Recorded video has no audio

Hi, i have lumia 1020, the problem is that the recorded video has no audio. It worked for the first 2 video i have made . But it doesn't anymore.I have done a factory reset. But it still not working. The sound is not recorded anymore.
Is there a way to solve this problem.
Thanks !

Hi gent123,
This is for a Lumia 925, right? When did this issue start to happen? Did something happen to your phone prior to this issue? Are you also experiencing the other issues mentioned above, like issues with voice commands and audio note recording? What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
The video audio is captured by the phone's secondary mic, which is located on the top of the phone, beside the headset port. If you have a phone cover that might block the secondary mic, try removing it for a while and see if the audio will be captured when recording videos. Try also to reboot the phone by pressing and holding the volume down + power keys until it vibrates and restarts.
Make sure that the phone's software and system apps are updated as well. Check this link for steps on how to verify if the system apps are up-to-date: Nokia Windows Phone 8 App Updates.

  • Recorded Videos Have No Audio

    Lumia 920 running Amber
As above, have noticed that videos recorded recently have no audio, but I have older videos that do have audio.
I have tried making some test videos to see if I was blocking the microphone but this is not the case.
Can anybody tell me how to fix this, and more importantly, if I can restore the audio to the videos I've already recorded.
    Thanks

There was an issue reported with this since last month and as far as i know an update has been released, have you the latest software and how old is your sim card you are using now?
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Ffmpeg records video only, no audio

I'm trying to record my desktop (or single programs) with ffmpeg. The video quality is okay (would be better, if I had a better pc, I guess), but somehow, I cannot record any audio. I did it with
    $ ffmpeg -s 1280x1024 -r 30 -f x11grab -i :0.0 -acodec libmp3lame -ab 128k -vcodec mpeg4 -sameq -y testtestaudio.mp4
    or
    $ ffmpeg -s 1280x1024 -r 30 -f x11grab -i :0.0 -acodec libfaac -ab 128k -vcodec mpeg4 -sameq -y testtestaudio.mp4
but I always get a result like that:
    video:9956kB audio:0kB global headers:0kB muxing overhead 0.036333%
which means, that ffmpeg didn't record the audio output.
I don't know where to start to get the audio problem fixed. Has anyone a similiar problem or does someone know, why it does not record? Do you need any more information from me?

I already sended ChemBro my script via e-mail but it might be also interesting for someone of you:
    # -V0 means verbosity level 0 for the rec command of SOX.
    /usr/bin/rec /home/hb/t_game.wav -V0 &
    /usr/bin/ffmpeg -f x11grab -y -r 15 -s 864x640 -i :0.0 -vcodec huffyuv /home/hb/t_game.avi
    #/usr/bin/ffmpeg -f x11grab -y -r 15 -s 688x544 -i :0.0 -vcodec huffyuv /home/hb/t_game.avi
    #/usr/bin/ffmpeg -f x11grab -y -r 15 -s 688x544 -i :0.0 -vcodec mjpeg /home/hb/t_game.avi
    # Do a hard kill for rec after ffmpeg's X11 recording session has ended
    killall /usr/bin/rec
    /usr/bin/mencoder -ovc copy -oac copy -audiofile /home/hb/t_game.wav -o /home/hb/game.avi /home/hb/t_game.avi
    rm /home/hb/t_game.avi
    rm /home/hb/t_game.wav
You have of course to adjust the output path for audio and video. I couldn´t make rec really "silent" and you´ll see the volume meter being written to the console. Not nice but it works....:D

  • Videos has no Audio

So, has anyone found out what version of Quicktime will work with iTunes, to give me audio with my iPod converted videos ?? It plays the videos fine outside of iTunes and my iPod.

If the videos are multiplexed MPEG files then the audio and the video are muxed onto the same track. QuickTime, and therefore any application that uses QT like iTunes, the iPod, iMovie (Mac app), etc. expect two separate tracks, one video and one audio. So when you convert these muxed files, the video is played and the audio is not heard.
iPod plays video but not audio of some exported files
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302588
So you need to do a conversion on the file first. As Niel already pointed out, MPEG Streamclip is a popular one that comes in both Mac and Windows versions and is known to "repair" this problem.
There are other applications that can do this as well. Try searching the iLounge.com web site for more conversion help. But your root cause is the muxed MPEG files.

