QUERY - selection fields.

Hi,
I create QUREY for QM notification, with info set - logical database QNQ.
In the selection fields i ask for WORK CENTER and CODINIG, but i have no browser for those fields.
thank you
Aviva.

Hi Aviva ,
No browser means are you not getting a screen with WORK CENTER and CODINIG as selection fields if this is the case .
Then In Query when you move to the Basic Data it will ask for which are selection fields in that tick the checkbox and then it will ask for which fields you want on screen please tick this will move the fields on the screen and will be displayed .
Please reward if useful.

  • ABAP Query - Selection fields

    Hello all,
I understand that SAP automatically generates an ABAP program for every ABAP Query wherein the selection fields are connected by an "AND" statement within the WHERE clause of the actual SELECT statement.
Is there a way to control this WHERE clause in such a way that we can use "OR" operators as well to connect some selection fields?
    Thanks in advance,
    John

    Hi, Everyone .
    We can do that .
At selection-screen output (code section 13), set "1" to the field REQUIED by using MODIFY SCREEN code .
(You can get Dynpro number by F1 key or T-cd SE51 )

    Hi All,
    Creating a query, for the selection field 'KNB1-ZWELS' a match-code isn't available.

    Hi,

  • Adhoc query custom field selection

    Hi Experts,
In adhoc query, we have added a custom field and we find that it is giving correct output.  However, we want to make the "selection" box appear and we don't know how to do it.  Would you have instructions?
If we add standard/ready-made fields to a field group, both the selection and output boxes are already available but if we copy the standard to make a custom field, only the output box is available.

    Hi,
Where do we find this customizing field we need to select? We have tried accessing sq01 and changed a query we have created. We clicked on the basic list button and checked the checkboxes for list field and selection field.  When we got to infoset query, the selection checkbox is still missing.  Are we checking the right path?  The infoset is also missing that checkbox.
We also got a suggestion here that maybe the problem is on the "extras" tab in SQ02 - that our field should have an entry there.

  • I need use conditions in the select fields of a query.

    Hello,
Is possible, that I can have conditions in the select fields of a query? In a invoice when the type is cancellation I want to put *-1 to price and if is other type the price is normally.
    If VBRK.FKART = 'S1' THEN KWERT*-1 else KWERT .
    Thank you very much.

    you can do two things:
    1. select the data into internal table and loop through the internal table and do the necessary changes
    SELECT fkart kwert
    FROM vbrk
    INTO TABLE itab
    WHERE ...
    LOOP AT itab.
    IF itab-fkart EQ 'S1'.
    itab-kwert = itab-kwert * -1 .
    MODIFY itab.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    2. use select-endselect and change the data acc. to your needs inbetween and append the internal table.
    SELECT fkart kwert
    FROM vbrk
    INTO wa
    WHERE ...
    IF wa-fkart EQ 'S1'.
    wa-kwert = wa-kwert * -1 .
    ENDIF.
    APPEND wa TO itab.
    ENDSELECT.
(The first approach is probably faster.)

  • F4 search-help in infoset query selection-screen fields

    Hi all,
I created an infoset, and it's corresponding query, and now I need to associate F4 search-help in two of the selection-screen fields. Since they don't have any reference field associated (they are SAP standard table fields), there are no possible values available to select.
    How can I do this?
I have already tried to use the "AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT" in the infoset, but I'm not able to do that. When I try to use the select-options generated by the query (SP$00013 and SP$00014) I have a syntax error with "Field not known".
Can you help me? I never done this before, so I really don't have a guess.
    Thanks in advance.
    Beste regards,
    Sónia Gonçalves

    Hi all,
I have found thread  that helped me a lot in this issue.
I just have one more doubt: I created the selection criterion and I can already see it in the query selection-screen, but it's appearing in the top of the selection-screen, in a different area called "General data selections".
Isn't it possible to include it in the "Report-specific selctions"?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,

  • ABAP Query (SQ01) Compare bewteen 2 selected fields

Hello, In ABAP Query has selected fields (say) Fld1 Fld2 Fld3...  I need to output / show only those records where Fld1 not equal to Fld3. Any ideas ?? Both the fields are from the same table in a functional area.
    Thank You,
    Deb

    Hi,
    Welcome to SDN.
This is not possible exactly with ABAP Query but can be easily done by ADHOC query. Using Set operation A-B.
Check the links for ADHOC Query -

  • Query Selection screen field validatoin

I am testing a query using the RSRT2 transaction and have a query selection screen whose fields i want to create custom validations for. ( which should trigger when check or execute is pressed )
How can this be achieved ?
I tried looking for exits but did not find a relevant one.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
You need to write a routine in SMOD for selection screen validations.
It will come in i_step = 3. please refer foll code as example:
The code example is to check whether date is less than or equal to current date. If user enters future date it pop ups saying enter date less than or equal to current date.
    DATA:  LI_VAR like rrrangeexit,
           wa_t_var_range like LI_VAR,
           count type i value 0.
    IF i_s_rkb1d-infocube EQ 'CUBE1' or
       i_s_rkb1d-infocube EQ 'CUBE2'.
Check whether only one of date variable is entered in variable screen.
    IF I_STEP = 3.
Read table i_t_var_range into wa_t_var_range with key vnam = 'VARDATE'.
          if wa_t_var_range-low > sy-datum.
            CALL FUNCTION 'RRMS_MESSAGE_HANDLING'
              EXPORTING
                I_CLASS  = 'RSBBS'
                I_TYPE   = 'E'
                I_NUMBER = '000'
I_MSGV1  = 'Enter date less than or equal to current date'.
            raise again.
          endif.
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.

  • Order of the selection fields in SAP QUERY

    Hello All,
How can we set the order of the selection fields in SAP QUERY!
    Regards!
    Ashish

    Hi,
You can go into infoset and change the order.
Or you can select 1 by 1 in the same order, you want to display.

  • Query selection criteria - changing description field..?

    Hi Experts,
i want to change description filed in user query selection criteria form..
    i have 3 fileds  :
docdate - this filed i want to chage 'Document First'
docdate - This filed i want to change 'Document Last'
    name -
    my problem: screenshot

The system always asks with the description of the field you refer to with the parameter variable in the select statement.
I sometimes defined a UDT only for getting the appropriate title in the parameter entering window. The table has no data; I used it only for its field names.
(The parameter request can be placed inside a comment and the entered value is used setting an SQL variable like this:
    declare @d datetime
    /*select t.createdate from ordr t where t.createdate=[%0]*/
    set @d=[%0]
This SQL variable can be used later in the real query.)
(But then you loose the possibility to choose from the u2018List of existing valuesu2019

  • Infoset Query- F4 help missing for few selection fields

    Dear Experts,
While creating Infoset/ Quick view queries, I find few fields of the selection screen are not having F4 help.
How this happens and How to correct this?
    Regards
    Jogeswara Rao

    Jogeswara Rao,
In case when the reference table field doesn't contain a match code / Search help,You should be assign Match code object to the selection field while defining the same. When you define the selection criteria in the info sets, use the "Extras" field there to assign a specific match code for the work center object . (In your case MATCHCODE OBJECT CRAM. CRAM is the search help for work center field).
