  • How can I reduce the bit rate of songs in my Music Library to enable me to

At the moment i can only fit about 1300 songs on my iphone and also have used up half the space on my 120gb Classic with 7000 songs which is a lot less than what i was told would fit on. so............
How can I reduce the bit rate of songs in my Music Library to enable me to fit more songs onto my iPhone or iPod Classic.. and what is the minimum rate that i should stick to in order to retain good sound quality.

    For existing tracks, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
For CDs you import in the future, change the Import settings in the iTunes -> General preferences.
As to what will be a good bit rate, that's going to be up to you and what quality you find acceptable, but many people find that 128 kbps AAC is the optimum balance between small file size and quality.

  • Loan transaction - straight line or reducing balance method

    Hi all,
i have a question here.  It is regarding interest rate instrument product in SAP-TRM.
For interest rate instrument/ loan product can we set whether the interest can be charged either on straight line method or reducing balance method?
Your soonest feedback is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Both are supported. For straight line method you can choose the Interest Form - Amount and for Reducing balance method choose - Fix or Variable Rate option in interest structure.

i think another mistake is availble.as your expalnation
multilev.method : S1(Which is i configured above under multilevel method)
    Class : Decling -balanced depreciation
Change method : No automatc changeover
*Multiple shift : increase in depreciation,no increase in exp.useful life
(it is wrong i think, take this one  increase in depreciation, increase in exp.useful life)*

  • Declining balance depreciation posting

    Hi,
Has anyone setup the system to allow declining balance posting changes from month to month?
I know that SAP standard doesn't have this functionality. I can only get constant amount over allmonths in the same year, then a change every year of depreciation amount.
Has anyone tries to set it up using note 1131960?
    Thanks in advance!.

    Hi SR,
In your settings in ZCD, 2 represents multiplication factor, which will be multiplied with dep % calculated from total useful life.
30 represents max depreciation % for a year and 1 represents minimum depreciation %.
In your example it seems useful life is 4. So dep % is 25%, it will be multiplied with the factor 2 so it comes around 50%.
Since you restrict max dep as 30%, the dep rate will be 30% for each year.
You must have changed the ord dep start date from the first period to fifth period thats why initially it planned for 30% and once you change ord dep start date it plan for 1000*30%/12*8=200.
In year 2 & 3 depreciation is planned for 300 each.
In year 4 the balance depreciation of 200 is planned.
    Hope it is clear.

  • Different depreciation rates in different years

    Hi ,
I have come across a situation in which client wants that different depreciation rates should be charged in different years.
    For example 10% in 1st year, 7.5 % in 2nd year, 6 % in 3rd year, 4.5% in 4 years and so on .
Asset life should be assumed to be 10 years .
How can we map this in SAP.Please provide detail explanation.
    Regards
    Nike

    Dear,
    Nike Sam.
I supposed your issue seems relating to MACRS depreciation I think. If so then you have to use the multi level method in depreciation key.
Please note the your case is like MACRS depreciation so according to me you will get standard depreciation key for MACRS is
M200 & M150. However you can study them & configure as suits to your needs.
Perfom this on test client first. If you have any doubts feel free to share. You are welcome.

  • Changes in depreciation rate

    dear all,
once the depreciation rate is changed & we need to execute the depreciation run & also TC-AFAR to recalculate the depreciation..correct me if i am wrong. After this changes in the dep. amount we need to report in our financial statement also.
Now how to know the  effect of changes made during this year. What i mean to say is is there any report or transaction code available which can give the details of changes made to assets with dep rate change.i.e writting up & writting down

  • Depreciation rate change from a particular date

    Dear Guru's
Can any body help me,  In my plant machinaries working 2 shifts now it is working only 1 ****.
my client is asking can we change the depriciation rate from a particular date onwards.  If we change the depriciation from a particular date what impact will be there,  is it will effect old values ?
    please suggest me.
    Regards
    Chandu

    Hi
Yes, we can change depreciation rate from a particular period/ year onwards.
For that you have to do configuration in Multilevel method ( T. Code AFAMS ). But you can not keep rate as per date. Suppose, for 2008, you want to maintain rate 210 upto 10 % and from 7th period, rate will be 20%, then
AcqYear     Year         Period      Base Value     Rate        Reduct
    2008            1               6                1               10                 -
    9999           999            0                  1                20              -

  • BCS - Re-translation of the balance sheet rates

    Hello colleagues,
I have a question regarding the transalation of balance sheet rates in a BCS system.
Concerning foreign currency translation in SAP BCS system:
The current plan for SAP go live is to translate items in the income statement at the daily transaction rate in SAP and then re-translate the balance sheet only at the month end closing rate in BCS for Group reporting purposes in EUPO.
There is some disagreement on this approach - one opinion is that we should use BCS to re-translate our income statement at the monthly average FX rate and the balance sheet at the closing rate.
Would it be possible to advise on the best approach?
    Kind regards,
    David

This is a choice for the group accountants / users, not the implementaiton team.
You can tell them that either is possible in BCS, which one do they want?
As Dan says USGAAP has a specific requirement, do they report in USGAAP or IFRS (or something else)?
    I have seen both solutions.

