Receiver determination filter for BAPI

Hello,
I want to create a "Receiver determination filter" for a BAPI in BD64.
I have created the relevant entry in BD96.
But it is not working.
Kindly assist.
Thanks.

Hi
Steps to Create a Filter Object type:(if a suitable one is not available in BD64)
Tcode BD95- Create Filter Object type
Tcode BD96 : Assign Filter Object type to BAPI
Steps to Create Filter conditions :
Tcode BD64.
Expand the BAPI in your model view.
Dbl click on  <b>Data Filter </b>
Create a Filter group and Add the Filter conditions.
(Here you should find the Filter object you defined)

  • Receiver Determination Step For Synchrnous Send  in BPM

    Hi,
How to use BPM Receiver Determination step for a synchronous send step?
My scenario is to send a request to multiple receivers synchronously and get the response. How can i achieve this using Receiver Determination step in BPM.
    Regards
    Divia

    Hi Sreedivia,
As far as use of synchronous message is concern with receiver determination step, it wont allow you to use Abstract Synchronous message interface in it.
Even you cannot give multiple receivers without specifying any condition while creating Receiver determination  in integration directory.

    Sami.

  • How to create a data filter for BAPI used in a Distribution Model ?

I am trying to create IDOC's for a QM inspection plan via message type QPMK in ECC 6.0. When creating the new message type in the Distribution Model, it forced me to use a BAPI (MasterInspectionChar) rather that just the message as I have done in the past. In order to ensure that only IDOC's related to a specific plant and material type get sent out, I was trying to create a filter.
I am able to get into a 'Change Filter' dialog by double clicking 'No data filter set' under the node 'MasterInspectionChar.SaveReplica'. However, an attempt to highlight anything on this dialog and clicking button 'Create filter group' results in msg. 'Select node: Content-dependent parameter filtering'.
Online help led me in a different direction, one thread led me to believe I needed to create a table entry for the filter in table TBD16 via BD81 for later attachment to the BAPI in the Distribution Model. Before this, I created two Z* ALE Object Type records for plant and material type in table TBD11 via BD95 for what I thought would provide a lookup back in BD81 for creation of a new filter record, but these objects are not found. Per the help, I am also unclear as to whether I would need to set up Receiver determination or Parameter filtering, nor where to make this step in the configuration happen?
Can anyone point me back in the correct direction to get a data filter set up for this BAPI within the Distribution Model ?
    Thanks - Mike

Just to clarify, what I am having trouble with is finding where exactly to plug in the name of the plant to be filtered? If using a message type such as MATMAS in a distribution model, it is very straight forward to navigate down from the 'Data filter active', and assign a value to whatever field you wish to filter via the 'List of Values'.  But in this example, message type QPMK required use of the BAPI MasterInspectionChar, and therefore the different method in creating the filter.
I cannot find similar functionality when navigating the BAPI related row, for MasterInspectionChar. The 'Change Filter' dialog popup displays a row for 'Container' and then 3 more rows containing 'BAPI structure...'.   Clicking the 'Attribute' checkbox on any of these rows sets 'Data filter active' as a node under the BAPI.  Double clicking the 'Data filter active' brings me back into the same dialog, and selecting any row with an attempt at this point to create a filter results in the 'Select node: content-dependent parameter filtering' warning.  Is this warning occuring because of missing configuration?
    Thanks - Mike

  • Receiver Determination steps for BPM scenario

    Hi Experts,
Scenario : SOAP -> Calling different webservices
    1. SOAP Client Request
    2. Call the Initial webserive to get the unique Id. No need to pass any request to call this webservice, but it will give the response.
    3. Take the Initial websrevice's response as a request to second webservice
    4. Pass the SOAP client request to Third webservice
    BPM steps
    1. Receive Step for SOAP Request
    2. Send Step for the Initial webservice call.
    3. Transformation step Initial webservice response to request change.
    4. Send Step for Second webservice (Pass the the Transformation step's target interface as a request)
    5. Send Step for Third webservice ( Pass SOAP client request)
I am done with the BPM flow. Could you please help to do the Receiver Determination steps.
Usually I follow the below steps.
    1. Sender Service to BPM
    2. BPM to other services. I have a doubt with the second step. I am not passing the SOAP client request to Initial webservice. So, please tell me how to proceed further for the BPM Receiver Determination steps..
    Thanks & Regards
    Sara

    Hey,
First, what is th purpose of your SOAP client request.
Is it just to trigger the BPM.
Second on what basis are you fetching the unique Id from initial web service.
If it is a normal scenario then, the reciever determination will be like this.
    Soap client-> BPM
    BPM->initial webservice
    BPM->second webservice
    BPM->third webservice
but in this particular scenario i dont know which data is being used to fetch the unique Id.

