Finding which tablespace the index is using
Hello,
How do I find the tablespace in which the indexes of a particular schema are present. like getting the tablename , table , columname and tablespace present .
I found this in the OEM but did not know how to generate the SQL for that.
Thanks for any help.

I would use dba_indexes instead of dba_segments if you are not interested in physical storage information. The dba_indexes view provided the index_name and owner as well as the table_name and table_owner. The table and index owner might be different and this view will allow you to find all indexes for a table where you do not know the index names. You can join dba_indexes to dba_ind_columns for the index column list.

Determining in which tablespace the indexes are imported to
Hello all,
Often, the tables are in one tablespace and the indexes of these tables are on another tablespace.
If we have a DMP file done on a schema-level. Is there a way to import this DMP by specifying in the IMP that the tables of the exported schema are to be placed in one Tablespace and the indexes of these table are to be put on another tablespace?
Thnx for the replies.
Good day,
SamBasically, when you do import, oracle try to look for the same tablespace as source to import tables. If not found, then it quits with errors.
If the ignore=y parameter is specified with import command and when there is no tablespace as source tbs in the target, oracle will try to import in the default tablespace of the user/schema.
However, there is no command that gives the flexibility to import table in one tablespace and index in another tablespace.
Why dont you create the same tablesspaces in Target database as in source database?
You can always move index to another tablespae after import.

How to find bpel instance in 11g based on the index values using Java APIs
Hi ,
In SOA10G we had option to find the instances based on the index value using Java APIs like below.
WhereCondition criteria= new WhereCondition(SQLDefs.CX_index_1 + " = ?");
criteria.setString(1, "indexValue");
Locator mLoc = getLocator();
IInstanceHandle[] foundInstances = mLoc.listInstancesByIndex(criteria);
Please tell me how to achieve the same functionality in SOA 11G using Java APIs
Regards,
SabaI have multiple bpel in my composite. I checked in ci_indexes table and it shows the instance number of the bpel process. But the em console is showing only the composite instance number. when I opened composite instance, I could see all the bpel process with instance number in the audit trail. How can I find the the actual composite instance number that I should search for in the em console ???

Is there a way to find out if the projector is used from cd or dvd?
I have a projector which includes options for user to permanently edit some texts. These functions will not work if the projector is used from cd or dvd, because texts can't be saved. Is there a way I could find out if the presentation is used from cd or dvd, so I could hide the editing features and show them only when the projector is used from a hard drive or usb memory stick.
code would like something like this*:
driveLetter = the first char of the moviePath
driveType = baDiskInfo(driveLetter, "type")
if driveType = "CD-ROM" or driveType = "DVD-ROM" then
-- do your stuff here
end if
*modify to fit your project
You could also use FileXtra's fxObj.fx_VolumeIsCDROM() too:
driveLetter = the first char of the moviePath
fxObj = xtra("FileXtra4").new()
isCDDrive = fxObj.fx_VolumeIsCDROM(driveLetter)
fxObj = 0
if isCDDrive then
-- do your stuff here
end if -
To find which packages the PUBLIC role has execute privileges on
Hi Experts:
I need to find which packages the PUBLIC role has execute privileges on, since an Audit has revealed there are "there were execute privileges on 2 packages granted to the PUBLIC role"
How can I find these? I have queried, in different ways, dba_tab_privs and dba_sys_privs but I cant get a way to see
execute privileges on packages / procedures.
Thanks,

How do I find which of the later versions of OS-X will run on my 24" iMac?
Am currently running OS_X 10.6.8 and really need to upgrade that on my 24" iMac if at all possible to run Quickbooks as I can't find an older copy of QB that will run on this system. Anyone know where to buy older versions of Quickbooks?
Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, click on More Info, and check the model identifier against the following, which are the earliest Macs of each type that can run Mountain Lion and newer:
iMac7,1
MacBook5,1
MacBookPro3,1
MacBookAir2,1
Macmini3,1
MacPro3,1
Xserve3,1
A Mac older than those listed which has a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU and at least 2GB of RAM can run Lion 10.7, which is available by clicking here. Neither Yosemite nor Lion support PowerPC software such as Microsoft Office 2004.

