Rebate PArtial Credit memo

Hi All,
I have an scenario.
In rebate process as per Indian Govt law we need to pay the TDS amount on Commission accurals paid to the Agent.
Once if we  complete the sales cycle, in the invoice Accurals value will be posted to respective G/L accounts.
Suppose if i maintained a condition type as an TDS and it will be calculated on the accurals.
Once we try to do the partial payment system will automatically creates the Credit memo.
But my question here is in the credit memo TDS value also will be reflected?
If we want to reflect the tds amount in the rebate credit memo then how to proceed?
ls provide your views. Pls provide me the views asap.

SK

  • Partial Credit Memo for A/R Invoice with down payment

    Dear All,
I am confusing how to perform partial credit memo for A/R invoice that has down payment inside. Is it possible ? would you please share your solution to me ?  Thanks so much

    Hello,
I am afraid there is no solution yet for this problem. You must create fully quantity credit memo. Maybe, others can have solution yet, so try to do not mark this message answered. The related notes number is 966038. let me know if you need it.

  • Create 2nd AR Invoice base on Delivery after create a partial Credit Memo

    Hi,
    Here is the scenario:
    1) User create an AR Credit Memo (base on AR Invoice) partially for wrongly entered the unit price on 1 of the item out of 5 items in the AR Invoice.
    2) User need to create a new AR Invoice with the corrected pricing, the newly created AR Invoice must not lost the linking between the base document. Meaning, we need to copy the new AR invoice from Delivery or Sales Order to maintain the base document tracking.
Is there anyway to accomplish this? Because the system will not re-open the Delivery or Sales Order after the AR Invoice copied to AR Credit Memo.
    Thanks.

    Hello
We are investigating the same issue because we have the exact same problem. Same issues on the Purchase side.
We are looking into two paths:
    1) either cancel invoice and recreate it. I doubt this path as efficient / possible in the system
    2) or generate a second group of document with a UDF to keep the link to the original documents
Either way, this looks very manual and potentially dangerous in terms of authority.
If you have other ideas, I would be happy to work with you on that topic.

  • Rebate Agreement credit memo - sold to party

    Hi all,
Users settle rebate with VB(7 and then create credit memo to the customer.  Bill to party address is printing on the invoice form but they also need sold to party to be printed on the invoice.  In the credit memo bill to party and sold to party are the same. But the actual sale through where the rebate came has sold to party address.
How to get the sold to party from sales document to the rebate credit memo? The agreement in the sales orders can be found in the field VBAK-KNUMA, but Iu2019m not sure how to get the sold to party information onto rebate credit memo.
    Any inputs please?
    Thanks

    Kris
Thanks for your time. The sales document number that comes from the agreement number in VBAK is the Rebate credit memo number but the actual sales document number. So Iu2019m afraid this wouldnu2019t work
I have read somewhere that sold to party for agreement will be in field KOMG-KUNNR. Could anyone tell me how to extract it from KOMG? Do the developers know how to extract from it?
    Appreciate your inputs
    Thank you

  • COPA - SD - Rebates accrual & Credit memo

We have rebates accrual posting from SD-
Dr. Rebate A/c (PL) 1000 - this would also been in COPA
    Cr. Rebate accrual (BS) 1000
Now you settle the rebate(credit memo) - say you decide to settle for 1200
At this point the system will do the following entry (in FI):
Dr. Rebate accrual (BS) 1000 - posted to COPA
    Cr. Rebate A/c (PL) 1000
Dr. Rebate A/c (PL) 1200 - Posted to COPA
    Cr. Customer A/c 1200
hence the difference of 200 will be posted to COPA.
The issue is that I want to separate reverse of accrual and actual rebate in COPA i.e. to have two COPA line items
    first (accruals)    -1000
    second(rebate)    1200
    instead of current 200
    Is it possible?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi
I got your point... You are talking of the 2nd entry which is posted in COPA
SInce it is having the same GL account repeating twice, I dont think you would have 2 line items relating to 2nd document... You will have only 1 line item
What you would see in KE94 is the Original 1000 and the 200 amount so that you can have differentiation upto this level

  • Reversal of a Customer Rebate Credit Memo

    Folks
Having posted a Customer rebate credit memo, what is the functionality to allow it to be reversed?I cannot see any way in which it is possibe to post a Customer Rebate Debit Memo.
Please note that I am referring to rebate related Credit memos in this thread and not normal credit memos.
We are currently on version 4.7.
    Many thanks
    Richie

