REference Capacity

Hello Gurus,
Could you please tell me the difference between reference capacity and pooled capacity.
I read help.sap.com but couldnt really find the difference.
Please reply fast.
regards
Sunny

Dear,
Pooled capacity is nothing but an available capacity that can be used by several work centers
Reference capacity as templet to craete the capacity tap in work center.
Please refer my reply from this thread it will work for you also,

  • How to find Capacity changes ( Who did)

    Hi Gurus,
here is my question.....We have reference capacity scenarios...i.e when ever we create a work center ,in the capacity view we refer a reference capacity..so only changes can be done at reference capacity level...recently someone accidentally changed a week as non working week by going into  "intervals and shifts" tab (Putting value 0 in Workday column)......but who did it i could not find ...it is not recoreded anywhere......i have tried with KAPA ,KAZY  and  CR10 as well but without success...could anybody plz tell where can i find this information as to find who did this?.....Any help is highly appreciated...

  • Setting needed for Capacity Planning.

    Hi PP Gurus,
I want to know what setting we have to do for capacity planning.
    what I know is:
    1. W/C should be set for finite scheduling.
    2. In scheduling parameters for process order tick "Generate capacity Requirement".
This both setting are made in my scenario, but it is'nt loading the work center fot that week.
    Any other setting nedded?
    Thanks, in advance.

    Dear ,
You need to have following set up at basic level frist before you perfomr the capacity requirement planning  :
1.In OPKP-Define Production Scheduling parameter -Availability check -Confirm Capacity and also Finite Scheduling chekc box ticked .
2.In OPU3/OPU5-Define Scheduling Parametesr -you should mark the following
1.Automatic Scheduling check box should be marked
2.Scheduling Log check box should be marked -generate in case there is a scheduling error due to capacity over load .
3.Scedulinga and Generate Capcity should be ticked .
3.In OPJK Imaintain check capacity with SAPSFCG013 overall profile and set indicator -1 -Release Order -by user decision if capacity is insufficient
4.Work Center - Define the capcity planner group, activate checkbox Relevant for Finite sceduling,on the capacity header define the shift timings, break timings and unit of measure,no of individual capaity, enter formula for scheduling in capacity view.
5.Routing - enter the values for the standard values. Use control key with scheduling and CRP activated .
    6. OPD0 and have the following set up  : Overall profile : SFAPSFC015 --Inside the over all profile I have the following set up
1.Selection Profile -SAPSFCS013 SFC: Order view, standard overview
    2.Control Profile : SAP___C004 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    3.Time Profile : SAP___Z006 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    4.Evalution Profile : SAPSFCA013 : Gen Capacity Availability Chek =3.0D
    5.Strategy Profile : SAPSFCVER1-Gen Capacity availability Check
    6.Period Profile : SAP___P001 -Weekly period
    7.List Profile : SAPSFCI001-Production Planing
Check all of them in place .Then you can go ahead with Capacity Req.Planning -Evalution and Leveling -CM21/CM22/CM05/CM07  etc.

  • Battery Calibration and Charge Capacity?

I am currently using a PB G4 15" (high res DL SD) and I've had it for about a month. I just read about calibrating the battery and went ahead and did it. Have I done any damage to the battery or shortened it's effectiveness by waiting a month to calibrate rather than when it was first out of the box?
Also, i also just read about checking the battery charge capacity using the system profiler. My charge capacity prior to calibration was 2731 and after calibration it's 2930. However, it sounds like it should be in the 4400's based on the posts I've read. What do these numbers mean and do I have a faulty battery since it's so low?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Kevin --
Yeah, I'm not loving those numbers you posted either. I'd try performing the calibration procedure once or twice more to make sure that that battery capacity number doesn't change.
The other thing I would do if I were you is download Coconutbattery: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27425
It's a free app available at versiontracker and it will tell you your battery's original capacity as well as it's current capacity.
I agree with you that a capacity of 2930 mAh after only a month of use and 16 cycles suggests that your battery is defective and should be replaced at no cost to you under the terms of the warranty.
For a frame of reference, after 10 months of use and 166 load cycles, my battery's original capacity of 4400 mAh is now 4228 mAh. No way yours should be in the 2930 mAh range.
When you call AppleCare to arrange for a replacement, if in fact that's what you end up needing to do, the agent you speak with, in addition to making sure that you've properly calibrated your battery a few times (as mentioned earlier) may also ask that you reset your PB's Power Management Unit (PMU). While I'm skeptical that a PMU reset will alter the outcome, you can find instructions on how to reset the PMU here (just in case you need to): http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449
Good luck and please post back how everything turns out.
    -- JDee
PS. You probably know this, but the calibration procedure has been changed slightly for your DL hi-res version of the PB. Here it is below, just to make sure:
    PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD)
The battery calibration for the PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD) has been updated because of a new battery released with this computer. With these computers, follow these steps to calibrate your battery:
Plug in the power adapter and fully charge your PowerBook's battery until the light ring on the power adapter plug changes to green and the onscreen meter in the menu bar indicates that the battery is fully charged.
Allow the battery to rest in the fully charged state for at least two hours. You may use your computer during this time as long as the adapter is plugged in.
Disconnect the power adapter with the computer still on and start running the computer off battery power. You may use your computer during this time. When your battery gets low, you will see the low battery warning dialog on the screen.
Continue to keep your computer on until it goes to sleep. Save all your work and close all applications when the battery gets very low, before the computer goes to sleep.
Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more.
Connect the power adapter and leave it connected until the battery is fully charged again.
Tip: When the battery reaches "empty", the computer is forced into sleep mode. The battery actually keeps back a reserve beyond "empty", to maintain the computer in sleep for a period of time. Once the battery is truly exhausted, the computer is forced to shut down. At this point, with the safe sleep function introduced in the PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD) computers, the computer's memory contents have been saved to the hard drive. When power is restored, the computer returns itself to its pre-sleep state using the safe sleep image on the hard drive.

