Question in Tracing

Hi All,
I have a rename task workflow for one of the processes, which renames the task. However with the new task, length is more than 128 characters due to which the request is not moving further and ending with an error
XPRESS exception: Can't call method rename object on class com.waveset.server.InternalSession com.waveset.InvalidArgumentName "TASKNAME" is to long exceeds maximum name length of 128
I tried tracing the WF to see if i get more information but that didnt help. I tried changing the column length in the DB where this task is stored, that didnt help either.
Is there any other way i can trace this to find where it is coming from? I was trying to find logconfig.xml fileto see if trace setting can be changed. However, i'm unable to find that xml file in weblogic. I used to be able to find it in tomcat.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks,

Is your TaskInstance still available? Generally, when I get an exception like that, I can pull up the TaskInstance and follow through it although sometimes that will suggest a different answer than where the problem actually occurred.. Also, you may want to add code similar to below to display the values through the workflow. When it fails, you may still see the task and the display.

  • Complicated easy question - ray tracing

    Hello,
i am working currently on one project - i have an optical system (some prisms, some lenses etc) and i want to make a VI to calculate propagation of a light ray - something like ray tracing.
I know that labview is not the perfect platform to deal with this issue, however i still would like to try.
My problem is as following: i want to calculate the propagation of a ray through a lens. I have the ray with some coordinate (y=const) and a plano convex lens - the front of a lens is a piece of a sphere. To calculate the propagation (using snell law) I have to find an angle between the ray and the line which is tangent to this lens-sphere in the point where my light beam hits the lens.
My procedure (on the piece of paper):
1.i know the coordinates of a center of a sphere (let's take (0,0)) and its radius r (x^2+y^2=r^2). I know the value of y=y_0 for which the ray enters the lens.
then i can calculate the x_0: x_0^2+y_0^2=r^2. Now i know the point where light enters the lens (x_0,y_0)
2.then just the usual procedure of finding equation for a line tangent to sphere (y=a*x+b):
i put y_0 and x_0 to this equation:
    y_0=a*x_0+b
and i can remove one unknown value (for example b): y=a*(x-y_0)+x_0
3.then i put such equation into the equation for sphere (x^2+y^2=r^2) and this is the quadratic equation which has only one unknown value x and one free parameter: a.
4.beacause i want to have tangent line, so it should have only one common point with sphere - so the quadratic equation should have determinant equal to zero (only one solution for x). This gives me an equation for a. I should find the value of a which satisfy this equation and then i know this tangent line and have the solution! uf....
Unfortunately i still didn't find a solution to implement this in labview (and i'm motivated beacuse most of the work for this project is already done). I was trying with the formula parsing and so on, but i didn't succeeded.
I will be really grateful for any hints or help!
    Solved!

    helmik,
LabVIEW does not do symbolic math.  Once you have the equations solved on paper or reduced to a set which can be solved numerically, tehn you can program it in LV.
When I look at your math in the first post, I see that in (3) you describe an equation in x and a. However, this is not a quadratic equation but a fourth order polynomial with terms like a^2*x^2 and 2*a^2*x*y_0. So this is not so easily solved.
Is not the tangent to the sphere at right angles to the radius at that point? The angle of the radius can be calculated from x_0 and y_0 and the center of the sphere. Then add 90 degrees. One arctangent and no complicated equations.

  • Question in tracing wccp traffic

    hi ,
my question is how to trace the wccp traffic in" upload and dowload "   "from and to "   clients .
    assume the topology below :
we have router with 4  interfaces :
here is the config of router with wccp :
    ============================================================
    GI0/1========>ip wccp 80 redirect in
    GI0/4========>ip wccp redirect exclude in
    GI0/3========>ip wccp 90 redirect in
and in the gloabl config of the router we have :
    #ip access-list ex cache80
    #permit tcp 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 any eq 80
    #ip access-list ex cache90
    #permit tcp any 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255
    #ip wccp 80 redirect-list cache80
    i#p wccp 90 redirect-list cache90
    ======================================================
my question is , how to trace the http trafic from client to internet .
i will post my understanding  and wish to correct me if im not correct .
when clinet make http request , it enter the interface Gi01
then it matched by the acl redirect cache80 ,
then it will be redirected to the interface where cache seerver of service 80 exist , so it will go to interface GI0/4.
the cache server will see if the request cache before or not .
to here , its clear ,
but im understanding wt will come next
plz i wish somebody clarify what is comming next .
    aslo another question ,
the interface GI0/2 has no relation to cache , does it require any wccp config under interface config "Gi0/2 " ???
    wish my best regards

