Ran verifier again and got this.
Rich
It is still pointing to gdrv.sys. Even though it's possible this driver is what causing the crash you had prior enabling Verifier, it is also possible this driver has issues only when Driver Verifier is enabled, and is not related to original
crash.
Could you please try downloading
Autoruns and disabling this driver, by unchecking it under Drivers tab?

  • Reading Large Memory.dmp files

I'm got a 2003 servers and I got the error below. I've found how you can read the small memory.dmp files, but this file is 1.5GB. Can anyone tell me how I can read this? Or what this error is? The system unexpectedly shut down.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0xb96de1d1, 0xb69e9240, 0xb69e8f3c). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I would like to suggest you update the BIOS and the hardware drivers first.
If it does not work, you may also analyze them with Debugging Tools by yourself. You can install it and it’s Symbol Packages from the following
    link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/Devtools/Debugging/default.mspx
WinDbg will tell you the possible cause. For more information, please read Microsoft KB article below:
How to read the small memory dump files that Windows creates for debugging

If no clue can be found, you may contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist
with your request. To troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. Please be advised that contacting phone support will be a charged call.
To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below:

  • Read the .dmp file exported using exp

    Hi,
Could anyone tell me what option in imp i can use to just read or check whether schema that i am expecting exists in the .dmp file (exported using exp) or not before importing into the database. Also is there any option in the imp to search for the table in the entire dump file? Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Nagarjun.

    Hi,
In the import command, You can give Show=y and log file option. Show =y will run the import command but will not import anything and will create a log file that will contain all the statements in the sequence which will be executed when import is done. In that import file you can look for tables and schema what ever you want.

  • How to convert Oracle *.dmp files into something that SQL can read ?

Is there a method I can use to convert Oracle *.dmp files into .txt files? .xls files or something??
    Any and all suggestions appreciated!
    Thanks,

    Hi
you can't convert your .dmp file into text or xls file though you can see the contents of your .dmp file using parameter SHOW=Y in your import command. It will just show the contents of .dmp file and will not import the objects.
    Regards
    Ilyas

  • Trying to Do TotPlan Refresh but TotPlan.dmp file doesn't exist

I tried using C:\demos\TotPlan\PLN\Batch\Refresh_demo_TotPlan.bat , however I get an error when it tries to restore ORCL db using backup file -
C:\demos\TotPlan\PLN\Backup\TotPlan.dmp . I search my drive and there is no .dmp file anywhere on the drive. Is this an issue with the Vlamis version of the drive for partners or are all EPM 11.1.1 Demo iamges missing this file? If someone has the .dmp file, please send it (zipped or non-zipped) to [email protected]

It's not the AppleScript that's failing, but more likely the shell script.
It's likely that AppleScript is calling the perlscript.pl file just fine, but perlscript.pl is failing because it can't find a file. That error gets passed back to AppleScript, and AppleScript reports it to you as the user.
The reason behind the failure is almost certainly because you're relying on some element of the user's environment  that doesn't exist in the do shell script environment - most typically $PATH.
For example, your user's $PATH may include the path to perl, but the do shell script's environment does not. If that's the case, then writing the first line of the script as:
    #! perl
will work when called from your shell, but may fail when called from do shell script if the $PATH isn't configured.
The solution? Look at the perlscript.pl and make sure you're using absolute paths where necessary - at the very least it'll need a full path for /usr/bin/perl, but maybe also other files referenced by the script.

  • Import data in dmp-files

    Hello,
i have some problems with the import of data in dmp-files. As a reference i have the book "pro oracle spatial" and there i try to do the sample in chapter 11 and view the sample-data with mapviewer. i have downloaded the demodata on harddisc, created the user "spatial2" (i have already a user spatial) and now i can't get further. i have never imported data with this command (imp ...). where do i have do save the dump-files? and where are the dump-files that are listed in the book? i am really a little bit confused. maybe somebody can help. i have oracle database 10.1.0.3 on a sles9.
    with kind regards
    katrin

    Katrin,
Go to the directory where you've downloaded the dump files.
Assuming you have a user called spatial2 with password spatial2, and your dumpfile is foo.dmp, something like this would work:
    imp spatial2/spatial2 file=foo.dmp full=y
See the oracle utilities guide for more information about import/export.

  • Import Data from DMP file

I export data and create a DMP file on daily basis
I import data from this DMP to an other computer but some data import duplicate records.
I want to aviod duplicate records
    what should I do

You receive duplicate errors when some unique key in the record (probably but not necessarily the primary key) already exists with a value that duplicates a value already in the database. You have at least 3 options.
    1) Ignore the errors. You will get lots of errors and the duplicates will not be imported.
    2) Delete all records from the tables before you do the import. Old data will be lost, but you will get no errors.
    3) Use fromuser= and touser= to put the data into a different schema then use a merge to update the table data.
By the way this is not the correct forum for this question.

  • Import .dmp file

    Good Afternoon,
I need to import a .dmp file. Could someone please give me a brief step-by-step procedure that I can work with to get started with this task. Also, where might I find information regarding this so that I'll have the guidance to do this on my own. I have recently begun to dive into 10g administration.
    Thanks for the help

    check oracle doc,
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/toc.htm
find out if this is original export dump or data pump dump.

  • .DMP File Import Troubles.

I am trying to import a .DMP file from Oracle 9i (see below) using the Oracle Database Homepage (Oracle 10g Express Edition) and I received the following, error message:
"Your export file is not supported."
So, I believe the problem to be with the charset that is being used to export. Does this make any sense? I really need to get this database imported. Any help is greatly appreciated.
