RE2000 - Stopped after wired IP connection

I'm having almost a montth a correct working RE2000 repeater installed which worked 24h a day.
However, since 2 days, I connected a PC to this repeater via the wired Ethernet output, an suddenly the unit becomes pretty hot after a small 2 days of operation.
And during some more intensive ethernet traffic requiest by surfing on the web, the unit stopped working.
Tried to get it started a gain, and it did, however, after 3 minutes, it stopped again.
Have switched off the unit to get it cooled.
Restarted a gain and got acces via the wired input without any problem.
However, after 5 minutes, it dropped its connection again.
Did a cooling down period a gain and restarted the unit without the wired pc connection.
And guess what, it works without a ny problem....
Think there is a hardware problem involved and/ or a thermic protection which comes in.
Cisco, can you do something with this information?
I, and I suppose many people, want(s) a RE2000 which can be trusted, also if a wired connection is made.

Yep,...
Now about one week further, my RE2000 also stopped correct working and now starts continues rebooting.
I can follow the same route as many others here in the forum with the same problem. :-(
So, I have to bring my unit back for RMA and/or swap.
Because based on the amount complaints about the RE1000 & RE2000 I think it's a serious epidemic problem.
Meaning, a problem caused by a production failure and or during development and not at the user site.
I start writing down my Serial: - 12Y10P04302964
@Cisco: If I'm in the range of a know (batch) problem, please reply.
My current idea is that there is a serious production / development problem.
In that case I would ask Cisco what (general) solution can be offered to fix the problem.
(Or what Cisco is doing / has done to solve it.)
I also hope, a lot of others will follow to write down their serial number in this list.
That also will help Cisco to get a better view about the problem.

  • HTTP Stream stops after instant encoder connection lost

    Hi,
We use amazon cloud front and Open Broadcaster to livestream also using jwplayer. Some time we experience internet problem on our local system and encoder lost its connection to server but it just took 1 or 2 second. RTMP stream not effecting by this problem and all clients works fine but mobile client (iphone, ipad) stuck last 10 second before connection lost and playing this 10 second every time when i open stream on my tablet.
The only solution that i have find, deleting these folder and restarting server.
    mnt/application/livepkgr/streams
    mnt/application/livepkgr/events/_definst_/liveevent
I use this FMS url "rtmp://<server-adress>/livepkgr?adbe-live-event=liveeven"t and Play path/stream key is "kamera5"
Url for jw payer is, http://<server-adress>/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/kamera5/event.m3u8
Also, I figured out today the .m3u8 file not updating after connection lost with new .ts file, it is always same when i download it every time.
How can i setup the server to play http after instant connection losts?
    Thank you.

    Hi
Is the encoder configured to use Absolute Time Code (ATC)
This is necessary for HLS and HDS. It is required for smooth transition between different stream bitrates and in cases of encoder failure and/or restart.
This could be the root of your issue when the connection between encoder and publishing server is interupted.
    Bit more detail:
ATC comes as timestamps within the header of Messages Packet format for the RTMP.
RTMP message packets format has been defined here http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/rtmp/pdf/rtmp_specifi cation_1.0.pdf
Basically the timestamp field in Type0 chunk must be a absolute time based on some wall clock.
Timestamp field is interpreted as integral number with least count as 1 millisecond and it should be always increasing.
This is how the timestamps would look with following events from encoder
    Without ATC
    With ATC
    Publishing start
    Publishing start
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 0 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 12000 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 2 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 12002 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 4 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 12004 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 5 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 12005 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 6 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 12006 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 8 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 12008 ms
    Publishing Stop -
    Publishing Stop -
    Wait for 1000 seconds
    Wait for 1000 seconds
    Publishing Start again
    Publishing Start again
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 0 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 13008 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 3 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 13011 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 4 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 13012 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 6 ms
Sending rtmp video message, timestamp 13014 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 7 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 13015 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 8 ms
Sending rtmp audio message, timestamp 13016 ms
So here timestamp is the timestamp defined for Message header of the RTMP protocol. It is integral number of milliseconds. As you notice here, in case of ATC based timestamps, they are based on actual wall clock, always increasing.
Can you check on the encoder side that ATC is configured ?
    Thanks.

  • My internet connection stops after attempting to connect to the iTunes store after upgrading to Mountain Lion.

I have been unable to stay connected to my server since I have upgraded to Mountain Lion. I went to my local Apple Store and was able to download the latest software. I could not do that at home as the download would freeze. I brought my mac-pro notebook home and the same problem persists. While trying to match my music, iTunes fails to stay connected to the internet, the circle going round and round forever. Anyone else with the same or similar problem?

Same here (iPhone 5S). And a friend of mine has the same problem on his iPhone 5. I just installed the newest iOS update (7.1.2) and the problem persists. Although it seems to affect several people yet I can't find anything related to this on the web. If I really want deliberately to trigger the problem I just need to delete a song from the music app and the message will pop up for sure. I am also somewhat reluctant to do a full restore because frankly I expect the same outcome as the thread starter. So hopefully Apple will fix this soon. The main reason for me to buy a $ 800+ phone is to have a device that 'just works' but apparently that's long gone since iOS 7...

