R/3 - XI - Third party (IDOC) Scenario

Hi
We are facing some issues related to particular scenario and I hope you guys could help.
SAP sends and IDOC to XI which is in turn routed to a third-party system (NON SAP) which should receive the Data in IDOC format. The connection to this third-party system is using a TCP/IP RFC connection. This third-party system acts as a broker between their SAP system and others.
Now the question... Is there any way to connect this system using an RFC channel? If not are there any other channels that could be used with a TCP/IP Connection?
Any thought suggestions on this will be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
Prav

hi,
If your scenario is R/3 -> XI -> Third party (NON-SAP).
then you can handle it as idoc to http adapter.
i mean source would be idoc format and target structure would be of cxml format and the scenario has http adapter on receiver side.
Kindly let me know if it makes any sense.

  • Third-Party Order scenario

    Hi
In the third-party order scenario (TPO), how can the business user communicate to the customer that the delivery of the goods / shipment of the goods has been done. How does the user update the SAP database that the shipment of the goods has taken place.
If the vendor sends the business user an ASN which automatically creates the inbound delivery in the user's SAP system, then could the inbound delivery create an outbound delivery to the customer stating that the goods have been shipped to the specified address ??
    Thanks
    Maruthi Ram

There is no standard SAP solution for this requirement.
You can trigger output from inbound delivery document to generate EDI output and send delivery information to customer.
You will require to define custom output type , partner profile and link with custom fucntion module.
FM should have logic to pick information from 3rd party sales order and inbound ASN and generate IDOC
Hope this solution will work for your requirement

  • Third party sale scenario: COGS not allowed as automatically posted.

    Dear Gurus,
I have come across this error during execution of third party sale scenario.
When the user enters a PO with reference to PR which is in reference to SO, one error pops up which says COGS cannot be automatically posted only.
When I deselect the "Post automatically" tick, the PO can be saved.
Process we are following during third party sale process:-
    1. Sales order.
    2. PR with reference to Sales order.
    3. Purchase order with reference to PR.
    4. Statistical GR with reference to PO.: COGS Dr. To GR/IR Clearing account Cr.
    5. Sales Invoice: Customer Dr. To Sales Cr.
    6. MIRO: GR/IR Clearing account Dr. To Vendor Cr.
I have my own doubts on the statistical GR part. Can you pls. validate the same.
Also in case of third party sale, what will be the CO object as COGS is not created a cost element. (SAP standard)

  • A doubt on third party sales scenario

    hi gurus
    please anybody solve my doubt
in the third party sales scenario, the vendor delivers the goods to the customer and sends the delivery acknowledgement to the company.
by what configurations the delivery acknowledgement will automatically go to the company from vendor
    regards
    mahesh

When you do MIGO (Goods Receipt), it will trigger PGI automatically.
Vendor has to inform Us when they delivered to our Customer.  This could be done via Proof of Delivery (POD).
Let me know if you need more details.
Please reward points if you find this information is useful /resolves your issue.

  • How to set up the communication channel for third party idoc

    Hello,
I am trying to send an idoc from an sap 4.6c system to an third party system. The third party system is supporting idcos with trfc.
My problem is to set up the communication channel in the integration builder (configuration) for the third party system. The idoc is waitung in XI to transport.
    My settings are:
    adapter type: idoc
    transport protocol: idoc
    message protocol: idoc
    adapter engine: integration engine
rfc destination: xyz (is working fine)
interface version: sap release 4.0 or higher
    port: ??
    sap release 46c
My problem is the port. should i set up a port in idx1? But the third party is not an sap system and so i dont have a client.
On the xi i have defined a port in transaction we21 (transactional rfc) for the third party with my rfc destination xyz. But if i enter that port in communication channel i got error messages.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Christian,
yes, you have to mainztain that port in idx1.
First ypi load the rfc-metadata from an SAP referenzsystem and afterwards copy this metadata to the third party port.
For further details check the onlinedocumentation "IDoc Processing with the IDoc Adapter" XI -> runtime -> adapter
    Good luck,
    Holger

  • Third party sales scenario

    Hi All,
We have received an order for 1000 qty. we can produce and deliver only 500, so we have a third party which will produce and deliver it directly to the customer.
I want to know how this process goes on in SAP. specifically if we deliver 500 qty with a delivery note, then how we will accomodate other 500 qty in delivery and how to bill it.
Kindly help me understanding the process.
    Thanks and regards,
    Danny.

