Re: Transport Domain configuration

Hi friends,
Is it possible to add system in more than one transport domain? If possible how to add that?
Any help would be highly appreciated?
Thanks,
krishna

Hi Krishna,
As far as I understand SAP supports multiple transport groups not transport domain. For one system landscape there should be only one transport domain But then I am no Basis Administrator.

  • Four system transport domain configuration

    Hi,
Currently we have three system landscape DEV>QA>Prod
Now we are introducing one more environment (Training) .That means when you release the request from QA then it has to be populate to Production and Training environment.
Now my question is how to configure STMS for 4 system landscape?
Please suggest if you have done this scenario.

    Hi Bernard,
I thought of moving it to another forum (NW Admin), but then I discovered it was there already... (cross-posted)... together with 154 other "unresolved" questions
The question of the transport domain, group, controller, etc design (in general) does have security related aspects, so I will leave it open.

  • Transport domain configuration error

    Hi,
We have made a homogeneous system copy of our R/3 production system to create a test system.
The copy has the same SID as the source system and is installed as a local system rather than a domain - this is a Windows environment. The source system is the domain controller for the transport domain.
I have run SE06 in the copied system and am now trying to reconfigure STMS to set it up as a single system in it's own domain.
However, when I go into t/action STMS I am prompted to join the production domain - which I didn't expect, so I select Other configuration and enter appropriate values there but am getting error:-
Local TMS configuration is inconsistent in N3P
    Message number XT 123
Can anybody advise how to resolve this?
    Regards
    Richard

    1. Did you follow changing SID name and post database copy steps at database level first?
    2. If you have done above, I hope you have deleted existing Transport configuration from SE06. If you haven't pls do.
    3. Then,  At transport domain controller, please remove this system ( if this system existed earlier)
    4. Now, try joining domain.
    It should work!

  • How Do I Move Production from one Transport Domain to another

    Hi,
We are prepping for our upgrade from R/3 4.7 to ERP 6.  I have created new Dev and QAS systems in a new transport domain for the upgrade.  A new transport Domain was created for the upgrade landscape, and a placeholder "virtual" system was created for production in this domain.
Now, before I start the upgrade, I would like to change the transport domain of our production system to be included in the new TP Domain.
    Thanks for any suggestions!
    Tom

I have figured this out.  I changed the profile parameters to point to the new server and bounced the instance.
I also changed the TP Domain in the Solution Manager to the new domain.
I logged in to the old domain controller, and deleted the production system from the System Overview, and propogated the configuration.  This essentially removed the production system from the landscape.
I then logged on to the production system in client 000 and when I brought up STMS it automatcially suggested the new transport domain.  I accepted this and the system was added pending approval.
After logging in to the new domain controller, client 000, I approved the system and it replaced the previously virtual system with the actual production system.
I hope this helps others in the future.

  • Password issue in Transport Domain

    Hi
We was getting some problem while releasing the transport request in ERD (SAP Dev server). We was getting error 12. I tried different option but did not worked and then we decided to re-configure the Transport domain (deleted old trasnport route using SE06 and then re-created transport domain using STMS). Now, ERD is the domain controller and ERQ (QA server) and ERP (Producation server) is the part of domain controller. I created one test transport request in ERD and moved to ERQ.
Everything work fine but have one issue. When i was creating the domain controller using my user ID in client 000 (with sap_all authorization), it asked me couple of times password for productive client and client 000. When i was adding ERQ and ERD, it again asked for my passwords (2 to 3 times for each system). I'm not able to understand it.
I created transport request in ERD and release it. When i was trying to move the same transport to ERQ server (i logged on ERQ server to transport request), it again asked password for ERD, ERQ and ERD servers.
Looking forward the solution of this problem. Not sure, if i need to set some profile parameter to avoid to enter pasword or something else.
Pls suggest to solve this problem.
    Thanks
    Amar

    Thanks Siva for quick reply.
I checked the connection as you mentioned. Connection test is ok but Auth test  failed:
'Connection Test TMSADM at ERQ.DOMAIN_ERD '
    Password logon no longer possible.
Same error for all three system. I think, something worng with the 'TMSADM'.
As mentioned earlier, there was some issue in transport domain. To solve the problem, we deleted all RFC for TMS* in SM59 of ERD/ERQ/ERP server. Deleted transport route using SE06 and re-cretaed Domain controller and then added the ERQ/ERP in domain controller. ERD is the domain controller.
I had not deleted user TMSADM in client 000 before re-configuring the transport domain. Not sure, if i should delete user TMSADM in all three servers  and re-create the domain contoller. Any suggestion on this?
Problem seem to be for the password of TMSADM user ID. Checking more in details.
    Thanks

  • Include a system in two different Transport Domain Controller

    Hi folks,
I s it possible to configure a system in two different transport Domain Controller?
The two domain controllers will be in the same /usr/sap/trans file system.
    thanks,

    Hello Má
Firstly to include system in the transport domain you need to have systems sharing common transport directory. Which you confirmed is the case.
Now when you try to change the Transport Domain of the system to make it part of another system it will overwrite current configuration.
Hence you wont be able to make one system part of two Domains.
There is no workaround available best of my infomation.

  • OSB 11g Domain Configuration.

