Regarding Copying the structure

Hi All,
I have designed a custom cube based on standard cube. Now i have to design the queries based on that InfoCube. In the standard Cube, we have a strcuture which I want in the query designer for the custom cube. How to get that structure into that InfoCube??

No, you are correct. A global structure is tied to a cube, not available for all cubes. But if you copy even one query from Cube 1 to Cube 2, even if it is not using the structure, the structure and other global elements will get copied too. Open a query for cube 2 and you will find then with _1 added on the left hand side.

If the queries in question are on the same Infoprovider, then you can save the structure as a global structure and use it in both the queries.
If the queries will be on different InfoProviders, then you would need to copy at the query level using RSZC.

Here I have a structure in the field symbol. My requirement is how do I create a internal table with the structure that is there in the field symbol?...
and i'm unable to refer to the field that is dynamically created in the field symbol.

 my objective is to create an internal table with structure that i have obtained in <gfs_tab> .
other than the pernr, there are many fields dynamically generated.
say if I have generated the following structure in <gfs_tab> :
pernr ename1 day1 day2 day3
then I want to create an internal table with the above structure so that my internal table will have fields:
1) pernr
2) ename1
3) day1
4) day2
5) day3
for each execution of the report there will be different structure generated in <gfs_tab> depending upon the inputs that I give.

I'm not sure if I get your problem right away but if you just need to add some selections to the selection screen of Program RI_ORDER_OPERATION_LIST, you just have to copy include I_ORDER_OPERATION_LIST_SEL to your own z* include and add the selection parameters you want. If this is not the result you're looking for, please explain it more detailed.

You can use the export datasource option to copy the data.
Another option is:
The steps for copying the contents of one cube to another:
1. Go to Manage -> Recontruct of the new cube.
2. Select the "selection button"(red , yellow, blue diamond button).
3.In the selection screen you can give the technical name of the old cube, requests ids you want to load, from & to date.
4.Execute and the new cube would be loaded.
Its all that easy!!!!!!

Short Dump while copying Org structure from ERP to CRM

Hello Experts:
We are trying to copy the Org structure from ECC to CRM.
We have a standard transaction 'CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE' to copy the the org structure from ECC or the IMG path:
SPRO->CRM->Master Data->Organization Management->Data Transfer->Coppy ECC Sales Structure
We have a multiple assignment scenario where each sales groups are assigned to multiple sales offices and likewise,each sales office is assigned to multiple sales org unit in ECC.
This can be achieved by turning on the enhanced version.
In our current business,even though the sales offices and groups are created,but are not having relavance in the business,hence while running in the sandbox system, we ran the program to copy the structures in the standard mode(default) and we could copy it without issues and create the org units for every entity in CRM based on how the number ranges are defined.
What happens when enhanced version switch is turned on ::
While we turn the mode to enhanced version, The system automatically::
- enhances the Function tab page in the ppoma_crm transaction to include a grid table, in which you maintain multiple assignments of organizational units
- generates an extra dialog box to the Organization tab page in business transactions for you to select the relevant assignment path for the organizational unit
- adapts the consistency check in business transactions to take into account organizational units that have been multiple assigned
Risk factor :
Once you have switched to the enhanced backend integration version of the organizational model you cannot return to the standard backend integration version. The system will also automatically make changes to the organizational model version in CRM Mobile Sales.
Also this structure will happen across all the clients in the system,so unfortunately cannot try in a sandbox client also of the new environment.
We are building our development box,so while running the above step in standard mode,the program gives a short dump due to long execution time even though we have the same amount of data as in our prototype system.
Also, we increased the idle time value to a very high value.
When I approached SAP OSS,I was told that it is due to the multiple assignment scenario,hence we need to switch to enhanced version in CRM before we run the copy program ( CRMC_ORG_R3_GENERATE )
I am not quite sure if the mismatch of the scenarios between CRM and ECC could be causing this short dump as we could run it in standard mode in our prototype/sandbox environment without issues even with the same data volume as in the new development system .
I am looking for help from all the experts if they have come across similar issue and your recommendations/feedback if this can be corrected.

I did like this,
I have chosen save as option by right clicking the structure and provided tech name and descriptions. It created new structure with the existing fields.

How to compare and copy the fields from repeating subform to another subform, same structure.

