Radio button item value from plsql

Hi,
I have a radio button with 3 options on a region (P3_RADIO1). With pressing a button I would like to check the value of P3_RADIO1. But in plsql :P3_RADIO1 is empty. How can I reach the selected return_value of then radio button item?
A.

Hi,
Reasonable straightforward. You just need to use the bound values of the radio button (1 or 2):
switch (this.rawValue)
    case "1":
    Response12BN.presence = "invisible";
    xfa.host.messageBox("Attach a copy of your company’s safety manual and safety incentive programs.",  "SAFETY PROGRAM ATTACHMENTS", 3, 1);
    break;
    case "2":
    Response12BN.presence = "visible";
    Response12BN.rawValue = xfa.host.response("Please enter the reason you do not have a Written Safety Program here", "WRITTEN SAFETY PROGRAM");
    break;
Should work,
Niall

    i used this where park .visits is the java class for
    visit object that contains getResort() method
    now error has gone but nothing is stored in the
    actionform class I would take that to mean the List
    1. does not contain a collection of Visit. You can check that by printing some debug statements inside the loop
    2. contains collection of visit objects. However the visit objects return null for getResort().
    Why dont you debug by printing out the objects from wherever you sit it in request/session scop (i.e in your servlet/web-handler)
    ram.

  • Display a value from PLSQL code to screen

    How to display a value from PLSQL code to screen without loading or refreshing the page?
    im using ajax to call the javascript to run the PLSQL code. i desire to view some value in the screen when i run the PLSQL code
    skud.

    anything that you print from the PLSQL code(using htp.p, htp.prn etc) with will available in Javascript as the server response. You can parse that string it in javascript and display it on screen or modify page items or create dynamic items/elements using those values.
    A minimal example
    Ondemand PLSQL process : TEST_PROCESS
    begin
      htp.prn('hello world');
    end;Javascript Code
    var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get(null,&APP_ID.,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=TEST_PROCESS',0);
    ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get();
    alert(ajaxResult);Will display an alert message "hello world"
    You can construct the string in JSON/XML format in PLSQL to pass complex data structures(or multiple values) or even HTML code, then do the required processing in Javascript, for example extract out item values from it and set items, convert the JSON array to a select list item in the page or put the HTML code with a div element in the page.

  • What is the code to get the  Label of  radio button item at runtime?

    Hi All
    I am working on forms 10g(version 10.1.2.0.2 ) with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 on windows 2000 platform.
    My requirement is to dynamically get the label of the radio button item in a radio group.I am able to get the label of the radio group as shown below
    Item :Radio group
    Label : Gender
    IF m_type = 'RADIO GROUP' THEN
         m_label:=Get_Item_Property(m_Item ,label);
    END IF;
    There two Radio buttons inside this radio group which are
    item     : Radio button
    Label : Male
    item :Radio button
    Label :female
    What is the code to get the label of radio button(i.e) male and female ?
    How will I get the count of radio buttons in a radio group at runtime?
    Regards
    Mohan

    But you have to provide the button name which cannot be get at runtime.
    This is a lack of information that the Dev team would correct !

  • Set item value from application level item

    Hello,
    I'm using Apex 2.2.1.00.04. I've modified the Page "No Tabs" template so that I can have my own Form (which is submitted to an outside website). On this form, I create some hidden items:
    <form name="frmEPay" method="POST" action="some_website">
    <input type="hidden" id="i1" name="userId" value=&G_ID. />
    <input type="hidden" id="i11" name="timestamp" value="" />
    <input type="hidden" id="i12" name="hash" value="" />
    On this apex page, I have a javascript function which is called in the onload (basically, the ApEx webpage displays and then is redirected). Here's a snippet of that function:
    var appProc = new htmldb_Get(null, html_GetElement('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=PrepEPay',0);
    appProc.get();
    appProc = null;
    document.getElementById('i11').value = "&G_ECOM_TIMESTAMP.";
    document.getElementById('i12').value = "&G_HASH.";
    document.frm_infiNET.submit();
    As you can see, the function calls an application level On Demand process (PrepEPay). That process sets the values of the application level items G_ECOM_TIMESTAMP and G_HASH. After those App level items have their values, I want to take those values and apply them to the hidden items on my custom form. Unfortunately, it doesn't work how I have things currently. I've verified that the On Demand process is running(by viewing the Session report on the page). So my problem seems to be this: 1. Retrieving the values from the Apex application level items
    2. Setting those values to the values of my hidden items (on my custom form)
    I think the biggest reason why I'm having difficulties is because I have to do a lot of this in the template, since that is the only way to have a separate Form. Maybe my problem is that I don't understand how to reference the Apex application level item value from a different form?
    Thanks,
    Marty

    Marty,
    You are describing this as if you expect the substitution within "&G_ECOM_TIMESTAMP." and the other one to take place in some kind of lexical order, e.g., from the top to the bottom of the HTML. The replacements happen in the engine, before anything is sent to the page. Then the browser interprets language constructs such as javascript calls which in your case includes an ajax invocation of a server-side application process.
    You need to re-think the machinery here.