    Hi Richard
Credit memo requests and credit memos must be closed before final settlement can be done. To carry out final settlement of a rebate agreement:
In the Change rebate agreement screen, enter the number of the rebate agreement that you want to settle or determine the number by using the matchcodes.
    Press ENTER .
Depending on how the rebate agreement types have been configured for your system, you may need to manually release an agreement before you can process it for settlement. To do this, enter the appropriate value in the Agreement Status field.
You can carry out final settlement in two ways:
If you need to change the credit memo request select Rebate payments > Final settlement > Automatically.
The system confirms that a credit memo request has been created.
To make changes to the credit memo request, select Rebate payments > Credit Memo Request > Change.
To cancel a credit memo request, select Rebate payments > Credit Memo Request > Reset.
If you would just like to make quick changes to the final settlement amounts select Rebate payments > Final Settlement > Using Payment Screen.
The system shows the final settlement amount in the field Amt. to be paid next to the condition record.
The system will not limit any changes you make.
    Save the rebate agreement.
After the rebate agreement has been saved, it is only possible to change or delete the credit memo request by calling it up as a sales document (Menu path: Logistics > Sales, then Order > Change).

  • Add Non-rebate Condition Types to Rebate Credit Memo

    Hi guys,
I have a requirement as follows. The client wants to make some deductions from their customers rebate settlement credit memo as follows:
    Customer's sales volume = 52,000,000.00
    Rebate value due is 5% =  2,600,000.00
        DEDUCTIONS
10%  Withholding tax due on Rebate value =     260,000.00
Management fee of 0.75% of turnover =      390,000
        5%  Vat on Management Fees =                    19,500.00
    *         Payable to the Customer = 1,930,500.00 (This is the value to be credited to the customer's account).
I don't have a problem with the withholding tax. However, for the other deductions the issues I have are as follows:
    1. Condition types that are not rebates or taxes do not show on the the rebate credit memo B1. The analysis says that they have been manually removed. How do I get it to show?
    2. Output tax (MWST) is always added in the invoice, however in this case the customer wants the output tax to be deducted. Can this be done?
    Thanks for your help
    Regards,
    Olufisayo

    Hello Swati,
the suggestion of JP is correct.
    I explain it better.
    - the document type of FI document created from SD depends on the customizing of billing type field TVFK-BLART. If it is blank, then by default is 'RV'.
    - if the number range assigned to the account document type is External, then the FI document gets the same number of the SD invoice.
    - transaction VBOF creates FI document referred to SD invoice. If it has external number range, and an FI document already exist with same number (created when SD invoice has been released to accounting), then the errof F5152 occurs.
    SOLUTION:
in the selection screen of VBOF there is the field FI-Doc-type. Here you should specify the FI document type that should be created by execution of VBOF, and of course it must have number range internal.
    Please try this.
    Best regards,
    Ivano.

  • Witholding Tax on Rebate Credit Memo

    Hello SD gurus,
Anyone has an idea on how I could deduct witholding tax on my rebate settlement credit memo?
    Thanks in advance.
    Rose

    Hi Rose
I think it should be possible although I have configured Withholding Tax for incoming payments (and it is working the way I want it to in F-28) but not for Rebate Credit Memos.
Configuration of withholding taxes is in the FI Consultant's domain although the SD Consultant needs to do some configuration from his side. Broadly,  you need to assign the Withholding Tax Codes and Withholding Tax types in the Withholding Tax Tab of the Customer Master; assign Requirement No: 83 against the Withholding Tax Condition Type in V/08 and maintain Condition Records in VK11. The actual Withholding Tax rate flows from the FI side settings. (more specifically on the Rate you maintain in the 'Define Withholding Tax Code' - Financial Accounting New --> Withholding Tax --> Extended Withholding Tax --> Calcualtion --> Define Withholding Tax Codes).
You may want to ask your FI Consultant to have a close look on the documentation in the Withholding Tax menu under Financial Accounting Global Settings (New).

  • Copy AR invoice to Credit Memo

In B1 2005A SP01 PL 36, you cannot create a Credit memo from a closed invoice. This is extremely restrictive as the majority of product returns occur after the invoice has been paid. Is there an update to 2005A that provides this capability or does 2007 offer it? If not, this really should be considered since the Credit memo is used to return money to the customer. Not having to reenter the information would be a time saver and a potential reduction of entry errors. In our instance, all of our products are under Batch management and the credit memo has to put the stock back into the correct batch. This should automatically done from copying the original AR.