  • On iPad 2 can files be compressed on HD to increase storage capacity?

I bought my daughter an iPad 2 3rd generation.  I know the HD capacity is 16 Gb and iOS 7.01 takes up about
1 Gb of het capacity, giving her about 15 Gb to use for apps and data storage. I have three questions about that.
Q1.  Can She use a flash drive to download apps and files to the flash drive, then access the flash drive as an
external data storage to view/listen to photos, video and music and; most important; can she download apps
and run them from the drive on the system itself if she does so?
Q2.  Can she compress the files on the HD to increase the storage capacity of the HD, and still have the ability
run the downloaded apps, view videos, etc.  Can she still access the compressed files, if she can do so?
Q3.  iPad 2 has no paper guide or owner's manual, but. Apple has an ipad Guide (140pp) that can be down-
loaded and viewed. Can she download iPad User/Owners "Guide for iPad Using OS 7.01 ondto her iPad and
put an icon for it on her iPad desktop for easy reference?
    Thank you for your help.

Q1. There are compatible flashdrives tha allwo you to do this through their own Apps such as the Sandisk Wireless Flash Drive among others.   http://www.sandisk.com/products/wireless/flash-drive/  It cannot eb done with regular flash drives though.
Q2.  No. No compression is available on the iPad.
Q3. She can bookmark the iPad's manual website and place an icon on the home screen for the url, or download the Book version to iBooks for free.
Just tap on Arrow coming out of a box icionin Safari, and then tap on Place on Home Screen.

  • Sales order with reference to PO(STO)

    Dear All
i have a requirement where production order is booked against sales order, after production order is completed then only i able to do delivery and PGI(allesble to order scenerio). While doing STO sales order has to be created with refernce to PO otherwise i acnnot create delivery and PGI,stock wont get confirmed against purchase order. Please suggest how to create sales order with reference to PO(STO)
    all answers are rewarded
    Regards

    Hi,
If a sales order is created in SAP R/3, a check is run in SAP APO
to see if the required stock is available or if a production order
already exists to cover the requirement. If not, a planned order is
created in SAP APO to cover the requirement, and the confirmation
date is the next date on which a block has free capacity to
produce the relevant product. Scheduling takes place at the end
of the block, that is to say, at the latest time. Accordingly, a
planned order can be moved to a later date within the block
without affecting the confirmed delivery date..
In ur requirement you have to create a STO based on P.O.
Open the link for configuration of STO.
    help.sap.com/bestpractices/BBLibrary/Documentation/J53_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_ZH.doc ,
Create a Sale Order and the delivery date is confirmed based on the Production Order
Using STO post stock to the required storage location and u can proceed with normal PGI and Billing.
REvert back if you have any clarification.

  • Can PQA use a single reference frame against a test video stream?

