  • Stored procedure in BI Publisher

    hello
    I know how I can manage stored procedures in my database, is there any way I can call them from BI Publisher.

    If you want to use the stored procedure to return your dataset for the BI publisher report, then you can use them in conjunction with the pipelined table functions. You can call the procedure(and pass the parameters) within the function and pipe the rows to a table. In the BI publisher data model, the sql would be:
    select a.*
    from table(my_pkg.func_get_data(:param1, :param2))a
    Search the forum and/or check the following out: http://winrichman.blogspot.com/search/label/pipelined

    Thanks!
    P.S: Sorry, didn't see Vetsrini's post.

  • How call procedure or package from Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.2.1

    Hi Gurus,
    I need to call a procedure or package from Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.2.1 by passing parameters, I do it because it would be easier to fill a table as the report that asks for is too complex (8 breaks, 5 dblinks, 20 tables, etc).
    I'm not using the Oracle XML. Review include the following solutions:
    Re: Stored procedures and dynamic columns
    Re: Is it possible to use Stored Procedures in BI Publisher GUI?
    Re: PL/SQL Stored Procedure w/ XML Template?
    But none of them useful for me was the level of complexity.
    Best regards.

    Hi Vetsrini,
    I write the sentence as it showed in the previous thread
    select from whc_kk_v2.whc_p_kk_publisher (pv_msgerror =>: msgerror,*
    pv_pro1 =>: prov_1,
    pv_pro2 =>: prov_2)
    run when I get the error BIP
    ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    Show me I'm doing wrong, or who may be causing the error. I tried everything but does not leave, please your help.
    Best regards

  • Adding meta tags to published web site

    I have created my website using iWeb and subsequently downloaded the RAVE SEO tool and used it to add for meta tags to my sites (description and keywords).
    I followed this procedure:
    1) I published my site from iWeb to a local folder on my iMac
    2) I added the meta tags using the RAVE SEO tool
    3) I tried to publish the site to my webhotel with tags added using the ftp tool in the RAVE SEO tool.
    PROBLEM:
    when I publish from the SEO tool, it is the old sites which are published. In my local folder where I started out publishing the web site to, I can see that the tags from description and keywords have been added. But the site which is published does not contain the tags.
    I have a feeling that the SEO tool is looking in a wrong foder, but I cannot change the folder using the "FTP Details" funktion in the SEO tool.
    Do anyone have a suggestion for what to do?
    Thanks,
    Klaus

    I have a feeling that the SEO tool is looking in a wrong foder, but I cannot change the folder using the "FTP Details" funktion in the SEO tool.
    When you click publish and choose FTP you can create a new setup or use an existing one.
    And if you do not know which folder to publish to, click browse. You decide.

  • A problem when referring to a stored procedure in a crystal report

    Hi all,
    I've checked that when calling one stored-procedure within a crystal report, one sequence will be selected for 2 times. Thus 2 will be added to the corr. sequence No. And I've also directly ran such procedure in 'SQL/Plus' that follows, to make sure that actually the corr. sequence will be referenced by only once.
    SQL> execute p_rpT_FCL_col (:te, 'ZIMU00000537SJU',:GRP)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> print :te
    TE
    17
    SQL> execute p_rpT_FCL_col (:te2, 'ZIMU00000537SJU',:GRP)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> print :te2
    TE2
    18
    Bst Rgds,
    Edward

    Well, can you please post the details about your stored proc?
    <quote> I've checked that when calling one stored-procedure within a crystal report, one sequence will be selected for 2 times. Thus 2 will be added to the corr. sequence No.</quote>
    Question: What do you mean by that? How many times did you run the report?
    More details please.

  • Advantages/Disadvantages to publishing to folder

    I recently received very good advice here regarding publishing & having my iWeb site HOSTED by godaddy.com. I cleaned up my website (I think) by publishing to a folder and using Web Site Maestro. I also got Cyberduck and now my next question is this:
    *If I publish to a folder and then upload to godaddy.com to continue HOSTING, will I be able to use the "Add A Comment" on my Blog, and also use the "Counter Box"?*
    I understand about "Forwarding & Masking" to MobileMe as I already have godaddy.com doing this on another website of mine. The reason I wanted godaddy.com to HOST my new website is that I now have four websites on my iWeb 09. 1st one (for family) is published to MobileMe, the 2nd one (for old college friends) is also on MobileMe, AND I use godaddy.com for FORWARDING & MASKING because this site is more public. The 3rd ( for a soccer team) also has FORWARDING & MASKING for the same reason.
    My 4th & newest web site is really public, and that is the prime reason I wanted HOSTING separate from MobileMe. Also because I ran into trouble trying to publish it with the multiple MobileMe sites, with stuff getting re-directed every which way.
    *SO, my dilemma:*
    It is of the _utmost importance_ to have the Blogging "Add A Comment" capability with my 4th web site. I searched Discussions and found some information about using "Word Press" and embedding on my Blog page per Mr. Old Toad. However, I really do not want to spend any more money, and I did not like any of the other possibilities when I Googled other options.
    *The other part of this is that if I change the newest site to having godaddy.com do FORWARDING & MASKING to my MobileMe, will I run into the same problem with the three other sites already published?*
    If the answer to my first question is OK to use Cyberduck to keep all my features, then I will go that route. If not, then I really need some good advice.
    Thank you for your attention to this issue - I do not know what I would do without this forum.