I will try to explaing what happen next.
once traffic is redirected to cache-engine, and cache enigne has no content locally cached, it will forward the request to orignal server. Now there are two ways of doing that, one by intiating connection using its own IP, second spoofing orignal client IP and intiating backend connection using that.
For case 1, as conection is intiated by CE only, so return traffic will be destined to it.
For case 2, return traffic from server will be destined to orignal client thats why need redirection, so wccp service 90 come in picutre [hoping gig0/3 is our WAN interface].
Also note that you have used ip wccp redirect exclude in, for CE facing interface. With configuration you are using i.e redirection in "IN" direction, we do not need that command.
Cannot open your diagram, so not able to answer your question on interface gig0/2

  • A question about tracing users' connections

    Dear all,
I would like to know, whether there is a report in SAP
providing information about users connection. What we
are looking for in terms of information is:
    1) How many times each user connected to the system?
(for example how many times during each day or each week)
    2) How long each session lasted?
    3) What standard transactions did each user execute during
    each connection?
Is there any report providing such information?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind Regards,
    Dariyoosh

    Hi Dariyoosh,
    1) How many times each user connected to the system?
SM20 (Information security audit logs ) In USER Statistics and Terminal statistics , you can get enough information .
    ST03N
In ST03N (Workload distirbution monitor ) you can  find ,what is the workload of individual users and which actions users performed ?
    2) How long each session lasted?
In  tcode - SM20,you can find  detaild activites about users in Users statistics  field . Secondly For transcation details ,Please select Transactions statisitcs field .It
    will  provide  you enough information
AL08 Shows you Tcodes using by user time ,external & internalsessions  .Also  with tcode  SM04  You can find list of users .There is USER TAB on top left hand side
You can click on that and select  " Techincal Information , you will get informatoin   STATE , MODES ,MEMORY  COnsumption etc .
    3) What standard transactions did each user execute during
    each connection?
    Pleae use these tcodes :SM20, SM04(users overview) , AL08
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind Regards,

  • For anyone who knows about JVM and MRJ

I have built an application that runs as expected on Mac OS X. Take the same program and run it on OS 9 (after using MRJAppBuilder) and the errors start. I have included the error below, I never use Vector.toString() so I am wondering if this may be in my JDBC drivers code, or a problem with Apple's MRJ? The code in Question I traced from the EventHandlers actionPerformed method which calls a fetch() method in our Connector class which uses JDBC driver to access the database. I caught a java.lang.NullPointerException with a simple system.out to tell me it was caught and the same error is still thrown on OS 9 so I am wondering if it could be JDBC or MRJ?

    SLES or SUSE?
Note that from Oracle's prespective, SuSE 'Pro' is similar to Fedora ... and is not certified by Oracle. These distros are: geared toward advancing new capabilities and features very quickly; are not supported by a corporation on a 24x7 basis; and are not stable for the 18-24 months that a typical risk-adverse corporation would want.
This does not mean SUSE won't work. Just means that Oracle will not provide support, patches, or fixes if the problem (or support question) is traced to the OS.

  • Ray Tracing question

    Hi all,
In Java2D the tracing algorithm can handle effectively primitive shapes, like cubes, spheres etc, mapping the shapes from 3D to 2D. So we can, for example, rotate the whole "scene" and have a 3D illusion of the world. But what about images? The ray tracing algorithm uses the 3D coordinates system, so how can we handle the 2D representation of an image? I know that in Java3D there are special Loaders that load a description of an image and tranform it appropriately in the 3D world. Is there any way to have a 3D representation of an image in Java2D?
    Thanks

  • Drawing question - create an outline, or tracing

I have an image that I scanned and dropped into a Pages document.
I want to outline it so that I can manipulate the image.
Anyone know how I can achieve this?

