Crystal Reports Excel Export Issue - page footer not being displayed
We recently converted all Crystal Reports from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2005 sp1, .NET 2.0, Crystal Reports for .NET. I have the latest merge modules from business objects. All reports & footers worked fine in VS2003 ... but now when I export to PortableDocumentFormat (PDF) or WordForWindows (DOC) the page footers appear correctly. But, when I export to Excel (XLS) like the code below, the page footers do not appear. We need to place a disclaimer at the bottom of every page of an exported excel document. I checked the print preview, and I tested printing the document ... the the footer is not being utilized properly by the Crystal Reports export.

on my development workstation i found the file 3 times

on my development server (and our other environment servers too)

so just from that i notice that the file versions in the 2.7 bin are different from my developer workstation to my development server ... but the issue still occurs in both places. -
Query regarding Crystal Reports Server
Hi,
I am new to Crystal Reports.
I have created a couple of .rpt files using CR2008 and I am loading these report files in my aspx pages using CrystalReportViewer control.
I am planning to host my webApp on IIS in production environment. Maximum simultaneous/concurrent connections to my reports would be 1 or 2.
My question is:
1. Do I need Crystal Reports Server in this scenario?
2. In future if the number of concurrent users to report increases then do I need to go for Crystal Reports Server? Will just buying and installing the Crystal reports server on production server work? or will I have to do some configuration or some other changes in the existing deployed reports? OR Will I have to deploy my existing reports on Crystal Report Server again?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Embedding WebI and Crystal reports on a web page
Hi,
I'm new to BO, so please bear with me. I've also posted this to the .NET-side, so sorry if you've seen this post before.
We have a project where we will need to embed WebI and Crystal reports on a web page, i.e. we want the people who access the web page to get the reports (mainly graphs) as embedded content on the web page without any controls and other clutter.
Is this possible and what's the correct way of doing this?

We still face the original problem, though. I.e. with openDocoument we get the report, controls, tab selections, scroll bars etc. What we actually would like is to get just the contents of a report.
Is there any way of doing it? We're not afraid of coding, we have good developers. Or do we need to schedule report creation to some format (e.g. PDF) and then load the PDF to the web page?
Basicaly it's more important to get this working for WebI reports as we can redo almost all reports from Crystal to WebI. Of course we are happy to find a resolution for both cases.

Crystal report displays only few pages,
Hello,
We have problem with crystal report preview option. Basically its a cross tab report and when we have a preview it displays only two pages. Even though we have 40 pages worth data.
When we export to PDF we see all pages of data. If we print directly from crystal only 2 pages gets printed.

In one crystal report, there are more than 20 pages. Now in first page data coming fine, but in most of the pages, the lines (column lines, vertical lines) are not ending or not touching the horizontal line which really looks very odd. Please helpHi,
There are a couple of options when formatting the lines that you can try.
For the horizontal lines in the format dialog check the 'Move to bottom of section when printing' option.
For the vertical lines, make sure they extend into the section with the horizontal line and in the format dialog check the 'Extend to bottom of section when printing' option.
This generally tidies things up but the real trick is in getting the lines in the correct sections. I try and avoid lines where possible since the lining up always takes time but it is often useful to have a section below the main printing section which is only for the horizontal line.

I am now working on 2 sub reports On-demand bringing into the crystal report;
but the page heading for two reports both were changed as Report Heading, and then the 2nd page more will not be displayed with heading.

We are integrating crystal reports with ASP (Active Server Pages). We have decided to upgrade the version from releaseX1 to crystal rpeorts 2008. Does 2008 support RDC? Here's what you need to do:
1) Create an array variable to accumulate the object 'C' when object 'D' = "T". The formula would be:

2) Create a new Report Footer b section. In the Report Footer a section, use this formula:

3) Insert a Subreport in the Report Footer b section with the same universe as the datasource
4) Right-click the Subreport and select 'Change Subreport Links' > Move the above formula in the 'Fields to link to' area and uncheck 'Select data in Subreport based on field'
5) In the Subreport create this new formula:
if {table1.B} in {?Pm-@name} then {table1.B} else "Others" //{?Pm-@name} is the name of the parameter that we linked from Main Report to Subreport
6) Create a group on the above formula
7) Insert a summary on the 'A' field. Go to Insert > Summary > Choose 'A' as the field to summarize, select Count as the operation and choose the summary location to be 'Group 1'.
This will show the Count of field A when table1.B in (select C from table2 where D = 'T').
You can then suppress all the other sections of the Main Report except the section that holds the Subreport.
The report will also show a group called "Others" that does not meet the condition. You can write a Group Selection formula to suppress this group:
Not(@formula_name = "Others")

