Regarding COGI

Greetings,
I have problem regarding COGI, after confirmation if any error in goods movements or stock, records goes to COGI even I block these settings in confirmation parameters i.e.OPK4.
How can I restrict the COGI?
I requested you people to suggest me the suitable solution.

Rakesh

Thanks for your reply,
Please throw more light about restrict the confirmation when backflush mtl is not available and mannually issued mtl has not been issued.
As above mentioned thread is regarding value restriction in COGI, But I am facing problem in confirmation,During confirmation error records for bk flsh mtl  goes in COGI even though I restrict these things in OPK4 (Customization parameters for order confirmation).
Awaiting for your valuable reply.

  • CO-PA: COGS accounts created as cost elements

    hello,
I have a question regarding COGS accounts, being created as cost elements. This was not causing problems, because client was using real internal orders for profit analysis. In the next phase of project, during implementation of costing based CO-PA, now I have problem, because of this situation, because I can not delete created cost elements  (only possible at the beginning of the new fiscal year) , and the system asks for cost object assignment during GI creation. I was considering OKB9 assignment, but I think this will cause double values in CO-PA. Maybe temporary solution, by using real internal orders till the end of the year, and then deleting existing cost elements for COGS accounts, could work?
Please, advise what to do to solve this situation.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dusko

Hope you are not using account based COPA
To avoid double values in COPA, you can do one of two things,
    1) after the costs are transferred to the internal order, you can just keep them there without doing settlement, let the users know that there will be under absorption for the internal order.
    2) If the users are not willing to have under absorption in the internal order, you can transfer the costs to a value feild in COPA which is not reflected in the report in KE30 (Remember that you may loose one value feild in COPA this way)
Both make no effect on KE30 report as data will be transfered to COPA at the time of billing

  • COGI error, material locked on user name.

    Hello,
I have a problem regarding COGI error.
User was working on the COGI and system gets hanged. He restarted the system and again start working on COGI transaction.
But there was error for one line item is "The plant data of the material XXXX is locked by the user ABC".
I have deleted locked entries (with user name) by the transaction code SM12. But still COGI report shwos ths message.
Thanks to give me solution for this.

Do not delete the COGI entry, this is the very last option you should use.
The error messages is COGI indicate the error that occurred when the automatic goods movement failed.  The error message is historical, it does not change when you reopen COGI.  Select the COGI line and then select "save", this will try to reprocess the goods movement, if the material is not locked anymore the goods movement will process, else another error will occur.

  • COGI errors regarding work orders

    HI Gurus,
can anybody please help me with this issue. There are COGI errors occurring for HIBE items that are put on the work order. The error message in COGI is you do not have authorization for this transaction with movement type 261. It is not happening for all the technicians and not for all the HIBE materials. It happened during a week time frame and now they do not seem to go away. Why are these COGI errors occurring and what needs to be done to fix them now. PLease advise. Help is greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Anusha

    Hi,
It is possibly the plant that determines if the user is allowed to post the goods movement or not. Relevant authorization object is M_MSEG_WWA, this is checked for the activity '01' and the plant. If that is not the issue then check the authorizations M_MSEG_BWA, M_MSEG_BWE, M_MSEG_BWF, M_MSEG_WWE, M_MSEG_WWF.

  • COGS update on other GL Account at the time of Free goods or Sample goods

    Hello,
In sales process, Usually the at the time of Delivery, material document is created as
    DR COGS
    CR INVENTORY
But in the case of free goods or bonus goods or samples: the account should not determines COGS instead it should determine another GL Account called as Free good -COGS expense A/c.
How can we solve the issue.
    Regards,

    Hi Yasar,
You need to create a new routine for calculate type.
    Do as below:
    1. Go to VOFM>Formulas>calc.rule Rebate InKd to create a new routine for calculate type.  for example 601.
    2. add the following code in this routine 601 and then save.
      USING L_FRM STRUCTURE KONDN_FRM.
    DATA: VORKOMMA  LIKE KONDN-KNRMM,
           NACHKOMMA LIKE KONDN-KNRMM.
      L_FRM-NRMENGE = 0.
      L_FRM-NRRUND  = 0.
      L_FRM-NRMENGE = ( L_FRM-MGLME / L_FRM-KNRNM * L_FRM-KNRZM ).
    business rounding
        VORKOMMA = FLOOR( L_FRM-NRMENGE ).
      L_FRM-NRRUND  = L_FRM-NRMENGE - VORKOMMA.
      L_FRM-NRMENGE = VORKOMMA.
    3. Select routine 601 in field "Calc.Rule" when you create free goods condition record.
    Hope it helps.

  • COGS (Cost of the Goods Sold) in OPM reg.

    Hi
Can anyone provide the details about COGS (Cost of the goods sold) documents/set up in R12.
    This is very urgent.
    Kindly do the needful.