You get an application designed to do that.
    You may look at :

  • Questions about message logging and topic TTL

We're in the final stages of testing our application. Basically a producer application is sending small, non-persistent messages once every 10 seconds and once every second to an auto-created topic. The consumer application(s) listening are then doing data display of this 1 second and 10 second data.
Testing the client we noticed it complained of a single 10 second message not being received. We verified that the message was sent by the producer. My question is whether there is a logging setting on the IMQ server that could be used to log the receipt and delivery of every message, perhaps by JMSMessageID to a particular topic? The only idea we could think of is to use 'imqcmd metrics' to track the number of messages in/out, but this isn't as useful for us.
Any ideas you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

imqbrokerd does not support tracing at this level, so metrics is probably the best approach for now.
If a subscriber is not getting a message it is usually because of one of the following:
    1. The message is expiring. If you are using message expiration make sure the clocks are synchronized between the clients and the server. imqbrokerd will log a message when it has expired messages.
    2. The subscriber was down when the message was produced (and it is not a durable subscriber).
    3. You have set a size limit on the destination or system wide that is resulting in messages being shedded as specified by the limit behavior.
With non-persistent messages you can get an additional level of reliability by setting the following ConnectionFactory property to true:
ConnectionConfiguration.imqAckOnProducethis adds a handshake between the server and client when a message is sent and provides a mechanism for imqbrokerd to propogate additional message production errors back to the client.

  • Using the New Mac Pro (can) - AE will not let me use Race Traced 3-D

Using the New Mac Pro (can) - AE will not let me use Race Traced 3-D
Hi, I'm using the new Mac Pro
    2.7 GHz 12-core Intel Xeon E5
    64 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
    AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB
    OSX 10.9.2
    I'm using After Effects 12.2.1.5
When I attempt to invoke the race trace 3D renderer in a comp, I get this error
"After Effects Error: Ray-traced 3D: Out of paged mapped memory for ray tracer. Your project may exceed GPU limits. Try closing other applications. Try updating the CUDA driver. (5070::2)"
My preferences are set to use the CPU for Raytraced 3D since I do not have an Nvidia card.
So, obviously there is an issue here in that it thinks I have an Nvidia card.
I know (or assume I know) the cause for this is that when I set up this machine, I used Apple's migration assistant to move most of my data over from the previous gen Mac Pro which DID have a CUDA card.
So my question is, what files can I delete/reset to cause After Effects to no longer look for CUDA files that do not exist on this machine?
I do not have the CUDA control panel in System Prefs, so THAT did not carry over.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

    > I know (or assume I know) the cause for this is that when I set up this machine, I used Apple's migration assistant to move most of my data over from the previous gen Mac Pro which DID have a CUDA card.
Ugh. That causes so many problems.
The first thing to try is deleting the CUDA frameworks from your Mac: Look in /Library/Frameworks for the CUDA.Framework and get rid of it.

  • XMLType column based on XML Schema: several questions

    Hi,
I've a table on an oracle db version 10.1.0.4 where I stage the xml files containing orders created on a third party's system using BizTalk.
Although the storage I opted for is based on an XML Schema, defined by this third-party, I am facing big perfomance issues with files bigger than a few hundreds of kBs.
For instance, a 32Mb file takes more than 2 hours to be processed.
Now, after reading other threads in this forum and the documentation, my understanding of the problem is that the whole issue is with the correct indexing of the nested tables.

When I registered the XMLSchema, the following types and tables were automatically created and you can see the hierarchy below:
(by the way, I could not find any xdb_utilities.printNestedTables mentioned elsewhere)
    XML_ORDERS
    |_PickData381_T
    |___ProdRun382_T

    |_______PickWave383_T
    |_________Customer387_COLL
    |___________Customer384_T
    |_____________InvOrder386_COLL
These objects are then used in the following nested tables:

Note that I cancelled this operation before it was over so I imagine that these figures refer to the statistics as of the time when the operation was interrupted.
So, here are finally my questions.
In order to create the constraints on the nested tables as shown in other threads, do I need to drop the existing xml_orders table and ancillary object types and recreate them or is there a way to add such constraints using the existing system generated object names?
Secondly, the xml_orders table may contain severale documents, not just one and his current primary key is the column ID. So, in order to uniquely identify the deepest element in the xml document, I need first to select the relevant document by means of the id column.
Would it be better to create the indexes containing this id column together with the nested_table_id and array_index?
    Thanks for you help.
    Flavio
PS: I wrote a 10 lines xsl transformation that I passed on to Saxon together with the 32Mb file. It took less than 1 minute to produce a flat file that was loaded almost instantly by SQL*Loader. So, what I am looking for is a procedure loading this stuff in less than 2 minutes or possibly less.

