Reg: Container Shipment process management

Dear All,
My client exports their products through Containers. These containers are provided by offtakers and my client wants the Container shipments to be managed in SAP.
I hope somebody would have experienced the same business process.
It would be better if anyone explain a feasible solution in SAP.
Advance Thanks.
Have a Nice Day.
Regards,
Ravi

Dear All,
My Client manufactures and exports products to his Customers. The customer would send their P.O to my client and also would sent a P.O to the offtakers to provide the necessary containers for shipments.Theses containers will be available at my clients premises.
My Client creates a Sales order for example 20 line items and he shall pack it in this container.
Now my clients requirement is to map the container into SAP such that in his sales order this container will be available for the corresponding line items and this container must be booked for this particular sales order.
Advance thanks.
Have a Nice Day.
Regards,
Ravi

For the sales order, create a delivery using VL01N and pick the goods. Now create a shipment using VT01N and assign the delivery to the shipment document. Make sure to enter the carrier and other details before performing the transportation planning and execution. Save the shipment document and PGI for the delivery would be done automatically.
A shipment represents a physical goods movement between two or more locations.
For the system to create a shipment, shipping-relevant deliveries must exist.
You use Transportation Planning to group pending deliveries into shipments and then to perform the shipments.
The outbound delivery documents contain routes that the system calculates in route determination, and a transportation planning date for the delivery.
Dynamic transportation planning is responsible for grouping together outbound deliveries into shipments that have at least the same route, visit plan type and the same transportation planning date.
The following restrictions can be taken into account for a shipment in Dynamic Transportation Planning:
    u2022 Weight
    u2022 Volume
    u2022 Variable capacity
    u2022 Number of stops
    u2022 Maximum duration
    u2022 Loading units

You cannot carry out transportation planning or creation of shipment after the goods issue has been executed. Once goods issue is done it means that the material has left your premises so there is no need for a transportation planning after it.
In case you need carry out the shipment documents at the end of the day you could just create the delivery documents during the day and at end of the day create the shipment documents and the goods issue.

  • Unable to start Oracle Process Manager from the windows services for OBIEE

    Hi,
I have OBIEE 11g installed on a 32-bit windows machine. Of the two windows services installed, I am unable to start the Oracle Process Manager. When I try to start it I get the following error:
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request  in a timely fashion.
At the back end, this service is calling the file opmn.exe which is placed at MIDDLEWAREHOME\Oracle_BI1\opmn\bin. On trying to execute this file the error we get is:
The procedure entry point longjmp could not be located in the dynamic link library orauts.dll
I have tried replacing the orauts.dll file, but to no avail.
Please let me know if you have any clue regarding what is to be done.
    Thanks
    Naman

    Hi Naman,
This error occurs for the following reasons,
*Path variable is not set properly
*Multiple Oracle homes exists in the same machine.
Follow the below steps and let me know if it works,
    1. Select My Computer -> Right Click -> Properties
    2. In the System Properties screen go to Advanced Tab
    3. Click on Environment Variables
    4. In the System Variables section select PATH variable & Click edit
    5. Now you will find that it will contain invalid directories. Remove the incorrect entries. This may happen when you have multiple oracle homes in the same machine
    6. Restart the service.

  • How to install Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier

    hi,
i need to install BPEL process manager, so i download the following file from otn
    1.soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1
    2.soa_windows_x86_bpel_101310
here i read the document named b28980.pdf from bpel\doc\pc.1012 to install BPEL PM
so i start to complete the pre-installation task
    1.installed Oracle database 10g
2.Run the Integration Repository Creation Assistant on the Database
3.Install Oracle Application Server 10g Release3 (10.1.3.1.0) and select either the J2EE Server installation type or the J2EE and Web Server installation type. selected J2EE and Web Server installation type
and installed according to the Oracle application server installation guide.
installed OracleAS in the path : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1
4.Install the current release of Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier
here they mention to select the J2EE and Web Server installation type because that type is selected in Oracle AS installed in Oracle Application Server
so i start to install the BPEL PM by selecting the setup.exe-->and shows the location source and destination
default destination is : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OraBPEL_1 selected next on the screen
the next screen is select installation type here there are two types named
1.BPEL process Manager for Developer (371MB)
2.BPEL process manager for Oracle AS Middle tier (107MB)
i selected 2.BPEL process manager for Oracle AS Middle tier (107MB) and click next
pop up window opens with title dependencies
    error:
BPEL Process manager for oracle AS Middle tier will run on top of a supported Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1.0 J2EE server and Web Server Or J2EE server instance. this location does not contain this instance. Please select new Oracle home that contains a supported instance.
so i changed the destination path to : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\BIN then also i got the same error.
please any one mention the path for J2EE and Web Server instance for installing the BPEL PM for Oracle AS Middle Tier.
    Thanks in Advance
    Aswath Thaniga

