Radiobutton or Dropdown list inside a matchcode

Is there a way to show an input parameter inside a matchcode not as an standard InputField but as a Dropdown list or as a Radiobutton, in order to limit the choices that the user can made to a limited set of values?

Hi Pietro,
As of my knowldge It is not possible to use Standard OVS functionality in radio button/ dropdwn UI element insted of Input field.
But you can acihve the extended valu help functionality trough custom popup view.
for this first you have to create popup view there u can give multiple input options to user with a search button including a table for multiple results on search criteria and button for getting selected results to main view.
create event on slecting the radio button or dropdown list and call the popup view through that event and pass the requied data to popup view(external model window) through mapping conext from base view to component controller and component controller to the popup view.
Do the context mapping for getting the selected results to main view and/or write the code to get the selected results into main view and show the selected results in main view form / table.
Thanks & Regards,
Bhargava.

    Hi,
    Try this:
    On your customizing screen,
    PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
        Field T_ZT-SDATE
          module create_dateselect.
    In your main program:
    module create_dateselect.
    data:p_date like sy-datum.
    CALL FUNCTION 'F4_DATE'
       EXPORTING
         holiday_calendar_id = 'CN'
         display = ' '
       IMPORTING

  • Calculating dynamic values from dropdown lists

    Hi all, here's the noob question of the day
    I'm creating an invoice form in LiveCycle Designer and I'm totally stuck at tax calculations:
    for each product you're able to choose between two tax percentages from a dropdown list and, at the end of the form, I want to show a total amount of each tax.
    product
    qty
    unit price
    vat
    net price
    red shoes pack
    2
    20$
    4%
    40$
    black shoes pack
    1
    25$
    4%
    25$
    white umbrella
    1
    10$
    7%
    10$
    total net price
    75$
    + TAX 4%
    2.60$
    + TAX 7%
    0.70$
    Total
    78.30$
    How can I set the + TAX 4% and + TAX 7% fields to grab their respective product rows?
    Sorry for my bad english.. I hope you get the question!

    You woudl have to look at each row inside of a for loop and then determine if that row had 4% or 7% tax. Then you coudl keep a running total of the tax for you calcultions such that when the for loop ended you would have the 4 and 7% totals calculated.
    Make sense?

  • Unable to embed External CSS file, dropdown list,filter panel and dimension filter are not working in SAP Design Studio Tool

    Hello Everyone,
    I am new to SAP Design Studio. I am working on creating dashboards and I am using Design Studio 1.2 version. Please suggest some solutions for the following issues. Thanks in Advance.
    1. External CSS file which is embeded using custom CSS option under "application component properties" is not working.
        * I kept the external CSS file inside repository-> my application folder.
    2. During runtime, getting javascript error while selecting '-' option from filter panel.
    3. Unable to select or type dimension name under "dimension filer component" properties.
    4. Getting runtime error for dropdown list, and I have inserted the following code under "onStartup" option of Application component properties.
    "DROPDOWN_1.setItems(DS_1.getMemberList("PRODUCTREF", MemberPresentation.INTERNAL_KEY, MemberDisplay.TEXT, 20));
    and dimension values are not populated in auto suggest."

    There should be an Error Log under View > Error Log that gives you more details of these errors.  Could you add that?  There is also a View > Script Problems log that provides more details as well.

  • Creating a Month dropdown list for a report with multiple datasets

    I am currently working on a report that contains many charts that rely on multiple datasets. Currently, I have parameters @StartDate and @EndDate to display the information of the previous month across all the charts as my default value. Now, I would like
    to create a dropdown list so that the user can pick any month, and have the report display the data across all the charts for that particular month, while keeping the display of the previous month as the default value. Can anyone help as to how I can approach
    this. Would I have to use an expression when I specify my available values, or would I have to create a dataset to get the value of all 12 months? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This is essentially where I am having some trouble, as in creating the dataset that returns the individual months of the year as I am relatively to the use of SSRS. Could you possibly elaborate on how I can do so? Thank you in advance!
    Create a dataset in SSRS
    Inside dataset properties map datasource and then inside give command like
    DECLARE @Month int = 5 --example value
    SELECT ...
    FROM Table
    WHERE datefield >= DATEADD(mm,DATEDIFF(yy,0,GETDATE())*12 +(@Month-2),0)
    AND datefield < DATEADD(mm,DATEDIFF(yy,0,GETDATE())*12 +(@Month-1),0)
    then on refresh it will take field information and parameter information by itself.

