Reconcile user data in child tables in OIM
Hello,
I have a Oracle Table (i.e. Employee) contains employee records. An employee has a multiple department IDs and its details and this is stored as different records in the source table. For example in the below table there are two different entries for a employee "E1" due to two DEPT_ID (D1, D2).
Example: Sample Oracle Table: Employee
EMP_ID EMP_NAME DEPT_ID DEPT_NAME Contact
E1 Steve D1 ADMIN C1
E1 Steve D2 HR C1
Now the problem is that, I would like to perform trusted reconciliation on such table in OIM. While performing reconciliation I wanted to store DEPT information as child table of a employee record, since OIM user table schema cannot contain multi-valued attributes. I am not able to figure out how to achieve this. I am using Database Application Table Connector. The OOTB GTC 9.1 connector does not seem to have any functionality with respect to reconciling data in child tables in OIM. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Will I have to write a new GTC?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I'm afraid GTC cannot be configured to reconcile Organizations. I think you'll need to build custom task wich querys your Departments table and creates the Organizations throug APIs (using the "*tcOrganizationOperationsIntf*" interface you can manage Organizations).
Also, the OOTB GTC wont let you assing more than one Organization in your trusted GTC, so probably you'll need to code an algorithm in the Scheduled Task (using APIs too) that querys your User-Departments table and does the appropiate Organization assignations.
To be honest I've never done this before, but It seems to be a quite compicated development if you want to ensure that all the possible issues are solved in the code.

How to get max date in child table
I have tow tables Departments as the master table and Employees as the child table
The employees table (the child) has employee_hiring_date Field .
I want to get the maximum hiring date in the employee table for every department to make validation over it.
How to make this.It's more or less described in the doc I gave you.
OK, lets do it with your sample.
I assume you have accessors defined to navigate between the master and the detail (in both directions). The accessors on entity level are named
"Employees1" to get the employees of a department
"Departments1" to get the department of an employee
1. In the Departments entity you add a transient attribute "MaxSalary" as type Number, select 'Expression' as 'Value Type' and type "Employees1.max("Salary")" in the value field. Make sure to uncheck the 'Persistent' attribute in the dialog. This will mark the attribute as transient.
2. in the entity Employees open the 'Business Rules' and select the 'Saraly' attribute. Add a rule by clicking the green plus. 'Rule Type' is 'Compare', 'Operator' is 'LessOrEqualTo' and in the 'Compare With' drop down select 'Expression'. In the Dialog enter "Departments1.MaxSalary". Switchto the 'FailureHandling' tab and type in a message you like to see (e.g. 'The Salary is too high!") and save your work. The magic is done in the expression "Departments1.MaxSalary" which selects the department of the employee and gets the value of the attribute 'MaxSalary' which is an other Groovy expression which gets the max salary of all employees in the department.
3. To get the 'MaxSalary' attribute from the entity to the view object, you can open the VO editor and select the 'Attributes' section. Click the arrow down right of green plus and select 'Add Attribute from Entity, shuffle the MaxSalary attribute you see in the Department entity to the right and save your work.
If you now test the app in the Tester try changing the salary of an employee to a value higher then max of the department and you should see your error message.

Getting error while reconciling user data
When I run schedule task to add role RO to user, I get below error:

"Required filed missing"
Where there should be event linked or users match status, in recon manager, i am getting required field missing....where should i look for so resolve this issue...
Also, user role is getting processed but the user id field is showing under unprocessed data....

Pull User details from Oracle Table (TSS) to OIM
Hi
I am learning OIM so, please excuse if this is a silly question.
I have created a Generic Technology Connector to connect to a user table in oracle database with correct parameters and the GTC was successful. I have done the field mapping between the source table - reconcilation staging and OIM.
Now that I want to see the sample user details that I have stored in the oracle user table from the OIM.
I have assumed that this oracle user table is the Trusted Source System and I have to pull the data from this table to OIM.
So, after creating the connector, what is the next step i need to do so that I see these sample users in the OIM.
I appreciate any help / directions.

You have to do following:
1.Run the GTC schedule task.
2.Go to reconciliation manager and see if reconciliation event is getting generated and event is getting linked.
3.When reconciliation is finished just go to web console.Users->Manage->Search

Child Table Cache Problem - Only in Environment
Hi All,
I have master-child tables in a page. Master table is based on a VO and child table is based on pl/sql EO. When user updates any child table row and hits on save, I load the same page again by releasing AM. The problem is when the page loads again after update, two records are being shown in child table. One record with old value and other record with the modified value. But in database only record exists and it is successfully updated. If we again hit "Apply" on the page then only the updated record is shown. I am sure this is due to vo/eo caches. But after insert/update, I am forwarding to same page with retain am set to false. So this should clear-off all associated caches. I had even tried to clear vo caches explicitly before redirection. But even this doesnt help. This issue exists only in the environment but cannot be reproduced locally in JDev. Its working perfectly fine in JDev.
Any pointer on the above issue?

Murarihmm...caching may be happening at webbean level rather than the VO level. You can confirm this by getting the value of VO.getrowcount in processRequest.
For both Classical table as well as Advanced Table, clearcache() method is available to clear the cache of data object for inner table. Call this in processRequest. You can put in a check to call this only when you self-redirect to this page. -
ADCS Remove child table is not working
Hi
The AD out-of-box adapter ADCS Remove from child table is not working correctly.
when i remove data from child table the task status shows completed, but the description inside the task shows that the GROUP HAS BEEN REMOVED ALREADY FROM TARGET.
But on checking the AD I found the groups were not removed actually.