If you choose the developer version you will be fine.
If you have installed J2EE and Web Server installation into D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1 then this is the location you install your BPEL PM into, not D:\product\10.1.3.1\OraBPEL_1 or D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\BIN.
D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1 is what we call the ORACLE_HOME, generally we create a new home for each install, but in this case there is a dependency on 10.1.3.1 OC4J container. So it needs to be installed into 10.1.3.1 oracle home.
The bin directory is just the executables for that home, its not the actual. home.
    cheers

  • Sharepoint Out of the Box as Business Process Management (BPM) Tool

How Sharepoint  out of the box can be used as Business Process Management  tool? Like we have K2.

    Hi Bharat,
    Thanks for posting your query,
All versions of SharePoint support workflows based on windows workflow foundation. SharePoint Server includes some predefined advanced workflows such as Approval, Collect feedback, Collect signatures. WSS 3.0 and SharePoint foundation contains simple "3
    steps workflow".
But all versions support custom workflows and custom worflow steps created in SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio.
You can customize forms with SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio or InfoPath.

  • Shipment process without delivery is it possible?

    Hi,
My company wants to track the shipment of parts scrapped (sap mvt type 551) and sent to the vendor throught the shipment.
We are already using transportation for outbound delivery and WM.
The current process is : 1- mvt type 551; 2- Create TO; 3-Confirm T.O and sent parts to vendor for scrap.
We would like integrate the shipment in the this process.
Can you help me to figure out the integration with the shipment process?
    Thanks & Regards
    Bouba

    Bouba,
Check your IM to WM interface  configuration setting
IMG: Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Interfaces > Define Movement Types >>Assign WM Movement Type References to IM Movement Types & >> LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management
Based on your error message (551/X/X/ /L/X/./) your current settings in "Assign WM Movement Type References to IM Movement Types" are as follows:
    > IM Mvt type = 551 (GI scrapping)
    > VUp = X (Yes, update Value)
    > QUP = X (Yes, Update Quantity)
    > Special Stock = Blank (No special Stock)
    > Movement Indicator = L (Delivery)
    > Recipeint indicator = X (Stock Transport Order)
    > Ref Mvmt type = Blank (No WM Movemnet type)
Your reference movement type should not be blank - recommend changing it to 551
Also, make sure that IM mvmt type 551 is linked to Warehouse mvmt type 551 in LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management with all of the correct settings as above.
I hope this does the trick for you.

  • Process management color (urgent!!!!)

    hi all!
when i used the process management control , i am confused that all cells are red ,who can tell me why the cells are not green or yellow?
and what the colors means ?
    thank you very much !!!!

    Hi,
Following from HFM user guide might be useful
Using Cell Colors in Data Grids to Determine Status
Cell colors in data grids indicate additional information about the data. The following table shows the default cell colors in data grids:
Off-white This is an input cell. You can enter or edit data manually.
    Light green Allows allocations/derived data.
Medium green This cell is read-only.
Dark green This cell has no write or read access/derived data.
Red Invalid intersection of dimension members. You cannot enter data in invalid cells.
Yellow Yellow indicates one of these conditions:
Data in the cells has been modified but has not yet been saved.
The input status is OK, but the status of the adjustment is not OK (CH, CN or TRN). If the status is CN for node level adjustments, you must run Force Calculate Contribution to clear up the adjustment member status.
Gray This cell contains locked/derived data.
Blue This is a header cell.
Black This is the active cell
This applies to Data grid but I don't think there may be any issue as far as colour RED,, Dark Green are concerned.

When I get to setting up the Oracle Application Server, it tells me the OPMN Process Manager failed to start, tells me to check the logs in /oms10g/opmn/logs, and to start OPMN manually before hitting retry.
The log files in that directory do not seem to contain any errors.
When I run ./opmnctl stopall, ./opmnctl startall, ./opmnctl status, I get no obvious errors, and then the following:
    DSA ~ DSA ~ Down
    HTTP_Server ~ HTTPServer ~ Alive
    LogLoader ~ logloaderd ~ Down
    dcm-daemon ~ dcm-daemon ~ Down
    OC4J ~ home ~ Alive
    WebCache ~ WebCache ~ Alive
    WebCache ~ WebCacheAdmin ~ Alive
When I do ./opmn start I get the following:
./opmn: error while loading shared libraries: libmodapi.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
When I do a ldd ./opmn I get the following errors:
    libmodapi.so => not found
    libclntsh.so.10.1 => not found
I am assuming my problem is that these two libraries are not linked in. I have looked through the forums, and found closely related threads, but none that seemed to help, most notably changing my PATH. If anyone has any suggestions, I would welcome them. Thanks for your help.
    Sincerely,
    Don