    Dear Danny
If u want total 1000 qty to be delivered together n billed at once.
In my opinion, u can very well do it by maintaining the Item Category TAB for Third Party Item.
So this will be an Individual Purchase Order scenario of Third Party.
Vendor will deliver goods to you n you can deliver those goods with your own goods, to customer.
Or otherwise, if you want your vendor to deliver goods directly to customer n you will deliver yours, in that case, two deliveries will take place but still u can create single Billing Invoice for both the deliveries.
In this case, u have to use Item Category TAS for third party item.
U will bill the customer on the basis of Shipping Notification raised by the Vendor.
If u want more details, check the link -

    Hope this helps u.

  • THird Party PO Scenario - GR into Customer Consignment Stock

    HI,
In a Third party scenario, is there any possible way to post the GR into Customer consignment stock ?!
    In std SAP,
PR is generated from Sales order and the PO is created w.r.to the PR.
PR & PO will have the acct assignment ( sales order) and item category (third party).
during GR,  we can't see the stock in the system. because the GR is statistical one since the stock is directly deliverd at customer place.
But in the current world in our case,
the stock is delivered in an external warehouse, from where the goods will be delivered to customer at a later point.
we want to track the stock in external warehouse. so, we want to have this as the "customer consignment stock". ( we may have this as a SLOC and from there we can transfer to customer consignment stock. but there will not be any link for the sales order and this customer consignment stock and moreover during GR we are not updating the stock...)
    SO here is the question,
how can we update the stock during GR for Third party order( as far as I know, we can't define new item category).
If we are updating the stock during GR for 3rd party, then we may find a way to post it to the customer consignment....
    Pls share your ideas..thanks.

Third Party Consignment?  Anyone have an answer?  I have the same requirement

  • Third party -IDOC -ALE

    Hi friends,
Is it posssible for third party sales interface between vendor and customer through ALE or IDOC ......if so then how?
    Thanks
    Ivy

    >'Transaction IDX1: Port <XI Port>, client <XI client>, RFC destination  contain errors'
    > Mark Package (IDOCs [1..1]) as having been rejected by SAP peer
    >
    > How has a third party system to be configured, to send IDocs correctly to XI?
I think the 3rd party system is configured correct, as the message reaches PI server.
Check IDX1. The metadata provider (RFC destination) has to provide the same structure as the IDoc from 3rd party has.
So you could enter the receiver of the IDoc as metadata provider.
Check Sm21 for any valueable entry.

  • Acct  assignemnt for the PR Third Party sales scenario

    Hello,
In third party sales, when we create a SO it automatically creates a Purchase requisition. It is a Account assigned Pr with acct assgt cat as "X".
For this acct assgt cat "X" I have VAX as the acct modifier.
In OBYC i have set the G/L for this GBB - VAX
The PR that is getting generated from Sales order is not taking this G/L instead it is picking the G/L assigned from BSX trasaction key.
My question is in a Third party scenario it shud pick the COGS G/L that we have assigned in VAX or the stock G/L assigned in BSX ??
If it shud be the VAX G/L what could have gone wrong?
    Please advice,
    Thanks a ton in advance.

    Hi
    Chk in Configuration
Spro > materials mmgnt > Purchasing > acc Assignment > acc assignment category > Go to X > see details > Chk the acccount modifications >
If nothing is there put VAX
Hope it solve u r problem

  • Problem in third party sales scenario

    Hi all,
When i'm creating sales order for third party i'm not getting purchase requistion number and when i'm enter third party in sales order system displaying message like " Puchase requistion can only be created for items assigned to plant. Please solve my issue.
    Thanks and regards
    Keshav

    Hi
In standard SAP, item category TAS is used for this. The schedule line category is CS. Here you can see a field 'order type' with value 'NB'. This triggers the automatic creation of the PR.
Plus in the material master also you need to do certain settings.
    1) If you are always following a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS. The procurement type should be marked as external procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
    2) If you are not always allowing third party order processing then you can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as (X) meaning both types of procurement (in house manufacturing and external procurement).
In the item category the billing relevance should be 'F'.

  • In third party scenario how can we ensure that no costs go un booked?

    Dear all,
My client is a trading company, here we have suggested a third party sales scenario without shipping notification for trading but client is asking that how can we ensure the costs of trading will not be absorbed by client. and whatever paid to vendor and fully will be collected from customer along with the profit margin.
    regards,
    Sanju..

    hi,
ok, here we are not producing the goods to book cost of the product against it.
    you can consider this option:
In MMR you can have the price uploaded when ever the price changes takes place and it will flow from the sales order.

  • Third party scenario billing error.

