Quotation Messages:
Hello friends,
My problem is while raising the sales order I am not getting the Quotation Message pop up.
I have already checked in VOV8, for my order type OR the quotation messages has got A , I have also tried with B alternatively but not getting the message even though there are some open quotations are there.
Can any one suggest, what is wrong here please.

'Reference Mandatory' & 'Quotation Message' in Sales Order Type
Hi,
We have got couple of 'Quote' in our System. In VOV8 tcode, when we create different Sales Orders, we want to set the 'Reference mandatory' to B (With reference to Quotation).
My Question: Out of multiple quotes in the system, to which quote the system would require the user to enter as prerequisite?
Our Requirement: For one set of order types, we want to make certain quotes type mandatory and for other set of order types, we want to make other quote type mandatory.
How can that be done?
For the same requirement, we want to set 'Quotation Message' in such a way, that only for certain order types, the system should check one set of quotes, whereas for other order types, the system should check another set of quotes.
What would be the best way to achieve, both or one of the above requirement.
ThanksHello,
To specify the document types as reference maintain copy controls.
Here your requirement is to maintain sales document types as reference, so, go to t-code VTAA and there maintain your target doc type like OR/ZOR and source doc.type as QT/ZQT.
According to your requirement the settings should be:
1.Target Doc type-OR
Source Doc type-QT
2.Target Doc type-ZOR
Source Doc type-ZQT
After you do this setting the system will now refer only those doc types that you have maintained here.
Hope this helps else friends please correct me.

Swami

Automatically referring Quotation by the given Sales order material
Hi,
While creating Sales Order through VA01, based on the material entered in Sales Order it should refer back the available Quotations for customer and material and create Sales order w.r.t Quotation. Sales order should get created as if it is created w.r.t Quotation.(This is only 1 Quotation-1 Sales Order scenario )
We tried to provide the solution with the available User exits SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE and MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP located in MV45AFZZ program.
and also SAVE_DOCUMENT. By forcibly maintaining XVBFA[] we could able to achieve only u201CSales order is referring the Quotation and Quotation is referring Sale order in document flowu201D, But we need Quantity consumption of material in quotation for created Sales orders should get reflect in quotation.
Solution is not complete till the consumed quantity of quotation is not getting reduced in Quotation Header and is not getting referenced.
We tried other options below too, any pointers would be of great help.
Approach 1:-
Implementation of BAdI u201CBADI_SD_SALES_ITEMu201D and corresponding interface method.
u201CIF_SD_REF_DOC_CUST~SEARCH_FOR_REF_DOCu201D BAdI documentation shows no further implementation is required but tried the option.
But could not found the proper u201Cchanging/Export parametersu201D for the interface method. By observation BAdI triggers for similar kind of configuration made in approach 2 mentioned below.
Approach 2:-
Tried changing with the configuration settings of Quotation messages for u2018Z001u2019 order type in VOV8 transaction.
This gives us the popup at run time with the available Quotations for each item.
We tried to suppress this pop up and repeat the same process programmatically and call the same perform u201CBELEG_POS_KOPIEREN_AUS_LISTEu201D of program u201CMV45AF0B_BELEG_POS_KOPIEREN_AUu201D from exit u201CUSEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAPu201D. Unfortunately this calls copy control and falls into infinite loop.
Open approach still requires investigation:-
Instead of calling the perform directly in approach 2, we need to populate the fields/tables in debug mode and check.
Thanks much,
Vishnu.Hi VIshnu,
We have got a similar requirement in our project. Can you please let me know if you were able to get the solution for this?
Would you please help me with the approach that you have taken.