    Does the following help

  • Questions in adapters??

    please answer the following questions
    1) In BPM Async-Sync bridge, does the QOS change??
    2) What is logging / trace? List 4 ways to enable logging / trace?
    3) What are the 4 functions does adapter framework provide?
    4) If communications with JDBC using XML format, what
are 4 actions you could do?
    5) How does PCK and adapter framework engine differ?
    thanks
    gabriel

    hi
    1) In BPM Async-Sync bridge, the QOS change and we assume it to be worst case always ie BE
    2) The Logging API lets you collect all info/error/debug information in a central trace file that can be viewed on the client or sent to the server for inspection by the administrator. With the logging information at hand, most application and framework problems can be analysed remotely by system administrators without them having physical access to the device.
Tracing of info/error/debug information of different trace levels.
Should be used by EVERY application. The framework also makes extensive use of logging, esp. during synchronization and deployment
Easy handling for end-users: trace file can be displayed locally or be sent to the WebAS on next synchronization for further inspection by the administrator.
Broad method signature to makes tracing easy in all problem situations (for example, easy logging of Java exceptions)

  • Tracing Captivate 4 variables in Flash CS4 using AS3

Hello. I've googled this 9 ways to Sunday and can't find an answer. I'm hoping one of you can help.
I have a very simple Captivate 4 quiz with one question. I embed the Captivate SWF file in a Flash file, which plays fine. However I am struggling with tracing one of the Captivate variables in the Flash file using AS3.
All I want is for Flash to read the Captivate variables so I can continue developing my quiz in Flash (building additional functionality Captivate does not provide).
The variable I'm attempting to trace is cpInfoAuthor.
    I've attempted:
    trace(root.cpInfoAuthor);
    trace(root.movie.cpInfoAuthor);
    var cpAuthor = MovieClip(root).cpInfoAuthor;
All of the above examples error out: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
Captivate preferences are set to publish in AS3.
    Anyone with an explanation?
    Be splendid, Jodie.

    Hi Jodie,
I'm not exactly 100% proficient in AS3 but to me it looks like your statements are wrong.
Since you are loading your Captivate SWF into a Flash SWF then (root) actually refers to your Flash SWF. I guess that you are loading your Captivate SWF into a movieclip on your Flash stage and that movieclip has an instance name,
    You would therefore need to grab the variables like var cpAuthor = yourLoaderMovieClip.cpInfoAuthor;
See if that doesn't do the trick for you.

  • SOAP adapter: port, logging/tracing, http/https

    Hi,
    several questions concerning SOAP adapter:
    SAP XI 3.0 SP19 used.
    <b>Scenario 1:</b>
    SOAP request adressing J2EE port
    http://host:8000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=Partner:Service:SOAPSenderChannel
    <b>Scenario 2:</b>
    SOAP request adressing ABAP port
    http://host:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=Partner:Service:SOAPSenderChannel
    <b>Question 1:</b>
What happens with a SOAP request adressed to the ABAP port?
Obviously it is forwarded to the J2EE port but where is this forwarding function documented
and is it allowed in every case to send SOAP messages to ABAP port?
    <b>Question 2:</b>
What logging and tracing functionalities do i have in both scenarios before the message enters (before RWB)?
E.g. where can i see unsuccessful requests (e.g. if there is mistyping in SenderChannel).
Then it not visible in Runtime Workbench but whereelse?
If the ABAP port is adressed i see something in SMICM trace file, but very cryptic and not conclusive.
Do you know further trace/log files for both scenarios (Visual Admin?) ?
    <b>Question 3:</b>
What is the difference if https is used concerning logs and traces?
Do i have more or less possibilities?
Thank you very much in advance for comments.
    Michael

    Hi
The URL sent to the ABAP port and the J2EE port are different.
The URL to the ABAP port is documented in this blog by Stefan,
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/09/21/using-the-soap-inbound-channel-of-the-integration-engine
    http://<server>:<ABAP-port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=<YourService>&Interface=<YourNamespace>%5E<YourInterface>
Answering question 1 --> As the URL are different, the Request in case of the ABAP stack hits the Integration Engine directly - into the pipeline of XI and bypassed the Adapter Engine competely.
As stefan's blog states - you cannot post multipart SOAP request to the IE directly.
Question 2  - If the URL is incorrect, if the request hits XI then you will have the log in XI  ( in MONI in case of ABAP port ) and in RWB -Message Monitroing ( in case of J2EE port)