  • Capture item by Dropdown list in Interactive Form

    Hi experts,
    I have a problem. I hope to get your suggestion ready.
    I created a WebDynpro Abap that contains within it an Adobe Interactive Forms.
    With the method wddoinit by the component controller I set all values of the fields into interactive forms correctly.
    Inside the form there is a dropdown list which is bind to a table, the list of this dropdown list is filled with properly values of the table which is bind.
    When I select a value from the list dropdown I can not capture the selected item by the table corresponding of the data.
    Carryover below the code I use to recover (unsuccessfully) the values selected by list dropdown:
    DATA:
        node_adobe_data   TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
        node_it0002       TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
        node_stato_civile TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
        elem_stato_civile TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
        stru_stato_civile TYPE wd_this->element_stato_civile.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <ADOBE_DATA> via lead selection
      node_adobe_data = wd_context->get_child_node( name =  wd_this->wdctx_adobe_data ).
    navigate from <ADOBE_DATA> to <IT0002> via lead selection
      node_it0002 = node_adobe_data->get_child_node( name =  wd_this->wdctx_it0002 ).
    navigate from <IT0002> to <STATO_CIVILE> via lead selection
      node_stato_civile = node_it0002->get_child_node( name =  wd_this->wdctx_stato_civile ).
    get element via lead selection
      elem_stato_civile = node_stato_civile->get_lead_selection( ).
    get single attribute
      elem_stato_civile->get_static_attributes(
        IMPORTING
         static_attributes = stru_stato_civile ).
    The problem persist also if I use the method GET_LEAD_SELECTION_INDEX.
    The return value always is the first item and not what I selected.
    I wait trusting your suggestions to solve the problem.
    Regards.

    Hi Davide,
    Maybe you can try to keep your own Index parameter (Integer) to keep track of the selected index.
    Then use that parameter to select data from your node:
    node_stato_civile->get_static_attributes(
        exporting
          index             = wd_this->lv_index
        importing
          static_attributes = stru_stato_civile
    Hope this helps.

  • Dropdown list in infotype table control

    Hello,
    I am creating a custom HR infotype with dropdown list field. This field holds a key but displays a text from text table. Dropdowns contents are dependant on Start Date of the infotype record and I am using PBO module to fetch this data. Everything works fine except one detail. Infotype has automatically generated overview table control, which holds various data including Start Date of infotype record and the dropdown field in question. And even that would work well if not for the date, in case when I drop the date check dropdowns in all rows get populated. Currently it seems to only use the date on the last row of the table control and subsequently fails to correctly populate dropdowns in all other rows. With no access to SAP code which populates table control, how do I get the date for each individual row?
    Best regards, Armins

    Hi Marty,
    For this you have to create 2 nodes
    1. A node which will be bound to the table. This will  be a singleton node.
    2. A node for dropdown. This node should be inside the table node and should be a non-singleton one.
    Check the singleton properties of both the nodes above.
    Whenever you will create an element for table node, an instance of the dropdown node will be automatically created.
    To set the value in this dropdown at leadselection, you can use the below logic
    1. Assume you know the value of the fruit to be set in the dropdown
    2. for(int i = 0; i < wdContext.nodeFruit().size(); i++)
              if( wdContext.currentTableNode().nodeFruit().getFruitElementAt(i).getFruit().equals(fruitName) )
                    wdContext.currentTableNode().nodeFruit().setLeadSelection(i);
                    break;
    Hope this helps you.

  • Custom draw dropdown list items

    Hi all,
    I'm working on porting some plugins from CS6 to CC 2014.
    One issue I'm stumped upon, is that with CS6, I'm able to customize the drawing behavior of items inside a dropdown, by overriding the methods in "IOwnderDrawItem", that was aggregated on "kDropDownListWidgetBoss".
    But it seems that with CC SDK,
      - The "IOwnerDrawItem" is no longer aggregated to "kDropDownListWidgetBoss", and
      - The "IOwnerDrawItem" no longer has the "DrawItem" method.
    The porting guide does not seem to provide a solution for this. So I'm looking for help about how I can achieve this with CC.
    Thanks a lot.
    -Jeff

