Does any one has more info on this?
Regarding new and delete
If I use new [ ] , Is it a problem using Just delete instead of delete [ ]
while deleting ?.
Because my application code contains n instances of new [  ] with
just delete been used while deleting.
Thanx in advance
Ravi

If I use new [ ] , Is it a problem using Just delete instead of
delete [ ] while deleting ?. There's no problem if you don't mind your program crashing like it is... new [] needs to be paired with delete []. new needs to be paired with delete.

  • Loading perl module LWP::Simple causes seg fault

    I just ran pacman -Syu (upgraded 400 packages and the kernel went from 3.12.9-2 to 3.16.1-1 to give an idea of the last time I updated this system).
    Now when I run:
    perl -e 'use LWP::Simple'
    It seg faults and dumps core.
    pacman says: /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/LWP/Simple.pm is owned by perl-libwww 6.08-1 Which is the current version.  I tried reverting to 6.05-1 (the version I had previously) but it give the same result.
    Checking pacman.log, I see two errors:
    [2014-08-30 21:31] [PACMAN] installed perl-xml-sax-base (1.08-3)
    [2014-08-30 21:31] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] /tmp/alpm_TUIVDd/.INSTALL: line 1: 21528 Segmentation fault (core dumped) perl -MXML::SAX -e "XML::SAX->add_parser(q(XML::SAX::PurePerl))->save_parsers()" &> /dev/null
    [2014-08-30 21:31] [PACMAN] installed perl-xml-sax (0.99-4)
    [2014-08-30 21:31] [ALPM-SCRIPTLET] could not find ParserDetails.ini in /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/XML/SAX
    So I uninstalled those packages and when I reinstalled, there were no errors... that didn't help.
    Any ideas?

    I found what's causing it, but still don't know how it got there.  For anyone else who has similar problems, here's how I found which module was the problem:
    strace perl -e 'use LWP::Simple' |& grep '^open' | tail -1
    In my case, it shows:
    open("/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/auto/Storable/Storable.so", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = 5
    I'm not sure why I have that file when I also have the proper /usr/lib/perl5/core_perl/auto/Storable/Storable.so.  Perhaps I was installing stuff from CPAN and it did that to fulfill a dependency?
    And it's far from the only one:  I found 27 other .so duplicates in site_perl that are also in core_perl:
    cd /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl
    find . -name "*.so" | xargs -n1 pacman -Qo |& grep "No package owns" | cut -c24- | xargs -n1 -I{} ls -l ../core_perl/{} |& grep -v "cannot access"
    Cleaning this up isn't going to be fun... I have 12 more .so's in site_perl that do NOT exist in core_perl or vendor_perl... so I can't just delete all unowned files in site_perl.

  • Update pwdChangedTime via ldapmodify causes "Constraint violation"

    Hi,
    we're migrating an application from IBM products (WebSphere+Tivoli DS) to Sun produdcts (SJSAS 9.0+SJSDS 6.0). I need to be able to change an entry's pwdChangedTime using the ldapmodify command.
    Running the following command
    ldapmodify -D "cn=Directory Manager" -v -f /tmp/change_pwdChangedTime.txt
    with the folloing /tmp/change_pwdChangedTime.txt file
    dn: cn=abc,ou=people,o=aaa,c=bbb
    changetype: modify
    replace: pwdChangedTime
    pwdChangedTime: 20070806082500Z
    gives me the following output
    ldap_init( localhost, 389 )
    replace pwdChangedTime:
    20070806082500Z
    modifying entry cn=abc,ou=people,o=aaa,c=bbb
    ldap_modify: Constraint violation
    ldap_modify: additional info: Constraint violation in modifications
    In Tivoli Directory Server I was able to use the command above using the "-k" option to be able to change the value of operational attributes like pwdChangedTime. Is there anywthing similar in SJSDS 6?
    Is there any other way to update this attribute manually when required but still have the server updating it when the password is changed by the user?

    We are trying to constrain applications from meddling with operational attributes due to the possibility of surprising behavior of the DSA as a result of an unanticipated value.
    In a lab environment, I would think it would be acceptable to remove the "read-only" restriction. Edit <instance_root>/config/schema/00ds6pwp.ldif and remove the constraint.
    We can consider adding a programmatic mechanism (e.g., an LDAP extended operation) in a future release to manage these operational attributes for testing and other administrative purposes. Could you let us know what other attributes you modify and to what ends?

  • HSlider causes security violation.