Copy control from quotation to sales order
HI ,
Though my quoation is incomplete it can be copied into sales order, kindly suggest me a so;ution where in incomplete quotaion cannot be copied into sales order.Kindly explain me teh setting in TCODE (VTAA) STEP BY STEP.
Regards
Sunainahi,
Copying control for sales documents is in Customizing, under Sales and Distribution - Sales - Maintain Copying Control for Sales Documents.
In this you can change the procedure by not selecting incomplete quotation for sales order, but this can be done only when some of the data in quotation is missing.
like dont give the validity date in quotation and save it before providing the validity date.
Maintaining an Incompleteness Procedure
An automatically-created quotation does not contain a Quotation-valid-to date. The customer's system requires this information for processing; therefore you have to add it to the quotation prior to saving the document, and before generating the message to the customer.
The incompleteness control is set up in such a way that the quotation is incomplete if this date has not been entered. In Customizing for Sales and Distribution, you choose Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Incompleteness Control for Sales and Distribution Documents, to assign sales document type QT (quotation) to incompleteness procedure 10, which contains the field for this check.
Message Control
The following message types have been created to Sales and Distribution (SD) in the vendors system:
· Message type AN00 for the quotation
· Message types POST and PNST for status inquiries
· Message types BA01 and BA02 for the order
confirmation and amendment respectively
· Message type LALE for the delivery
· Message type RD00 for the invoice

Siddharth. -

Have historical quotes available during quatation process
Hi SD Gurus
Anybody pls help me ,
"Have historical quotes available during quatation process ".-- Fixing Core Phase.
Pls send me Business process for this Pain Area.
Very Urgent.
Thanking you
with regards
pawanHi,
Check in VOV8 (Sales order type control) for your quotation type,if you have used the field Quotation messages(On/Off swithces for quotation processing.)
Here you can choose the option as per your requirement.
On/off switch for messages about quotations
Procedure
Set an indicator here if you want to receive a message informing you that open quotations exist when you create a sales document. Depending on the indicator you select, the system searches for open quotations in the sales document either at the header level for the customer or at item level for the material.
Use
The following indicators must be set:
No indicator: do not check
A: check at header level
B: check at item level
C: check at header level and copy if unique
D: check at item level and copy if unique
E: check at header level and branch directly to selection list
F: check at item level and branch directly to selection list
Indicators C and D
If there is exactly one reference document at item or header level, this is copied directly into the sales document you are about to create. The dialog box in the sales document that refers to an existing reference document is not displayed. The system issues a message in the status bar informing you that there is exactly one reference document for the sales document.
Indicators E and F
If there are several reference documents at item or header level, the system does not call up a dialog box but instead branches directly into a selection list containing the reference documents, where you can choose the required document. If there is only one reference document, it is copied directly as above.

Maintain access sequences
Go to new entries and define the access sequence.
Select the defined access sequence and go to accesses.
Go to new entries and place the condition tables in the required order
While placing the condition tables check the field exclusive. By doing so if the system finds a valid condition record in the first condition table it will not go to the next condition table
Select the condition table and go to fields the system gives the warning message the field assignment has not yet been made say enter till we get the fields.

No quotation found even after message "Quotation 20000051 has been saved"
Dear SAP friends
I am trying to createa quote using the bapi (BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2).
It runs with the following message
233 SALES_HEADER_IN has been processed successfully
233 SALES_ITEM_IN has been processed succesfully
555 The sales document is not yet complete: Edit data
311 Quotation 20000051 has been saved.
However when I goto transaction VA23, the field is automatically populated by '200000051'.
When I click on Search, I get a message
"SD document 20000051 is not in the database or has been archived"
What am I doing wrong? Atleast if I can see this quote, I can go to Edit and look for incomplete log, but unfortunately I can't see the Quote at all.
Any feedback will be highly appreciated

Changing quantities in sales order with reference to quotation
Hi,
Quotation has been created for Product -- A, 10 quantities.
Sales order created with reference to quotation, system copies 10 quantity in sales order.
How do you restrict in sales order end user should not change quantities, system should not allow for changes by end user. If end user changes Qty system should give an "Error message", so that sales can not be saved.
Could you suggest solution ASAP.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
vamsi.Normally You will have a warning message set for this. under class V1. if you want the error to be hard error then you would have to hard code it in a user exit under mv45afzz "userexit_save_document_prepare" where u can check if the quantities in the quote and sales order are different and create a hard error.
the other option which I am not sure if it is possible is to propose the eror in message class v4 which you can control thru customisation under SPRO>SD>message settings
reward points if it helps
regards
Biju