I just want to calculate the quality of the peak in a FFT, defined as you can see in the attached file.
For that, I would need to know how can I calculate in Labview the index or indices (x-value) correspondant to a certain amplitude value of the function.
Kind regards, and thank you for reading,
Jose

quality.jpg 6 KBIf you know the lineshape (e.g. Lorentzian), you can use nonlinear fit. This will give you the most accurate value.
In the most simple case (insignificant offset and noise, no other peaks) you can apply the following code (if there are other peaks, then take a apropriate array subset before applying the code). To get correct units, just scale with df.

AS400 - which is the connectivity to use?
Hi everyone,
may you tell me which is the right connectivity to use in CrystalReport?
I've to connect Crystal whit AS400 data and made reports ...
Thanks for your help,
LC.Hi LC,
Crystal only connects to AS400 using ODBC. Once you have the AS400 ODBC drivers installed and then configure a System DSN, CR should be able to connect.
Thank you

How to find which programs (and other objects) use the field LGORT
Hi, Im an Abap freshman, and I have been asked to search all programs and objects that use the field LGORT (Storage Location), regardless of what table it is in.
Is it possible to do it using the "Where-Used List"?
This will be important since a new Storage Location will be created for MM, and we have to assure that no other programs that reference to it will be affected.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks!!Hi George,
Go to transaction SE11, choose radiobutton Data Element then enter the name LGORT. Now using the where-used-list in the toolbar, choose programs checkbox in the subsequent dialog and press enter. It should show all programs using the field LGORT irrespective of table name.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Sougata.

How to find which are the user exits that updating z table.
There was a question posted by someone else which said:
I have a z table. my requirement is to find the user exits that update the value to this table?
but my requirement is to get only those user exits that update my z table.
Before that question was rejected, it got 5 replies which made me think that this tip is worth sharing.
So the steps are:
Do a where-used list search from SE11
Click on Search Range button at bottom
Type UPDATE (you can also add Insert, Delete etc to select-option) to ABAP Key Words field
Say No to the popup that asks whether to include Fields of the Table
Result will show relevant programs with code snippets doing static Update on that custom table.EWK1 would be too performance heavy in this case. It scans the source code to get the result.
You can however, download the list of programs given in where-used list, and give that as limiting condition in EWK1 or some other code scanning utility.
Using my method, where-used list of table is taken from database tables, and then code scanning is done only on the that list, not on entire Z* programs.
Try it yourself to notice the speed difference. -
How to find which table is not being used ?
Hi,
I am in need of releasing space from the common schema we have. i have been permitted to drop the tables which has not been used for the last three months.
Can anyone please suggest how to find the tables that has not been used for a given amount of time.
Thanks and Regards.
Rajibi have been permitted to drop the tables which has not been used for the last three months.Can I just chip in an observation on this premise? It's not unusual for systems to have processes that run quarterly or even annually. You need to be very careful about dropping "unused" tables - you might just kill your organisations end of year reporting system.
Is buying more disk space really not an option?

How to find which Restricted Key Figures are using a specific hierararchy??
HI Experts,
I am updating a very important hierarchy which is used in many queries and in many Restricted key figures. Is it possible to find in which Restricted Key Figures this specific hierarchy is used??
Thanks in advance.
Meyling.Hi
I was able to find a solution
I built a new dataset in report builder using the same table as before but tried out the "Group and Aggregate" function and for the case_ship
field I chose "Sum" as my aggregate.... In essence this gave me a very cool and easy daliy sum of the shipped cases.
When I used this new dataset and built my matrix report I was able to easily get the max daily shipment for each product by week, month and
year.

Which type of index is useful for date columns with time stamp
Hi all,
I am using date column in the where clause of an SQL Query. The values stored in the date column are includes timestamp. The query is very slow and there is no index on the date column.
Can any body suggest which index is better on date columns
ThanksI am using date column in the where clause of an SQL Query.Dates a re hard queries to tune. This ...
WHERE start_date BETWEEN to_date('01-SEP-05') AND to_date('02-SEP-05')...probably requires a very different execution plan to this...
WHERE start_date BETWEEN to_date('01-JAN-01') AND to_date('02-SEP-05')Just bunging an index on the date column may speed up your specific query but break something else. So be careful.
Cheers, APC
