Quotation maintenance with infor record update field

Hi experts
When we use me47 to maintain the quotation , it has one field infor update field, Which we could set it as A,B,C. then the infor record will be updated.
May I check where I could maintain the A,B,C?  We hope to set C update without plant as defalut content.
Please help give advice how to setup this ?
Thanks
ALice

Hi
Thanks a lot . When I use me47 to maintain one quotation, Then I click the item,
it will go to item screen,
There is one field - Update infor record under quotation data tab, which has A,B,C three choice.
I attached the description, I hope to know where to maintain this A,B,C, If I could set C as defalut one ?
Thanks
Alice
Indicator: Update Info Record
Determines whether:
The purchasing info record for this vendor and material is to refer to this PO item, and
The item is to be valid for the entire purchasing organization or just for the plant.
Use
The indicator determines which prices and conditions are suggested in future PO items.
Prices and conditions can apply to an entire purchasing organization or to a single plant within a purchasing organization.
For example, if you create a purchase order for a plant for which an info record has been defined at plant level, the purchase order is based on the conditions in the plant info record and not on the conditions that apply to the purchasing organization.
Procedure
Enter the relevant plant key:
A
Updating of the document number is effected at plant level as long as there is a purchasing info record at plant level. Otherwise the document number is updated at purchasing organization level.
B
Updating is effected at plant level if plant conditions are allowed for the plant.
C
Updating is effected without plant data if plant conditions are not necessary for the plant.
Dependencies
The level at which updating of the document number may be effected is defined for each plant.

  • Table maintenance with insert records in SM30

    Hi Sapall.
here i have just got a tricky situation.
there is a Z table  which already been created by some body and when i insert a new record into it and then if  i click on save, it was asking me the  new transport requests but now the user dont want the table to ask forthe new   tranport request.
can any body help me in this.
    Regards.
    Varma.

    Hello Vinod,
For Customizing table we need the TR for entry maintenance.
Try creating a customizing table, create the TMG & check if it is asking for TR when saving entries ? It WONT !!!
In the TMG for the table you will find a block called "Recording Routine", select "Standard Recording Routine". This will ensure that a TR is asked everytime you save a record.
FYI, based on the delivery class (C or A) either a Customising Request or a Workbench Request will be asked when saving entries.
@OP: In the TMG of the table, check the "No, or User Recording Routine" button. It wont ask for TR anymore.

  • VSAM file with multiple record layouts (COBOL REDEFINES)

Hi. We're using Tuxedo 12c to migrate a COBOL/CICS/VSAM application from MVS to Solaris/Oracle 11gR2.
We have a few VSAM files with record layouts that start with a record-type field, and based on that, the remainder of the record layout varies based on COBOL copybooks using REDEFINES. We can't be the first to have this issue, and am wondering if there's a best-practice solution. Our initial thought is that each record type should become a separate database table, but if we need to do this manually, we'll also need to modify the post-converted code manually. I'm hoping there's a better way.
    Thanks.

You are correct; you are not the first person to do this. There are a number of different strategies depending upon what you are trying to accomplish. First, is your objective to leave the COBOL/CICS/VSAM as is? If so, which COBOL compiler do you intend to use? Are you using Tuxedo ART Workbench? Are you aware that you have the option of leaving the VSAM datasets as VSAM on the target platform? If you want to convert VSAM to Oracle DB tables, you can create a separate table for each record type as you suggested or you can treat the entire record as a blob and let the copyfile sort it out once the data is returned to the program. Of course with this approach you will not realize the benefits Oracle DB as an RDBMS. Please provide me some additional context and I will make some best practices suggestions.
You can get some insight on Tuxedo ART Workbench at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18050_01/artwb/docs11gr1/wbuser/FileToOracle.html

  • Info Record Update at Quotation level

    Dear All,
I want to update purchasing info record at the time of quotation maintenance. The field 'Info update' is available to update the same. For that system gives 4 options.
' ' The info record is not updated.
'A' If an info record exists at plant level, it is updated. Otherwise an info record at purchasing organization level is updated.
'B' If plant conditions are allowed for the plant, an info record at plant level is updated.
'C' If plant conditions are not necessary for the plant, an info record at purchasing organization level is updated.
Is it possible to default value 'A' for info update field during quotation maintenance?
    Nikhil Ankalikar

you can use default value for buyer option in img there u can give the default value and it will be helpful in achiving your requirement
(i am not sure of path but it is there in purchasing after getting the exact path i will give it to you)
u can get this in img>mm>purchasing>enviormental data