  • MP4 video has no audio in itunes or on ipad 2i

    Hi
I have some digital camera videos which using VLC software i have changed to MP4 and on my laptop they play well with good audio sound.
Once i add them io itunes the picture is distorted and there is no audio.
I have checked all the volume controls and still no joy
I have not updated my Ipd to OS7 yet.
    Any ideas??
    Claire

"Muxed" means that the video and audio are together on one track. FCP needs them to be in separate tracks. As mentioned above, get Mpeg Streamclip--it's free and is TREMENDOUSLY useful. When you drop the clip into it, you want to export as "Quicktime" (the resulting file will be a .mov file). Streamclip will present you with a number of codec choices and other settings. Once that file has been imported into FCP and the clip then dropped into the FCP video timeline, the audio will also show up in its own separate timeline.

  • Photoshop Video has no audio when playing WMV files, please help.

Hello.  My Photoshop video editor works great with MOV files after installing Apple Quicktime the other day.
Today I tried to load a WMV file into Photoshop's video editor.  I get the video, but no audio.  (The subject file plays perfectly in Windows Media Player.)  The master audio mute at the left end of the timeline window says the audio is not muted (and I test toggled while running the video).  And the video properties dialog that is accessible on the video clip icon itself shows the audio is not muted, and that the volume is set at 100%.   I see no other place where the audio could be killed.
    QUESTIONS:
    1) Is this another file type compatability issue, and if so, how can this be fixed?
    2) Would Apple Quicktime PRO be appropriate to convert the WMV file into a MOV file, so that I could then work with all of my WMV files?
Thank you for your assistance, Chuck

Load the movie into QuickTime Player, open the Movie Inspector (Window menu), and look at the Format section. That will show the codecs used for the video and audio, the audio being the second one listed. Post that information here and someone can probably tell you what you'll need.
    Regards.

  • Can i play audio and record video at the same time, disabling the external mike, so the video has that audio?

can i play  audio while recording a video so that the audio is recorded with the video? .. disabling the inboard mic, ? .. thank you

    Hi SwedelostinAmerica,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
The iPhone can maintain multiple pairing records, but it can only connect to one headset or hands-free device at a time. However, in your situation there may be a solution. You can connect the iPhone via Bluetooth for calls and use the 3.5mm jack on your iPhone and car radio to connect for music.
The following article explains Bluetooth pairing and usage. Please use it as a reference.

  • Screen recording-video pauses while audio continues

When I make a screen recording, the audio and video are playing perfectly (I use soundflower for the audio). However, when I go to watch my screen recording, it starts off like normal but about 30 seconds into the video, the video pauses while the audio continues playing like normal. Any reason as to why this is happening? I'm not just recording my screen but also a video from a website, don't know if that makes a difference.
    Thanks

I am having the same issue I posted this elsewhere
I have a Mid 2010 Mac Mini Server (full specs below) and very recently it has developed a strange problem.  I'll be watching something on iTunes and the video will stop but the audio continues.  If I move the mouse and click on the screen the video suddenly plays very fast untill it catches up with the audio and then for a while it will play normally.  I can go through this process 3-4 times an hour before I give up and stream to my iPad instead.
in the beginning it only happened when I was using the HDMI cable but recently it happens when the mini VGA adaptor is plugged in too.
its beginning to be very frustrating so any help would be truly appreciated.
    thanks

  • Recorded video has saturation clicks in sound track

Using my iPhone 4S running latest iOS6. Using the inbuilt camera app in video mode. I recorded a performance art event and all the audio on the video track has clicking sounds throughout which are so loud they have ruined the recording. Looking at the audio waveforms they all appear to be saturated where the clicks happen. There is no way to adjust the gain control using the camera app. Is there any solution or am I going to be unable to record any video in situations where the ambient sound is loud?
My phone is in a LifeProof case, if this makes a difference to the audio saturation.
Should I purchase a separate mini jack microphone?
Any third party video recorder app with gain control you know of?
    Thanks,
    Steve

Well, for what it's worth, I've not had too much success with it myself (otherwise I'd have made some suggestion).
If I have some minor clicks I tend to surgically remove them in editor. It can take ages, so I'd love to know an easier way too!