    Hi,
I am testing the third party sales scenario. I have customized my own settings .While creating bill for the customer I am getting the following error u201CNo billing documents were generated message: VF032u201Dwhen I checked further the log the message is u201Cthe item is not relevant for billingu201D.
I have checked the following settings in VOV7, VOV 8, VTFA and VTFL and they are as follows.
    VOV7
    Billing relevance: F
    VOV8
In the shipping tab delivery type: EL shipping notification
and under the tab billing following settings are there
    Dlv-rel.billing type :F2    Invoice
    Order-rel.bill.type  : F2    Invoice
    Intercomp.bill.type : F2    Invoice
    VTFA
In the transaction the target is assigned to the sales document type i.e in my case F2(Invoice) is assigned to ZOR and in the copying requirements the option is chosen as 012: Order related third party item and in the item category ZTAS is assigned with copying requirements as 12 : Ord Rel 3rd Pty Item and with the following settings
    Billing quantity     F
    Pos./neg. quantity   +
    Pricing type         G
    VTFL
In the above said setting invoice F2 is assigned with the shipping notification type EL and
copying requirements were chosen as 012
Target billing type : F2  Source delivery type : EL
    Billing quantity     D
    Pos./neg. quantity   +
    VTAA
In this target sales document is assigned to the source sales document and the copying requirements as 303 .
The process is followed : Sales orderu2014PRu2014POu2014Inbound delivery (shipping notification)u2014GRu2014Invoicing .
In spite of all these settings I am getting the error u201CNo billing documents were generated message: VF032u201D: u201Cthe item is not relevant for billingu201D.
    Please suggest me further.
    Rabi

in your process you missed the invoice from your vendor
F: Order-related billing doc. - status according to invoice quantity
Relevant for order-related billing documents based on the invoice receipt quantity (third-party business transaction). The system transfers the order into the billing due list only after the vendor invoice has been received and processed in the purchasing department. After the receipt of each invoice, a  customer invoice is created for the quantity that appears on the vendor invoice. The order has status "Billed" until the next vendor invoice is received.
The process is followed : Sales orderu2014PRu2014POu2014Inbound delivery (shipping notification)u2014GRu2014invoice from vendor - Invoicing the customer .

  • MRP in third party scenario. System not creating schedule lines

    HI
I am using third party subcontracting scenario. As i am purchasing material but i am not taking material in under my company. I am paying to my vendor but the delivery is going to my subcontractor.
Here i am able to create planned order or purchase requisition. But MRP is not generating schedule lines for that vendor.
    Regards,
    Anand.

    Hello,
    Check the following settings.
    1. Source list active in Material master.
    2. Valididy of the source list.
    3. Any quota arrangement
    4. Purchase infor record.
Note: all are OK, but still PR's only created, then check for the requirement date, if the requirement date lies before the validity of the source list then also system will create only purchase requisitions.
for this calculation you have to check the lead time for procurement cycle you have to check. Based on this no. of days only system will try to create the procurement proposals.
If the lead time is very high and this is going beyond the sourcelist validity, then also PR's only created.
So there are so many possibilities. check for the above said things and revert back.
    regards,
    <Manick>

  • Cost in VPRS varies in Third party Scenario

    Hi,
We all know that COST (VPRS condition value) in Invoice is fetched from MIRO in case of Third party sales scenario.
When we have 2 quantity in PO for a particular item, I have completed the MIRO(Vendor Invoicing) & VF01 (Customer Invoicing) for 1 quantity. Then the cost was reflecting in the document.
When I have created a new MIRO for the second quantity and cancelled the MIRO, system is updating the VPRS amount in already saved customer invoice to the extent of tax amount in the cancelled MIRO.
    For Example:
PO Quantity - 2 for the material 'MAT12'
    1st MIRO  - Amount - 816000(incl of tax 16000)
Customer Invoice '123'- Cost (VPRS): 816000 (Initially shown)
    2nd MIRO - Amount 816000(Incl of tax 16000)
    And Cancelled this MIRO.
After cancelling, Customer Invoice '123' - Cost(VPRS) is 832000 (Got updated to the extent of tax amount in the cancelled MIRO).
CAN ANYONE PLS EXPLAIN WHY THIS UPDATION IN THE COST.
    THANKS.
    Guru

    Hi,
The problem is that we are not "subcontracting" and we are not providing any component to the vendor.
We are selling a product that we are not producing at all (just buying it to an external vendor). So that, this product has Procurement Type = "F" in our location.
Imagine we have a vendor in "Holland" that is producing the finish good. And we are selling that product to two customers (one in Italy and the other in Belgium). All requirements for the italian customer are delivered to our distribution center in Italy, and Sales Orders to that customers are delivering the stock place on that distribution center. For the Belgium requirements there is need to send the stock to our warehouse (Italy) in order to send it later to Belgium
In that case our company has an agreement with the vendor, so that the keep the stock for the Belgium needs (we are not the owners of that stock), and then we create Third-Party Sales Orders.
If you have any experience in such a kind of scenario I would appreciate.
    Regards,
    Raü