  • Mapping problem with compressed key update record

    Hi, could you please advise?
    I'm getting the following problem:
About a week ago replicat abened with "Error in mapping" error. I found in discard file some record looking like:
    filed1 = NULL
    field2 =
    field3 =
    field4 =
    field5 =
    datefield = -04-09 00:00:00
    field6 =
    field8 =
    field9 = NULL
    field10 =
    Where filed9 = @GETENV("GGHEADER", "COMMITTIMESTAM"), field10 = = @GETENV("GGHEADER", "COMMITTIMESTAM"), others are table fields mapped by USEDEFAULTS
So I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record at 2012-06-01 15:44
I guess I need to mention that extract failed in 5 minuts before it with: VAM function VAMRead returned unexpected result: error 600 - VAM Client Report <[CFileInfo::Read] Timeout expired after 10 retries with 1000 ms delay, waiting to read transaction log or backup files. To increase the number of retries, use SETENV (GGS_CacheRetryCount = n) in Extract parameter file. To control retry delay time, use SETENV (GGS_CacheRetryDelay = n). handle: 0000000000000398 ReadFile GetLastError:997 Wait GetLastError:997>.
I don't know if it has ther same source as data corruption, could you tell me if it is?
Well, I created new extract, starting 2012-06-01 15:30 to check if there was something with extract at the time, but got the same error.
If I run extract beging at 15:52 it starts and works.
But well, I got another one today. Data didn't look that bad, but yet one column came with null value:( And I'm using it as a key column, so I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record again:(
I'm replicating from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle 11g.
I'm actually using NOCOMPRESSUPDATES in Extract.
CDC is enabled for all tables replicated. The only thing is that it is enabled not by ADD TRANDATA command, but by SQL Server sys.sp_cdc_enable_table, does it matter?
Could you please advise why does it happen?

Well, the problem begins somewhere in extract or before extract, may be in transaction log, I don't know:(

    Regards,
    Manish

The SCRP_CODE column has a NOT NULL constraint. The ORA-01407 error is telling you that you cannot update or set a value for this column to null because of the constraint. This has absolutely nothing to do with an index. You can use a marker/sentinel value in lieu of using NULL. For a numeric field, where everything is positive, a negative value (-1) can be decoded as meaning null. For a character field, a code such as NA can represent NULL.
This also has nothing to do (directly) with GoldenGate failing because of this error. The underlying SQL statement will fail everywhere, regardless of the tool or application. It is not a case of failing only in GoldenGate.

  • PHP Show if hides update fields, but they get overwritten with an empty string

I have an issue with a page where some update fields are displayed depending on who is logged, for example:
    <?php if ($row_Users['UserID']=="101"){ ?>
    <input <?php if (!(strcmp($row_lodges['101_finalist'],"Yes"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";} ?> type="checkbox" name="101_finalist"  value="Yes"/>
    <input type="text" class="rankfield" name="101_rank" value="<?php echo($row_lodges['101_rank']); ?>" />
    <?php }  ?>
    <?php if ($row_Users['UserID']=="102"){ ?>
    <input <?php if (!(strcmp($row_lodges['102_finalist'],"Yes"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";} ?> type="checkbox" name="102_finalist"  value="Yes"/>
    <input type="text" class="rankfield" name="102_rank" value="<?php echo($row_lodges['102_rank']); ?>" />
    <?php }  ?>
The issue I have is that if User101 is logged in and updates fields 101_finalist and 101_rank, it overwrites 102_finalist and 102_rank with an empty string.
Is it possible to prevent each user from seeing the other fields for other users, and prevent the existing values for those other users not be overwritten?
    Hope that makes sense!
    Thank you.

That would mean multiple nominations when really there only needs to be one nomination per category in any given country.
    It would be:
    1, 345, 101, Borana Lodge, 7, 2, Yes, 1
    1, 345, 102, Borana Lodge, 7, 2, Yes, 3
    1, 345, 103, Borana Lodge, 7, 2, No, NULL
    Instead of:
    1, 345, Borana Lodge, 7, 2, Yes, 1, Yes, 3, No, NULL
Sorry, Lodge isn't in the nominations table, the list above is what is displayed on the site. Lodge gets looked up in the Ldoges table.
At the moment it works like this:
People can visit a website and vote for lodges in different categories, giving them a score out of 10 for each.
If a lodge gets a vote in a particular category an admin person creates a nomination for that lodge, in that category.
And the last bit is where judges login and tag the ones they think should be finalists.

  • Issue with field data type NUMBER(22,5) while updating field data.