    I am pulling image urls from Google using their AS API, and I decided to add an HSlider. Currently the HSlider is just sitting there, with no peroperties set in its tag, but when you click on the slider thumbnail you get this error:
    SecurityDomain 'IMAGE_URL_IS_HERE' tried to access incompatible context 'file:///C:/ChikaraDev/src/flexapps/Showcase/MediaBrowser/bin-debug/MediaBrowser.html'
    *** Security Sandbox Violation ***
    So I'm wondering how an HSlider that literally is not doing anything results in these errors just by clicking its thumbnail.

    Is that all you get or is there a full stacktrace.  Unless you get the RTE dialog you can ignore the output

  • IMovie'08 uploaded to YouTube with Jingles caused copyright violation notice

    I just uploaded an IMovie '08 project to YouTube with my own video content from my camcorder, and audio solely from IMovie Jingles. I received a 3rd party content notification from YouTube stating that the audio content is owned by an entity called "Dance All Day." Somebody please tell me why, when I tried to avoid copyright entanglements by using only Apple's IMovie jingles, am I getting 3rd party use violation notice from YouTube? Who the heck is "Dance all Day" and why are they claiming ownership of Apple IMovie "jingles"? Who owns the rights to IMovie "jingles?"

    Still wondering who is "Dance all Day"
    A Google search revealed this German site:
    http://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.da nce-all-day.com%2F
    I've had similar issues with these so-called copyright violations, simply when using Apple provided jingles in iMovie. Others here have also reported this. In my case it was a different entity that was claiming ownership of the jingles. After a while, the notices stopped appearing. YouTube place ads on the videos when there is a perceived violation, but these can be removed temporarily by clicking on the x icon. From memory, there was also a note stating that no action was required by the user, but ads would appear.

  • Tpfree causes access violation in 6.4

    LS,
    I hope it is allowed to post message for version 6.4; if not please disregard this
    message.
    I've created a Tuxedo (6.4) server application that amongs other things streams a
    tuxedo fielded buffer to a file. To read the buffer I use the CFgetalloc32 function
    as displayed below:
    while (TuxedoServer::FieldNext(buffer, &id, &occ, NULL))
    char * fieldname = FieldName(id);
    if (fieldname != NULL && (strcmp(fieldname, "SRVCNM") != 0))
    //get value
    len = 0;
    char* value = CFgetalloc32(const_cast<FldBuffer*>(buffer), id, occ, FLD_STRING,
    &len);
    //stream value
    output << fieldname << '\t' << value << endl;
    //clean up
    tpfree(value);
    This code works fine but after x-times tpfree() causes an accessviolation.
    Is this a known issue? If so, is there a patch for this problem?
    thanx in advance

    Well, to start, you are aware that Win2003 and IE7 are very old and generally speaking probably no longer supported by Microsoft (unless you have extended support)? I bring this up not because I care that you are using software that is 10 years old, but because it is important to realize that at some point old software and new software simply won't play well together.
    I would suggest you do the following:
    1. Close ALL open browser and uninstall ALL installed JRE versions
    2. If you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader to open your pdf files, uninstall it.
    3. Ensure that you have installed all of the latest Windows (Microsoft) updates which are available. This can be determined by going to the Microsoft Update page. Here is the URL:
    http://www.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx
    4. If any updates are installed, reboot regardless of the instructions provided by the update.
    5. After rebooting, install the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Adobe.com website.
    6. Download JRE 1.6.0_37. You can download it from Oracle here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre6u37-downloads-1859589.html
    Before attempting to install the JRE, close ALL open browser.
    7. Now retest.
    If the problem continues to reproduce, I would recommend you do some basic troubleshooting and ask youself some obvious questions. For example:
    <blockquote><li>Does the problem reproduce on any other machine? If not, what is the difference between the machines?
    <li>Did this ever reproduce before? If so, what has changed?
    <li>Does this reproduce with any other application that accesses the pdf viewer? If not, what is unique about the way in which your app uses it?
    <li>And so on....</blockquote>