  • MBP takes long time to restore wired network connection after wake-up

    Hello...
My Mid-2010 MBP (MacBookPro6,2) has been experiencing this problem recently -- Whenever I wake up the computer from sleep, it needs approximately 10 seconds to restore its wired network connection. I know there are other annoying connection issues with MBP's WiFi/AirPort out there, but I'm talking about the wired connection here.
Maybe some don't even think this slowness is a problem at all, but this laptop used to be network-ready right after wake-up until 3~4 months ago. That was around the time when I upgraded to SSD and changed some settings via pmset, not sure if that's the culprit. It is now running OS X 10.8.5 and its pmset settings are:

Maybe try this, i am not sure that it will resolve the problem, but it is worth trying anyways.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itpronetworking/thread/eef49e64-157c-4082-8e80-52e48309691f
    Hi All,
I've seen this problem multiple times, especially with Windows 7 64-bit versions and Enterprise edition.  The source of the problem appears to be the Bonjour service that is installed in the background and set to "Automatic" when installing certain 3rd
party applications.  Apple applications like iTunes and Adobe applications like Acrobat Professional and Creative Suites have been known to cause this problem.  I've also seen virtualization software like VMWare and VirtualBox cause similar issues
    with network adapters.
The solution in most of the cases I've come across has been to stop and disable the Bonjour service.  The Bonjour service also masquerades as a service with a name of the format "##Id_String1.6844F930_blahblahblah".  Here's how to disable this service
    in Windows 7:
Right-Click on Computer > Select 'Manage'
Expand the 'Services and Applications' section in the bottom of the Left-Nav dialog and Select 'Services'
Sort the Services list by name and look for either "Bonjour" or the "##Id_String..." name mentioned above
Right-Click on the service and select 'Properties'
Click the 'Stop' button to stop the service
Select 'Disabled' from the 'Startup type' drop down list
    Click 'Apply' and then 'OK'
Reboot your machine and see if the "Multiple Networks" issue is resolved.  If so, you should have internet connectivity again.
    Hope this helps.
    cheers,
    Aaron

  • I can't update my ipod. When I check for updates it says "can't connect to server"(despite internet connection being fine). Also, when I try and update software it starts then stops after 2 seconds

I can't update my Ipod. When I check for updates it says "can't connect to server" despite internet connection being fine. When I receive a software update message;I say install and it starts updating then stops after 2 seconds. Help! (It is a 3rd gen IPod touch(I think)). Presumably as a result of this, I have tried to put my library onto my gf's new iPod touch and it just charges it..doesn't download my library onto the touch).

    Update Server
    Try:
    - Powering off and then back on your router.
    - iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
    Public DNS — Google Developers
    OpenDNS IP Addresses
    - For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
    - Try on another computer/network
    - Wait if it is an Apple problem

    Hello there, Goraksanat.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some good pointers for troubleshooting your issue:
OS X Mavericks: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly

  • Flash movies stop after a random amount of time,

The problem that I am having is that flash movie files (Every website) play for a moment or two and then stop with the little “loading” symbol turning endlessly in the center of the screen. Flash movies used to work with no problem but over the span of the last few months it went from not working well to not working at all. In a perhaps related problem sometimes downloads will stop after a certain length of time and also seem to “hang” at a random spot. If I pause the reload and then restart it the program or whatever will usually finish downloading. This doesn’t happen often but does happen. The flash movie thing, though, happens every time – no matter what browser I have tried. (Firefox, IE, IE with no add-ons, and Chrome anyway.)
I have tried solutions that I have found all across the internet, including the Adobe and Microsoft forums, to no avail. I have unloaded flash with the Adobe uninstaller and reloaded flash. I have tried various flash releases – with and without a firewall on. I have made sure that I am using the 32 bit version of IE and even tried running everything in “administrator mode.” I’ve upgraded every driver that I can upgrade. I’ve used a registry checker as a last resort. I even used the Dell partition to return my computer back to the condition that it was in when I bought it and that didn’t change anything either.
Everything I have tried has made zero difference. In the hopes that someone will have another idea for me to try I am putting all the stats for my computer that I can think of below.
    Qwest internet running at 20mbps
    Flash 10.1.102.64
    Shockwave 11.5.9.615

    Answering your questions...
Have you had a Virus and if so what Anti-Virus program removed it?
No virus that I am aware of
Since you have a Dell, McAfee came pre-installed? Did you remove it prior to Installing MSE? If so, did you use the McAfee Removal Tool or just remove it from Control Panel/Programs & Features?
My computer did come  with McAfee which isn't on my computer now. I used a program called "Decrapifier" that removes unwanted preloaded software that comes with PCs.
    Is McAfee still Installed?
    No
Do you have any Anti-Virus/Spyware programs other than MSE?
No - I have just used MSE until now. I thought about using AVAST but was't sure what running 2 virus/spyware programs would be like.
Since MSE doesn't have a Firewall, do you use any Firewall other than Windows? If so, which?
I use Windows Firewall. I have tried both adding Youtube as an allowed program and switching the firewall off enirely with no luck.
Do you use a Router? Is it Wireless?
I do have a Lynksys router that is a little older but I've also tried hooking the modem directly to the computer.
    Is Qwest wireless?
I use the wired ports and not the wireless for my connection.
Other than IE8, what browsers and versions are Installed now?
I only have IE8 now. I never reinstalled the other browsers after using the Dell partition. I prefer Firefox so having to use IE is frustrating.
I've also used "RegestryBooster" to make sure that my regestry looked okay.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer. I think you are right about me doing too much - LOL

