Receiver JDBC CCerror "Could not do TCP/IP Connection to host Manufactured"
Hi,
I want to connect to MS SQL server 2000 Database from my PI 7.1 EHP1 server.
Basis team has installed MS SQL 2005 drivers in PI system by downloading it from the below link
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=c47053eb-3b64-4794-950d-81e1ec91c1ba
Network team has opened the 1433 port.
I installed 2005 drivers as I read it is backward compatible and there are plans of upgrading the SQL 2000 version to 2005 by the DB team.
Now I tried to send the data to the DB i get the below error in the receiver JDBC Communication channel.
Error when attempting to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException: Can not establish connection:: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Es konnte keine TCP/IP-Verbindung mit dem Host hergestellt werden. java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
The parameters which I gave in the CC are
JDBC driver : com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
Connection: jdbc:sqlserver://<ip>:1433;databasename=<DBname>
Can you please suggest what could be the reason for the issue?
Thanks,
Preethi
Hi All,
The above is issue was solved. The network team did not open the port 1433 properly. They made some mistake in the FW rule.
So, after the port 1433 being opened, I am able to connect to DB from XI server.
Thanks,
Preethi

No success upgrading iPhone to iOS 5.0.1. Received an error, "could not update due to firmware file not compatible". I have a Windows pc. Help??

Trying to update iphone.
Update did not work.
Now trying to turn phone back on and restore.
Received msg that could not back up iphone because it has not been set up yet.I have iOS 8.02 on my iPhone 5S and Itunes 11.4.0.18 on a Windows 7 computer. iTunes is not syncing newly added music CD's. It's set to automatically import CDs when they're loaded using the AAC encoder and error correction. After they're importedm the songs and albums show up in the iTunes library, but they don't sync with my iPhone.
I've tried the following: Went to the Genius Bar at the Apple store for advice, which was useless (unusual); deleted & reinstalled iTunes; switched from syncing all music to syncing manually (and checked every song, album & genre; deleted the newly-added CDs that didn't sync and re-loaded them.
Is this an iOS 8 problem? Am I encoding incorrectly? If not AAC encoder, then what? -
When syncing I receive a message "could not be synced because sync session failed to start"
When syncing I receive a message "could not be synced because sync session failed to start". I am using the latest iTunes and also phone is on latest version.
I'm wondering whether you're using the latest iTunes or not. If you're using the latest iTunes and still face the issue, then you should restart both your computer and your iPhone to make sure the sync process go on properly.

Package weblogic.jdbc.sqlserver could not be found
I am geting this error "package weblogic.jdbc.sqlserver could not be found"
I upgraded my JDK from 1.5_06 to 1.6_27 and I start geting this error. It was working fine with JDK 1.5_06.
I have also installed new weblogic 10.3.5 earlier it was 9.1
I dont know whether it is because of drivers or not??We are not using connection pooling but each
user has a seperate connection string
Please help me to resolve this?
ThanksWhere are you getting it? Your own code? Server component?
Upgrading software does not guarantee that server specific resources stay the same, you may need to do some migration steps to get it working again. I suggest you look for some documentation that describes how to upgrade to Weblogic 10 from Weblogic 9. If you want more help I suggest you ask this question in the weblogic forum.
WebLogic Server - Upgrade / Install / Environment / Migration
If you post a question there, be nice and post a link to it in this thread so people can follow it. -
why am i receiving the message "ipod could not be synced because connection to ipod was lost" when trying to transfer a downloaded library audiobook to my ipod, please?
- Reboot the computer
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Try another cable. !
- Try another USB port
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic. -

guys,
i have a problem here with the connection between a client host and a server database, using a new non-default listener LISTENER_BKP_1. The error showed is:

i had learned about this error here before, and i toke some notes as follows:

this means that it didn't reach the resource limites yet. What i can do to solve the problem ???
another important information is that connecting by the default listener LISTENER instead of the LISTENER_BKP_1 listener, the connection is completed successfully. There's enough SGA memory space too.

ORA-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connectionDon't do Oracle on Windows, so I'm not sure how the following relates to the Listener dealing with a dedicated server connection request on Linux/Unix.
On Linux/Unix, a dedicated server request means just that - a dedicated process has to be started to service that client. The Listener does it by using the parameters of the configured listener.ora service to execute +$ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle+. This process then starts up, and the Listener hands off the client connection for this process for servicing.
If there is a failure somewhere on this series of steps fail, the Listener throws the ORA-12518 exception. For example, the +$ORACLE_HOME+ has been incorrectly configured in listener.ora and it fails to execute and startup a dedicated server process.
And this relates to the underlying error you are seeing:
TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error
32-bit Windows Error: 2: No such file or directoryI think that the Listener on Windows uses the CreateRemoteThread() Win32 call to start up the server process thread. However, it needs a valid process identifier (of the existing Oracle instance) for this call - and thus needs to first identify the Oracle instance process. Could be that this step uses a ORACLE_HOME reference. And if that directory path is not valid, it is unable to identify the process id of the Oracle instance and thus unable to spawn a dedicated thread to service that client. -
Hi again,
I'm on my enterprise management console and Database Instance and Listener shows the green arrow, but the Agent Connection to Instance shows a red downward arrow and the error:

Details: ORA-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach)
My OraClrAgnt service is up and running (using winxp pro, oracle 11gR2), I'm on my home pc, all my ports are open (my machine's name is "abigail" and it is dmzhost)
Any suggestions to resolve this error?

TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection, XE 10g/WinXP
I've installed Oracle XE 10 on Windows XP. When I browse to the database homepage, I get this in listener.log:

TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
I don't think it is shortage of resources (just rebooted). I put "DIRECT_HANDOFF_TTC_LISTENER=OFF" in listener.ora .. no luck. I removed the listener.ora file altogether ... ditto.
What else could cause this?
SteveI can connect from SQLPlus. Laptop has 3 GB RAM.

I need some help!!
I can't connect to my db!! When i run my code, it triggers an Exception
called "Problem getting connection: could not get a db connection!". If someone know anything about it, please help me.
Thanks in advance...
Here is how my code looks like:
import java.sql.*;
import javax.sql.*;
class testejdbc
public static void main(String []args) throws Exception
Class.forName("org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver");
String url = new String("jdbc:firebirdsql:mydatasource");
Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(url, "mydba", "mypass");Hi,
Basically, the url should be follow a form depending on
different driver. and the form would be very resticted.
The best idea is to reference the docuement accompanying
with the driver. If the form is not correct, the connection
information that driver need may not be sufficient for
you. If you are sure that the url that you write is ok,
and check if you have the correct set up for the database.
wrong database name, database server port, address.
sometimes, the database server would have the restrict on
the connection number. If the request is over the the max
connection number, the connection might be rejected. It
depends on the database server, jdbc driver.(both of them
may have such a constraint.).
good luck,
Alfred Wu