For R&D testing of video "set-top" devices I want to initiate some internal processing on our UUT, then using a PXI-1491 analyze the digital (HDMI) video output of the UUT for some large number of seconds (180 seconds or more for example).
The video that is being analyzed will have static image content. The amount of time I want to analyze the test stream after doing some stuff on the UUT is variable, but I always anticipate it being fairly long.
It currently appears that I have to have a reference stream that contains exactly the same number of frames as the test stream.
This makes the reference vbf files very large. My test requirements include a large number of resolutions that must be tested through the UUT. Having an extensive library of very large vbf files is logistically difficult, it would much easier to maintain such a library made up of single "golden" frame reference files instead.  Additionally, since my analyze time needs to be variable depending on test setup and UUT processing options, it would be better for me to have a single golden reference frame and validate alot of test frames against it.
Since the analyzed video will have static images, is it possible to run a test video stream against a single reference frame (reduced reference) instead of having a full reference stream frame by frame?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Doing exactly what you are asking is not within the design of PQA.  Of course, the best option that we would recommend when working with video test is a large capacity hard drive, probably in a RAID configuration for more space and better performance, and then just taking a golden reference with 10k frames, and doing what you originally suggested.
One method of achieving what you are looking for without using a large reference file is through offline processing.  This would allow you to acquire 10,000 consecutive frames, which I understand is one of your concerns, and then after the fact run them back through the analyzer.  You would still be performing a looping type of action in TestStand or LabVIEW.  The process would be:
    1) Acquire your source from your 1491 provider with no processors, and saving the media stream to disk.
    Loop:
    2) Load PQA with the disk buffer provider instead of the 1491, the disk buffer file will be the acquisition from above
    3) Point the start frame to your current location.
    4) Perform your processor with the results.
    5) Repeat and iterate to a new start frame location
This process is going to be much slower as you load and unload resources every time.  If you choose to go this way, a better implementation would be to maybe consider doing 100 frames at a time, or some number larger than 1, because the processing time of handling the extra frames is going to be less than loading/unloading PQA.
Your second option is going to require more work outside of PQA to implement custom functionality through a Custom User Processor.  Effectively this allows you to come up with a way to process incoming data in ways that you'd like.  To do this you will need:
    1) LabVIEW 2011 - Custom User Processors for PQA can only be developed in LabVIEW 2011.  If you are under a SSP agreement with NI and only have LabVIEW 2012 currently, you still have access to older versions.
    2) Vision Development Module - To perform your image processing
    3) An unencrypted video source - Due to limitations of HDCP we can not expose the raw video feed to user processors.
In this user processor you would:
    1) Load your static image/frame in directly, you wouldn't need to use the Media Ref input
    Loop
    2) Load the current frame from the incoming video array
    3) Perform your video measurement with the Vision function, likely PNSR or SSIM since these are currently the only 2 referenced measurements in PQA.

  • HR personnel availability as input to PM labor capacity planning

    Good Day SAP Gurus!
I am looking at using HR's personnel availability as input to PM capacity planning.
    I am planing to take this approach;
1.Reference HR in shift definition in IMG
2.Use the shift grouping in Work Ctr capacity header
3.Define Interval of Available Capacity using the shift defined
Appreciate your valuable inputs for the above steps to ensure it will work as well as the transactions/table to check personnel availability between HR and PM.
Also, I have read that I can use "Performing Work Center" in operations of capacity category "personnel" for the same purpose but I don't know how this works.
Anyone has better approach? Thanks a lot in advance!!

    Hi
    without knowing the answer:
i would first check the integration points of PErsonnel Time Management with other SAP Applications. As far as I remember is the "CATS" (Cross Application Time Services) function collecting data for cross company topics, like capacity leveling tasks.

  • Battery Capacity after 3 cycles

    Hi all,
I have a late 2013 rmbp. I've been reading up a lot on how to best treat the built in battery to maximize battery life. This laptop is only 1 week old and I've discharged once to about 40% and used the unit on batter a second time to about 50%. I'm now planning on using it on the power adapter mode when at my desk and using it on battery mode when going mobile. My question is though is that according to my coconut battery app, I'm already only at 97% max capacity! Is this normal? This battery has only been through 3 cycles of charging.
The max charge went from 6330mAh to 6153mAh in the 1 week I've owned this computer. Since I'm new to the macbook world, I was wondering if this is normal and was hoping someone could give me some insight to how fast the Max Charge capacity drops over time in relation to the Design Capacity. I'm still within my return period if I need to return this computer :/
For reference, my battery was manufactured 4/24/2014.
    many thanks!

