R12 re installation

I am going to reinstall R12 using your thread: Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Installation Steps on Windows XP I have followed a note to remove every thing just now.
I have a couple of questions as follows:
-- I don't have a domain name on my XP. How to set one?
-- If I don't have to set a domain name, what do put under "Primary DNS Suffix of this Computer"?
-- Do I have to deinstall Loopback adapter? I have this in hosts file: 10.10.10.10 mypc.home.com mypc
I don't remember why I had mypc.home.com for 10.10.10.10
-- Can I set my IP to fixed IP? Do I have to?
I have struggled to fix R12 issues for a long time. I think it was IP address issue because it changes all the time. It worked once right after installation, then it has a lot of problems. I didn't do any changes. One thing I can say is that the IP changed a few times which lead me to change the hosts file all the time.
I want to do right this time. Please help me. THANK YOU!
Your Installation Steps:
2) Set 'Computer Name' as well as 'Domain Name'.
- Right click on 'My Computer' > Properties > 'Computer Name' > Change
- Set 'Computer Name' to <hostname>
- Click on More
- Set a 'Primary DNS Suffix of this Computer' to <domainname.com>
3) Install Microsoft Loopback adapter and define an IP address (10.10.10.10)

I want to tell you that the reinstall was successful. But got error when I click every responsibility:What is the OS/Browser?

Where did you get this error stack from? application.log file?
Did AutoConfig complete successfully?

I searched website and copied any file under /portal to favicon.ico, then stop, start apache. -- still not working. the error.log doesn't add any more stuff for this bounce.You can ignore this error.
When I clicked any menu on sysadmin responsibility, it asked me to install J2SE plug in. I reinstalled and opened another browse. then ask me again.Please make sure you add the application URL to the trusted sites list from the browser. Also, make sure you implement all the steps in (Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 389422.1]), under "Internet Explorer Browser Settings for User Download of oaj2se.exe" section.