  • Glm reduced SCSI transfer rate....  how to recover?

    Hi,
One of my disks gone bad, and glm driver has reduced the transfer rate to that bad disk,
and (for some unknown reasons) reduced the transfer rate to other good disks, from
40MB/s (FAST-20, wide) to 5MB/s. The SCSI box is an UltraSCSI version of MultiPack.
Now I have replaced the bad disk to a new one. However, the transfer rate is still 5MB/s.
Does anyone know how can I make them operate at full speed again?
The OS is Solaris 10 11/06. I have tried followings, but none worked.
(c2t9d0 is the attachment point to the bad disk. it now has the replaced disk.)
    cfgadm -x reset_device c2::dsk/c2t9d0
    cfgadm -c unconfigure c2::dsk/c2t9d0
    cfgadm -c configure c2::dsk/c2t9d0
cfgadm -x reset_all c2Thanks very much in advance!

Anybody knows if the source code of scadm tool is available somewhere ? (opensolaris etc. ?)
I don't have any additional advice to offer other than asking that you to try the flash-update all over again,
one more time, as if it were the beginning again.Yes but how because the SC is not discovered anymore by Solaris :
    "rmclomv: WARNING: DP_GET_SDP_VERSION failed, ret=4"
"The SC hardware could not be initialized."
Can you try to flash the mainalomfw ? Your log contained only the flash of the alombootfw !
    /usr/platform/`uname -i`/sbin/scadm download alommainfw
I guess jumper JP2 allows to recover from a failed flash by selecting the un-touched half the PROM.It does not work as the SC is not responding anymore to Solaris
Sun Microsystems Inc. SunOS 5.10 Generic January 2005
    v210:~#
    v210:~# cd /usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/images
    v210:/usr/platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-V210/lib/images# /usr/platform/`uname -i`/sbin/scadm download alommainfw
scadm: The SC hardware could not be initialized.
    v210:/usr/platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-V210/lib/images#
ERROR: ERROR: Unable to open the SC device.
    It's a pitty that obtaining OBP/ALOM updates requires a service contract. I got a V210 recently.
Unfortunately both OBP and ALOM are the intial release 4.8.2 / 1.0.I agree but it's probably also because you need support in case it fails ;-)
    Thanks for your answers!

  • Change depreciation rate

    Hi Eveybody
i want to change depreciation rate.. what is the procedure to change the same...
    thanx in advance
    sanju

    Hi Sanjay
Change of depreciation rate can be in the depreciation key.
This change modifies the settings in the key and affects the particular asset and also assets whereever the key is being used.
So check the impact of changing the key and the rate within.
If assets are already impacted then check reverse using AB08, go to dep key , change the % .
But you might have issues with prior year assets. It is possible that you cannot post because of closed periods.
In any case, check the impact, assets affected, period and FY affected and test

    Hi Asset Master's
As per the leagal requirement client wants to change the depreciation rate from a particular date 13% to 20%. Is it possible? then how to change the depreciation. If we assign new key or change % in old key, system is calculating depreciation right from the begining (Previous values also re-calculating the system). Please suggest me what is the possible solution and scenarios that we have to follow.

  • Different Depreciation Rate for Different Period

    Hi Sapgurus,
We have legal requirement which is as follows :
    1) Asset purchase 11/02/2011 for Rs. 10000/= and it can depreciated at fixed Rate on Straight Line Method till it reaches its net book value 30 % (3000)
    For Eg.
Purchase on 11/02/2011 for Rs. 10000/=
It should depreciated fixed Rate @ 5% so 500/= per year and it should depreciated upt o 70 % of total value
    so 7000/500 = 14 Years.
    So Net Book Value = 10000 (Minus) 7000 : 3000/=
    2) As soon as it reaches Net Book Value of Rs. 3000/= it will be depreciated at another rate.
    For Eg.
In 15th year it reaches Net Book Value 3000, now from that period onwards it will be depreciated at 7% Written Down Value not 5% Straight line Method.
Also what about any old asset which is procured in previous years ?
    Awaiting for feedback
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
for this cases we use the following changeover method in the depreciation key:
7     Changeover when net book value percent less or same as x%