  • Creating logical host on zone cluster causing SEG fault

    As noted in previous questions, I've got a two node cluster. I am now creating zone clusters on these nodes. I've got two problems that seem to be showing up.
    I have one working zone cluster with the application up and running with the required resources including a logical host and a shared address.
    I am now trying to configure the resource groups and resources on additional zone clusters.
    In some cases when I install the zone cluster the clzc command core dumps at the end. The resulting zones appear to be bootable and running.
    I log onto the zone and I create a failover resource group, no problem. I then try to create a logical host and I get:
    "Method hafoip_validate on resource xxx stopped or terminated due to receipt of signal 11"
    This error appears to be happening on the other node, ie: not the one that I'm building from.
    Anyone seen anything like, this have any thoughts on where I should go with it?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    In some cases when I install the zone cluster the clzc command core dumps at the end. The resulting zones appear to be bootable and running.Look at the stack from your core dump and see whether this is matching with the bug:
    6763940 clzc dumped core after zones were installed
    As far as I know, the above bug is harmless and no functionality should be impacted. This bug is already fixed in the later release.
    "Method hafoip_validate on resource xxx stopped or terminated due to receipt of signal 11" The above message is not enough to figure out what's wrong. Please look at the below:
    1) Check the /var/adm/messages on the nodes and observe the messages that got printed around the same time that the above
    message got printed and see whether that gives more clues.
    2) Also see whether there is a core dump associated with the above message and that might also provide more information.
    If you need more help, please provide the output for the above.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna Kunisetty

  • Devkit-disks-probe-ata-smart causes HSM Violations on SSD

    I've just experienced the same problem identified on this Ubuntu bug report:
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … mments=all.
    It seems to be a general Linux kernel problem, and there are reports of it on Arch. Is a solution on the way?
    My SSD started playing up, first exhibiting bad sector errors, then suddenly becoming read only as I was using it and finally refusing to mount when I booted complaining about a possible zero length partition. It also manifested the same problems described in this bug report when I booted up. Fortunately its the drive where I have my home partition, so its recoverable (not sure about the data in it, but there's nothing I can't afford to lose, even if I'd prefer not to).
    I'm running Toofishes' patched eee kernel on an Asus 900. I'm fairly up to date (a week out at most). Is there a fix already in pacman, or do I try and apply this patch to my Arch system somehow? If so, how exactly. I'm okay with modifying the file, though I think its in a different place, but I'm a bit worried about it being overwritten by future updates.
    Also, any ideas for recovering the drive, or restoring it. Writing 0s all over it seems a little drastic, and I'd prefer not to lose my home drive if I can.

  • Multiple constraints cause exception and I don't understand why;

    Hi:
    I am using a 10.2.0.3 DB to look at some code that to the best of my knowledge works in 8i. The combination of constraints they put on the table end up preventing a user from inserting records in 10g due to a constraint violation.
    Caveats: NOT MY CODE! They are using CHAR strings for times. Yes it's scary. Yes it's a problem in its own right. NOT the problem I care about right now. I care about the bigger question of why do the two constraints that (to me) appear to be non-conflicting cause a violation.
    Here's the code to recreate the situation:
    create table timeConstraintTest
      MY_KEY         NUMBER(11)             NOT NULL,
      SOME_NBR       NUMBER(3)              NOT NULL,
      SOME_DATE      DATE                   NOT NULL,
      CHAR_TIME_IN   VARCHAR2(5 BYTE)       NOT NULL,
      CHAR_TIME_OUT  VARCHAR2(5 BYTE)       NOT NULL
    ALTER TABLE timeConstraintTest ADD (
      CONSTRAINT TCT_CPK
    PRIMARY KEY
    (MY_KEY));
    ALTER TABLE timeConstraintTest ADD (
      CONSTRAINT TIME_IN_CCK
    CHECK (LENGTH(CHAR_TIME_IN) = 4 AND
        LTRIM(char_time_in,'0123456789') IS NULL AND
        SUBSTR(char_time_in, 1, 2) BETWEEN 0 AND 24 AND
        SUBSTR(char_time_in, 3, 2) BETWEEN 0 AND 59));Now, if I try and insert a record with the following :
    insert into timeConstraintTest values(1,1,sysdate,'1234','1245');I get
    ORA-02290: check constraint (GAFF.TIME_IN_CCK) violated
    Now if I disable the NOT NULL constraint on the CHAR_TIME_IN column (yeah I should have created it explicitly and named it)
    alter table timeConstraintTest disable constraint SYS_C0056162;the insert will work.
    This may be correct, it may be a bug. I don't know. I just want to understand it. Does anyone know why this violation is being thrown?
    Thanks

