Recommend label printers

I'm looking into getting a label printer for work and wondered if anyone had any recommendations, mainly with regard to Address Book.app compatibility and driver software but also quality/cheapness/ecofriendliness of consumables.
Dymo's the one that immediately comes to mind but we've had a really good experience with Brother printers and driver software recently so I wondered whether I should give them a shot instead.
Any advice welcome.
P.S. we're in the UK too, so the stamp printing aspect of Dymo's is of no use to us, unless I've missed something and they've partnered with Royal Mail too? Maybe other printers out there have partnered with Royal Mail?
Actually, I've just noticed that Brother are indeed compatible with Royal Mail print-your-own stamps, so we'd be particularly interested in any feedback on Brother label printers with regard to Address Book.app compatibility and driver software.

  • Recommendations for printers for printable DVDs?

    Hi,
I need to print labels for DVDs and am prepared to buy a printer to do the job.
There are several Epson printers that do the job starting with the R220. A friend has an Epson R800 and finds it very frustrating and time consuming to use.
The Canon Pixma printers can also do the job but in North America this functionality is disabled (but I believe can be enabled). In Canada the Canon Pixma ip4300 is specified as supporting printing to DVDs.
Any recommendations on printers to consider or avoid?

You might check out Discus for printing directly onto discs. You can download the demo version and give it a try.

  • Problem Printing Labels on Zebra label printers

    Hi Every one
(there may be old solution for my problem, if there is, point me
    to that)
my environment is oracle 6, windows 2000. server is runnig on
    windows NT.
I am generating labels using oracle reports 6 for an application
customised for pharmaceutical company. report has driver report
calls another label generator report. no matter from where i
print the report to zebra S400 label printer, my report builder
crashes. if i run the report from rep file in application, my
application crashes. if i save the report to a pdf file and
print it using acrobat reader, it prints perfectly. if i use any
other application like access, vb etc. they generate label and
    print without any problems.
i have the latest windows 2k drivers for the printer. i also
have tried re-install oracle cleint on my pc. the result is
same. applications crash when print using oracle report to label
    printer?
has any one come across such a problem? is there a solution for
    it?
zebra label printers are pretty much a standard and are being
used in allmost all the client location that my deals with. and
they (printers) number in 1000's. in most of the cases labels
are generated using zpl language in ascii, but why cant oracle
reports print report generated labels to these printers?
zebra has no comments on this, but they demonstrate their
printer capabilities using all other windows based applications
and point back to oracle reports for the problem.
i appreciate any solution, lead, tip to overcome this problem.
    thanks and regards

    hello,
i would strongly suggest, you consult the metalink knwoledge
base and seach for existing problems. if you can not find
    anything, contact oracle support services.

  • Mac Compatible Label Printers

Our office needs to purchase a label printer that works well with Mac OSX. The printer would be used mainly to print file labels, so we don't need printers with elaborate postal programs. Has anyone had any experience with such a label printer? Our main requirements are ease of installation/use, reliability of product, print speed, and affordability/availability of labels.
    iBookG4 Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Hi Rosemary
I'm using an Epson LQ-570e with the CUPS "Epson 24 pin" driver. Printing around 1800 labels a day.
Take a look at OKI and call their customer support for a printer that fits you needs, and see if they'll give you tech support setting it up with a Mac. (Although I don't use one, I've heard good things)
To use an impact printer from OSX you'll have to use CUPS and set it up as a network printer. (my experience)

  • Label printers - label printing

    Hello all,
I have a scenario where i have to print shipping label, when i carry out outbound delivery processing.
we are in the process of setting up new label(zebra) printers, and would like to know whether i have to mention the label printer name in the print control function in the configuration.
if the basis team sets up the label printer in SAP, will the label print automatically in the zebra printer based on the print code or should i mention the label printer name in the print control function under configuration.
    Thanks,
    Maxx

    Max,
Usually for LOCL printing if it is only one shipping point or per delivery type then you can setup a condition record in NACE tcode.
Also the access sequence needs to be setup before the condition records
If you have multiple shipping points and different printers setup by the basis team then you would have to setup the output in VP01SHP or LE>Shipping>Basic Shipping Functions>Output Control>Define Print Paramets shipping.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
    Regards
    Kiran

  • Which label printers work with Reports 10g?

    Hi,
I'm looking to buy a label printer for my application which is Forms/Reports 10g.
I didn't have a lot of luck with Oracle Reports printing to non-standard printers, so any suggestion on what make / model that you have used in your projects is appreciated.
By the way, the Application Server is 10g (9.0.4) installed on a Windows 2003 server machine.
    Thanks.

  • Updated list of label printers compatible with Multi-Order Shipping?

The only lists I can find in here are are from threads that are 5+ years old. Does anybody have an updated list? Thanks in advance!

The v10.51.2.0 driver is compatible with 10.7.2. I am using this version with my MG6150. And if you look at this link from the Canon Australia web site, you can see that they show this version 10.51.2.0 being released to add support of OS X 10.7.