Dear All,
I am using LiveCycle Designer 8.2.
I have the following requirement, and did not figure out the best way to implement it using JavaScript.
The Form has, say, Subform A with Repeating Inner Subform, say it has the Education History of the Staff.
I want to put another Subform B, with similar structure to From A, and create a button/function to copy the field data values from A to B.
Subform A will show the user the fields of education with Read-Only Mode.
Subform B will show the user the same data values with write-enable mode. This subform will allow the user update his Education Records.
The fields are:
0. Staff ID: Text (Key 1) (always read-only and hidden, becuase it is on the main form),
1. Degree: Text,
2. Specialization: Text,
3. Institution: Text,
4. Start Date: Date (Key 2),
5. End Date: Date.
Another function is needed is to compare the same records between form A and Form B.
(Note: The Education record of a Staff has primary key of Staff ID and Start Date. Meaning, the Staff cannot have tow different degrees in starting on the same date.)
The user may change the Institution in form B or change the Degree. I need to highlight, on Subform B, the row which was changed or added by the user. This means I need to do lookup against Subform B using the Key Values from Subform A.
I have already developed the Form, and I have about 5 Subforms to allow updated by Staff: Education, Experience Inside the company, Experience Outside the company, Job Skills, Membership Record, ..etc. One thing I did is that the Field Names I used in Subform A are not the same of the fieldname in Subform B, but the have same suffix, and different prefix. For example, for the Education:
Subform A - Original Values:
1. Degree: OrgDegreet,
2. Specialization: OrgSpecialization,
3. Institution: OrgInistitution,
4. Start Date: OrgDateStart (Key),
5. End Date: OrgDateEnd.
Subform B - Updated Values:
1. Degree: UpdDegreet,
2. Specialization: UpdSpecialization,
3. Institution: UpdInistitution,
4. Start Date: UpdDateStart (Key),
5. End Date: UpdDateEnd.
I understand if the Key field is updated, then it is like it was deleted, and added a new one.
I know how to do that in ASP.NET, but need help in Adobe LiveCycle using JavaScript.
Please help me to write these two functions, as they are very urgent requirement.

In the event Exit of the 1st subforum.invoice you will find the code to assign the value to it's "brother" on page4.
Also, on the add button i added the code to add a record to the page4 subforum.
To make this work you will have to copy/past the code of the exit event to all fields you want to copy and in the xfa.resolvenode("XXXXXXX[].fieldName") command replace fieldname with the actual name of the field you're at.
I didnt't do anything to te remove line button because i don't know how you want it to work, but, if you want to control the p4 subform with the p1 subform, you shouldn't allow for lines to be removed directly in the p4 subform.

How do I copy the directory structure without the files?

I have a folder for Expenses and subfolders under that with expense types such as Meals, Travel, Equipment, etc. I call this folder Expenses 2011.
I would like to create a folder for Expenses 2012 with all of the same sub folders but don't want to copy the files that are there since I would like them empty for the new year.

Well, you could try writing an AppleScript for that. You can search at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads to see if you can find a utility that does it. I did a quick check and did not find anything.

The structure of the profit center report in new GL

Hello,
I must finish a query for the customer this week. This query must base on a sap standard report for the new GL.
Because our ECC 6.0 system hasn't the Enhancement Package 3 (contains the necessary new features) yet, so I can't see this standard report which should be displayed under the path:
SAP Menu --> Accounting --> Financial Accounting --> General Ledger --> Information System --> General Ledger Reports (New) --> Profit Center Reports --> S_E38_98000088 - Profit Center Group: Plan/Actual/Variance
Can somebody tell me the structure of this report, if you can see this report in your system?
- Which key figure has been used in the report?
- What are in the rows and columns?
- Which characteristics are available to navigation?
- Which variables and General data selections are there?

Then my suggesion is you copy the form & report structure of most suitable report (which you have downloaded through FGIQ) .Modify the form according to your reporting requirement. Create new report by coping standard report & assign this newly created form to this report.This will serve your purpose.
Please do not make any changes to standard report.Copy it & then do the changes.
Transaction code for the same is FGI0 or FGI1 or FGI2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or FGI6.
Second suggestion is in SPRO in GL information system (infact in each information system ) you will find drilldown report node in that import report transaction e.g. FSIQ .Import all reports you might get your required report.

How to delete the structure created from Tx: EEWB ?

Hi SAP Gurus
I have an issue at hand. I have added three components in the structure BUS000___I and the components are ZZ1, ZZ2, ZZ3, I was following the EEWB wizard and from there these three components were made, now I cannot delete these components directly from SE11. Because after adding these components the system is not allowing me to do so and is asking for the access code.
I am getting a syntax error in all the tx where Business Partner is used. No old versions for this structure was found in the system. The only structure that has come into this BP structure is ZBSTC0000000000 followed by three data elements of this structure.
I know the Project and the enhancement that was created and I have tried deleting the enhancement from EEWB but when i try deleting it, it always fall into an intermediate stage where it leaves some entries and due to these left over entries these errors are coming.
Another imp thing is that the structure that i have reported is a newly created one I cannot find this anywhere else. looks like this structure was created after executing the EEWB transaction only.
Now when I try activating the enhancement again the magic wand button used to activate an enhancement and the generate button is also inactive in EEWB and now it is not getting activated, even after rt click enhancement then clicking change or by clicking on the edit-change button on the top tool bar. Do you think if I create another enhancement this button might get activated?
Please let me know how do I delete these components.