    Hi,
I have a field with data type NUMBER(22,5).
While inserting or updating field data it should take 17 digit and after decimal point 5 digit total 22 digit.
I set 22 for maximumLength property of messageTextInput field.
While updating field I am getting following problems,
    1) I provide the value as 1234567890123456789012 (22 digit) and click apply button.
then I got error message as
    Error
    मैकेनाइजड दो पहिया/तीन पहिया वाहन - Value 1234567890123460000000 exceeds the maximum allowed value (NUMERIC (22, 5))
2)then I insert 12345678901234567.1234 (17 digit before decimal point and 4 digit after decimal point and it didn't accept 5 digit after decimal point) and click apply button.
It insert the value as 12345678901234600 (value changed after Apply)
The I tried with simple SQL insert statement to insert data and it successfully insert 12345678901234567.12345 value.
Any item property I missed here to set?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sagarika

    hi
    according to
" then I insert 12345678901234567.1234 (17 digit before decimal point and 4 digit after decimal point and it didn't accept 5 digit after decimal point) and click apply button.
It insert the value as 12345678901234600 (value changed after Apply)"
this statement ,it seems that it is definitely applying round or somthing like that function in the code before inserting value in the table("try with select round(12345678901234567.1234 ) from dual u will get the same result = 123456789012345600 ") ,
bcz u r able to insert the same directely into the table using insert statement so kindely have look on the code if something like this is not happening there.try to check code in related EOimpl class
try to to use debugging mode ,and the 23 char problem is related to maximum lenghth of text box make it 23 it will get resolved and u will be able to enter 17 digits with 5 digits after decimal point
    thanx pratap

  • Item text in Purchase Order getting updated with info. record Purchase Order Text

    Hello All,
I am working in a roll out project and facing issue in text repeating twice for the line item in the Purchase Order for the new company code for which rollout is happening
    Issue:
Item text in Purchase Order getting updated with info. record Purchase Order Text
    01) PO Text is maintained in the material master under "Purchase Order Text" tab
    02) The PO text that is maintained in material master is getting updated in the Purchase Info. Record
    03) When Purchase Order is created, the "Item Text" gets updated in the Purchase Order automatically only for the new company code for which rollout is happening. when printed, this results in the text getting duplicated twice
03.1) this behavior is not observed in the Plants/ Company code that is already Live
    Configurations in the system:
The copying rules for the "Texts for Purchase Orders" is
Source Object = "Info Record", Source Text="Purchase Order Text", Fix="*"
We have modified the Purchase Order form to print one of  the condition types maintained for calculating the tax. Other than this there is no change to the plants that are already live.
I could not locate any "Purchase Organization" / "Company Code" / "Plant specific configuration.
Am I missing any configuration or where can I look in what is causing this error.
Request help from the experts in the forum.
    with Regards,
    Dhandapani R

There is no company/purchasing/plant specific customizing for purchase order text.
The customizing copying rules for the "Texts for Purchase Orders" affects all equally .
If the text in the purchase order in ME23N is already filled different to other plants, then you either have a modification in place, or the texts are differently maintained in the referenced data (vendor, material, info record, contract)

  • Updating fields on Tabular Forms created with wizards

I have created a Tabular Form using the creation wizard in version 2.0.
When we update database records, we always place a date and a user ID into the record to track the last time updated.
In HTML-DB I typically create an "After Submit" process called "Set Hidden" which updates my items LAST_UPDATE_DATE and LAST_UPDATED_BY.
This works great on non-Tabular forms when I am dealing with one record at a time.
How do I do this on a multi-row tabular form?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I assumed a basic familiarity with Oracle and HTML DB development concepts
    1. "v" is a HTML DB function to read session state
    2. v('APP_USER') will give you the authenticated username of the current session
    3. For some reason, if that is blank, the NVL will evaluate to USER which is a builtin Oracle keyword just like SYSDATE. USER evaluates to the userid for the currently connected Oracle user (typically HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER)
    4. FOO is the function which will take the username and convert it to the internal id you seem to want.
    5. NVL is a function that evaluates both its arguments and returns the first non-null expression.

  • Update Tax Code in Infor record from PO

    Dear Experts ,
I want to update the tax code in info record through PO , just like net price etc .
Please let us kw hw can it be done ?
    Regards
    Anis

    Hi,
Tax code is picked as per following priority:
    1) From condition NAVS in transaction MEK1.
If point 1 is not maintained then it goes to point 2
    2) From Purchasing data of the infor record.
In your case, you can skip point 1 and then directly maintain the tax code in purchasing data of infor record.
    Regards
    Karan
