Hi,
I have re-uploaded the original page (without the
modifications) and now that's not even working properly. People
cannot submit it properly and of couse it is not calling upon the
"thanks for your submission" page. This is so odd because nothing
was tampered with. The only think I did was change the file name -
temporarily and then re-title it back to it's original file name.

When I checked the behaviours panel...all I saw was: onLoad
for preloading images (which is irrelevant to the form).

Hi!
We would like to extract some data from SAP tables and record this data in another Oracle database.
Is it possible for ASP to execute a function (RFC) to extract this data from SAP tables and then record it on Oracle database?
I think its a more ASP question then SAP but no one in my company knows how to do it.

if its below was6.10 then your option is to use DCOM connector or .net connector

Problem Calling a Java class from PLSQL function

We are calling a Java class through oracle function as
FUNCTION CalculateAMW (contributorid IN Number,

RETURN Number
AS LANGUAGE JAVA
NAME 'AMWCalculations.calculateAMW

on execution of this function the sql prompt for the 1st time it is giving the output
but
if reexecute it is throwing and error ORA - 932 : Inconsistent
datatypes.
Recompiling the java class then it works for the 1st time and the next
time
we execute it throws error as explained above.
What could be the problem.

Validating login and password via ODBC

Hi,
We've written an ASP web application that accesses the Oracle database for various retrieve / store functions as we go. On the first screen the user enters their Oracle username and password, and these values are POSTed to each page and used whenever it needs to make a connection. We can connect using a valid login/password just fine, but an invalid combination returns an OLEDB error. Anyone know how we can catch an OLEDB error and display a user-friendly "Invalid login / password" message onn that first screen instead?
I know it's really an ASP question, but surely we can't be the only people on the planet who've tried to do this?

Mmm, its pretty clear he's using the ASP programming language. Try some On Error statements... Double-check your username/password is right. But even before the attempt to make a successful conncetion through your ODBC Manager.

Canon 550D videos don't sync to iPhone 4

So here is the scenario:
1) a Canon 550D Digital SLR (T2i Rebel) latest firmware + 8GB class 10 SD Card
2) a 2010 iMac 21.5" 3.2GHz with latest Mac OS X, iLife 11 (iPhoto 11)
3) an iPhone 4 and an iPad both with latest iOS
4) iTunes latest version
I shoot HD videos with the canon camera and take the SD card out of the camera, plug it into the iMac and I import the photos and videos into iPhoto 11 (iPhoto 11 import utility comes up automatically when I plug the SD card in)
I move the photos and videos to a new album in iPhoto 11
I connect my iPhone 4 to the iMac and iTunes starts automatically. I make sure the iPhoto album mentioned above is checked to sync with my iPhone. Then I sync the phone.
result: the album is synched to iPhone & the iPad but _*only the photos are copied, none of the videos shot on the canon 550D are synced to the devices.*_
as a work-around. I am able to import the videos into iMovie 11 and created a project then export the movie to 720p HD format and then import that movie back into iPhoto and move it to the album then sync down to the iPhone/iPad! insane round trip
I tried shooting in different resolution types (the canon T2i can shoot H.264 .mov HD videos in 1920 x 1080 (HD 30/25/24 fps), 1280 x 720 (HD 60/50 fps), 640 x 480 (60/50 fps))
It just seems like the iPhone 4 and iPad do not support these original HD videos despite the fact that they are stored as H264 and in a .mov file.
The workaround I described above is not really a useful or convenient solution. finding it hard to believe all this latest and greatest hardware isn't capable of supporting a simple task like this!?
been searching for an answer, but it seems like no one is asking the question. so either the solution must be really simple and I'm over complicating things, or no one has a need to do what I'm trying to do here.
Haven't tried pulling the videos off the camera through USB wire instead of taking the SD card out. not sure if that makes any difference.

I'm still learning video formats and encoding, much of that is still a mystery to me.
So based on apple's specs, iOS devices support H.264 videos up to 720p @ 30 fps. and I assume that 720p is 1280x720 based on definition I found online. I also assume that 720p can be shot at 30 fps or at a higher 60fps...
It looks like the T2i doesn't shoot 1280x720 at 30 fps, but it does support 1280x720 at 60 fps (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_eos550d.asp). question: would those videos (shot at 1280x720 60 fps) playback natively on the iOS devices?
If not, and I'm stuck with converting the video to an iOS supported format, Any thoughts on how you'd simplify this workflow (from camera to iPhone). The way I'm doing it right now seems like overkill. I wonder if there are fewer steps to get the same outcome!

Expectation: comment will appear in the HTM file after

Reality: comment is fails to appear in the HTM file after

Miscellaneous: used same procedure with other files in
project and got same results.

