Recording two programs whilst watching a previousl...

Until a few weeks ago I have been able to record two programs AND watch a previous recording without difficultly. Now, for example, if I have set up two recordings to start at 9pm and before that time I start to watch a recording come 9pm the recording I am watching stops and I get the black screen with the blue 'continue' box.  I press continue and it just keeps popping up.  (This would have happened previously but as soon as I pressed 'continue' the recording would indeed continue).  Now if I want to continue watching the recording I have to go in and delete one of the recordings that has just started.  I hope that all makes sense!  It is really annoying and I don't understand what has changed to make this happen?  anyone got any ideas?

How annoying is that. I haven't cone across this myself has anyone else?
I hope it is not another "feature"

  • Fault recording two programmes

Hi, I'm having an issue recording on my Sky+HD 2TB box, when trying too record a programme that's already got something else planned to be recorded at the same time my box previously added it to the planner and if you would try to record a third programme, it would throw up a screen telling you to delete one  of the previously planned programmes, this was fine on the count of the box only having two feeds,  it would then give the "colour button" option of going to advanced settings where you could see how all three would overlap.now since the very recent minor update which added the kids planner part on the epg, when I go to record a second programme, it pops up with a messege saying that "You already have scheduled recordings at this time, Press BACK UP to return.", the term "recordings" implies there are more than one previously planned programmes but as you can see from image 1, I only have the one,  so I currently can't record two simultaneous recording, I have done a sky+ rebuild using the HOUSEKEEPING function and I have double checked my sat feed physically and on screen and both are live and well, the only thing I can think of is that it's something that's occurred at the same time as the the minor update last week that had added the new kids section on my home screen which is when this problem started. I've tried all that I can currently think off, I am a self confessed beta tester geeky sort of guy and have tried everything an advanced end user can do or can currently think to try, so I'm pretty lost with this at the moment

The new Clash screen came in with R011 and isn't much use as it no longer shows you the full clash, nor does it let you change things without going into the Planner.
That notwithstanding, that doesn't explain the issue you're now getting when trying to record two programs.
Presumably, you can watch one program whilst another is recording? Meaning that both feeds are working fine.

  • Playing back Recorded TV Programs using Windows Media Player and only hearing Sound from Front Speakers

    Hi All,
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Service Pack 1 with Windows Media Player 11 installed.
When I click on one of my Recorded TV Programs to watch and hear, I can only hear the Sound coming from the Front Speakers.
When I right-click on the Program and open it up in Real Player Cloud. I can indeed watch the program and hear Clear Sound coming from all 5 Speakers plus the Subwoofer.
What setting do I change to use Windows Media Player and have sound coming from all 5 Speakers and the Subwoofer?
    Thank you!

    Hi Andreas,
    Thanks for the reply.
The link you put up, takes me to the page, but
"The requested URL /surround/www_lynnemusic_com_surround_test.wma was not found on this server."
    That was WaterFox.
    The webpage cannot be found
    This in Internet Explorer 11.0
The Files in question were Recorded by Beyond TV to my Local Hard Drive.
When I open the recording in Real Player Cloud, installed on my computer, not streaming over the Internet, I hear it correctly played.
When I use Windows Media Player, nothing can be heard from the Rear Speakers.
Speakers and Hardware are working fine.

  • How to watch a live broadcast show while recording two other shows

If you have a TV with a QAM tuner built in and you use a splitter to connect the cable to the cable/antenna input of your TV while leaving a connection to the DVR, you will be able to watch a broadcast show live while recording two other shows on your DVR.  I tried this and it worked, but the channels I had access to (that seemed to be ones I was interested in) were basically the broadcast channels (in my area 3.1, 6.1, 10.1, 12.1, etc.).  Obviously you don't have access to the other features such as on demand, but it's handy to be able to handle three shows at the same time as long as one is on one of the channels available with the direct connection to your TV.
Of course, this also provides a way to avoid the cost of additional set top boxes as long as you don't need access to the additional channels features like on demand.
    Bob S.

OR if you're tv's older and doesn't have the qam tuner, you can hook up a HD antenna for 30 dollars, and if you live in an area that gets reasonable reception, you'll get something similiar to what you describe.
    both are good solutions.

