Recruitment - vacancy

Hi experts,
I'm new with Recruitment. Can you tell me about the vacancy in Recruitment. Is it the same with vacant position in OM. Why I have many vacant positions in OM but in RC I cannot see them.

A vacancy is a position that must be staffed, either completely or partially. Vacancies are maintained by a line manager or personnel officer.The personnel officer responsible manages data for the vacancy according to the authorization assigned to him by the personnel department. The line manager is responsible for deciding on the applicant's suitability for the vacancy.
The procedure used depends on whether Recruitment is being used as a stand-alone system or in conjunction with Organizational Management.
If you are using Recruitment as a stand-alone system (without Organizational Management), you must manually enter all data on a vacancy.If you are using Recruitment in conjunction with Organizational Management, the latter component contains a list of all the positions in a company. In this case, all you have to do is set a vacant flag in Organizational Management for any positions that need to be filled. All positions marked vacant in Organizational Management are then available in the Recruitment system for further processing and evaluation. Probably this is the reason why you can not see all your OM positions in recruitment.
Any vacancies that you created in Organizational Management are marked with a P in the Maintained in OM field of the Vacancy view (V_T750X). You can edit these vacancies in Recruitment.
Vacancy (Infotype 1007)
You only create a Vacancy infotype for positions. You might create a vacancy record for an occupied position if, for example, you know an employee is taking maternity leave.
You can create a Vacancy infotype record for a position that is occupied or unoccupied. If your company does not distinguish between occupied and unoccupied positions - that is, you consider all unoccupied positions to be vacant - you can set an indicator rather than maintain the Vacancy infotype.

    Hello all,
    I am trying to figure out if the OM infotype 1007 (vacancy) can be used in E-Recruiting. We have a split instance model that will be interfaced either through PI or ALE.
    We would want to restrict managers to only be able to recruit for positions marked as Vacant in their org structure.
    Just to clarify, I am not an e-recruiting expert. I work on the HCM side and I am trying to understand how we could control vacancies.
    In passing, I took a look at a config note in E-recruiting Technical Settings: OM integration, the Export Class for infotype 1007 empty in the standard system. I don't know if this will be relevant during realization.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    My real concern is the fact that there doesn't seem to be any way to control vacancies.
    This would mean that a manager could recruit for ANY position in his Org. Unit.
    Would there be a way to limit managers to only be able to create Requisitions for positions that are marked as vacant?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to freeze all the Vacancy Requisitions raised in E-Recruitment with no activity, status to be that nothing should be done for the vacancy requisitions for certain period, later to release to do the activities

    What you just said is true.
    Even if you hold the requisition the job posting and the publication are still released.
    You can also change teh status of the job posting to onhold and withdraw the publications also.
    When you want it to be released again then you can simply change the status of the requisition of job posting and requisition back to released but the publication will have to be created again as a withdrawn publication cannot be released again.
    For the specific requirement you are mentioning I dont see any other clear cut solution or option in standard E-rec.

    You will need to load the data into IT1007 and ensure that Intergration for vacancies is activated.
    PPVAC PPVAC should be set to 1. in table T77S0

  • Irecruitment Dashboard and summary report

    In irecruitment how the "Recruitment Success percentage" are calculated for report
    HRI Recruitment Success (Starts) Status KPI.
    For a vacancy if I attach recruitment team, how each recruiter vacancy fill percentage are calculated

    If i Have vacancy IRCXXX with 10 openings, and assign 5 recruitment team members. How do i track how many openings are closed by each recruiter. Is there any report to find this are how can we track this ??

    Is it possible to display only vacancies on Requisition?  A drilldown option is available on the Requisition to assign a Position to the Requisition. Is it possible to display only Vacant Positions when you search through this option?

    Hi Robin,
    the managers request the requisition via a HCMPF scenario so there are different options as the form can be replace by any customer development. So you could either replace the search help in your form by a customer one or change the standard search help's behaviour.
    The example form uses a search help based on the web dynpro component HRRCF_C_POSITION which is again based on OADP (object and data provider). There is a BAdI HRWPC_EXCL_MANAGERS which allows the restriction of the object selection or you can have an object selection based on a class implementation instead of the the rules.
    Both options could be used to exclude non vacant positions from the object selection.
    (You find the relevant IMG nodes with their documentation in IMG under Integration with Other mySAP.com Components -> Business Packages / Functional Packages -> Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP) -> Object and Data Provider -> Object Provider)

  • Vacancy 1007  in e-Recruiting 3.0

    We are running stand alone eRec 3.0 and org data will be brought in from our HCM system through ALE.  I can not figure out if vacancy can be brought in, because hrp1007 is not active in our eRec system.  Please help.

    You neednot worry about it.
    Bcos, it is provided in standard by SAP.
    Basically there are 2 scenarios- one standalone E-rec. system, other one in connection to HCM system.
    So in case of standalone system , we need to do the transfer of data via ALE and that is what you have seem to be done with!
    I dont really see if you have HRP1007 active in E-rec. system. Bcos i remember that HRP1000, HRP1001 will be there.
    Please do some test cases for confirmation.