The error message below is performed when the connector tried to remove the user from a user group removeUserFromGroup() (ADCS Remove User From Group), so the user group will not be removed. To delete a group, you have to run the delete group task of AD Group process.
When the user has already been removed from the group, the connectors shows null to the tcADUtilLDAPController::modifyAttributes():null

Child table data Recon is not happening

I have a requirement to create a custom scheduler in OIM11g, to generate recon events.
-I have one parent field - which is 'required' in the RO recon mapping
- Rest 5 fileds are together as one in a child table and again mentioned in RO recon field mappings
While I am able to generate the recon event, but have not been able to pass the child table data/rows, as together, to the child table data in the recon.
*********Also I am able to pass child data and generate an event, if I create 5 child tables- one for each field linked to the parent form by using the following methods:
reconciliationOperationsIntf.createReconciliationEvent(resObjName, usrAttributes,false);
reconciliationOperationsIntf.addMultiAttributeData()
reconciliationOperationsIntf.providingAllMultiAttributeData()
******However my requirement is to have only one child table- with all the 5 fields as rows in that only one child table (whose recon data then should come in recon event).
******I am getting the following error frequently when I am trying to do solve this issue, by using reconciliationOperationsIntf methods
"Oim Child Table Name is null based on child mapping <fieldname> "
Kindly tell what approach should be taken to solve this issue. Any general code for the same, posted will be a great help.
Also tell me if the above issue is some configuration issue with recon mappings or something else.

I have mapped the child table--- inside RO-> Object Reconciliation mapping--> Add Field
I am giving any name to this field, and type as 'multi valued attribute'
Under this above created field , I have then added the 5 fields of Child table.
Created recon profile.
It is still giving the same error as- " oracle.iam.reconciliation.exception.ReconciliationException: Oim Child Table Name is null based on child mapping <Field 1 of the 5 fields>l "

OIM - query regarding child tables

I have a query regarding child tables. For example, when a user is removed from an AD group, his corresponding entry from the AD groups child table will be deleted. I want to know whether it is deleted of marked as deleted. Can I get the information later on that the user was removed from which AD group?

OIM 11g: Email template - child table columns
Hi All
How can I fetch the child table (process form child table) columns in the OOTB email templates. When I select Process form data on the email definition screen on Design console, I am only able to select the main process form's columns.
Please help. Its urgent.OOTB not possible you have to write code for fetching child data.
I suggest send mail using custom code and fetch child data using OIM APIs. -

A quick question about OIM child tables. I need to send the child table data in a mail whenever a record is inserted or deleted in the child table. This is same as sending notification on addition or removal of an target resource role.
I want to know that how I can access the child table record that has been deleted (using OIM API).
When a record is added, I am able to get the information from the table data as a new records was updated in the table.The easiest way would be to just have a task that is kicked off as a result of the add or remove in the child form task.

Display of all OIM User attributes on the Step 3: Modify Connector Configuration page
On the Step 3: Modify Connector Configuration page, the OIM - User data set now shows all the OIM User attributes. In the earlier release, the display of fields was restricted to the ones that were most commonly used.

Attributes of the ID field are editable
On the Step 3: Modify Connector Configuration page, you can modify some of the attributes of the ID field. The ID field stores the value that uniquely identifies a user in Oracle Identity Manager and in the target system.
Can anyone please guide me how to get both things as I am getting only few fields of user profile in OIM-USer data set and also not able to modify ID field.
I am using OIM 9.1 on Websphere application server 6.1

Data in the table changes when multiple users try to submit data
I have a dynamic table. The table is created in the wdDoModifyView. The user can load data into the table from an excel file. So I have a "Load" button that loads the data from the selected excel file to the table. I also have a "Submit" button. This "Submit" button converts the data to an xml file and make a call to an oracle stored procedure for validation check. If there's an error it will be returned and displayed to the user. If none, a summary of data for posting will be displayed to the user. If the data is correct and the user hit the ok button, the same data will be return to oracle sp for loading in the table.
The problem we encountered is when multiple users are loading and submitting at the same time, the data displayed in the dynamic tables changes after clicking the ok button. It is as if, the table displays the data being loaded by other user.
This is an error that is difficult to recreate. This doesn't happen all the time. I hope you somebody could enlighten me why this is happening. I'm not sure if it has something to do with multithreading or session.

Did you mean storing view instances in static references and accessing them outside the wdDoModifyView is not a good idea? In wdDoInit the nodes are dynamically created according to the xml file being returned by the database. This node is stored in a static variable which is also used in wdDoModifyView to create the dynamic table.
What do you suggest? We're still encountering same issue when multiple users are uploading data. -

How do I show data from a child table in a Modal Window?
I have an application where each customer might have multiple addresses and phone numbers which are stored in child tables. When I show the customer in a record on a screen I can place a Modal Window button on the screen which can be pushed at runtime
to display detail information for the particular customer parent table which works great. However, I would also like to display the data from the address and phone number child tables. Is there a way to do that? Or can I just launch a hole separate screen
which would automatically display the needed data for the particular customer? If yes, how?

The “add contactaddress” link does not show up on the right.
The contactaddress table is a child of the contact table.
The contact table is a child of the contactlink table.
And the contactlink table is a child of the person table.
I have it set up this way because the contact in the contact table may be a contact to multiple persons in the person table and I do not want to re-enter the contact info every time the contact is used.
In the list detail screen of the person table I can see the contactlink child collection so that I can see the name of the person in the contact table at runtime. However, the contactaddress collection is not related to the person table so it does not show
up on the right hand side of the design screen as an “add contactaddress”; nor is there “add contact” link.
What I would like to happen during runtime is that it is not necessary to switch screens from the person list detail screen to a contact list detail screen to see the addresses and phone numbers for the contact.
Is my setup unnecessarily convoluted? Is there a better way? Please see the two snapshots below.
Perhaps there is a way to call up a Detail screen from the List Detail at runtime?
