Reading the BR*Tools responses from a file

Hi,
Can we keep all the responses for BRTools in a file & ask BRTools to read from it? We need this to perform the repetitive tasks.
I have tried this. BR*Tools reads first few responses but give error u201CBR0255E Cannot read from standard inputu201D
Can anybody suggest how this can be done?
Regards,
Vivdha

> Instead of using commands we want to save all the responses (like continue, back etc. using the standard keys) in a file & execute it through BR*Tools using file redirection technique.
The question is: why? What is your issue with using "one" command instead of a command + a file?
> I am reading the file by executing at the command prompt brtools < <file>
I understand the issue and what you want to do - but again, why do you want to that if there is a much easier way of doing it?

  • Reading the same line twice from a file

I have code which I have to read the same line of a file when I want. Reading the file by line line to an arraylist or a variable is not the thing that I want. I just want to mark a line position in a file and read to start from the position. Random Files uses seek to do this, but I have to convert bytes and parse them into lines.
Does bufferedreader has some property or another reading method support this?

    mark() and reset() ?

  • How to read the 'full resolution composite' from a .psd file?

I'm working with 16-bit .psd files and have the "maximize compatibility" switch turned on in CS2. When a file is saved, a message box appears indicating that PS is generating a "full resolution composite." I'd guess this is stored in the .psd file somehow, because some of the 3rd party image viewers are able to display the image when the compatibility switch is used, but are unable to display the image otherwise.
My question is: how can I read this full resolution composite from the .psd file outside of Photoshop?
If this is the wrong forum to post this question, I'd appreciate it of you'd tell me a better place.
    Thanks,
    Dave H.

As you guess, it is stored in the PSD, but only with the Maximise Compatibility switch. Without that switch, a dummy image is stored which has the text "This layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image.", in English, German, Japanese and French.
    My program
psdparse extracts each layer in an 8-bit file as a PNG, and the merged image for both 8- and 16-bit files. That link is to a Subversion repository containing source code.

  • This should be easy ;O) How do I read the exif info in a JPG file?

    Hey all...
I have been googling this for awhile now with not much luck.
!st... Hi... I am a Flex AS3 newbie....  but... not a programming newbie...
My learning project is to create my photoart gallery as a Before and After gallery. Part one is a Flex/Air app to gather the images, scale them to consistant display and thumbnail sizes and build and edit XML data files for the images and galleies. I have actually gotten most of that done..
I am currently working on editing the XML files for the image information (photographer info, copywrite info, descriptions, gallery...etc.) and pulling in as much information that I can find in the image file itself. That being EXIF data.
I have found a couple of examples but for the XResolution and Yresolution I just keep getting 72dpi... now the Jpg files that I am using from my camera.. when I look at the properties with Windows XP... it say 300dpi... when I load the image in Photoshop and look at image size it says 300dpi.. in Photoshop if I look at file information the EXIF says 300dpi....
How can I access that data with Flex/AS3????? After all this is "Adobe" Flex Builder...
This just seems like it should have been solved ages ago... Please.. point to the right path  ;O)
I have searched this forum and have found one or two EXIF references, but no answers.
Thanks for any guidance on the subject.

Thanks very much for your quick response.
One last point and we should drop this in favor of other more urgent issues we both ahve to deal with.
The data is coming from a comma delimited (CSV) file using a comma ',' and optional quotes (") as field separators.
The first column of 'good' data is read as an INTEGER EXTERNAL because of course it is a number. However, the 'bad' rows I want to eliminate have character text in them where I would normally find numbers and they all start with 'D','M' or 'S'.
I don't have an actual column in the data file or resulting table definition that represents that first character that I'm trying to test on. Hence my use of (1) to reporesent the 1st character of data on the line regardless of whether its numeric or character.
As I stated, the syntax works fine in SQL*Loader when I typed the WHEN clause in manually.
I guess if there was a way to define a pseudo column that could be defined using the POSITION notation and everything else using the variable length delimited notation I could test on that psuedo column. I don't want the pseudo column to appear in my resulting table so that seems to be an issue. Enough.
Since I've worked around it using external tables for this issue I'm not going to spend any more time on it today.
As usual, many thanks for your help.
Have a great day! I'll be back soon with another issue :-)>

  • How to get the pull path name from a file upload window

    Hello everyone!
I have encountered the following problem with the following JSP code:

    thanks a lot in advance,

    Dear Sir,
thanks a lot for your reply. Please let me explain what I intended to do: I want to upload a file from the local machine and then read the content of the file. Therefore I need to the fullpath of the filename like /var/local/file.java instead of file.java. The latter is what I got.
The problem I have with your code is that the function like "request.getServerScheme()" is not recognized. Maybe is it because I didn't install servelet package? I only installed javax package btw. Also my application runns on Tomcat server if this could give you some information. The error message I had is as follows:

  • Reading and writing to and from a file to a form

    Hi there
I would like somebody to send me a code example,
showing me how to reading records from a file to a form,
and writing records to the same file from the same form.
I know that I have to use sycronize, but I just have not been
successful. I can constract forms, go from form to a form,
do buttons, do text fields. I can even read and write from and
to files. However I cannot do is write from a file to a form and
from a form to a file.
could somebody please explain how this done, and could you
please give me a code example. All the books seem to either
deal with forms or with files. None seem to combine both.
I am sure it is very ease to do if ONLY I knew how!!!
thank you very much in advance for you help.

I understand that code and I have used it before, however thanks for
trying to help me, it is really appreciated. However, that is not my
problem. I can read and write from a file to the console and vice versa.
what I cannot do, no matter how hard I try, is to write from a file, and
    output it in.
I will tell you how far I have got.

I also have an about box, staff details, and valuation forms.
what I am trying to do is for the New client form to be able to read and write from and to a file, and display the info.
I am working in JBuilder3, a bit out of date I know, but it is the best I can do. Any Ideas how to do this.