  • LABEL printing using Thermal printers during GR for a PO

    Hi
Can you pl. let me know the steps involved to print a label on thermal printer
when GR is made against a PO.
appreciate if you can provide me with detailed steps
    Thanks
    Prasanna
Edited by: B.A.PRASANNA KUMAR on Oct 26, 2009 11:14 AM

    Hi,
The steps are described in SAP Notes #135894 and #.
The main problem with label printers is that all these printers have their own unique printer languages which are not supported by the SAP system. So Note #183777 and #135894 describe a workaround.
All print data including all printer sequences are created by an external program and uploaded into the R/3 system. As per Note #183777, this is done with Intermec's design program LabelShop PRO.
You should use device type LB_INT to print the barcode labels. The SAP system only replaces the symbols and besides that it sends the print data to the printer which was uploaded.
So you need to design the label with LabelShop PRO or another third party program for Intermec label printers. You then need to upload the label file to a standard text in transaction SO10 as described in the Notes above.

  • What exactly is the new "Recommended   apple logo" that is now appearing on posted answers?

For the last few weeks, many of my and other's posted answers that have not been reacted to within a day or two by the original poster are updated with a copy of the answer under the original question with a green border, like the "solved" category, but marked "Recommended" with an Apple logo in grey.  No points are awarded.   What does this really mean?
It is common for the original poster not to react for longer than two days but now if they see the new "Recommended " label I imagine that they are unlikely to flag the reply as helpful or solved.
I seem to remember that there was an announcement about this but I was unable to find it.
    Geoff.

Thanks for the link  King_Penguin - how did you find it?   I find the communities website very hard to search effectively.
As I thought I remembered he link says:
"...... Apple Recommends also lets you earn reputation points for sharing your knowledge. If a Specialist recommends your post, you will receive 5 points in addition to any points you receive from other community members......"
I have never received any points for recommended replies.  Nor has any original poster ever awarded any points after a post of mine has got the "recommended" treatment (though apparently they can still do so).
Of course, I don't respond just to collect points but to help fellow users.  Nevertheless it is rather demotivating if one gets no recognition at all.

  • How can I include telephone numbers when printing address labels using Dymo Labelwriter Turbo 330?

I am able to pull info from Apple Address Book using the Dymo Labelwriter application, but I cannot seem to include telephone numbers. Does anyone know how to do this?

    short answer
    1 - NO
2 - It is up to apple to correct the issue and I have heard they will look at it. It doesn't hurt to call customer support both apple and dymo to let them know you are unhappy about this [it used to work fine in later versions of 10.3]. Also don't let them convince you that you must have installed the driver wrong or something. I have had the same problem on 3 different macs [one of which was brand new] with 2 different dymo label printers.

  • Showing input in a label control

Ok, so I'm using actionscript really for the first time, but
I do have a solid background in PHP. I am basically trying to
recreate a file that we lost the original for. Basically, a person
enters a single or two-digit number and then it prints out in a
stem and leaf plot. I think I just need some help getting going,
I'm kinda stuck on how to use an if or case statement to make it
print out. The link for the original file is below, and I have to
recreate the whole thing because it doesn't print out ending 0's in
the leaf plot. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it.

  • Datamax Label printing and SAPSprint

Hi colleagues, we're looking at implementing Datamax label printers and my understanding of OSS Note 490295 - Printing labels with Datamax DPL printers, is we need to use Bartender to generate the labels, import into sapscripts, etc... before sending to printer.  Also, says we need a windows pc to run SAPSprint.
We have been through the solution, but want to validate our understanding,
    My questions,
    1. can we avoid the use of seagull bartender - and if we avoid, how much more complexity will this add in the generation of the form?
    2. is there ways to connect directly from SAP to the datamax printers, avoiding using a Windows print server?
    3. do we need bartender other than generating the forms in conjunction with sapscript?
    Thanks for your help!
    Many thanks!

  • How can I get Lion to work with label printer- Brother  QL 570 or Dymo 450 Turbo?

I can't get Lion to work with label printers, either Brother QL 570 or Dymo Turbo 450. I want to uninstall Lion and use Snow Leopard unless there is a way to make Lion work with these devices. Any ideas?

Dymo has released new drivers since Lion came out. Have you downloaded and
installed them from the Dymo website?
Some people have said that their Dymo label printers were set to off line by Lion, but
worked fine after going to Print & Scan, selecting the Dymo printer, and making sure
it was active/on-line. I had to do that with my Dymo 450 Label Writer.
I cannot offer any tips about Brother, but you may wish to check their website
    for latest drivers.

  • Printing of GR/GI Slips and Batch Labels

    Hello All,
Currently,  at my client's place system is configured such a way that after completing  the MIGO process, it  prints 2 copies of  the GR/GI slips whenever the goods movement takes place. Now along with  the GR/GI slips they want to have the system prints the Batch labels for the quantities of units received.
They want to  print the batch labels by using the MARA-WESCH field on the Plant Data/Storage view of the material master. But after checking that field I found nothing (not a single value) in it. But still the system  prints  2 GR/GI slips after doing  MIGO.
I am not able to figure out  how to configure the system so that it should print number of Batch Labels by using the value in this field without affecting the current flow of GR/GI Slips. If anyone know about this then please respond.
    Thanks.

    Hi
We set up a separate condition record (Z001) which prints labels in addition to out 2 GR slips
We purchased some software from Zebra (who supplied our label printers) that is specific to SAP. We created the labels using the Zebra software and then imported the layout.
Therefore with a separate condition we could maintain separate parameters for the number required to be printed.