    Hi All,
We all agree that best practice involves a test installation. My original post was about a problem I was having with the creation of my test bed. I did create my own manual, which I am sure is not the best manual ever created, but does work to get the software installed. If it is proven out, I will post it to try and return something to the community.
In order to do this, I needed to read thousands of pages of documentation so far, which does not even scratch the surface of the total amount on OTN. I am still revising my instructions as I find that the documentation commonly assumes the reader has been installing Oracle for some time and is fully aware of all the appropriate acronyms and the entire logical and physical structure of the database. In order to just read many of the documents, I had to draw out a map of Oracle on a whiteboard as I went. As a systems administrator, should I have to search through all those papers, manuals, the web, etc. and try to gain an advanced DBA understanding to get a working default installation? Perhaps it seems like I am just a new user who is whining, but how many programs can you think of where this type of effort is required?
In looking at the relationship between the DBA and the Systems Administrator, where should we draw a line between their tasks?
Should the DBA have to learn how to assess appropriate server hardware, and then install and administrate every flavor of Windows, UNIX, Linux, etc. in any given environment? Should a DBA be required to build a Linux kernel, configure Active Directory, or install Solaris before installing Oracle?
Should the Systems Administrator have to learn the nuances of installing and optimizing Oracle databases in order to just put the base software on the system and configure the kernel so it is ready for a DBA?
More interesting, as stated above, I could hand you the Gentoo Handbook, and without knowing a single thing about Gentoo Linux, you would have a default installation of the Gentoo OS. You could also grab step-by-step instructions for a default installation of MySQL on Gentoo, or a myriad of other programs, for that matter. This would hardly replace the Gentoo systems administrator or MySQL DBA, but it does serve a very valid purpose of enabling the systems administrator and DBA. Shouldn’t Oracle have something similar?
I would think the Systems Administrator knowledgeable in the OS and Kernel should be able to perform the first half of the installation task where they are more likely to be an expert, and then allow the DBA to create and optimize the databases they install, which they in turn can spend years learning how to do. Time that the DBA spends learning the OS or time the Systems Administrator spends learning Oracle is valuable in the long run, but it is also extra time to get the initial database up and running. One of the largest reasons IT personnel exist at all is to keep users from having to spend too much time learning about their computers to get their work done. Shouldn’t this also translate between IT groups?
Databases are one of the few software installations that systems administrators commonly don't have to maintain on corporate servers. The best comparison I know of is web services. In this manner web servers are very similar, and are commonly installed by a team as well. I am perfectly capable of creating a default install of Apache, Tomcat, or IIS from step-by-step instructions provided by Apache or Microsoft without much more tailored information than the IP address and system name we are going to use to fill in the blanks during the installation.
While I have performed the role of sole IT staff at a small software engineering company, and have therefore been the SysNetWebSecDB admin hydra in the past, in larger companies there seems to be no problem with having the system administrator create a default installation of Apache or IIS, having the network team configure the switches and DMZ, and having the web team customize the server and design the site without each of them having to know everything.
So the above is a good idea and I would encourage
them to do it because after that, it makes them
stonger than when they use an already completed one
to install.Sometimes there is time to sit down and read all the instructions and become a more robust IT professional. Sometimes there is only time to read the Getting Started section and you have to read the full instructions and optimize later if there is time. Sometimes you have outside influences that mean it has to get done in less time than it should, whether or not the justification for rushing is reasonable.
Should I plan to read every knowledge base article ever published by Microsoft in order to create a test bed installation of Windows 2008? Honestly, I’d still be reading the NT4 docs.
Not only does not every business have a DBA, or the money to hire one, sometimes the business does not want to do so, or sometimes the security is such that the DBA is not part of the unit allowed to utilize administrative access on the servers. That doesn’t mean they don’t need a database tomorrow.
As an IT professional, I will never be able to come close to encompassing the amount of knowledge I actually could use to do my job. I try to specialize in a few areas so that I have the ability to keep up with the exponential rate of IT expansion, but I basically consider a vast part of my job being constantly thrown into the deep end, and, fair or not, getting things done anyway. Hopefully that makes me good at my job. The question is how much time and effort I should need to apply before I can get to a reasonable starting point where everyone else can do their work too.
    There
is normally no single document to achieve or complete
and installation unless the bespoke type. Apart from
the Install Guide, there could be Readme, Release
notes, Adendum etc. While I noted in a previous post that I shouldn't be too hard on Oracle in trying to document such a massive effort, that doesn’t mean that their documentation doesn’t need work. Why is the documentation for a single product spread out over tens of thousands of pages? It should be obvious that this has resulted in redundant and often conflicting documents, including the dozen readme documents in the installation files, the readme documents in the installed files, the install guide, the readme and addendum for each of those, the release notes for each of those, and a new set for each patch.
Obviously, for any installation, I need to complete a document for my own environment that contains the proper network configuration for our own LAN, or the proper partitioning. I do this for any program. Oracle needs me to change the name of the OS install to get their installer not to error out on their own OS. If OFA is so desirable, why not make the default install explain and follow OFA? Basic issues like this are highly avoidable, and shouldn’t be seen by the end user, even if in this case the end user is a highly technical audience capable of adjusting.
It will hard to get a single document because they
will be platform dependent and what someone did in
their install, may not always work everywhere.Again, please note that Oracle has "released" an OS that they intend for people to use on their Oracle validated hardware as a premier platform for their Oracle database. It isn't a stretch to feel that Oracle should then be able to provide valid, step-by-step instructions for a default installation of their own software, on validated hardware, on their own OS. I’m not expecting an optimized and populated database, but if the hardware, OS, and software are all under Oracle’s control, there aren’t really any variables other than machine name and IP address for a default install.
Hopefully my current knowledge will work for the time being, and I will be able to optimize appropriately in the future as I can.