    Hi,
    1. Cost of manufacture of a Product is what the value of goods sold or Cost of Goods sold (COGS). Either, you use the SAP Costing module (CO-PC) to let SAP determine COGS or you can manullay input COGS into material master fields (Standard or Moving Average) in Accounting view of Material master. In either case, COGS is stored in the material master valuation (Accounting) view.
    2. You mean in a COGS? Whatever costs it takes to manufacture a product is included in COGS, for instance Material cost, Labor cost etc.,
    Hope this helps.

  • BADI for movement type 601 and COGS GL account

    Hello SAP expert,
I am searching a solution from SAP enhancements.
The requirement is to provide different COGS GL account based on the Customer Account Assignment Group value(KNVV-KTGRD) when SAP performs goods issue. for example, movement type 601,
This means, when company ships goods to differnt customers, then SAP should generate different COGS GL account.
for example, when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '01' (Domestic customers), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818100.
when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '02' (export customes), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818200.
when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '03' (Testing - sample customers), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818300.
    the logic is following:
KNVV-KTGRD COGS GL account at goods issue
    01 Domestic 818100
    02 Export 818200
    03 Testing - sample 818300
    04 Testing - VOM 818400
    05 Franchise 818500
Is there any similar BADI available to solve the above?
    Happy New Year!
    Regards,
    Sylvia Chen

    Hello,
First of all, Happy New Year!
    Thank you for the tip.
Enhancement LMR1M002 was already implemented in the current SAP environment.
The text is "Account grouping for GR/IR account maintenance".
Function "EXIT_SAPLKONT_011" is the component under Enhancement LMR1M002.
That is all I can see from SAP.
I am not an ABAP person.
Can you provide information for the next step?
    Thank you.

  • Gray screen, spinning cog and midway to first back up of time machine

    Hi,
I got a new external hard drive and wanted to back up my system, which I tried using time machine. At some point during the back up, it appeared to me that time machine is stuck. I tried stopping the back up but my machine was not responding, even any other application. I power it down by down the power key. So, I had backed up some data and not all of it.
Now, when I restarted it is showing gray screen with apple logo and spinning cog and not moving beyond that (even after 4 hours). I am kind of worried if my hard disk has crashed and I have lost the remaining data.
Any help regarding trouble shooting this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    v8r.

Basically, you need to boot from a drive other than the one that is failing. If your external already has an operating system on it, you can boot from that one. Since you're asking, though, I'm going to assume it does not.
First things first: cables. You need a firewire cable to connect your MacBook Pro to your Mac mini. I don't know what FireWire ports are available on your two machines. The two types of FireWire (400/800) are compatible, so if the two machines don't have the same ports, you can get an adapter. See this page for info about types of FireWire ports: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8259.html
    - Next, boot the machine with the failing drive into "Target Disk Mode." When you hear the chime, hold down the "T" key. You should not see the Apple logo. Instead, you should see the FireWire logo slowly moving around the screen. This tells the computer to act as if it were simply an external hard drive.
    - Connect the MacBook Pro to your Mac mini via FireWire. If you're lucky, the drive will show up on the desktop of your Mac mini. Copy the files to a safe location.
    - If it does not, you'll need to use software to recover the data. If you already have DiskWarrior, you can run DiskWarrior from your Mac mini on the MBP's drive. If you don't or if DW failed to produce a read-only "preview," I would recommend ProSoft's Data Rescue: http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php DiskWarrior has more long-term use, but Data Rescue is better for this situation.
I know I still skimmed over a few things (e.g. using third-party software that I no longer have), but I hope that gets you started.

  • Posting date issue for COGI records.

    Hi all,
I have one issue regarding the posting date for the records which are being cleared from COGI.
_In case of MF47 (Postprocessing for REM) following is the behaviour,_
In this if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing, Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 20th in post processing record clearance
_Now in case of COGI (Automatic goods movement : Error handling) behaviour is different,_
In this scenario if GR has happened on say 1st and due to stock un-availability components are gone to Post processing (COGI), Now when stock of component inwarded on say 20th then GI posting happens on 1st in post processing record clearance
I want same should be happened in case of COGI also, is there any note/ correction/option available??
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Vinayak.

    Dear,
There are backlogs from the backflush in repetitive manufacturing. You can display these using Transaction MF47 and/or Transaction COGI. So schedule a job for program RMSERI11 on daily basis or hourly basis  so it will clear the postprocessing errors.
But for some of the errors, it needs manual intervention like updating storage location, posting dates due to posting period block etc.
    Hope clear to you.
    Regards,
    R.Brahmankar

  • Program for Background Job for COGI

Does anyone know what is the Program name for creating background job to run COGI? I'm using CORUAFFW to create variants and run the program but its not working as I guess it isonly generating the report but not deleting the records if inventory is added.

    Amit,
Use Program "CORUAFWP" to schedule background job to post COGI error records if the error is corrected, as in your case stock is corrected.