  • Get parameter value from PLSQL portal Item

    Hi,
    i have some page link like :
    http://server:7777/portal/page?...&myparameter=test
    I don't know how to get myparameter. I want to access this parameter value in a PlSql portal Item in this page
    can somenone help me ?
    is there an API to get those parameters?
    thanks in advance
    Joao

    If do you want to get a parameter value from an item, you'll need to construct a procedure that receive your parameter value and configure your item to call this procedure.
    But If you want to get a parameter from a portal page, first you need to configure the parameter in page properties, construct a portlet and configure "function describe_parameters" to get the parameter and work your parameter in "procedure show".

  • How do I include the radio-button items on a second column as possible answers to the question?

    Using Adobe Acrobat Pro X, we created a fillable PDF from an existing PDF.
    One question can be answered by choosing one of four choices (radio buttons). The answers are laid out in a 2-by-2 arrangement.
    When Acrobat Pro converted the PDF into fillable format, it thought that the radio-button answers on the second column are not part of the question.
    How can I manually override Acrobat and make choices 3 and 4 part of the question.

    Thanks for your reply.
    How do I give each radio button the same name but unique button values?
    I right-clicked the first radio button, chose Properties (Ctrl+I).
    I copied the name: "What is your personal net worth in Canadian dollars including spousecommon law partner if applicable".
    I clicked Close.
    I then went into the Properties dialog window of the third radio button, which is one of the ungrouped choices. I pasted the name [What is your personal net worth in Canadian dollars including spousecommon law partner if applicable]. I then clicked Close.
    I get an error message pop up:
    A field of a different type already uses this name. Please choose a new name for the field, or change the field type to match the existing field with this name.
    What must I do now?
    Thanks.

  • Radio button on a from generated with PL/SQL procedure

    Hi,
    I have a form generated with PL/SQL procedure. This procedure calls another procedure on 'Submit'. If I select value for the radio button, it works fine. But if no value is given to the radio button on the form, it gives error. Is the radio button mandatory field by nature? or do I need to give default value some how? How do I make the radio button optional? so that I can call the next procedure without passing the param.

  • Cannot create additional Radio Button items

    Hi. I am new to Appleworks database, so this my be a stupid question. When I try to add a field and define it as a radio button group, then try to customize the buttons via Options, it normally only shows 2 buttons "Item 1" and "Item 2". I can modify these 2 buttons, but cannot create any other buttons or delete either of these buttons. The "Create" button is greyed out when in Options. I tried re-installing Appleworks with no change.

    Adding to the previous comments:
    You can't delete either of the two items because two is the minimum number of items for a radio button field. The purpose of radio buttons is to allow a choice between (or among) items.
    When you click on either item in the list (and make no change to its label) AppleWorks offers you only the choice to modify it because it won't allow two items with the same label. When you change the label, AppleWorks offers the choice of Modifying the existing button or Creating a new button with the label/item name you've typed into the box.
    Once you've created an additional button it's possible to delete a button without leaving fewer than the minimum two buttons in the field, so AW then adds Delete to the available choices.

  • Dynamically access item names from plsql block?

    hi folks - is it possible to access the block/item names inside a form, from a plsql block within the form? does that make sense, probably not, it's gone 5pm and my brains fried today.
    I want to try and control access to various items from within a back end table. Then in the form startup, I wanted to loop through the item names, fire them through to a check_access() function, and display or hide them depending on the result.
    does that sound possible, to get the item names at runtime, or do I have to hard code each item name I want to pass to the function?
    ps. forms 10g
    thanks.

    yes! check it out:

  • Derive one item value from 2 other supplied values

    I have a form that has 3 fields. One is a renewal_date (date) field, one is a maintenance_term (number - in months) field, and the third is an expiration_date (date) field which I would like to use the add_months functionality to derive this value based on the renewal and maintenance_term. What is the easiest way to accomplish this task?

    Hi,
    You need to add some javascript to your page and call this either in the onchange or onblur events of both items. The script should be something like:
    &lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt;
    function calc()
    var d = document.getElementById("P50_RENEWAL_DATE").value;
    var m = document.getElementById("P50_MAINT_TERM").value;
    if (d != '' && m != '')
       var t = document.getElementById("P50_MAINT_EXPIRY_DATE");
       var tmp = new Date(d);
       var tmp2 = new Date(tmp.getFullYear(), tmp.getMonth() + parseInt(m), tmp.getDate());
       var dd = tmp2.getDate();
       var mm = tmp2.getMonth() + 1;
       var yy = tmp2.getFullYear();
       var out = lpad(mm) + '/' + lpad(dd) + '/' + yy;
       t.value = out;
    function lpad(n)
    var s = "00" + n;
    var l = s.length;
    return s.substring(l - 2);
    &lt;/script&gt;Update your items and add the following in the HTML Form Element Attributes for each:
    onchange="javascript:calc();"or
    onblur="javascript:calc();"You'll have to see which version works for your page.
    Be warned that this javascript assumes that the date is entered in American date format (mm/dd/yyyy) - if it is in any other format, the function will not work.

    Depending on the message the line number might be in one of the fields:
    MESSAGE_V1
    MESSAGE_V2
    MESSAGE_V3
    MESSAGE_V4
    Although if the message simply is not meant to include the line number, it won't be there. That's the way it is. If there is a user exit available, you may add your custom messages with the line number. In some user exits (in sales order for sure) there is a special variable (flag), which is set when the BAPI runs the transaction.