Problem passing parameter to crystal report subreport from *.aspx page
Background:
I am developing a .NET web application using Visual Studio 2005. The code behind is in VB.net. One of my asp.net pages calls a report, which is invoked when the user clicks a Print button. I have developed this report using the Crystal Reports software that is bundled with Visual Studio 2005. I am passing one parameter from the asp.net page (utilizing the VB.net code-behind on the Print button) to the Crystal report. The report consists of a main report and 5 subreports. Both the main report and the subreports use the same parameter. Both the main report and the subreports are bound to stored procedures, each of which require a parameter.
Problem:
For some reason, the parameter is not being passed from the asp.net page to the report. I am receiving the following error: "CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ParameterField.CurrentValueException: Missing Parameter Values." However, when I remove the subreports, the parameter gets passed, and the report is invoked with no problem.
I have read in other forums that there may be an issue with the Crystal Reports software that is causing this problem. I have downloaded and run the suggested hotfix, but the problem remains unresolved. I have tried changing the linking of my main report to the subreport, but that doesn't help either. It is possible that I am doing something wrong with the linking, as this is the first time I have developed a report with Crystal Reports. I need a workaround or definitive solution. I've now gotten past the "missing parameter values" error, and the report renders fine in the report viewer. However, I've encounted another problem. The data in my main report displays correctly, but the data in my subreport does not display. Of course, when I view the report in the designer, both the main report and subreport display correctly. Crystal Report Lines / Boxes not show in Excel
In Crystal Report 2008, I created a report with lines and boxes inserted. I then imported into SAP B1 8.8. The report looks fine in crystal report viewer with all the correct formatting. I exported the report as Ms Excel (with formatting).
After exported to Excel, the report looks fine for the most part but all the lines and boxes are not showing at all. I went back to CR designer and tried to mofify the format of the lines / boxes but they still not showing in Excel. is there any way to fix the display of those boxes and lines?Hi,
Format like lines/Boxes cannot be exported. If you want the exact layout, print to PDF file may be your only option.

Regarding Crystal Reports 2013 SP1/SP3 runtime distribution clafrifications

We are in process of migrating exsisting Crystal Reports from CR 2008 SP4 to CR 2013 SP1/SP3.
Iam unable to find the corresponding msms for the same for runtime distribution (to install on end user Boxs).
Can see latest as v.13.0.13.1597 (_http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7824)
Please help out link where I can download msi (or msms) for Crystal Reports 2013 SP1/SP3 runtimes that need to be deployed on user PCs.
Also need advise
( i ) Can we install both runtimes (CR 2008 SP4 and CR 2013 SP1) on user PC at same time?
( ii ) We have already deployed CR 2008 SP4 runtimes on user PCs, is that sufficient? or do we need to install any other runtime?
( iii ) Will CR 2013 SP1 support old CR 2008 SP4 ?

Rajeshwar RaoCrystal 2013 does not come with the SDK, instead you have to download Crystal for Visual Studio AND update your code to use it. You can't just install one of the .msi files or the .msm file (which are all available at the link you show above) and expect it to work with existing code.

I doesn't get any error. the problem is when i use Show dialog the report is generating but i doesn't access other sap forms before closing the report window.When i us Show() method the report content is not displaying.even i refresh it,it doesn't show anything.I can't close the report itself.
please help me to solve the problem.

Eventhough i create a thread,iam getting the report viewer.But it didn't display the report.How to solve the issue.The following is my code.

I am having one requirement ie.
Normally we are giving..i.e
We are using parameter in Sap b1 like Docentry
Based on this one Docentry the data will fetch from the data base and it will shows into the sap crystal reprot

todocentry = 5
so, 1,2,3,4,5 five documents should be generate one by one in crystal report in single crystal report not 5 pdf files single pdf should have 5 doc entries
