Good morning
I need to have visibility of what users are online (Excel) for audit/monitoring purposes.
We are having severe performance issues and want to understand how many users are online concurrently.
In other SAP systems one can audit who is online SM04. In SM04 all BPC users logged in through Excel show up as BPCADMIN. So there is no way to tell how many users are online.
BPC for Microsoft offers a feature to find who is online. There must be a way to do the same in Netweaver?
Thank you,
Catherine

  • Invalid_jobdata when submitting job with rfc user

    Hi,
I've created a function module in the erp system to remotly trigger a report program by a bw prossess chain.
When running in the forground it works fine, but the runtime is so long that I want it as a background job.
So I call job_open, job_submit, job_close in the function module. When I test the function module in the erp system with my dev user it opens a new job, adds a step and release correctly. It also runs fine if I intercept it in the debugger and change sy-uname to aleremote (the standard rfc user).
It does not work when it's acctually called rfc from the bw system. The job is opened, but job_submit throws invalid_jobdata.
Could this have anything to do with rfc or the executing user (which is of type SYSTEM)?

I've caught the execption so there is no dump, but I'm unable to determine why the function module job_submit gives invalid_jobdata only when the executing user is the aleremote user and only when the call originated (the call to my module) from a remote system (the module job_submit is called locally thru my module). Authorization for the user is sap_all, but I was woundering maybe the user type system could be a problem?

  • RFC user profile

    Hello,
We are on SRM 5 and our RFC user to our backend is SAP_ALL.
But for Sarbane Oaxley Controle we can't keep this SAP_ALL for this user.
Does Someone knows wich profile or authorization we have to give to the RFC user?
    Thanks

    Hi,
I am Putting the same information as per the note as per the note mentioned by Yaan(For those who dont have access for that note)
    <b>Solution</b>
    1. The RFC user should be created as a background user in the back-end system.
    2. If you do not want to use profile SAP_ALL for safety reasons, you can create your own profile with restricted basis authorizations:
Call Transaction PFCG for the role maintenance and create your own role.
In the role, go to the 'Authorizations' tab and choose 'Change Authorization Data'.
Do not select ANY template on the dialog box.
Choose menu option 'Edit -> Insert authorization(s) -> Full authorization' and confirm the dialog box 'Insert all authorizations' with 'Yes'.
Choose menu option 'Utilities -> Technical names on'.
For object class 'Basis  Administration' (BC_A), set the following authorization objects to inactive:
    System authorizations (S_ADMI_FCD)
    Authorizations: Check for roles (S_USER_AGR)
    User master maintenance: Authorizations (S_USER_AUT)
User master maintenance: User groups (S_USER_GRP)
Authorizations: Deactivate authorization objects globally (S_USER_OBJ)
User master maintenance: Authorization profile (S_USER_PRO)
Users: System specific assignment authorization checks (S_USER_SAS )
User master maintenance: System for central user maintenance (S_USER_SYS )
    Authorizations: Transactions in roles (S_USER_TCD)
Authorizations: Field values in roles (S_USER_VAL)
For object class 'Basis  Development Environment' (BC_C), set the following authorization objects to inactive:
    ABAP Workbench (S_DEVELOP)
Authorization for documentation maintenance via SE61 (S_DOKU_AUT)
Maintenance of glossary and terminology objects (S_TERM_AUT)
Authorization object for translation environment (S_TRANSLAT)
    Transport Organizer (S_TRANSPRT)
Generate and save the authorizations, profiles and role.
    3. Assign the new role to your RFC user by using Transaction SU01.
    Cheers...

  • RFC User Authorizations

I have created an RFC user in the source system with the profile S_BI-WX_RFC and an RFC user in the BI system with the authorisation S_BI-WHM_RFC. Initially I also gave them SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW. However I do not really want users to have the level of access SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW gives so I have removed these profiles. However when I now try and run an infopackage it doesnt seem to extract any data. I cant seem to see any valid error messages to see what's missing. Nothing of any use in the infopackage or SU53. Any body any ideas what might be missing or another profile/role that may need adding?

    Hi,
first chec the RFC connection between r/3 and BW
in the monitor screen go to environment>check

  • Rfc user

    hello all
i configure a RFC connection and a RFC user .
in the logon data   , what type i need to put in the windows ? and why ?
    thanks for the help
    eyal

    Hello Eyal,
RFC user must be confirgured as type SYSTEM.
    Because:
It is not possible tto use this type of user for a dialog logon.
Users of this type are excepted from the usual settings for the validity period of a password.
Only user administrators can change the password.

  • ALEREMOTE and BWREMOTE

    Hi,
My Question is based on a Conversion Exit. In my Ztable i hv PSPNR(WBS element) and WWPRO(Project ID) fields which display just internal id's upon execution for ex. 000879 ; but nw in Settings>UserParameter>i check on the Conversion Exits. and finally the Data that displays is External ID's i.e P0008791. This Settings will be for My User ID only.
Now when i logon as another user & execute the same Ztable,,the Output displayed will again be internal id's. So again i vll hv to go to Settings>UserParameter>i check on the Conversion Exits.then i am able to c External ID's
So my Question is When i bring/move this Data from DEV to Quality, do v have to set these options again.? i.e when data comes from R/3 to BW,its ALEREMOTE  and when it goes to Quality it moves thru BWREMOTE. So vll i have to set these options again??
Please correct me if am wrong. Also please suggest any pros and cons for the problems that wud arise!!
    Thanks

    Hi Khan,
               These are remote users...........
what ever u set for remote communication in rfc those users will come into the picture......