  • Valet plus drops wired desktop connection

The router worked fine until about 2 months ago. Then it suddenly started dropping our wired desktop connection. The only real weird thing is that another one of the ethernet ports behaves as if it has a computer connected but it does not. Once I unplug the router, internet connection and computer and let the thing sit for a couple of days it all seems to work fine for a couple of weeks then it happens again. My initial call to CS was useless as she never thought it odd that there was an active ethernet port that didn't have anything connected to it.
    Symptoms:
    1) wired port drops connection and stops issueing IP and desktop cannot connect to internet
    2) wired  port #3 lights up like it has a computer attached but it DOES NOT
    3) wireless network works great and never goes down during these events
    4) can reset everything and get wired desktop back on line for a short time but then the port with no computer connected lights up and down goes my desktop
I KNOW my  modem is good because I can take the router off line, plug everything back into my old linksys and the desktop comes right up... but then of course I got no wireless....
Help. This has been going on for a couple of months about every 2 weeks and its annoying to say the least. Ideas? Suggestions? Anything?

I think it might be the hardware issue. you have already upgraded the firmware on your router. After upgrading the firmware on your router, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure it.
if you are still facing the same problem then I think your router is not working properly.

  • Lightroom download from Adobe site stops after 327mB instead of 744MB. Can someone help?

lightroom download from Adobe site stops after 327mB instead of 744MB. Can someone help?

try a different browser and/or different wired connection and/or a download manager.
    or
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: New Adobe Lightroom 6 (CC) Direct Download Links – Free Trials | ProDesignTools  or  New Adobe Lightroom 5: Direct Download Links + Difference vs. LR4 | ProDesignTools or Direct Download Links for Lightroom 3 and Photoshop Elements 8 | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • IPod Classic Starts to Sync But Stops After 5 Seconds

    I'd appreciate help with this...
Two days ago, my iPod Classic stopped syncing.  I don't think this is the situation where the device is not recognized.  When I connect with the USB, the iPod appears in iTunes and it starts to sync but then stops after about 5 seconds. I have the latest iTunes (11.0.5) and iPod software; I re-set the iPod; and I ran a check for errors on the iPod, but it came back clean; I can't erase the latest backup in Properties because it's empty.
Here's what I don't understand - I ran a diagnostic on the connection but it was ok; when I ran a diagnostic on sync, it said no iPod was found -- even though I had the same connection when I ran the diagnostic a few seconds earlier.  I know that the iPod is recognized because I can drag podcasts onto the iPod when it's connected.
Any ideas?  I'd rather not have to reinstall iTunes.

    Hi,
I had a similar problem, all you can do at present to rectify this is to grab your playlist or new created playlist or song from the main library or playlist and drop it into the ipod tab under devices and it will auto sync the changes or songs. Hope this helps.
There seems to be a problem with the syncing of itunes 11 (mine is 11.0.5) when you just use the normal sync method. the above should work and has worked for me when transfering a playlist straight into the ipod it automatically syncs.
    Regards.

  • ITunes has stopped working as I connect to iTunes on Windows 7/64

I have not been successful with iTunes Store.  When connecting, it starts and then stops after a bit with a message "iTunes has stopped working".  I have Windows 7, and latest iTunes.  64 bit.  Turned off security software, no luck.  Deinstalled and the reinstalled ALL Apple software, no luck.  Tried running as Admin, no luck.  Tried running in safe mode, no luck.  Any ideas?

I saw this from another post, and it solved the problem for me (I have Windows 7 64 also).

  • AzCopy worked, suddenly stopped working, unable to connect to the remote server

AzCopy was working fine, I was transferring about 670 files to my Azure Files storage account on "https://blah.file.core.windows.net/myshare" (that's not the real account), then it stopped after about 400 files.
Now it continually gives the error "Error parsing destination location
https://blah.file.core.windows.net/myshare: Unable to connect to the remote server."
However it works from a different computer with a completely different IP address in another part of the country.
I am 100% sure my azcopy command is correct, because it worked for about 400 files then stopped, and the exact same command no longer works.  I have tried it with both the primary and secondary keys.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled azcopy 4.1
    and that doesn't help.
Is Azure blocking IPs somehow?  What could be wrong?

A week or so ago while I was not at home Mail stopped being able to connect and download email from my .mac account. I can still use Mail to download email from my Gmail and Comcast accounts, however.  I can still download .mac email from my iPad and after installing Thunderbird I can download .mac email on my Mac. I downloaded PostOffice, but it won't download .mac email either. There has to be something that has gotten corrupted. Any ideas of what could be wrong and what I can do to get it corrected?
    Thanks.