    According to [http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682583(v=vs.85).aspx] :
    The entry-point function should perform only simple initialization or termination tasks. It must not call the LoadLibrary or LoadLibraryEx function (or a function that calls these functions), because this may create dependency loops in the DLL load order. This can result in a DLL being used before the system has executed its initialization code. Similarly, the entry-point function must not call the FreeLibrary function (or a function that calls FreeLibrary) during process termination, because this can result in a DLL being used after the system has executed its termination code.
    Because Kernel32.dll is guaranteed to be loaded in the process address space when the entry-point function is called, calling functions in Kernel32.dll does not result in the DLL being used before its initialization code has been executed. Therefore, the entry-point function can call functions in Kernel32.dll that do not load other DLLs. For example, DllMain can create synchronization objects such as critical sections and mutexes, and use TLS. Unfortunately, there is not a comprehensive list of safe functions in Kernel32.dll.
    Windows 2000: Do not create a named synchronization object in DllMain because the system will then load an additional DLL.
    Calling functions that require DLLs other than Kernel32.dll may result in problems that are difficult to diagnose. For example, calling User, Shell, and COM functions can cause access violation errors, because some functions load other system components. Conversely, calling functions such as these during termination can cause access violation errors because the corresponding component may already have been unloaded or uninitialized.
    Perhaps the coherence developers should define init/cleanup functions (i.e. coherence_init(), coherence_cleanup()) and perform all initialization/cleanup actions there.

    The test with many dll's does not reproduced this issue. I don't have much time to continue playing with it. BTW look at the simple test application log (the source of the test you can find on my another thread: {thread:id=2286271}) You can see how many times called LoadLibrary() from coherence.dll!DllMain (marked in red). And it doesn't matter, that it works most of the time. It is so called undefined behavior.

  • FreeRADIUS rlm_krb5 seg fault

    I'm having a few problems setting up freeRadius with a kerberos backend on arch and would really appreciate a little help.
    Kernal: Linux 3.11.6-1-ARCH i686
    freeradius 3.0.0-1
    All the configuration changes I have made to the default configs are listed below:
    /etc/raddb/users
    Added the following line at the top of the file:
    DEFAULT Auth-Type = Kerberos
    /etc/raddb/sites-enabled/default and /etc/raddb/sites-enabled/inner-tunnel
    Added the following in the Authenticate section directly after the pap entry
    Auth-Type Kerberos {
    krb5
    I have also copied the file /etc/raddb/mods-available/krb5 to /etc/raddb/mods-enabled/krb5 and edited the entries to point to the keytab and principle im using for radius. The keytab contains two entries one for radius/hostname.domain and one for host/hostname.domain.
    I have verified the keytab is ok by using it with kinit to get a valid ticket for both principles. Additionally im sure my kerberos setup is ok as it works fine with ldap, nslcd and ssh.
    The problem is when I run radiusd -X and then attempt a radtest I get the following:
    (0) files : users: Matched entry DEFAULT at line 1
    (0) [files] = ok
    (0) [expiration] = noop
    (0) [logintime] = noop
    (0) WARNING: pap: No “known good” password found for the user. Not setting Auth-Type.
    (0) WARNING: pap: Authentication will fail unless a “known good” password is available.
    (0) [pap] = noop
    (0) } # authorize = ok
    (0) Found Auth-Type = Kerberos
    (0) # Executing group from file /etc/raddb/sites-enabled/default
    (0) Auth-Type Kerberos {
    at which point the server dies with no further output. Running the server using systemctl start freeradius and then looking at the status after its died shows its failed with Main PID: 21835 (code=dumped, signal=SEGV)
    I have looked all over the internet but the only place I have found someone with the same problem is here:
    http://www.mail-archive.com/freeradius- … 77744.html
    I have also enabled core dumps in the radiusd.conf however I have no idea how to actually view the dump or where it is (and yes I did google it, but all the responses made no sence to me)
    I have also tried the freeradius-git package on the AUR however that throws errors when building, something to do with undefined symbols while making radattr.
    CC src/main/radattr.c
    LINK build/bin/radattr
    UNIT-TEST rfc.txt
    ./build/bin/radattr: symbol lookup error: ./build/bin/radattr: undefined symbol: _fr_cursor_init
    src/tests/unit/all.mk:23: recipe for target 'build/tests/unit/rfc.txt' failed
    make: *** [build/tests/unit/frc.txt] Error 127
    => ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...
    => ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build freeradius-git.
    => Restart building freeradius-git ? [y/N]
    => -----------------------------------------------
    =>
    I don't usually post here as every problem i've had using arch so far, I've solved after reading the wiki/forums or random googling. However i'm at a complete loss this time, i have literally no idea how to solve this...
    Thanks

    Just as a quick update, the rlm_krb module still seems to be causing seg faults, however it is possible to get it working by configuring freeRadius to use PAM and then telling PAM to authenticate with kerberos.