  • ALEREMOTE and Process Chains.

    Hi All
What is the normal procedure of scheduling process chains in Prod.  we have a set of chains (mostly meta) and they are using ALEREMOTE and are working fine. when we execute the execute the individual chains (if required in case of failures etc) they too use ALEREMOTE. Now the Basis team wants the ALEREMOTE not to be used as it a very powerful user. from now the chains would take the user of the individual who is executing the chains. and the mata chains that are scheduled will run with a different user with lesser previlages than ALEREMOTE.
Has anyone come across such situation? Do we have any best practices from SAP?
Thanks for your comments and help.
    Regards

    HI
ALEREMOTE as you said its powerfull user it contains the all authorizations. if you use any other id's ex: if you have 2laks records to load, it may take 1hours, sometimes some user is having limitations in this. A user having idle time 30min and B user haing may 1hour. like this basis will assaign the limitations to all the users.
ask your basis team to create one more userid copying the all authorizations from ALEREMOTE.

  • How to handle BP who is both Customer and Vendor during history import?

    Hi Forum,
This is for importing Financial transactions for Open Sales Orders, Open Sales Invoices, Open Purchase Orders and Open Purchase Invoices and also for importing history for all Closed Sales Orders, Invoices, Purchase Orders and Invoices.
Our prospect has in their current system Business Partners who are both Customers and Suppliers (Vendors). In SAP Business ONE, BP is unique. It is recommended I believe in situation where BP is both Customer and Vendor, we need to create two BP Ids.
    Question?
How do we import open and history of invoices in this situation where the same BP is both Customer and Vendor? Any tips would help please.
    Thank you all very much.

    Hi Syed,
As Gordon and Rahul said, it is painful for you if you import closed transactions.
Try to compromise your client that to use the old system for last year/old reports.
Its always good practice to import the Opening balance and even the open documents only.
If you have partially open items, then import the document for open quantities only.
Let's say, if you have a sale order with an item of 100 Qty. Among that 100 qty, lets 20 qty has been already delivered then you have to create the sale order in SAP for remaining 80 qty only.

  • I recently purchased an iMac from a friend who factory reset it, and now I can't reinstall Mountain Lion?

As the title says, I can't reinstall Mountain Lion. When I turn on the iMac, it send me straight to OX X Utilities. When I click on Reinstall Mountain Lion, it asks for my ID, but then states I did not purchase Mountain Lion. How do I fix this issue? I've tried asking Apple Support, but to no avail. I don't think the guy I spoke with understood what was going on.
I cannot get around OS X Utilities. There are only four options for me.
    Reinstall Mountain Lion
Back Up (tried, nothing comes up)
Get Help Online (which is what I'm doing here)
Erase or Restore Utilities (I've checked this, it says my disks are not malfunctioning)
My friend suggested signing into his ID to reinstall but when we did, it also said this ID has not purchased Mountain Lion. We logged into Apple Support went to registed devices and there was nothing there. I think he may have used another ID which is he searching for the info for. If we get the right ID, then maybe it will let us sign in on his name and reinstall Mountain Lion. But if he can't, or Apple won't take his ID, then I'm at a loss for options.
So now I'm here, hoping someone else who bought a used iMac from a friend who factory reset it and needs info on how to reinstall Mountain Lion can help me. I don't know what else to do. If I can't get this thing sorted out, I'll have to drive to the apple store. The closest one is 60 miles away, so I'm not looking forward to that. Is that my only option now? What can I do?
tl;dr I bought a used iMac from a friend who factory reset it, and now I don't know how to reinstall Mountain Lion. What are my options?

If the system didn't ship with Mountain Lion originally and you didn't purchase Mountain Lion yourself, then you will need to purchase. A purchase by the system's original owner cannot be transferred to you.
Unless you have another system on which you have purchased Mountain Lion, you will need to first install Mac OS X 10.6.8 on the iMac, for which you'll need either the original installation disks, if the iMac came with 10.6, or a retail copy of 10.6. Install 10.6 and upgrade to at least 10.6.6, and then you can buy Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store, presuming of course that the imac can support Mountain Lion. See:

How can i know who get my photos and messages from my icloud???

Nobody, except the persons who have your username and password or with whom you share photos streams would be able to see anything from you.

The following website gives you an overview on how your iCloud data is encrypted: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT4865 So as long as you don not share your Apple ID with someone else, everything should be fine.

  • Monitoring of remote system's Transactional RFC and Queued RFC

    Hello,
In our production system, in rz20- CCMS monitor templates- Communication-Transactional RFC and Queued RFc- outbound queues- Queues otherwise not monitored we can see blocked queues for each client.
System is connected to solution manager and we wish the central auto reaction is implemented in solution manager
However i am unable to find Transactional RFC and Queued RFC for the remote system, they exist only for solution manager itself
Tell me how can i do the central monitoring

    Hello,
First you need to check with your Landscape in solman in order to monitor any kind of activities to do so pls follow these steps.
Go to SMSY in solman under Landscape components>Product systemsselect you satellite system example SAP ECC.
On the main screen you will find client for which you have generated RFC connection. Please check though connection are working fine, Go to edit mode and try to click on generate button there will be a pop-up, which gives a clear picture of RFC connection which already exists, and you can also re-generate this RFC connection by clean it up when you re-generate pls select under Actions after generation assign RFC dest for system monitoring.
But make sure there is no project impact on this RFC, like they are not using any logical components and already have some projects running on this RFC connection.
I would advise you to first you the option of assign and check RFC button which is next to generate icon.