  • When use "Clear history" firefox 4 create to much processus plugin-container.exe process

    Hi,
When i clear History , Cookie, etc.... i see in the process manager any more process for plugin-container.exe
    See screenshot : http://i52.tinypic.com/spvtq1.png

Twice recently my main XP system has begun to run extremely slowly and has taken a very long time to shut down. Investigating yesterday, I found that plugin-container.exe was hogging memory, using 250Mb. Available memory went don as low as 6 Mb. As I closed programs it grabbed more, eventually peaking at 400Mb. There were several tabs open, so I closed them one by one, and it was clear that one web site had triggered this problem. I suspect that there had also been memory leakage, with an area of memory no longer available. Eventually the system did close down, but it took 20 minutes. Firefox 4.0.1 is installed.
Same problem occurred with a laptop on which 4.0.1 has just been installed.

  • Shipment process or IFM

    Hi all,
i was working on one of the AT phase for this shipment process last year, but i still cant figure out as what value is this process adding to both customer and supplier.I mean in Shipment process we send bunch of ASN's together rather than sending it individually. How is it adding value ? explain using Business process.
    Regards,
    Nandan

    Hi Nandan,
ASNu2019s are created in different shifts for different Products in differ shipping docks at the same Supplier Location and a single Shipment is created based on the Transportation Schedule once in a day, Specific Days of week etc.
The shipment request is the basis for further transportation planning. It contains the most important data for planning and executing the transportation, such as pick-up and delivery addresses and dates/times, or the goods to be transported.
As the name suggests, shipment talks about how the material is being sent. e.g. by Truck, Rail, etc...
who is the Transportation service provider, what is the container id / docking id?
    tracking of the consignment, etc.
    Regards,
    Sandeep

  • BPEL Process Manager Generated WSDL

We are working on an ant build framework for a Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.3.0 project, consisting of a main BPEL process that is synchronously calling another BPEL process via an ESB. This second process uses the same ESB to call back the original process.
This of course leads to a circular deployment dependency, where the ESB requires both BPEL WSDLs before it can be deployed, and each BPEL process needs a WSDL for the ESB endpoint to be deployed.
We are attempting to short circuit this dependency by deploying a web application registry for the WSDLs in question, but this presents us with a further problem. The WSDLs used to communicate with the BPEL processes and ESB are not the project WSDLs, but appear to actually be describing web service wrappers generated on the application server side. In order to use the proposed web registry, we would need to be able to predictably generate these WSDLs (or at least representative versions).
In our example it looks like a case of generating binding and service elements and merging them with the BPEL project WSDL , but we do not feel that it is safe to assume anything about this behaviour and would prefer some kind of documentation to inform our decision.
    So, a couple of questions:
    1) Can anyone provide documentation and/or description of how the required web service endpoints are generated by the application server/BPEL process manager?
    2) Alternatively, is there a better way of avoiding or dealing with the aforementioned circular dependency?
    Thankyou

I was wondering too what would be a could solution for the "circular dependency" situation.
In my current project we will build some mockup-bpels(just for the interface) for the time being.