Would you expect a comment entered into a file in TrueCode to
appear in the HTM file after WebHelp is generated?
Do you know of any reason why a comment in TrueCode would not
be generated into WebHelp?
Do you know of a way to get a comment into WebHelp using RH

I realize that members of this community have the best
intentions when they offer ideas for solving problems. I appreciate
that this forum doesn't kill posts that mention non-Adobe products.
But, I have a major concern. If this community keeps turning to
outside products to get the job done, then Adobe has no motivation
to improve RoboHelp.
Over the years, I used native Adobe products, as well as
Adobe products acquired via acquisition. Time and again, Adobe made
numerous improvements to its products. Yet, innovation seems
lacking in RoboHelp. For example, the search and replace in
Dreamweaver is far superior to that of RoboHelp. Yet, RoboHelp
users seem inclined to buy another piece of software rather than
push Adobe into finding a way to incorporate Dreamweaver's search
and replace into RoboHelp. The innovation and code are already
there, but nobody is pushing Adobe to share Dreamweaver technology
with RoboHelp. Instead, they're willing to buy another product to
get the job done. Why?
Part of my reason for pushing Adobe is that I work in an IT
shop where we follow the basic premises of programming:
scalaibility, reliability, robustness, security, and simplicity. I
could use a second product to solve my problem but that violates
the tenet of simplicity. That is, it adds a layer of complexity. If
I run a second process manaually, then I must be sure not to forget
a single file. If I automate the process, I need to build a routine
(probably using a third piece of software) to be sure that the
automated process worked as intended. I must also build in an alert
mechanism (probably using a fourth piece of software) to notify me
in case the automated process fails. Experience shows that greater
complexity dramatically increases the likelihood of failure.
I appreciate all of the suggestions. I encourage everybody to
continue to share ideas. I also encourage everyone to realize that
product users have influenced product development at Adobe. This
community can help Adobe to improve RoboHelp.

Oracle database on ASP model - question

my orale 8i database is running on sun solaris and the whole
front end is an ASP model product.
for every customer we have separate schemas and the same set of
all database objects are there in every schema.
this is going well.
my questions is: instead of putting the same set of pl/sql
procedures & functions into every schemas. Is it possible to have
a centralized procedure & function and whenever invoked, it
should work on the invoked schema's tables.
any ideas would help.
(the reason i'm asking is, it is hard to maintain the version of
the procedures & functions across the schemas)

Flash + ASP easy question

Hello!
This is my 1st time doing Flash + ASP integration.
Each time i see a tutorial using this 2, all i see is: Flash
has dynamic fields with var named the same as the one in ASP. Then
it sends data to ASP and he returns the var value and it is written
in that var dynamic field.
My question is:
Can i start my vars as Strings (not using those dynamic
fields), send the data to ASP, ASP returns as i will stay with the
value inside my 1st var?
Example:

loadVariables ("myAsp.asp", "this", POST);
// if i have a myVar being send from asp i will get here the
result:

Dropped order question - windows, asp

Windows server, asp.
I built this cart and I occasionally get complaints from
customers that
their order was dropped. At first I suspected that they were
letting their
computer sit still too long and the session timed-out but it
seems as though
there's another problem.
I'm wondering if this is typical for a shopping cart.
Also, is there a good way to monitor this sort of activity?
The problem I am
having is duplicating the event that cased the cart to fail.
Because I can't
duplicate it, I can't fix it.
Any ideas welcome.

I setup my .PNGs with no interlacing however when I go to export if I leave the field order as upper it ruins my lower-thirds slightly. So the issue still remains.
If you enlarge these pictures you'll see that my progressive lower-thirds which are being exported from a 1080i upper field seqeunce get slightly jagged when leaving it as upper-field but if I select progressive when exporting from my upper field sequence then it looks fine but the problem with that is that it messes up my footage unless I use the Modify-Intertept option and change the footage to progressive that way. But that gets a bit old having to click each clip I have from our studio to change it's field order.
The other strange thing that I'm hoping that can be explained is that if I export to HD instead of exporting to SD it doesn't appear to hurt anything however if I export from my HD upper field sequence to SD upper field it screws up my progressive lower-thirds. It also messes them up even if I try using the interlaced lower-thirds I made initially.

Question about asp access

I'm trying to get information from a MS Access database to a Java applet. I think the easiest way to do this is to use ASP. I got the asp page working to access the database and print its contents but I have no idea how the applet can access that information. I know nothing about asp and got the connection code from a tutorial. Can anyone tell me how I can access the information from a Java applet?

wouldn't use an input stream would you?Same way. Don't confuse the input stream with "input to a database". It's just the response from the service, and also the way to actually get the service (URL) to be invoked. Of course, for updating the database, you're probably going to want to pass the service something, telling it what to update. Passing it something is done (or can be done, as one way) by putting the information on the URL, like:
http://some/path/update.asp?key=abc&newValue...
And if you have any links to tutorials on asp database code,

Flash + ASP + Excel question

Hello everyone:
Here is my problem:
I need to display an .asp file from flash that converts some
data from an MSSQL Server Database (on the web) to an Excel table.
The .asp file uses the MIME Code:
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
This .asp works fine, but when I try to access the file from
a Flash Application using
loadVariables("myasp.asp", this);, it does not do anything.
Is there any other way to access this file from flash?, and
if there is, what am I doing wrong?