    Hello,
I am having trouble understanding the results of the OSB 11g domain configuration. In creating the domain i have selected the following options:
    Oracle Service Bus OWSM Extension
Oracle Service Bus Extension - All domain topologies
Weblogic Advanced Web Services for JAX-RPC Extension
    Oracle WSM Policy Manager
    Oracle JRF
I have selected the 'all domain topologies' as i wish to end up with an 'AdminServer' (using port 7001) and 'osb_server1' (using port 8011). Everything installs without a problem, its that i just don't understand the outcome. The OSB transport providers and adpaters (FTP, File, Db, AQ, etc) are targeted at both the admin server and the osb managed server. I also notice that the osb console is targeted only at the admin server. The confusion comes from the fact that when i use the OSB console application to create a project which i then test (successfully) it appears to all be deployed and running on the admin server? This is based on the fact that the URL used to invoke the OSB proxy service has to specify the port of the admin server. I would have thought that the url to access the proxy service would have been directed at the managed server?
Can someone confirm / explain to me what is going on or why it works this way, please?

The OSB transport providers and adpaters (FTP, File, Db, AQ, etc) are targeted at both the admin server and the osb managed server.Your observation is correct.
I also notice that the osb console is targeted only at the admin server.Yes. This is by design.
The confusion comes from the fact that when i use the OSB console application to create a project which i then test (successfully) it appears to all be deployed and running on the admin server? No. This cannot happen. When you activate the configuration, OSB deploys configuration to the managed server.
This is based on the fact that the URL used to invoke the OSB proxy service has to specify the port of the admin server. I would have thought that the url to access the proxy service would have been directed at the managed server? Are you test console?

  • How to include virtual system in transport domain

    Hi all,
I have my development and quality servers running on one instance.at the time of configuring STMS,i have made the transport domain and included both the systems. Also i have configured production system as the virtual system. Now i have installed the production system on a different host with a different transport directory and want to include this system in the transort domain.in a way the virtual system will be replaced.
    How should i do it.
    Regards
    Praveen

    Hi Praveen,
If you want to include a system in your existing transport domain, just login into the system, in T-code STMS you will get a POP UP choose other configuration ,it will ask for-:
    System
    Description
    Target Host
    System Number
Save the settings and wait for some time it will automatically added in your Transport Domain.
Reward Points if find it useful.
    Thanks,
    Prashant.

  • Not able to include the system to its transport domain

    Hello,
We are not able to include the system to its transport domain. We are getting the same error:
    Runtime Errors         SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
    Except.                CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    Date and Time          01.10.2010 11:27:35
    Please advice
    Sankar

    Hi Shyam,
This is actually a program error and the same can be rectified by implementing the [SAP NOTE 1412609 - DUPREQ when configuring the transport domain|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1412609] using the tcode SNOTE.
    This will resolve ur issue.

  • CTS+ what is a best option for transport domain?

    Hello Experts,
What is a best option to confugure CTS+ regarding the transport domains?
Should it be simpe and single transport domain at SOLMAN system and all satellite systems assigned to this single transport domain OR should I keep existing transport domains for satellite systems and connect them via domain link with SOLMAN?
    Any  ideas please?
    Thanks!

    hI,
Normally if you have non abap system in your landscape then you can have solman domain as both communication system and Transport domain, then maintain the TMS domain configuration in solman itself
If you want to maintain ABAP separated system as communication system then this case you have to create the domain link between communication system transport domain and the solamn domain
    Chk this CHARM Configuration Problem

  • Same transport domain. different transport directory, possible?

    Hi SAP folks,
A quick query, I work on multiple systems within a single SAP transport domain. Recently we have requirements to move 2 non-ABAP systems to a different transport directory while keeping the rest intact.
The reason for this is we are doing CTS+ for the 2 non-ABAP system and do not want to share the transport directories for the rest of the ABAP system.
Please advise if this can be done and how?
The following link for SAP suggested that it's possible but stop short of how to do it.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c4/6045377b52253de10000009b38f889/content.htm
Anyone done similar setup? care to share?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Jansen

    Hi,
You can do this very well. First you should remove the two systems that you wanted to configure for CTS+ from your existing transport domain. To do this, login to your existing transport domain controller and delete the systems you wanted to remove from transport domain.
    To perform this:
STMS --> Overview -> Systems -> < choose the system u want to delete> -> SAP Systems -> Delete. Confirm the deletion and save and activate the changes made to ur configuration.
And then add your Non-ABAP systems you wanted to configure for CTS+ using the domain controller you decided for CTS+.
I hope this help you to perform your action.

  • How can I list all the domains configured for Weblogic Servers?

How can I list all the domains configured for Weblogic Servers?
I saw a note, which says the following:
"WebLogic Server does not support multi-domain interaction using either the Administration Console, the weblogic.Admin utility, or WebLogic Ant tasks. This restriction does not, however, explicitly preclude a user written Java application from accessing multiple domains simultaneously."
In my case, I just want to list all the domains, is that possible by using any scripts?
    Thanks
    AJ

If you use WLS Node Manager and the Config Wizard was used to create the domains, then the list of domains should be in a location like this:
    <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>\wlserver_10.3\common\nodemanager\nodemanager.domains
Enterprise Manager Grid Control also has support for multi-domain management of WLS in a console.

  • Error checking transport group configuration in System BQS

    Hi Everyone,
I made a client export from Production to Quality. It went successfully,, I noted the requests numbers and transported them from PRD to Quality, but while transporting there was a tp error(which i did not note), next i went to the quality import queue and saw all the 3 requests had come. But when i click the adjust queue icon im getting the following error message "Error checking transport group configuration in System BQS" .  Afterwards i tried to delete the requests from quality to retransport  from production but still im not able to delete those requests from quality. Can anyone help me solve this.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hello Rahul,
    regarding the error message:
"Error checking transport group configuration in system"
It's mostly related to the TMSADM RFC destination. Kindly follow the below mention steps:
    1. Logon to client 000 with user DDIC.
    2. STMS   > System   > Overview   > Select the system in which you are logged in   > Click on the menu says EXTRAS   > Generate RFC Destinations
Perform the above steps in all the systems configure in your TMS. This should resolve the issue.
    Best regards,