  • RT- not flagging violations when new tcode added to role

    Hi,
    I am using Access Enforcer and Compliance Calibrator and maintaining roles through PFCG. What I am finding is- AE picks up violations of role assignments to users as does Risk Termiantor. However if I add a new transaction code to a role through PFCG that causes a violation not in the role itself but when combined with other roles that the user already has on their account, this is not being flagged. Therefore I could have an unmitigated risk going undetected until I next run CC, which would pick it up. Has anybody else experienced this? Does Risk Terminator not pick up violations at user level when a role is updated?
    1) create role ztest1 with tcode IW32
    2) create role ztest2 with tcode MIGO
    3) assign both roles to user- testuser
    4) Edit ztest1- add tcode ME21N. Click Save
    5) Risk violation for user not flagged
    Thanks

    "I should perhaps add that I'm working here with .doc files (not .pages files) and that I edited the info.plist of Pages to give it the role of 'editor' instead of 'viewer' for all ".doc" files. Mainly to ensure that if I work on a .doc file which I want to remain a .doc file, I don't have to Save As (.doc copy) all the time but can just save in the normal way. Could this interfere with the above problem?"
    Here is your problem. Every time you open a .doc to Pages it is a new document. When you work on in Pages it is a Pages file and not a .doc file. If you want to work in PAges save the file as the generic .pages and do the export for .doc. Keep that name and next time you Save as Word or export as word in the same location the .doc file will be overwritten with the new one. and you'll only have on .doc file and one .pages file.
    If you want only have .doc files don't use Pages.

  • UIManager ClassPath ignored? (access violation)

    Appologies if this is a second post, but I do not believe my previous post worked. I do not see it in the list of topics...
    I've encountered a serious problem: I can not use any 3rd party look and feel
    implementations inside the Java Web Start secure sandbox. More specifically,
    they work unless you use the FileOpenService or FileSaveService, which bring
    up a JChooser with UI components that are in the wrong ClassLoader and cause
    access violation exceptions.
    Some code I have tried to (unsuccessfully) work around this problem:
    // Attempt #1
    ClassLoader jwsClassLoader = this.getClass().getClassLoader();
    UIManager.put("ClassLoader", jwsClassLoader);
    SlafLookAndFeel slaf = new SlafLookAndFeel("com.memoire.slaf.SlafLookAndFeel"); UIManager.setLookAndFeel(slaf);
    This brings up the SLAF look and feel for everything but the FileOpenService.
    Exception pasted below.
    // Attempt #2
    // After executing the above code, I also run this:
    Hashtable tb = UIManager.getDefaults();
    tb.put("ClassLoader", jwsClassLoader);
    Enumeration e = tb.keys();
    while (e.hasMoreElements()) {
    Object obj = e.nextElement();
    if (! (obj instanceof String))
    continue;
    String k = (String)obj;
    if (k.endsWith("UI")) {
    Class uic;
    try {
    uic = jwsClassLoader.loadClass(tb.get(k).toString());
    } catch(Exception ex) {
    // classnotfound...
    continue;
    tb.put(uic.getName(), uic);
    Again, this does not help.
    // Attempt #3
    In Sun bug:4155617 the username 'awiner' posted a message that contained
    some code to register your own ClassInstantiator (implements UIDefaults.LazyValue)
    I would like to try this, but I do not know how to use the code presented.
    I think it needs to be integrated within the Look and Feel code?

  • Trying to create a 13th month adjustment period

    Hi all,
    I am trying to setup a 13th month in fdm (the HFM application has a end of year adjustment period). I'm hitting difficulty as fdm wont let me have 2 load periods in the same month range (as far as i can tell) and I cant leave the date range blank. Has anyone successfully dealt with this before?
    Previous attempts have lead to "invalid period" then "cant delete period" issues. The FDM app also has multiple adapters (HFM and ESSbase) to complicate the issue.
    Thanks

    Just to provide feedback,
    The period shortening solution does not work in FDM 9.3.1. The error log and control table inputs of the attempt (screenshot wont attach unfortunately) are included below.

    The first solution involving creating the adjustment period in an extrapolated date range (e.g. 5\31\1950, 6\30\1950) does work - with issues. Doing this will allow you to upload data into the adjustment period, but may cause tpov violations in batch load processes.