    My organisation is currently using SAP E-Recruitment for internal candidates, with a plan to roll-out the system for external recruitment. With no option to record cost information relating to interviews, candidate travel and accommodation, agancy fees in E-Recruitment release 6.0, does anyone know if Enhancement Package 4 has Enterprise Business Functions for E-Recruitment where perhaps options to record recruitment costs are provided?

    there is so far no function for cost tracking in any e-recruiting release, this includes EhP4. Furthermore I have not heared anything about plans to add this within EhP5 or 6.
    The only possibility would be using e-recruiting to track all actions done for hiring and report them as basis. Then add the costs independent from e-recruiting in a customer "development". Of course the effort will depend much on how exact you want to be. Will you assign fixed internal costs for an interview or it is depending on thé numer of recruiters / managers attending or is every attendee calculated with its own costs (a teamlead will have a much lower cost per hour than a VP).

  • Error while updating the Vacancy in irecruitment Module

    When updating the existing vacancy in the irecruitment module, we are getting the following error.
    Error: The HR Object is invalid Cause: The HR Object which is attempted to be locked is inconsistent with the corresponding object in the HR Shema. Action: Retry the action.
    Kindly let me know the solution if any one come accross this kind of error message.

    This problem typically occurs when someone else has updated the same record in between the first person requesting it and it being approved. For example, the following scenario would cause this problem:
    1) Vacancy IRC12345 is at version 2.
    2) User A requests an update to this vacancy through iRecruitment, which is sent for approval.
    3) Meanwhile, while User A's update is pending, User B goes into PUI and updates the same vacancy and saves. The version for IRC12345 goes to version 3.
    4) User A's request is then approved. However, when it tries to save the changes it fails with this error because it thinks it's at version 2 when it's actually at version 3. The reason for the error is to preserve data integrity and prevent users overriding each other's changes.
    The 'version' referred to here is actually the object_version_number column on the per_all_vacancies table. In practice, updating a vacancy is more complicated than this because it actually updates multiple tables (requisition, vacancy, recruitment activity, etc). So the error may not necessarily refer to the per_all_vacancies table itself but rather any of the tables updated during iRecruitment vacancy update.
    Could it be possible that a professional user updated the vacancy (or any part of it) through the forms-based interface? What were the changes that were being made? Had applicants already applied for this vacancy, ie, would the vacancy update also have triggered an update to all applicant assignments? If so, perhaps it was one of the applicant's that was updated in PUI.
    Hopefully that gives you some pointers.

  • E Recruiting- Ex employees into Talent pool

    We want to access left employees in the e Recruiting Talent group. We are following two server architecture. Meaning we are a standalone system for e Rec and using ALE to pull the data of employees data (internal candidates) into e Rec.
    Is it possible to assign the left employees into alumni? Is it a standard ALE or it is a development?

    Since the employee leaves the company in one country, the candidate belonging to this old personnel number becomes an external candidate. This is important for employees, that are leaving the company
    completely, so that their open applications can still be processed and that they can be found in the talent pool in case an appropriate vacancy comes up for them.
    So if you distribute your employee using ALE, the employee is only set to inactive if he leaves the company in HR and the flag "inactive" is set in table HRP5102 in E-recruiting then the old personnel number becomes an external candidate.

    Hi Experts,
    We're currently in the initial phase of implementing e-Recruiting 6.0 (Integrated scenario) at a telecom client on a global scale. Following is the doubt:
    Can we do away with exposing the client's e-Recruiting system to the external world/internet. Client has decided not to expose the e-Rec. system to the external world/internet. Question is so how will the external candidates search, register & apply for the jobs? A workaround is to have the external candidates' data which is currently being captured on their existing career site (non-SAP legacy) & pull the data to e-Recruiting. On this, I'm not sure how will the mapping be achieved.
    Is this scenario possible through some std. functionality (we're not using PI/XI). If this solution is a Z solution, what are the efforts required for custom development? How will we intergrate SAP KRPO for storing the documents & TREX indexing etc.

    Hope you are doing good.
    Some pointers to exposing your PA-ER System to external candidates, This is standard security process.
    Concept of DMZone:
    External candidates: to register and search for vacancies available in the company, the web applications residing on the E-Recruitment system (ECC System) should be made available via internet.
    Additional security to the Intranet ERP system: ERP system has to be separated from the external users using reverse proxy server configured in the DMZone (neutral zone in between Intranet and External network, which is protected by firewall) of the company, So , externally would not have direct access to the E-Recruitment system.
    Exposing the IP address of E-Recruitment system: we expose the IP address of reverse proxy server for public access. Then the reverse proxy server would be configured in such a way that all the requests for E-Recruitment applications would come to the standard HTTP port XX of the reverse proxy server and the reverse proxy would take care of forwarding the requests and (transparently) sending them back as if it was the content server itself.
    ISA Server 200X: the reverse proxy server has many additional features and, most of the customers prefer to implement their reverse proxy scenarios on ISA Server series.

  • E Recruitment : Requisition - Position Validity issue

    Hi All,
    In Requisition creation, I am trying to assign a Position ID in Org Structure assignment Tab.
    When I search for position ID here, in the result of search list it also shows the positions whose status is NOT "vacancy open" as on today.
    If the position's status was "Vacancy Open" in the past, but not valid as on today's date, still that position shows in the search list. Which ideally it should not.
    Any clue will be appreciated.

    Hello Tejas,
    it is standard behaviour of sap e-recruiting to allow the assignment any position, a vacancy is not required.
    When searching for positions there should be a checkbox to search for vacant positions only. This should reduce your result list.