  • Video has gaps - Audio from second source intact Merge/Sync question

I have multiple video files (the camera shut down and restarted 6 times) with a single complete audio file. I have been able to merge the first video file with the entire audio file*, is there anyway to sync the next video (which has a section of identical audio) to the new merged file, and then continue with clips 3, 4, 5, and 6?
    * Net result is a 10 minute video synced perfectly to a 2 hour audio file.

You'll have to do this manually.

  • GLC: Recorded video has red and green flashes

I tried Googling for a solution but GLC appears to be such an obscure program that none of the results are even related
I finally got GLC working mostly correctly on Arch64. It records my game in Wine, but when I play back the video it has a red or green "flash" every few seconds that is really disruptive. I know glc-capture has a bunch of options, but I'm not sure what most of them do so I was hoping somebody knew how to fix this problem without me trying different combinations of options until something hopefully works.

Alright I've done some more playing around with it but I don't think I'm any closer to a solution.
I've tried pretty much every command line switch to GLC that I think could have any effect at all but nothing changes. The game in question I'm trying to record is EVE Online. The intensity of the flashes seems to vary throughout the recording, here's what I can gather:
    - No flashes at all during the login screen (which does have a bunch of 3D rendering, it's not just a flat text box or anything)
    - Moderate flashes when flying in space, primarily when I try to pan the camera
    - Video goes to complete garbage when I dock in a station. Not a single frame from inside the station is output to the video, it just loops the last in-space frames with lots of colors and other garbage obscuring the screen
I can upload a video if anyone thinks it would help. I'd really like to get this working, GLC appears to be the only program under Linux that can be used to record games. It seems like I'm so close to a solution yet so far away.

  • New 70D owner wanting to record video - has questions

I recently purchased a 70D due to the gratifying comments of satisfied owners of this camera and touting it's ability to shoot great video.  My question is this:  I want to shoot event video's such as HS plays, graduations, weddings, etc. and am asking if there are issues with recording at this length of time such as overheating, shutting down, etc.  I know that it has a 29:59 limit and you just need to stop and restart before that time and continue recording.  Is this a fair statement or am I in trouble if I want to record something with any length.
    Thanks in advance!
    Dave

No problem with heating or anything. Moving shooting will stop if you use a slow card, so get the fastest one possible.

  • Randomly a sound track to a video has no audio or just parts of it.

Working on a video for Youtube last night and all ok, today some audio tracks have no sound, other parts just have sections missing. The meter shows no sound. If I play the video in media player the sound is ok. Checked my audio setting and all seem ok.

  • ITunes purchased video has no audio or out of sync

I purchased a TV series in the iTunes store and there is no audio on one of the TV episodes and it is out of sync in another episode by about 3 seconds. I have confirmed that it is the video files themselves that are to blame since iTunes and quicktime on 3 different machines all have the same problem.
I need to be able to redownload these episodes, but iTunes does not allow multiple downloads without paying for them again. Since iTunes never delivered the files correctly in the first place, there should be an exception in this case and I be allowed to redownload the two episodes again.
Can someone please advise on the best course of action, or who to contact to achieve this.

  • Built in mic and isight records video but no audio- what happened?

    Hello everyone,
My iMac won't record audio for iMovie. I have done this before; but now tried adjusting settings etc but still nothing. Sound comes out (Garageband, itunes, alerts etc), and sound goes in (Garageband; no problem) but it won't work for iMovie. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi
I would go to the Apple menu (top left corner)
    Then down to System preferences
    Here select Sound
See if Sound in is set to Line or internal mic.