    When you publish your site to a folder you should be informed that you will loose MobileMe features such as blog comments and hit counter etc.
    You can still host directly with GoDaddy, but what you can do instead is to create a blog with WordPress - this is completely free. You can either use WordPress.com (http://www.wordpress.com) where you choose a blog name and your blog is then published directly to WordPress. You can then create a link from your website to your WordPress blog - this is the option that I use for my own blog with WordPress.
    If you are using GoDaddy to host, your other option is to use WordPress.org (http://www.wordpress.org). With GoDaddy, you have the ability to load WordPress on your server and then your blog will be http://www.domain.com/blog. You can create a link from your site again or embed it into your site. This again is free and will be included as part of your hosting package with GoDaddy.
    As Old Toad has said, you can also use the JS.Kit commenting system, but to get this onto your site it does mean that you will have to publish your site to a folder and open it using an html editor such as TextWrangler to be able to enter the javascript code on the page where you want the comments to appear - would you be able to do this? If not, then it is probably not worth it.
    If you publish to MobileMe and use GoDaddy for masking and forwarding it is not going to affect any of your other websites at all - when forwarding and masking all you do is forward the appropriate domain name to web.me.com/username/sitename, so as long as your site has a different site name and you make sure that you forward your domain name to the correct site name, then it won't affect anything else that you have.

  • Problem of java stored procedure

    hi,
    now I use the oracle9i JDeveloper9.0.3.1 to develop java stored procedure and then publish it to oracle9i database.
    In the database I create PL/SQL procedure to invoke the java stored procedure.But I encounter the problem,that is ,when I run the PL/SQL procedure ,it throw the java.lang.NullPointerException ,while the java class,the java stored procedure can run correctly invoked by the main class of java.The code of the java stored procedure is as follows:
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.util.Properties;
    public class SQLServerEventDistribute
    public static void sqlServerSaveData(String hostName,String databaseName,String user,String password,String tableName,int x1,int y1,int x2,int y2,String ip)
    String url="",sql="",userName="",passwd="";
    Connection connection;
    Statement statement;
    url="jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://"+hostName+":1433;DatabaseName="+databaseName+";User="+user+";Password="+password;
    sql="INSERT INTO "+tableName+" VALUES("+x1+","+y1+","+x2+","+y2+",'"+ip+"')";
    Properties property=new Properties();
    property.setProperty(userName,user);
    property.setProperty(passwd,password);
    try
    Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver");
    // DriverManager.registerDriver(new com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver());
    connection=DriverManager.getConnection(url,property);
    statement=connection.createStatement();
    statement.execute(sql);
    }catch(ClassNotFoundException connectSQLServerEx)
    System.out.println(connectSQLServerEx.getMessage());
    catch(SQLException connectSQLServerEx)
    System.out.println(connectSQLServerEx.getMessage()+connectSQLServerEx.getErrorCode());
    the main class is as follows:
    public class Test
    public static void main(String[] args)
    SQLServerEventDistribute.sqlServerSaveData("gsm","gsmd","sa","sa","IPBinding",11,45,24,21,"23.1.248.12");
    and the PL/SQL procedure is as follows:
    PROCEDURE TEST AS
    BEGIN
    SQLSERVERSAVEDATA('gsm','gsmd','sa','sa','IPBinding',11,45,24,21,'23.1.248.22');
    END;
    How can I deal with it?
    can you tell me?
    thanks

    Hi JavaQQ,
    This is just a guess, but I think you need to load the
    Micro$oft SQLServer JDBC driver into the Oracle
    database (using the "loadjava" utility).
    In any case, there are several ways -- apart from JDBC
    -- for accessing a different database from within an
    Oracle database. Have you tried searching the Oracle
    Web sites for suitable products?
    Hope this helps.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.abramia ,thank you very much.
    but I have load the Microsoft SQLServer JDBC driver into the Oracle database .
    When I debugged the PL/SQL procedure,the exception was thrown at line connection=DriverManager.getConnection(url,property);
    What's the problem with it?