  • NiScope EX Multi Record vi program

    Hi,
I have a question in niScope EX Multi Record.vi program. I was not explaining it well in my previous mail. That is why people can not answer my question. This time, I will explain clear.
Attached "abc" is my prgram with niScope EX Multi Record.vi prgram.  This is my question. How come I can not get the waveform when I do the same action in the seond time? Here is how my prgram work. First, I press "reset"  push button, the light will go off and press it again the light turn off. The prgram do nothing, just reset the value of the voltmeter and current meter. Second, I press the "enable" button, the voltmeter and current meter get reading since I have a subprgram under timeout in the event structure. Then, I press the "enable button" again to turn on the light. Third, I press the "bark button", my hardware will be shocked and output waveform, since I have a subprogram, niScope EX Multi Record.vi, I set the right parameter, I will get the "shock pulse waveform".
Everything looks good and working. Then I press the "bark" push button again to turn the light off. I want to do the same action the second time to see if the waveform of niScope EX Multi Record will generate again because normally I tried the same action the second time. the waveform will generate again. Here I am talking about I use the niScope EX Multi Record.vi prgram without anything and event structure and I did the same action as what I said in the above procedure. But, I did the same action in the second time in this "abc" vi program with niScope EX Multi Record. vi prgram, I could not get a new waveform, I don't understand why? could you please tell me what I did wrong? my niscope EX Multi Record.vi prgram is out of the event structure, what I see is like this prgram is alone just like the one I tried without event structure before. I am not sure if this single prgram mixed with event structure, it will be what? will it be different like I put two subprgrams in one block diagram even though I tried two subprgram put it together and it will work what it suppose to do. I am not very sure if ni scope EX Multi Record.vi prgram mixed with other prgrams with event struturem, what will happen? Will it be the same like two subprgram put it together? Could you please tell me exactly what if I put niScope EX multi record.vi with event structure including another program, what will happen? I would like to understand.

    Hi Nyborn,
The changes of the graph color are controlled by the Waveform Graph property node on your block diagram. In the niScope EX Multi Record.vi  example the Plot.Fill/PtColor value of the waveform graph property node is connected to a random generating number which changes the color on every execution. If you want to assign just one color, remove the random number vi and just wire a acii constant for the color you'd like. You can find listing of all acii color codes here.
    I hope this helps.

    Natasa

  • Call two programs from one program.

    HI all,
I have two BDC interface in seperate programs.
I want to call that two programs from one program based on a condition.
    Is there any way.
I tried with call transaction 'SE38'.
set parameter ID but it is taking buffered value.
    Thanks,
    sri

use submit program to call other program.
    SUBMIT prog|(field) [AND RETURN] [options].
also if you want BDC prog, then probably you can call the BDC recording using PERFORM bdc_prog (in program name).
    PERFORM (<fsubr>)[IN PROGRAM (<fprog>)][USING   ... <pi>... ]
                                           [CHANGING... <pi>... ]
                                           [IF FOUND].

  • (X-Fi Xtremegamer) Recording two streams of audio simultaneously via "What U Hear"

    Hello everybody.
I'm running Windows 7 32bit and have downloaded and installed drivers from creative download page.
Also performed an update. Integrated sound card (realtek high def) is disabled from BIOS. So my system
    detects only X-Fi Xtremegamer.
I want to be able to record music in background and voice/guitar (input from FlexiJack) together.
Currently I have set "Audio Creation Mode" for my sound card and have chosen FlexiJack input to be a microphone.
So the problem is, when I set "What U hear" in windows recording devices as the default recording device, in idea it must record everything together. Audio being played in background and my voice over it from microphone alltogether.
The problem is, once I set "What you hear" as the default recording device, my microphone immediately goes into "currently unavailable" state. If I put mic back as defaul rec dev, it becomes active again. This is very very frustrating.
I know people here are pros who may have very sophisticated setups with all that MIDI controllers, routing etc. And you may tell me "So whats the problem, just set the music play on one channel of Audition for example and record your voice with mic as default recording device on the other one".
Yes it is a valid notice, but there are situations when I really need to record both, background music/sounds along with microphone input sound simultaneously. A good example is online karaoke site(s) who need both sound streams to be recorded simultaneously and in realtime.
Could anybody, please, give me an advise how to correct this problem? I don't want to throw away such a nice piece of hardware just because of this problem

Oh, boy... You have my sympathy with the 'What-U-Hear' thing...recording two audio streams at once (mic etc)...
I just upgraded my home studio system to a Win7 computer...I use SONAR to do my digital/MIDI work...
On my old WinXP machine (a Pentium 4 with 4 gig RAM), I had the luxury of actually being ABLE to record in 'What-U-Hear' mode...
I figured I needed a new soundcard with my new Win7...so I went out and bought the well-recommended M-Audio Audiophile 192 PCI card...
Big mistake...I CAN'T record ANY 'What-U-Hear' streams at all!!...I wanted to tear out the new M-Audio card and plunk my trusty old Audigy 2 back in...but, the problem is not that Creative doesn't have Win7 drivers...it's that the SOFTWARE that came with it is largely useless according to the Creative site.
Funny, I transferred all my files from the old computer (including all the Creative apps) to the new Win7 computer, and guess what? Good old 'WAVE STUDIO' from 2001 - version 4:12:07 - works just fine (WITH the ****ed M-Audio card, too!)...
    However, I STILL can't get the M-Audio 192 to do 'What-U-Hear' recording...!!
I wonder if I DID put the old Audigy in my new Win7 computer...would that most important bit of Creative software that I use all the time (Wave Studio)...work?
    What a minefield!
But about your particular problem...I think it is something to do with memory addressing, that the mic won't work with other audio streams...
There is a program called 'DIGITAL CABLES' available on ZDNET for free download (costs $30 in full version) that is SUPPOSED to get around the 'What-U-Hear' problem...but, I'm afraid to screw everything up...since I use my system regularly to do work for my church choir...
    cheers...

  • Record to VCR while watching another channel

Will the STB output 2 channels simultaneously, so I can record a program on my old low-def VCR while watching another channel?