    I think I have found the solution/workaround for this. Just posting back here as I do see there are quite some viewers, and hope this would help others that run into this same issue.
    Basically, I think the previous SDKs allowed "DrawItem" that essentially provided a quick shortcut to allow custom drawing of items inside a string-content dropdown list. And inside the method implementation, you would need to grab the string content of the item, retrieve the more domain specific data based on the string, and draw things out.
    And with CC SDK, it seems that it wants to discourage this shortcut, and promote encapsulation of dropdown list items. So now, you'll have to declare a custom widget type (extending "kBaseWidgetBoss"), that aggregates a custom implementation of "IID_ICONTROLVIEW", which does the custom drawing. And when populating the dropdown, you'll need to create instances of the custom widget type, and put them into the dropdown list via dropdown controller.
    And for the dropdown list itself, you might want to declare your custom type by extending "kOwnerDrawDDListWidgetBoss", where you can then provide custom implementation of "IID_IOWNERDRAWITEM", to achieve specific item measuring needs.
    I think all of this is good intent and cleaner, just that I wished there were clearer instructions in the porting guide.

  • Dropdown list behaviour

    Hi there,
    I am using Designer 8.2 (within SAP) to generate an Interactive Form. A dropdown list is filled with almost 1000 entries. This forms works OK by opening it with Adobe Reader 9. The problem comes when I tried to use it in a mobile device, Motorola MC75, WM6.1.
    The form and even the dropdown list opens ok, but the problem comes when I select certain items from the dropdown. When the field looses its focus, the item changes by itself, normally to an item at the bottom of the list.
    I couldn't find any pattern whatsoever that gives me a hint about this problem.
    Has anybody run into something similar?
    Is there any special consideration in populating a table used as a source of a dropdown regarding the Item Code and Item Text?
    Thanks a lot for any help!
    Cheers,

    Hi Otto,
    Yes, backend is OK. I even tested it in a mobile phone that has the same problem.
    Javascript, good catch! Adobe Reader for Pocket PC doesn't support Javascript and I have to say, I also found some limitations with Formcalc.
    We're in touch with the provider of the devices, and even talked with Adobe Australia, but with no luck.
    It was helpful to read your answers tough. Makes me see that I tried almost everything I can think of.
    Hi Robert, nice work you had to do!
    You're right about the limitation, which is 50 and applies for Java WD and Online Interactive Forms. It's setting within the SAP Visual Administrator. There are several threads devoted to this. I don't think this is the case for me, as I alredy checked it. The issue remains with only 25 items!
    I finally give up and blame the "Pocket PC + Adobe Reader for Pocket PC + Adobe Interactive Offline Form" combination. There is a lack of support for this, and it's a shame because it could have a great potential.
    I replace those dropdowns with radiobuttons (weird, but works for my requirement) and leave a couple of dropdowns that haven't given me any problem so far, fingers crossed.
    I will leave the thread open for a few days, in case any of you SAP gurus want to share more.
    Cheers!
    Andres.

  • Add multiple entries to dropdown list without using data dictionary

    Hi,
    By default when we use a data dictionary element for dropdown list, all the possible values are listed in the dropdown. However when no data dictionary element is used for the dropdown list, it behaves like a parameter with a single line.
    I would like to know if it is possible to not use the data dictionary element and still have multiple lines in the dropdown.
    Thanks in advance.

  • PCUI: Remove "Search in database/Archive" dropdown list in Opportunities

    Hi,
    I'd like to remove the "Search in database/Archive" dropdown list in the extended search in the Opportunities application (Z)CRMD_BUS2000111. The customer is not using an archive and as such this is a waste of screen real estate in his opinion (rightfully so, I'd say).
    Now, I haven't seen a reference to this dropdown list in the fieldgroup definition, but I have seen the "data sources for queries" (I guess that's what it is called in english) node with two entries in there, Archive and Database.
    Should I just delete the entry for the archive from there? Is is not used by other applications, and would I break something else with this?
    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
    Goto the transaction CRMC_BLUEPRINT.
    In this transaction go to the following path.
    Layout of People-Centric UI -> Application Element -> Search Group -> Search scenario
    Inside this path select the entry OPP_GROUP and double-click on assign shuffler.
    You would find two entries in the next screen. If you remove these entries the field would not appear in the Opportunity advanced search.
    Reward points if this helped solve your problem!
    Jash.