  • On preview or publish captivate 4 plays all animations

    Hello,
    I have a weird problem.  I have two slides that previously ran well on preview and publish.  First, I tried importing them into my presentationg, but captivate went crazy with them...it seemed to try to play all of my text animations at once, made weird clicking sounds, the tool bar moved to the top of the screen and the whole thing just flashed.  So, I deleted the two imported slides and the presentation went fine.  I found a posting here that suggested copying the slides instead of importing, so i tried that.  No luck.  So I rebuilt the two slides and tried  again.  No luck.  I can get the two slides to run fine when by themselves, but when I either put them into my main project or vice versa, it goes wacky.  After such attempts, I have to rebuild the slides, because they no longer work by themselves.  I have checked every setting I can think of to make sure they match in both files (I start with a template, so they SHOULD match).
    I have adequate RAM and other such things on my computer.  I run windows 7 and have updated captivate.
    Thank you anyone for your help.
    Teresa

    I had the same problem, where graphics (images) placed on a page are simply NOT WYSIWYG. That said, it turns out the internal mechanisms of MUSE do track the position of things, and so, by, for example, placing an image ON TOP OF TEXT can solve its location issue. You simply adjust based on reviewing the HTML/CSS. It's a bit hit and miss. The resultant HTML and CSS will place the image correctly, even though it looks awful onscreen. This problem seems to occur in longer length (scroll down) type pages.
    Now THAT said, another problem: MUSE does not UPLOAD ALL, but always uploads only new files. Problems on web review of a site disappear (and this of course, could involve the server used) disappear, for the most part, when you manually delete BOTH the HTML and CSS of the particular page FIRST, then MANUALLY, through a third party FTP program, upload the good HTML and CSS. This assumes you have already uploaded the required media.

  • Scripted JDBC and Oracle Stored Procedure with in/out Array

    The com.waveset.util.pooledconnection used by Scripted JDBC Adapter extends java.sql.connection.
    I need to pass an Varchar2 Array to the Stored Procedure. I tried using the oracle.sql.ARRAY and oracle.sql.ArrayDescriptor to pass the values, but get a casting exception,as the polledconnection implements only the java.sql.connection and not oracle.sql.connection.
    What are my options of using java.sql.Array with a PL/SQL procedure that takes a varchar2 array as in out parameter?
    Thanks

  • Stored procedure with IN and OUT parameter

    HI all,
    here is code example
    declare
             in_dt date  := '1-feb-2010' ;

    col2 ...;

    begin

            col2,
            col3
      from table_xyz e
      where e.start_dt  = in_dt;
    end;
    How do i convert the above code into stored procedure by accepting "in_dt" as IN parameter and getting the result set displayed (output) through OUT parameter say "cur_out" (OUT paramter)
    Thank you so much !!! I really appriciate it !!

  • Problem when call store procedure over a database link

    Hi all,
    I've create a database link in server "EAST" similar like:
    CREATE DATABASE LINK db_link CONNECT TO tiger IDENTIFIED BY scott USING 'abc';
    and from server "EAST" i ran the procedure located in server "WEST" somethin like:
    exec testing_procedure@db_link('test');
    testing_procedure is look like:
    Create or Replace procedure testing_procedure (p_testing in varchar2)
    as
    cursor check_space is
    select sum(bytes)/1024/1204 tb_size
    from dba_data_files;
    my_check_space%ROWTYPE;
    begin
    open check_space;
    loop
    fetch check_space into my_check_space;
    exit when check_space%NOTFOUND;
    insert into test_tf@db_link (test, tb_value) values
    (p_testing, my_check_space.tb_size);
    end loop;;
    close check_space;
    end;
    and my problem is when i'm run procedure from "EAST" server, the values in test_tf table is the same as when you run that procedure from "WEST" server. I've check the size for both server "EAST", and "WEST" by select sum(bytes)/1024/1204 command. And the value is completely different. And i guest somehow it reuse the value of "WEST" server no matter when you run that procedure in "EAST" server. Any suggesttion, please give me some advices.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    If this procedure is in WEST server then even if you call it from some another planet using db link, the cursor inside the procedure will fetch the data from that server only means WEST server. So "select sum(bytes)/1024/1204 tb_size
    from dba_data_files;" statement in your procedure always fetch the size of the datafiles belongs to the WEST database.
    If you want to store the data of two different databases then you have to create the similar procedure in EAST database also.
    BTW, you said the you created a database link "db_link" in EAST database to point to WEST database and on WEST database you have that procedure BUT I don't understand why r u using "db_link" in your procdure code in WEST server in this insert statement:
    insert into test_tf@db_link (test, tb_value) values
    (p_testing, my_check_space.tb_size);Is there a database link on that box also?? Where it is pointing to?? And if not then this code should not be compiled.

  • Mark Evaluation Procedure

    Hi Zubin,
    Can I get information about the certification exam marks?
    Do they give 1 mark for each question and convert into percentage?
    OR
    Are there give 2 or 3 marks for any question?
    I'm just confused about this mark evaluation. Radio button option questions have 1 option so, is it carries 1 mark? and multi choice quests have 2 or 3 answers so, is it carries 2 or 3 marks? Totally there are 80 questions and passing minimum is 55%. How are they calculating?
    Please give the procedure of calculation.
    Thanks in advance.
    Uma Iswarya Shalini

    It is very simple.
    They give 1 mark to each question and then these are converted into %age.
    Atleast that is what happened with my FI certification.
    No negative marking.
    Guess that simplifies and there is no such defined "PROCEDURE" that is published. So this is it.
    All the best!
    Let me know if useful
    And on this forum, maintain a habit of closing the threads once your queries are solved. That is how it works here
