Replacement of Tax Columns in R12 Environment (12.1.3)

After Upgrade from 11.5.10 to R12.1.3 these following columns were picked in AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL table and now the issue is about to replace these tax columns with R12 ZX tables.
Table used in 11i AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL
TAX_RECOVERY_RATE,
TAX_RECOVERY_OVERRIDE_FLAG
Have to replace columns with ZX tax tables... Need to know which table is populating in ZX tables.. Please suggest on this as it is very high important....

How to export UDF and related columns?

Hi All,
how to export related UDF columns? When we do export of User.xml and import on fresh copy of OIM we do not have related column. I can not find correct option in deployment manager to export User DF. How to achieve this?

BBI've managed to tame UDF attributes and categories for users and organizations using the ConfigManager service. But beware: in 11.1.1.3 it works for the USR table only, you need 11.1.1.5 to deal with organizations.

Data Modeler 3.0 EA1 - Logical= Attributes & Relational= Columns missing

Hi,
I imported Modeler 2.0 design into Modeler 3.0 EA1 and discovered that LOGICAL=>ATTRIBUTES and RELATIONAL=>COLUMNS options are no longer displayed.
Were these options removed from this new version or is my installation broken?

Relative column width

Our company use one OBIEE - dashboard with several tables. The dashboards are watched at different monitors with a different resolutions.
The outlining of the columns is on each screen diffenrent. Is it possible to make relative columns widths so that the outling of the rables is on each monitor the same?

I have found changing column widths one of the most frustrating aspects of building Dashboards. In the Additional Formatting Options section on the Style tab of the column in Criteria you wish to change, you can add a percentage (relative) or an actual number (absolute) to attempt to control the width of columns. To change where the report appears within a section of the Dashboard -- (which you seem to be talking about from your description) -- you need to change the horizontal alignment. In Results, click on the Format View button and you can play with the horizontal alignment there.
The final suggestion I can offer and I have done this to control how reports appear when they are side-by-side, is to build a "padding" report. Basically, I build a report with just the Narrative View. A dummy column with a CASE statement tricks OBI and putting in HTML spaces creates the "buffer." The more spaces the "wider" the report and the more it "pushes" the other reports to where I want it to appear. (This is especially useful when you have two links, horizontally, on the dashboard and you wish them to appear on the left side (easier to see on smaller monitors). The default puts them too much to the middle of the dashboard, perhaps what you are experiencing. I may be wrong. Query again if you wish more details on how to do this.

Relation column for Tax Line and Item Line in AP Invoice Ditributions 11i

We have requirement of populating Line_Group_Number in AP_invoice_lines_interface for a related item line and a Tax Lines. We are getting the data for AP invoices from 11i.
Could you please let us know column which can show the relation between a Tax Line and a corresponding Item Line in AP_invoice_distributions Table in 11i.

If you are using business area method then you want to create all sales tax GL with business area optional. And You create one GL like Tax clearing account(business area optional)and assign the same in OBXM against all the sales tax GLs.
Then you want to run F.5d and F.5e on everymonth.

11i table ar_vat_tax_all_b(vat_tax_id column) - need to replace the column vat_tax_id
in R12 we have table apps.zx_taxes_b but i am not sure whether i can use this table as a replacement and if it can be used then what should be the column of this table used to replace vat_tax_id?

Resolved the issue.
There is a table called ZX_ACCOUNTS. Use the column tax_account_ccid in it. Link ZX_ACCOUNTS.tax_account_entity_id to ZX_RATES_B.tax_rate_id.

But AP_BANK_BRANCHES is obsolete in r12, and thus we are moving away from this table. I see them in CE_BANK_BRANCHES_V view.

Urgent: Customized 11i forms, work into R12 - Problem

Hi,
We are running 11i, R12 versions instance.
In that for 11i forms, we are using in R12.
In that one customized form colomn data defination area, has to define some other tables/ views.
We would know the present form colomn 'data defination : query, to modify the particular colomn.
Note: That column has record group as well lov, functions and procedure etc.

Related column of a fact table - SSAS Tabular

Hi,
I'm developing a SSAS Tabular model using a SQL Server 2012 SP 1 installation.
For a fact table I've created some calculated columns using the DAX RELATED function. These columns not are hidden to client tools. When I deploy the project and I open an Excel workbook in order to connect the SSAS Tabular cube, in the field list I cannot
see the calculated columns by RELATED function.
For me, this in an issue and not a normal behaviour.

Generally, if we create a calculated column on SQL Server tabular model database on SSMS, and then go to Model-> Process -> Process All and finish the data processing. Then when we connect the database in EXCEL, the calculated column will appear on
the Excel. In your scenario, you cannot see the calculated columns. It’s strange behavior. However we cannot give you the detail reason for this issue base on the limited information. Please refer to the link below which describe the detail steps about
create a calculated column, then check whether if you missing any step when creating calculated column.
Add Calculated Column and Measures to Tabular Model
If the issue persists, please elaborate your production environment and the steps to create the calculated column, so that we can make further analysis.

Need help in GL table column mapping - R12.1.3

Hi,
we are upgrading from 11.5.10 to R12.1.3
While modifying one of the reports, come across a query which uses gl_mc_reporting options table.
This table is replaced by gl_ledger_relationships in R12.
However, in the query, we are using reporting_set_of_books_id in the where clause.
Can you please let me knw the corresponding column I need to use from gl_ledger_relationships in R12.

U can try like this create the rows with single column
then print all ur text elements with spaces inserted manually between them with text editor then in conditions tab of the text elements specify ur condition according to what all u want to print.

Oracle alert not working in 11i but working on R12 on same server

Hi Friends,
I have an R12(R12.1.1) Instance and I configured Oracle Alert with the following details
Mail systems : Windows NT Mail
Mail Database/Server Name: server1
Send Mail Account/password : wf/wf
Response Mail Account/password: wf/wf
Enable Response Processing:no
Workflow mailer is working and I tested a sample Oracle Alert and it works fine.I received mail also.
I also have a 11i (11.5.10.2) instance on the same server and i configured the alert options exactly as i did for R12 and the workflow mailer is also running but the alert is throwing error:
APP-ALR-04124: Oracle Alert was unable to deliver your message

Apps Version : 11.5.10.2(Default Installation,No patches applied)
Server OS : Red Hat Linux ES 4.4
Mail server : Exchange 5.5 on windows
Both the instances are on the same server.
what is the change needs to be done on 11i compared with R12(R12.1.1)which is working fine.

Setting up no of columns in R12 discoverer report

Hi,
We are working on R12 discoverer report.
In the instance when we run the report, by default we see 6 columns and we have to click on link 'Right' to see ther columns.
A logged in user can set the no of columns to 25 or so but this ihas to be done everytime for every user
How can we set the no of columns in the report to say 25 at once? Is this a set up option in the instance or in
BI 10-g Disco admin edition?

Number of columns should not be any issue, but, proper normalization may be better for your design and scalability. If you can explain what you are storing in this table, you might get help if you need to have more than 2 tables in this particular scenario.
If all these fields are related to a single entity, probably this single table is already normalized and needs not to be replaced by two tables.