       </Invoice>
if my Invoiceprice is 0.00 in all invoice items , i need to send to a particular receiver.
In this case, how do i need formulate a receiver condition? i have tried all, but it is not working.
    Regards,
    Raveendra

    HI,
if i have two invoice items with one price with 0.00 and 30.00. your condition will find a receiver. But, it has to find receiver only when two invoice prices are 0.00
if i have two invoice items with one price with 0.00 and 30.00
    for ex:
    item  A = 0.00
    item  B = 0.00 / 30.00
But, it has to find receiver only when two invoice prices are 0.00
    rootnode/InvoiceItemDetail/InvoicePrice(A) = 0.00  AND  rootnode/InvoiceItemDetail/InvoicePrice(B) = 0.00 -
    > target A
    rootnode/InvoiceItemDetail/InvoicePrice(A) # 0.00 OR     rootnode/InvoiceItemDetail/InvoicePrice(B) # 0.00 -
    > target B

  • Part of a field name in receiver determination

    Hi All,
I want to find the value of part of a field name in order to use for receiver determination.
For Ex: Four characters starting from 10th position
Is this possible in XI? if yes how?

    Hi Prasad,
You can write a XPATH query in the condition editor of the Rx Determination.

  • Receiver Determination conditions

    Hi All
We have a scenario where a IDOC is trigerd in the ecc system and multiple IDOC is send to the XI system. Only when a certain field is 3  char or 5 char or 7char long should the file be dumped on the server. Is is possible to have a condition in the receiver determination to say if the field is between 100 and 999 or between 10000 or 99999 or between 1000000 and 9999999 to only create the files?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    hi,
Its quite easy to achieve this requirement.
You can edit the xpath in the Recv. Determination and then in combination with xpath standard functions achieve this.
have a lo0k at my blog - Customise your 'XPATH' Expressions in Receiver Determination
Also for xpath functions ref: http://www.w3schools.com/Xpath/xpath_functions.asp

  • Purpose of Enhanced Receiver Determination

    Hi
i go thrown  the some sap help link  .. But I did't understand.. so, can  any of you plz explain the what is the purpose of the  Enhanced Receiver determination..
for this.. in mapping side does we need to do any special  things.. or for a normal  scenario also.. can we use this..

    Hi !
    Enhanced Receiver Determination:
You use an enhanced receiver determination to have a mapping program determine the receivers of the message dynamically at runtime. Instead of creating the receivers in the receiver determination manually, you assign a mapping to the receiver determination and this returns a list of receivers at runtime.

    Enhanced Receiver Determination:

    Enhanced (Mapping-Based) Interface Determination
In an enhanced interface determination you do not enter the inbound interfaces manually, but instead first select a multi-mapping. You get the inbound interfaces from the target interfaces of the multi-mapping. The inbound interfaces are determined at runtime during the mapping step.
You typically use an enhanced interface determination if the source message has an element with occurrence 0 ... unbounded (for multiple items of a data record) and you want multiple messages (for the individual items) to be generated at runtime.