    Hi Art,
Here are the postings as performed in my UK localisation testdatabase:
    AR invoice:
    BP account Debit 117.50
    VAT @ 17.5% Credit 17.50
    Revenue Credit 100.00
    Credit Card Payment:
    Credit Card account Debit 117.50
    BP Account Credit 117.50
    Cancellation of Credit Card Payment:
    Credit Card account Debit -117.50
    BP Account Credit -117.50
The payment is reconciled with the original invoice & the cancellation.
The invoice is reconciled with the payment & the cancellation, yet in status 'open' because the payment has been cancelled & the balance due is back on the account.
The invoice will appear in the open items list as unpaid & is available as base document for a credit memo. You can then use the 'copy from' or 'copy to' functionality to creste the credit memo based on the invoice.
The invoice will then be reconciled with:
    a) the payment
    b) the cancellation of the payment
    c) the credit memo
If you use the invoice as base document for only a partial credit memo, then you will need to either create another payment to clear the balance due or another credit memo.
As I outlined above, the reason for 'locking' a fully reconciled invoice is because this particular transaction is completed. This is of importance, especially if there is stock with serial/batch numbers involved. Depending on the industry, it is of vital importance to keep track of batches & being able to duplicate a batch/serial number when the original transaction is completed, would lead to inconsistencies. Also,
if there has been no stock transaction prior to the invoice, this is done on the same journal entry. So if, say 100 items of your stock left the warehouse at a MAP of 1 each at the invoice stage, the value of your warehouse is reduced by 100. If you base the credit memo on the invoice, this stock is always received back with a value of 100. If the MAP changes, say to 1.5 & you the create an independent credit memo, then the items are received back with the new MAP of 1.5 since there is no link to the original, outgoing, document.
    Therefore, the process should be:
    1. AR invoice (Status: open)
    2. Payment (AR invoice status: closed)
    3. Cancel Payment (AR invoice status: open)
    4. Credit memo (full- AR invoice status: closed, partial-AR invoice status: open)
    5. Payment/credit memo if balance due (AR invoice status: closed)
    All the best,
    Kerstin

  • Rebate Credit memo

    Hello All..
I have problem related to Rebate
    Situation is as follows:
A rebate agreement is created for a year with 2% of accruals at first stage and a partial payment is done. After some time we realised that accruals should have been at the rate of 1% instead of 2% and we made changes in the condition records of rebate agreement. At the time of final settlement system has generated a credit memo request for negative value which is correct because there was partial payment based in 2% of accruals and agreement is now with 1% accrual.
Actually as there is -ve value, system should generate debit note instead of credit note?
    Analysis upto now -
The Agreement type has been assigned with a Credit Memo Request as "Final settlement".. So the system will surely create the Credit memo request. BUT, when there is -ve net price, how can we shift to Debit Memo Request? If the ABAP development is required, where and how can we control this ?
Thanks in advance for your help

    Kunal
The behaviour of the system is correct. Because the document is a credit memo, a positive value is considered to be a credit value. A positive value in Credit memo results in negative posting in accounting which means that it is credit. If the value in credit memo is negative, it actually means that it is a debit. So conceptually, you have to give customer a debit memo and in this case, there is a credit memo with a negative value. So conceptually you are correct.
Second point is that you can link an agreement only to a credit memo request /CM not to a debit memo.
Third point is the most important one. You should not change the percentage of the rebate agreement in between. If there is a change, you only have to close that agreement without settling. Create a new rebate agreement with past validity from date. And you have to reorganise the rebate index to consider the documents created in the past for this agreement. I think VBOF will help you on this.
    Hope this info helps you

    Can anyone please advice ?

    Thanks Christian!
    Just got a niggle though.
How do I know which entry in NAST is my one i.e. the one that was recently triggered from the output type?
DO we look for the most recently created one?
Or is there a flag? If so do I then need to close this flag field when I've finished witht the data?
    Much obliged

  • Error in Releasing to Accounting for Rebate Credit Memo

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to post from a credit memo rebate settlement an A/P posting document rather than
an A/R posting document (payment made against vendor rather than customer).
I am using the standard SAP user exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008 to convert A/R document to A/P document.
In the internal table XACCIT, the following fields are changed in order to achieve the results above:
    Accounting document type (BLART)
    Posting Key (BSCHL)
    G/L Account & P&L Account (HKONT)
Customer (KUNNR) - if filled, clear out
Vendor (LIFNR) - get from KNA1 table
    Tax Code (MWSKZ)
Payment Terms (ZTERM) - get from KNB1 table
    Tax Conditions (KTOSL)
Branch Details (FILKD) - if filled, clear out
The rebate credit memo have been generated but not able to release to accounting. When i try to release
to Accounting via VF02, the following error is generated:
'No Account is Specified for item 0000000001'.
All substitution seems to be complete. Could you let me know the possible cause of this so that I can further investigate on this issue.

No Account is Specified for item 0000000001
Normally system will throw this type of error if the corresponding billing document / credit memo does not have the Account Assignment Group of that customer.  To check that go to VF02, key in the credit memo reference and execute.   There click from top menu bar "Goto => Header => Header".  There you can see a field "Account Assignment Group".  Check whether it is blank.  If so, press F and save.
It could also be due to improper of G/L Account assignment in VKOA
    thanks