None of the Verzion boxes can output more than what is being viewed.  Even the DVR which has 2 tuners is incapable of outputing 2 different channels / programs.
    Does that make it clear?

  • How to let two programs access the same BDB data

I want to use two programs to access data in one BDB database, but get this error
multiple databases specified but not supported by file
    db open failed:Invalid argument
I do not know how to deal with it.....
    anyone can help?
    thank you first

    Hello,
Can you clarify a bit more as to what you are doing?
    A message like:
multiple databases specified but not supported by file
    open: Invalid argument
is expected when you are incorrectly creating multiple databases
    within a single physical file.
    The details are at:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/am/opensub.html
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/api_c/db_open.html
It is possible to contain multiple databases in a single physical file
but the application has to follow some steps in order to do that.
For example you can not attempt to open a second database in a file that
was not initially created using a database name. Doing will generate
    the error you posted.
    Thanks,
    Sandra

I am trying to install an update of Microsoft office and I get a message that says.  This application must be closed ETC.....   I am running Parralell and I think it is there.  The two programs are "Microsoft Database Daemon" "SyncServicesAgent".  How do I close these programs?

If the Office updates have to be run through Win in Parallels, there's not really a section here that covers that , because Neither Office or Parallels are Apple products. There is only a small chance that you'll find someone with BOTH your conditions who just happend to look into a forum on older iMacs.
    Parallels has a forum here:
    http://forum.parallels.com/forum.php
I think you'll get a faster response there.

  • Mapping with Scd operator set to type 2 reading source records two times

Mapping with Scd operator set to type 2 reading source records two times.Records selected count being displayed at the end of execution is double the source record count. This possibly is affecting the performance of the mapping.
Is this a bug in scd type 2 operagtor in OWB 11gR2.How to rectify this umwamted double loop through the source data selectiom?

    Hi Roelant,
I think it is important to be aware that although Paris - 10gR2 - is not actually buggy (in this respect!), it is really quite idiosyncratic in exactly how it processes SCDs.
I followed up on your and Mark's comments, and did an in depth analysis of this topic. It is at http://www.donnapkelly.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/documents/OWB_10gR2_SCD.pdf
My conclusions are perhaps of interest to anyone considering doing SCD processing with Paris.
I'll be doing a follow-up this weekend, and publishing a sort of 'how-to-do-it' guide.
    Cheers,
    Donna

  • Uninstalled QucikTime, I have these two programs, apple support update, and

I used QuickTime player on my windows 7 64 bit PC , didn't like it, removed it using add/remove program. Now I have these two: Apple Application Support Version 1.3.1 and is 42.8 MB and Apple Software update 2.1.1.116, 2.15 MB. They are from Apple, Inc. They are listed on my ad /remove program. My question:Since I have Uninstalled Quick time player, do i need to remove these two files? Are they related to any other important software like (e.g adobe)?
I have apple support update, which has , as I understand,an update , but I no longer have a Quick Time program. Do I need to get rid of these two programs, and how to do it safely?
    Thanks

They're not doing anything now, so you can remove them. Uninstall them from the Add/Remove Programs, just as you did with QuickTime.
    Regards.

  • How to send computer screen to sleep whilst watching Apple TV via airplay using Yosemite?

Does anybody know how to send computer screen to sleep whilst watching Apple TV via airplay using Yosemite? I've tried the hot key Shift + Control + Eject, but that sends the TV's screen as well as my iMac's screen to sleep at the same time. I don't want the 2 screens playing at the same time - I would like to send the computer's screen to sleep whilst the Apple TV continue's to play/mirror. Hoping someone knows how to do this?

Thanks Vazandrew for your detailed explanation. I think you've answered my question in that what I'm wanting to do is not possible because it is mirroring in its entirety, unless it is being done via iTunes.
I live in hope that Apple (can in-time) organise the same screen sleep capability that operates via iTunes for people wanting to stream regular online TV via iMac!
I would like to mark my question as answered by you, but had already checked the helpful star before going to mark the answered check mark. Didn't realise you could only mark one or the other…with no editing function.
Your explanation as to what is going on with the mirroring was much appreciated, as I couldn't figure out why the short cut keys worked sometimes (via iTunes) and not others (via regular streamed online TV).

  • Combining these two programs...

I have two programs i want to combine into one. I have a solar system view which shows the solar system as a whole and i also have another program where you can individually view the planets by clicking on a button to load them. What i want to be able to do is in the solar system model (which shows the whole solar system) i can click on a planet and bring up the planetary view that i have. So i have two things i need to do:
    i) A mouse event to allow the user to click on a planet in full solar system view and load the 3D representation of that planet
ii) A way to seperate my planet identifiying program so that each planet has its own code so that they can be clicked on individually
    Lets start with number 1:

where would i put a mouse event that allows the user to click on a planet in full solar system view and load the 3D representation of that planet?
Thanks for any and all help!

Your solar system code is all AS2 code, not AS3, so if your planet code is AS3 then you will probably need to rethink this--you cannot mix the two languages in one file.  If your planet code is AS2, then you should post in the AS2 forum.
