured, ie secured contents are returned in the search results for unauthenticated users and for users who have no permission on these contents.
Though, the search results are well secured in the standard SES search interface (http://seshost/search/query/).
The main concern is about results coming from WCC.

Hi Jiri,
we managed to integrate UCM and WCP with Document Service taskflows and it works fine, ie security is well propagated for the roles we want.
WCC/UCM and WCP authenticate users via WLS which is connected to an AD.
SES has its own identity management system which authenticates users directly to the AD.
We activated the SESCrawler component in WCC/UCM and the SES/UCM crawling process is OK.
We can search for UCM contents in SES without issue and anonymous/unauthenticated search in SES doesn't return results from non-public security groups, which is what we want.
WCP search is connected to SES (which is the default setting), eg from adf-config.xml:

So the problem is that anonymous/unauthenticated search in WCP does return results from non-public security groups, which is not what we want.
eg: access to the WCP app (don't logon)
run a search
in the search results, you can see contents which are not assigned in the public security group. Though, the WCC/UCM guest role doesn't have any permission on these SG.
I can't raise SR myself.

Search criteria is retained but search results are not retained

Hi ,
I have a search screen ( resultBased Search). On Click of go , it lists out all the records which are matching the criteria.
In this results table , I have single selection. User can select one record and view the details of those records. But if I cancel the detail screen it is coming back to the search screen with all the search criteria entered . But in results table only the selected record is available and no other records. I am retaining the AM during navigation.
I am using the same vo for results table and viewing the details.
For example, I have a project VO . On search , it will list out all the Project List and each row belongs to a Project VO.
On select , I am taking the selected Project VO and display insite details.
Can anyone help me on this.

That is why. To navigate to the Page, you are finding a unique record and viewing/updating the row. Now once you navigate back to the Search Page, that single row which resides in the VO is rendered.
To resolve this either you have two VOs (may be almost similar queries) for Search and the Page, or you can try requerying the VO once you navigate to the search Page. Decide based on your own requirements.

Mail search results are not in chronological order.

when I search for mail the results in iOS7 aren't in chronological order anymore. Both on my iphone 5 and my iPad 2.

Forwarding Rates are not accurate

Hi,
Yesterday I activated forwarding calls, and I have two questions :
Rates to United Stats is 2.3¢/min
and when I received calls they charged me $0.8 per min !!!!!!!!!!!!

couples of my friends reported that after skype starts ringing for few seconds, It doesn't forward their call to my phone properly !!! It stops ringing when It supposedly forwarding their call to me !!!

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Safari troubleshooting needed. All search results are grayed out preventing me from clicking anything on the page.

Safari Problem: After doing a search using all three of the search engines the search results are grayed out not allowing me to click on anything on the page. I also can't use the buttons to the left of the search box. Please help.

See if Apple allows iweb to create the pages in HTML format and ask how to make those changes.
I spend more then 1 hour on the phone with them but we didn't find the solution...

The part of iWeb pages that give the search engines problem is the navbar. That's javascript based. One way to get around that is to create another blank page in the site that's not included in the navbar.
Add a text based navbar in that page with just the other pages in the site.
Also you can use that page for creating the sitemap for Google at Create your Google Sitemap Online - XML Sitemaps Generator.
Have you let Google know your site exists? This website describes how to get it recognized: Get your iWeb website found in search engines like Google Yahoo MSN and Bing.

Search boxes are not displaying properly on sites (eztv and isohunt for example) the search buttons are there, the imput boxes are not.

I have been noticing on various sites that search boxes are not being displayed, seems to be happening on torrent sites but it could be more widespread. I have disabled all add ons, running Firefox 4 beta on Windows 7 x64. I have linked some screen captures

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

ANSWER: We did a LIVE payroll run for a period of 3 months.

ANSWER: Yes, we used the t-code pc_payresults but still it doesn't show the CRT results.
QUESTION: Did you check Processing Class 30 and 70 for your WTs ?
ANSWER: As per the process, we copied the SAP standard (model) Wage Type M010 to
our customized Wage Type, hence, hope that it wouldn't disturb any of the standard SAP settings.
However, we did check the Processing Class 30, but did not check the processing class 70.
Shall update you once PC 70 is also checked.
Please educate, if there are any particular specifications that need to be entered while checking
for our WTs in PC 30 & PC 70.

When i print out a color photo the colors are not accurate

I have a new envy110 series CQ811A. I have a windows 7 64-bit laptop. There are no error messages and the Envy works great but when i print a picture off of a web site the colors are not accurate and i mean none of them. i have returned one printer already but this one is doing the same thing. i really like this printer but if it won't print the colors correctly i don't know what i will do. I also have a HP C4280 All In One Photo Smart and whatever is printed off the colors are great it just is not wireless. I have tried everything and nothing helps. Is there a solution

   Sorry to hear it's not printing web pages so well.
I do have a suggestion, that may or may not align with the way your are used to printing web pages; HP has a new and improved application for printing web page content; HP Smart Print.
   It's supported on IE (most versions) and can do some neat tricks: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/partner/microsoft/bing-bar-for-hp/smart-print.html
There are also other potential 'tweaks' you can try in the [Printing Preferences] / [Advanced]: Image Color Managment; You might try setting it from 'ICM Handled by Host System' (default) to 'ICM Handled by Printer' or even 'ICM Disabled'.
   Again, this is merely a potential way to check to see if this helps get those colors right; and remember your settings before you change them.

Query results are not highlighted ?

I have made CO query "Cost Center", when i expand hierachy i my sumary results are not highlighted.
I have the same query for "Cost Elements" an everything is ok, summary results are highlighted.
Any idea what is wrong ?

On each level of hierarchy there are results, but no highlight on them.

in "cost elements" on screens there is "yellow" highlight
but in "cost center" there is NO highlight.

HT202570 iPhone map navigation are not accurate compared to the actual location

The navigation arrow is always late compared to the actual location. its late around 3 to 4 seconds and I have tried on the two different iPhones that with the same result I reset location settings I reset the phone but no luck.
does anybody have the same problem and any ideas how to resolve them?

The co-ordinates you posted are not very accurate (hopefully you edited them), there probably should be more digits after the decimal point for greater accuracy.
It seems like Apple Maps can search for Lat/Long but is unable to show it for a dropped pin. I'd suggest you get another app from the store…

It's also worth noting the location services doesn't just use GPS it also uses wifi & cellular towers to get a rough location in situations where GPS is not available (like indoors). GPS also takes a while to get a true lock, it can be upto 12.5 minutes because go how the satellites work. You will need to maintain a clear view of the sky for long enough to get accurate values.

P.S. Google maps in a desktop browser will show lat & long values, just be aware that there are different co-ordinate systems too - if things don't work make sure you are using the correct one

Links in search results do not open new tabs.

I'm missing something here and in other threads on this subject. I used to be able to search in the search bar, using google, for instance, and a new tab would open with the search results. Then if I left clicked on a link within the search results another new tab would open and switch to the linked page.
I don't remember how that was set up, but I know I didn't have to go into about:config or install a special add-on for that. I think it was set up in the tab mix plus add-on.
I have no problem with the search results opening a new tab, it's that I now have to middle-click on a link or right-click + click on "open in new tab".
What changed here and why? My old method worked in Ver. 21, it Changed in Ver. 22.
It seems like all these "updates" remove stuff we used to have with no notice and then come up with more finger clicks and config edits to do what was straight forward before.