  • Data filter using receiver determination/Interface determination

    Hi Friends,
i have a scenario, which I need to filter the data based on one field that is "Amount field". the source data I am getting as flat file(.txt), The field values is 12 digit(e.g.. 000000000000,009999090000,945884949484).
I wanted to filter the records by Zeros and  Nonzero means all the records of [000000000000] into one file and another way.
I used condition editor, it is working fine for string. means if i use 'ABC' in condition (in right appeared) But  it is not if I give same way for  the above, value 0 or 000000000000.
    Thank you
    Bala

    Hi,
In Receiver Determination window condition box we can mentioned condition. Take two communication channels for '0's records file and non '0' records file
    sourcestructure.field= '000000000000'.............call service1 ('0' records file)
    sourcestructure.field# '000000000000'.............call service2 ( non '0' records file)
i think your problem will be sorted out

  • ACK for receiver determination with 2 interface determination

    Hi Forum,
I have a XI scenario, with a BPM, where i have a Send step,
this send step corrsponds to a receiver determination in Configuration,  and this receiver determination has 2 interface determination,
because the send step is like,
BPM to Receiver1, through sender message interface MI_Sender1, but there are 2 different receiver message interface namely MI_receiver1, and MI_receiver2,
.......hence 2 interface determination and 2 interface mappings accordingly,
and now when in BPM, i choose "transport acknowledgement" for this send step, my BPM stucks while waiting for the acknowledgement, but...in MONI, i am receivng both the acknowledgement, but in PE, workflow descrition, it waits for acknowledgement and finally fails,
    what's the reason,

check the workitems of both sender/receiver (ack) in moni (problem might be in BPM config).

  • Receiver determination doesn't work for same IDoc type but in differentSWCV

    hi guys,
we have an emergency now. Receiver determination doesn't work for same IDoc type but in different SWCV.Please check below for detail.
    1. The process flow is : R/3 IDoc -> XI -> Third party system
    2. In previous release R13, IDoc ORDERS05 was imported and used in XI and software component version is R13. And receiver determination was created.
    3. Now, in new release R17, IDoc ORDERS05 was imported from R/3 to XI again and software component version is R17. And in R17, the receiver determination created in R13 was used for both old interface(R13) and new interface in R17.
Then we encountered the problem, both interfaces doesn't work now, even we deleted the receiver condition(In R13, IDoc ORDERS05 was sent to system A, and in R17 IDoc ORDERS05 was sent to system B, RCVPRN was used as an condition).
Does anyone encounter this problem? really need and appreciate your help.
    -Eddie

    information from monitor:
Status     Sender               Service Sender Namespace                         Sender Interface
    reschedul  XXXCLNT100     urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages   ORDRSP.ORDERS05
columns for "Receiver Service","Receiver Namespace", "Receiver Interface" are blank
And then double click records in monitor, go into detail information...
Normally there's lots of setps existed, such as
    Inbound Message ( CENTRAL )
    Receiver Identification
    Interface Determination
    Receiver Grouping
Message Branch According to Receiver List
    Technical Routing
    Call Adapter
But now there's only one setp -
"Inbound Message ( CENTRAL )" existed, no any another setp..., and payload in inbound message looks good.
And in SMQ2, I checked the queue information, found there's an error - "An exception occurred that was not caught." No any other detail information for this error.

  • Receiver determination not found for one interface

    Hi,
I am receiving the message via SOAP and then sending to SAP as IDOC.
The communication is party o partyless communication.
I have configured 2 receiver determination for the same sender and receiver but with 2 different interfaces.
When i test the scenario via SOAP tool only one gets  executed and the second one neither throws an error nor getting executed.
I think i have a error in the configuration that i did for the 2nd interface since i am using the 1st receiver determination which has been created already ?
but in the Quick Test tool and Test tool in ID both the receiver determination is working fine.please provide the inputs
    Thanks in advance,
    Rgds,
    Vasanth.

    Hi All,
Thanks for all of your replies.
I have activated all the objects and checked it again once.
As i said earlier the sender and receiver are same and that's why i have been pushed to create 2 receiver determinations for the same file(not IDOC as i said above) to be dropped in to two different locations.
Also the configuration is party in sender to partyless in receiver.
    To give a clear explantion:
All the objetcs are activated and works fine when i test in the test tool in ID by specifying the inetrface and namespace.
    Sender1 - Int1 - sap1.com - SA - RD - ID - RA -Receiver1  = working fine when tested by ID test tool
    Sender1 - Int2 - sap2.com -SA- RD - ID - RA Receiver2  = working fine  when tested by ID test tool
RD = Receiver determination / SA = Sender Agreement
It is not working when i send the same file thru SOAP client tool and only one receiver determination is working and another is not.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks,
    RGds,
    Vasanth.