    Read: https://www.apple.com/batteries/

It's best not to concern yourself with this degree of detail. Over a long period of time, its maximum charge capacity will decrease. Over a shorter period of time its maximum charge capacity may decrease or increase. One week and three charge cycles is not enough to draw any conclusions about anything. Typically, the maximum capacity percentage will settle to a value in the mid - 90s and will stay there for a long time.
Your MacBook Pro's battery is the product of decades of research and is going to last for years, perhaps for as long as you own your Mac, or want to own it before it eventually becomes functionally obsolete.
All batteries are wear items that will eventually need to be replaced. Budget 50¢ a week for battery depreciation and you will have more than enough saved to replace it when the time comes.
I'm now planning on using it on the power adapter mode when at my desk and using it on battery mode when going mobile.
That's a fine strategy. Follow Apple's usage recommendations, but don't obsess over such minutia. On the other hand if you are seeking to indulge your paranoia concerning over- or under- charging your Mac, the proper methods by which you must obsess about its incessant need for proper care and pampering, and to hear admonishments about the a parade of horribles that will result in your failure to acquiesce to superstition and myth, your needs will be met in by a number of charlatans in a variety of fonts and garish colors. You will believe them because they will validate what you have already decided to be true.

  • DMS STORAGE CAPACITY

    Hi Dms Guys
If i wnt to know DMS total  storage capacity how to find. If i wnt to find capacity document wise
If there is any solution let me know.
    Regards
    Meenakshi

    hi,
As such DMS storage capacity is not there... u have to define DMS storage capacity on content server with reference to document generation capacity. e.g we have to find out application wise document generation means for MS Word how much is legacy data.. how much is data generating over period of time... compression ratio and user to keep log space... likewise we have to find out for each application and then by adding all these we will get the required capacity of content server.. The folowing attachment will give you detail overview of capacity settings on content server..

  • Capacity planning for a 2 million hits / day site

    Hi,
I am doing a feasibility study for a 2 million hits per day
    e-commerce site.
We are looking at various vendors but would prefer an
    Oracle solution.
    One option I am looking
at is a three-tier server architecture with instances of
Oracle Application server running on one set
of machines and instances of Oracle 8/8i running on a second
    set of machines.
Macromedia generated HTML would be auto-translated to PL/SQL
cartridges to generate the relevant WRBXs.
Has anyone any experience of the performance issues /
robustness of this type of large-scale
    development.
In particular, I am looking for some hard numbers / capacity
    planning model on:
    Number of instances of Application Server;
Number / type of Application Server boxes - SpecInt / Flt and
    memory;
    Number of instances of RDBMS / parallel Oracle;
Number / type of RDBMS boxes - SpecInt / Flt and memory; and
    External communications bandwidth.
Any advice, personal anecdotes, recommended sites, or
    literature references much appreciated.

    Hi,
    1. Do cross forest authentication Go through Global Catalog?
Yes, cross-forest authentication relies on Global Catalogs of both forests.
    2.  Do Global catalogue cache ad object info if they are in different Forest. If not, how does the authentication request flow across the forest?
GC doesn’t cache information for objects from another forest. However, once a user has been authenticated and authorized, its service ticket remains (on the local machine) for a while before it logs off. The authentication request
is first received by the local DC, then GC, when GC couldn’t find a match in its own forest, it checks its database for trust information, if there is a name suffix matched, the authentication request is passed to the corresponding forest.
    3. Is this calculation still the same when considering cross forest trusts?
Yes, establishing forest trust doesn’t consume much more space, because GC doesn’t store information of another forest.
    4. Do we need to consider any other memory requirements in a cross forest trust environment?
Not really, as I mentioned above.
    More information for you:

  • Increasing row capacity of any excelcius component (Filter ,Combo Box)

    Hi
Even though I have increased the capacity of Dashboard rows capacity from 512 to 2000.
But my filter component or combo box component source data is mapped to more than 512 rows in the spreadsheet, while previewing it still shows data of 512 rows.
Is there any way to increase component capability?
I know the performance will be bad but still atleast it should capture the whole source data records and

    It could be two reasons
First Reason: it could be due to the limit of no of rows in excel .Please check the preferences option in Xcelsius . By default it will be set as 512 rows of data increase that to required rows.
Second Reason: if you are using live office in Xcelsius.By default it will fetch 512 rows of data.To increase limit we have to do some server side settings. Please refer to the following SAP Note which gives the solution to this problem.
      SAP Note:1307538
or go through the following steps:
These changes have to be made on the server side
    1.     Create a backup of dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar from serveru2019s InstallDrive:\program files\business objects\Tomcat\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\lib for future reference.
    2.     Copy dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar from serveru2019s InstallDrive:\program files\business objects\Tomcat\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\lib to your computer.
    3.     Rename the file just copied to dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar.zip (add.zip to end of filename)
    4.     Create folder in root of InstallDrive: named META-INF (case sensitive), in InstallDrive:\META-INF named BusinessObjects (case sensitive) and in InstallDrive:\META-INF\BusinessObjects named DSWS (case sensitive)
    5.     Using WinZip or WinRAR, unzip the file named liveoffice_config.properties from the dsws-liveoffice-ws.jar.zip file copied from the server. Place this file in InstallDrive:\META-INF\BusinessObjects\DSWS.
    6.     Edit the liveoffice_config.properties file and find the following section:
#max number of range rows and range columns to return
    maxRowCount=512
    maxColumnCount=512
    7.     Edit the maxRowCount entry to the value youu2019d like to use
    8.     Save the file as liveoffice_config.properties (same filename)
    9.     Using winRAR or WinZip add the new liveoffice_config.properties file back to dsws-liveoffice-ws.jar.zip, making sure to use the "use absolute path" option.
    10.     Stop Apache Tomcat service on BO server
    11.     Copy dsws-liveoffice-ws.jar.zip to serveru2019s InstallDrive:\program files\business objects\Tomcat\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\lib.
    12.     Rename dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar in serveru2019s InstallDrive:\program files\business objects\Tomcat\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\lib directory to dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar.old.
    13.     Rename dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar.zip in serveru2019s c:\program files\business objects\Tomcat\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\lib directory to dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar
    14.      Empty the Tomcat cache by deleting the content of the folder <<C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\work>>
    15.     Restart Apache Tomcat on server
This should increase the number of rows fetched by LiveOffice, however it may happen that changing the number of rows in the liveoffice_config.properties many times may result in liveoffice picking the data from the cache. Hence deleting the cache (C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\work) is necessary. Incase deleting the cache also doesn't work, we may have to redeploy the dswsbobje folder.
To redeploy, follow the steps given below:
    1.     Go to C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps and keep a backup of the dswsbobje folder.
    2.     Now delete this folder and restart Tomcat.
    3.     Restarting Tomcat will recreate the dswsbobje folder but will again default the number of rows fetched by LiveOffice to 512.
    4.     We will again have to follow the steps mentioned in the start to increase the number of rows from 512 to the desired value.
    5.     Restart Tomcat again for the changes to take place.
Note: Increasing the number to large values might cause inconsistency in the behavior or instability.

  • Is there a reference for my G4?

    Greetings.
I'm not technically inclined, so bear with me. I have a dual 450; I believe it's called a Sawtooth. I want to upgrade my 2 20 GB hard drives with greater capacity; however, I don't know what I can replace them with.
Is there a reference which will tell me the specifics of what I need to look for in purchasing a drive (or other add-ons)? I would imagine there are some drives which work and some which do not, and I don't know the determining characteristics, or the terminology.
    Thanks.

    Hi, Miguel!
Let's get you started, at least until Don gets back here.
If you have physically installed the card and the drive already, and your original drive remains installed, then to initialize the drive, launch Disk Utility from your Mac while normally booted to OS X (no need to boot from the install disk), highlight the drive on the left side of the window, and click on the Partition tab on the right side. From the new view that appears, choose the number of partitions you desire, resize them as you want them, name them, choose Mac OS Extended for the format, check the box to install the OS 9 drivers, then click on the Partition button at the bottom to execute.
Before you do the above, you might check with the card manufacturer's site to insure that you have the latest firmware for the card, if you haven't already done so. You might also desire to "zero out" the drive before partitioning it. This isn't essential, but it's probably good practice, since it overwrites the drive with zeroes and maps out any bad blocks (a potential cause of data corruption) which may be present, precluding their future use. If you choose to do this, then first use the Erase tab in Disk Utility, click on the options button, and choose the option to overwrite zeroes to the drive. Use the same Mac OS Extended formatting with the box to install the OS 9 drivers checked. The overwriting process is time-consuming and will take at least a few hours to complete.
Once the drive is partitioned, you can duplicate the entire startup volume from your old drive to a partition on the new one. You can't do a simple copy of OS X to the new drive, but instead have to "clone" it. This can be done using Disk Utility's Restore option, or you can use a (faster) cloning utility like Super Duper or CarbonCopyCloner. SuperDuper is, in my opinion, the easiest to understand and use, although all of these methods are pretty straight-forward. Once your startup volume is cloned to a partition on the new drive, you can simply move the entire OS 9 folder from the new drive to the remaining partition there.
